Percy stared at Sandra in surprise. She was very shocked. They stared at each other in belief.
“San…dra? Is that you!” Percy shouted.
Sandra quic-kly stood up.
“Yeah! It’s you, right? Percy?”
“It’s Percy,, girl!” Percy exclaimed, joyfully.
Sandra yelped aloud that even the others had to close both ears with their hands.
“What’s going on?” Celia asked.
Carlos looked at the both, trying to figure out what was going on.
Sandra ran to Percy, opened her arms wi-de while Percy ran into her and gave her a ti-ght hu-g. Sandra seized her whole b©dy and ti-ghtly hu-gged her as well.
“How long as it been? I fu-cking missed you” Sandra said.
“Never knew I would see you here. I missed you so much” Percy said.
They broke the hu-g, smiled at their faces and looked at everyone. Percy’s arm was around Sandra’s wa-ist.
“Everyone,, This is my long time best friend. We knew each other since we were teenagers but due to some personal reasons, we lost each other. We couldn’t even contact the other. Here and now, We are together and I would be so grateful if you treat her kindly” Percy said.
Everyone clapped and smiled at them. Some even congratulated them.
“I’m happy that you guys finally get to meet. How many years has it been?” Celia asked.
“I met her when I was just 16. Then she was 15… We knew each other till we got to 17 and 16 respectively before ties were cut” Sandra explained and Percy nodded.
“How did you guys cut ties?” Celia asked.
“Ma’am?” Carlos suddenly called, with an arm up.
Celia faced him.
“Yes? What is it, Carlos?”
“They made it known it was a personal reason. I think we should let them be,, don’t you think?” He asked.
Celia cleared her throat and nodded.
“I agree… Well, we are happy for you both but we still nee-d to continue our meeting” Celia said.
“Uhm… Right now, I’m in a rush” Percy retorted.
“I…don’t un-derstand. Why now? I’m sure you said your schedule wasn’t ti-ght-
“It’s ti-ght now because I have a friend to attend to. You don’t how long it has been. I wanna have a small talk and… get together with her”
“Can’t you do it next time?. We really nee-d to-
“Ma’am? Let’s them be. How would you feel if you grand children whom you missed dearly comes back from the US? Would you continue this meeting?” Carlos sharply cut in.
Celia looked at him and sighed.
“Just let them be” Carlos said, and stood up.
“Wait. I’m just gonna chose our models for the clothing br@nd, Burberry” Percy said.
“So, who is it gonna be?” Celia turned to her.
Carlos was now walking away, out of the room. He just wanted to leave.
“Uhm…I want that guy” Percy pointed at Carlos.
“Carlos? Well, sure…But he’s expensive” Celia said.
Carlos stopped and turned to them.
“Who cares if he’s expensive. My friend here is sh*tty expensive!” Percy giggled and shook Sandra.
Sandra laughed.
“Stop flattering me,, plea-se”
Carlos scoffed and walked out.
“That guy,, he doesn’t have to leave. Well,, who is the female model? Carlos is the male”
“Who else but my friend here. You are gonna take it, right?”
“Uhmmm”
“Aiish! Take it!
“Ayy…Why won’t I?”
“Alright guys. Meeting is over. Sandra, let’s move” Percy held her arm and walked her out after they both took their hand bags.
Sasha’s Place***
“Sasha? We are off to work. A business trip” Sasha’s mum said.
Sasha looked at her from the be-d and nodded.
“Where’s Dad?”
“Outside. He’s waiting for me in the car” Her mom replied softly.
Sasha sighed de-eply.
“When will you guys…be coming back home?” She asked.
“Soon. Okay love, take care of yourself. Love you” Her mom smiled and blew a air ki-ss to her.
Afterwards, she left.
Sasha sighed de-eply and looked down.
“You always say soon. Yet, you come after months. Makes me look more like an orphan” She sobbe-d.
She took out her drawer and brou-ght out the pregnancy test.
“I’m so damn scared” She muttered.
AT A BAR****
“You didn’t tell me anything before leaving Italy” Percy whispered, taking the gla-ss of whiskey into her mouth.
Sandra sighed and looked at her. She held her own gla-ss of whiskey.
“Life wasn’t fair then. I had to make ends meet for me and my baby. Italy was quite tough. See, I’m ma-king cool money here”
Sandra inhaled de-eply before continuing.
“However, I’m really sorry for not telling you. I had to leave fast then”
“You could have just texted me. I missed you so much. But Ryder had it tough… He missed May. He even cried when he realized that you left. I couldn’t even console him”
Sandra chuckled softly.
“How old is he now? He was just 6 then, right?”
Percy nodded.
“He’s a big guy now. He’s 21”
“May is 20. Both of them grew so well”
“Wow,, I would love to see May…
“May isn’t in here in Korea”
“What? Then,, where…is she now?”
“Italy”
“What!!?”
“Yeah. She went to Law school”
“Oh” Percy’s voice went down.
“I do un-derstand you now. You wanted to be a lawyer then but your dream was cut short because of that…pregnancy”
Sandra looked down, at the table and swallowed ha-rd. She interlocked her fin-gers and sighed.
“I want her to live my dreams. I want to just gain the happiness I wished for. Since I couldn’t achieve it because of her, I decided she would achieve for me”
Percy nodded and they both took in another gla-ss of whiskey.
“So, how’s Ryder?” Sandra asked.
“Great. He’s a real spender now. Dad and Mum are really giving him a ha-rd time too”
“Oh my. I hope he has it cool later”
“I do hope so too”
“So, what do you do now? You married? Got kids?” Sandra asked.
Percy laughed.
“I own a boutique-
“Darn it! You gotta be kidding me!” Sandra gushed, opening her eyes wi-de.
“Yeah, Per’s Boutique,, You know it, right?”
“You gotta be kidding me? I go there when I nee-d to change my wardrobe”
“And we never even saw each other for once?” Percy said.
“Mehn! It’s quite absurb. So, you own Per’s Boutique, like seriously?”
“I wouldn’t give you a lie. At least not now”
“You’re right” Sandra laughed.
“Urmm,, So… you married? got kids?”
“Well. Not married yet. Don’t even have a boyfriend”
“Whoa”
“Got no kids either. You married?”
Sandra smiled.
“Who would marry a single mom?”
“Don’t say that. Why are you trying to spoil this atmosphere?”
“Uh…So, when did you and your family move back to Korea?”
“When I turned 20. Ryder was 10 then”
“So, you moved exactly 4 years after I left?”
“Yup”
“Why did you guys leave Italy? You all were living fine”
“We are living fine here too. Besides, We nee-ded the Ko-rean blood in us again. It’s our real home after all”
Sandra smiled.
“But you know, Ryder was the main reason we left Italy”
“What?”
“He cried everyday. He ate less. He couldn’t sleep. As little as he was, he got depressed. He was so sick”
“Why? What went wrong?”
“Why else? It because he missed your daughter”
“May?”
“Yeah. He came back for her”

“Bye” May waved.
Ryder smiled and waved back to her.
“Hurry. You might get past your curfew”
“I wanna get past it” He chuckled.
“Why? You don’t wanna sleep at your place?”
“Yeah. I wanna stay here”
“Keep on dreaming. My chef god…Raymond won’t even allow you stay. Just go, bye”
Ryder smiled and walked away.
“Wait!” He suddenly heard May’s loud voice.
Ryder turned to her.
“You forgot this” She said, showing him a wrist watch. It was one of his expensive show off.
“Sh*t! I forgot that. I pu-lled it off when I wanted to cook”
May shook her head and slowly walked to him in order to give him,, his wrist watch.
She was still walking when she mistakenly hit a small rock. She trembled and was about stumbling to the ground but Ryder was extremely fast in running up to her.
He wi-dened his legs as he caught her with his arm before she reached the ground. He held her around her wai-stwhile she held onto his ne-ck.
“You alright?” He asked.
May looked de-eply into his eyes and swallowed ha-rd. She felt so nervous.
“What are you guys doing?” They both heard a voice.
They turned their faces to the side to see Raymond and Coral staring at him.
May wi-dened her eyes, quic-kly pushed Ryder to the floor and stood up straight.
Coral ran to Ryder quic-kly.
“You alright?” She asked, stretching her hand towards him.
Ryder gr-unted. Instead of taking her hand, he took his head, slightly to see May staring at Raymond. He was still on the ground.
Coral noticed where his eyes looked and she turned her ne-ck. Of course, May was still looking back at Raymond who looked back at him, with an unconcerned look.
