After the brief discussion, They all went into their tents.
May and Coral sle-pt in the same tent while Raymond and Ryder sle-pt in the other.
“Here’s really sad” May muttered, looking at the tent’s ceiling.
“Why do you say that?” Coral asked, without looking at her.
“I thought I would be happy if we came here. However, I can’t believe I cried like that earlier”
Coral giggled.
“You like Raymond, don’t you?”
“It’s obvious” May smiled.
“So, why aren’t you both dating? You guys really…fit for each other”
“Really? Thank you. I don’t really know why he isn’t asking me out yet. Or should I just confess properly to him and ask him to date me?”
“Can you do that?” Coral asked, widening her eyes. She faced her now in curiosity.
“I can… I’m not really a shy person, you know” May replied.
“Then, tell him. Tell him you wanna date him… You should make him accept your-
“Why are you persuading me to ask him out?”
“Eh?”
“I mean,, it’s like you are seriously forcing me to date him. Is there anything I should know about?”
Coral swallowed ha-rd, nervously.
“Meaning?” She for-ced a silent chuckle.
“I’m thinking you saw Raymond looking at some girl at the beach. You don’t want him for anybo-dy except me, eyy? You are such a good person with a golden heart” May smiled and held Coral’s hand.
Coral smiled and quickly took her eyes back to the ceiling. She inhaled softly, in relief.
“But can I ask, Coral?” May asked.
“What’s that?” Coral asked, back, taking her eyes to her.
“Raymond…he liked you then, right?”
“Yeah… that was in high school. He liked me a lot. Everyone knew he had this undeniable and strong crush for me”
“Aiish…you don’t have to make me jealous, you know” May said, pla-yfully.
“Ah…sorry” Coral laughed.
“It’s fine since you rejected him anyway”
Coral laughed and shook her head. She took her face back to the ceiling.
“But why did you even reject him? He’s very handsome, smart and nice to be rejected”
“Thats because my heart didn’t beat for him. Maybe girls then could die for him. However, I was different. I didn’t even have the tiniest feeling for him and I had no idea why. Prolly because not everyone’s heart is not meant to beat for that special someone”
“Not on Raymond’s side. It simply means you had a heart disease then. Not because your heart didn’t catch feelings”
Coral only laughed.
“You are really funny, you know that”
May smiled.
“Tell me how it happened?”
Coral faced her.
“What?” She asked.
“How did you reject Raymond then? I wanna know. I wonder how he felt then. I can only imagine the scenerio but I want you to tell me what really happened” May said.
Coral cleared her throat.
“It happened when we were in middle school. We were 16 and 17 years respectively-
“Wait… How old are you now?” May
quickly cut her off.
“Oh. I’m 21”
“Awesome. Ryder’s age mate. I’m 20” May smiled.
“That means I’m your unnie(older sister)” Coral chuckled.
“Yes” May smiled wi-dely.
She ru-bbe-d her head on Coral’s arm.
“Now, continue, Unnie”
Coral smiled and nodded.
Flash back***
“Hi” Raymond muttered with a small nervous smile on his face. He sat down close to Coral on the bench in the school’s restaurant.
Coral, whose mouth was filled with the rice she munched, looked at him without chewing anymore. It made her cheek swell.
She quickly swallowed it.
Raymond quickly gave her a cu-p of water which she took down instantly.
“How may I help you?” She asked, and kept the cu-p back on the table.
Raymond inhaled dee-ply. Coral’s eyes noticed girls looking at him, talking and sitting with Coral.

Coral quickly looked at him.
“What do you want?” Her voice was a bit cold.
“I’m Raymond-

“Huh? How? How did you know? We aren’t even in the same cl@$$”
“Everyone in the school knows the most handsome, smart and nice prince charming in school. No matter how I avoid it, I keep on hearing about you and even seeing your pictures. Most girls post your pictures like you asked them out-
“I didn’t!” He snapped.
“Pardon?” She raised a brow.
“I said I didn’t…I never asked a single girl out”
“So? What am I supposed to do? You don’t have to be se-ntimental. And what if you did, what should I do?”
“Then snatch me away from that girl”
“What?” Coral laughed.
“You are really funny, you know”
“Well, I’m being serious now” Raymond muttered.
“Huh? What do you mean?”
“Coral?”
“Huh? How do you know my name?”
“Why won’t I know the name of the girl I like?”
Coral opened her eyes wi-dely.
“Ssh! Others might hear you”
“Let them hear” He said.
“It’s like you want me a target to bullies? I don’t wanna die young, please” Coral shook her head.
“Listen to me…” He said.
“I am listening. What do you have to say?” She asked.
“I’m being serious. I really like you”
Coral stared at him like he was just a joke. Her eyes was just like, whether you are serious or not, please, just leave.
“Date me, Coral”
“What?”
“I’m asking you out”
“What’s he saying?”
“…Be my girlfriend”
“No!” She yelled and stood up.
“What?”
“I said No!!”
“Why? Why? Why not? What..what’s wrong?”
“I can’t date you because I have no feelings for you”
“Wh…at? What do you mean?? Other girls can even die for me”
“Sorry but not me. I don’t even have any ounce of feeling for you” Coral said.
She carried her tray of food, ready to leave.
“Now if you would excuse me” She said, and walked out.
Many laughed, especially the boys.

“Aiish! So embarr@$$ing” Raymond muttered, stood up and walked away, briskily.
After School Hours***
“Hey, you…the heart breaker” Raymond gestured at Coral who was walking home.
Coral stopped and looked back. She looked in front again where Raymond stood.
“Me?” She questioned and pointed at her che-st.
“Yeah” He replied.
Coral sighed.
“What do you want, dude”
“Will you date me?” He asked.
“And my answer till eternity will forever be No! Got that?”
“If you can’t date me,, then be my friend”
“Your what?”
“Friend. I noticed you had no friends. I have none too. So, let’s just be friends”
Coral raised her brows.
“Just friends?”
“Just friends” He replied.
“Call!”
“Wow” He giggled.
Coral walked to him.
“You said your name is Raymond?”
“Yes” He nodded.
“Raymond is too long, don’t you think?”
“How?”
“What about Ray?”
“Huh?”
“I’m gonna call you, Ray from now on”
“Okay. You can”
Coral smiled at him.
“Let’s go, Ray”
“Oh yeah… Let’s go, friend” He smiled back.
They slowly walked out from the scene.
Prese-nt Day***
“Wow. I felt a bit jealous when you were telling me these but i still feel really grateful that you declined him. It gives me a bigger percent to date him”
“He’s all yours” Coral winked.
“Hmm… May?” Coral called.
“What?” May answered, politely.
“Sorry but can I ask about your friend, Sasha?”
“Huh? Why? What about her?”
“Just few things I’m curious about”
“Hmm…Go on. What do you wanna know?” May asked.
Coral gave a quick smile.
“Are you happy that Sasha is with Marcus?”
“Huh?”
“I noticed you acted all happy and cool with her that day but I could read your mind. You actually don’t like her anymore”
May slowly looked down at my feet. She inhaled dee-ply and looked down.
“To be sincere,, I don’t like what Sasha did to me. I’m quite disappointed”
“Does it mean you would be glad if your ties with Sasha was cut off?”
“Why not? I’m just pretending cause I don’t wanna hurt her. Sasha is totally wrong and i think I’m wrong too, for pla-ying and pretending with her feelings when I should tell her that I’m hurt and I’m disappointed at her”
Coral slowly looked at the phone close to her. She smiled when she saw it recording successfully. She quickly looked at May.
“Tell me more” Coral whispered.
