“I’M MARY, WHO ARE YOU?” Mary asked…her brows knitted together in utter confusion.
Cora and Larisa both exchanged glances. What’s she talking about?
Cassius wore a confused expression too at her question, his sad expression faded away instantly.
“Luna is me Cassius… Aren’t you seeing me?” He asked and Waved his hands on her face.
Mary blinks which meant She was vividly seeing him very well.
“Damn it Cassius, she is seeing us. She hurt her head not her eyes” Larisa hissed from were she stood.
Cora nodded in agreement to what she said.
Mary diverted her eyes towards them and they both smiled at her.
‘Who are they?’ These were the words that rang in Mary’s head.
She woke up Minutes ago just to see herself in the hospital. All she was able to remember is her name.
Cassius was just watching her every action, obviously she is angry with him for lying and hurting her.
“Luna…” Cora and Larisa approached her.
“How are you feeling?” Cora asked and tried to touch her. Mary eyes travelled to her hands on hers.
“I’m not actually fine, my head hurts” Mary replied her.
“You will be fine darling” Larisa rubbed her hands and Mary smiled.
“But who are you guys?” She finally asked the question ringing in her head. She looked from Cassius to them.
They all widened their eyes. Cassius sighed out.
“I know you’re angry with me but please Luna don’t act as if you don’t remember me, even your girls” Cassius said.
“My girls?” Mary muttered and Cora and Larisa nodded at her.
“I don’t know you all” Mary said and Cassius faced palmed himself. Well he deserves her snub.
“Luna…” He called so ever gently.
“My name is Mary” She muttered interrupting him.
“It’s me Cassius, your fiancee” He points his chest. Mary’s brows knitted together in utter confusion again.
She looked at the Cora and Larisa as they both nodded.
Just then the door pulled opened as Logan and Dacio entered inside.
“Baby” Cora walked and held Dacio immediately she saw him.
Larisa also walked towards Logan as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
“Where is godfather?” She asked.
“Uncle is on his way, he is still organizing somethings at the clan” Logan replied.
“How is she?” Dacio asked Cassius.
“She is acting strange” Cassius replied.
Mary just stared so blankly at them all, their faces is so confusing. She shut her eyes closed and opened it again.
Cassius moved his hands and placed his palm on her forehead.
Mary opened her eyes and stared at him.
“Luna…how are you feeling?” Dacio gently asked as Cassius removed is hands off her forehead.
“My name isn’t Luna but Mary” Mary slightly frowned, why is everyone Calling her Luna?
Dacio looked at Cora who had a sad expression on.
“She is really acting strange” Logan said.
He walked and gave Cassius something.
“Here” He handed over Mary’s ring to him.
“Thanks” Cassius faced Mary, he gently took her left hand and slids the ring in her middle finger.
Mary stared at the sparking ring on her finger with utter Confusion and admiration. She is admiring the ring because it’s a beautiful one.
“Even though you’re angry with me, you still got to wear your Ring mama cos we are engaged” He kissed the ring on her finger.
“I’m sorry for hurting you” He muttered.
“I don’t remember getting engaged to you” Mary said with all seriousness which meant she is serious.
“This is serious” Logan muttered.
“Did she lost her memories or what?” Dacio asked and Cora glance up at him making him to peck her nose.
“That’s absurd,we aren’t in any f**cking movies” Cora said.
“Luna can’t just loss her memories” Larisa said.
They all watched her and that made her uncomfortable some how.
“Luna…” Cassius called.
“I’m Mary” She corrected.
“Did you forget everything? Did you forget about us? Don’t you remember anything? You don’t remember me?” He asked at once. He chuckled up shaking his head.
“Why am I even asking stupid questions, you can’t just…”
“I don’t know you, all I know is my name is Mary” Mary cut in immediately sounding Frank with what she had just said.
Cassius widened his eyes.
“That can’t be true. Think Luna, try to remember something. We were recently engaged and we are lovers” Cassius said looking into her eyes, Mary too was looking into his eyes.
Is he been real here? Maybe he is right, because all she knows now is her name.
She journeyed to crack her brain in other to remember something like he said but on the quest of that…her head tumbled hurting so bad as If it’s gonna burst open.
“Ahhhhh!!!!” She let out a very agonizing scream which couldn’t control from escaping her throat.
Everybody inside the ward had a very worried expression as they all widened their eyes with concern written all over their faces.
The one with the highest capacity of it was Cassius.
“Are you okay? Does it hurt?” He asked with so much concern.
“Ahhhhh!!” Mary let out another agonizing scream.
“Call the doctor!” Cassius shouted and immediately Cora ran out to fetch the doctor.

✓HOURS LATER✓
Vito walked into the hospital, he marched straight to where his son is sitted looking so much like a shadow of himself.
He still wore his engagement outfit. His shirt is all stained with Mary’s blood stain.
His hair is dishelved because of his numerous ruffling of it. He looked so much exhausted but he isn’t giving up yet.
Mary is sleeping after some tests was carried out on her from the doctor and the results is yet to come out.
The others has left. Cora and Larisa left to bring some clothes and other necessary things for Mary.
Cassius doesn’t wanna leave, he want to stay by her side and also wait for the results.
He is waiting for the worst. He is praying that she doesn’t loss her memories.
That will be a disaster.
“Son…” Vito quietly sat beside his son. The last time he saw him on this state was three years ago, when he knocked Mary down and she lost her unborn child. Cassius would have killed himself if Mary hadnt survived the accident.
Cassius who had his head lowered, raised it up as his eyes landed on his father’s worried expression.
“I killed and destroyed her the second time father, would she ever forgive me? I just wanted her not to end up how mother did. What if she loses her memories father…” Cassius trailed off as he cleaned the tears that has ran down his eyes.
Vito placed his hand on his shoulder.
“Real men don’t cry” His deep voice whispered to him, But it was loud enough for Cassius to hear.
“A man who couldn’t keep the woman he loves isn’t real” Cassius said as he looked away, his eyes glancing towards Mary’s ward door.
Silence instantly reigned between the father and son. Few minutes later the doctor approached them.
Sighting Vito he bowed his head, actually Vito is one of the sponsors of the hospital.

✓DOCTORS OFFICE✓
“You may sit Sir” The Doctor offered sit to Cassius. Who sat down as he waited for whatever the doctor got to say.
“My name is doctor Steve” The doctor introduced.
“How is my fiancee, Doc? Cassius asked.
Doc Steve flipped through some papers, with his eyeglasses placed on the tip of his Nose.
“She has dementia, resulting to her lossing some of her memories” He looked up at Cassius who widened up his eyes, he wasn’t really that much surprise but was shocked.
“What the f**ck doctor, she just hurt her head that wouldn’t in anywhere result in her lossing her memories. Are you sure you carried out the surgery very well. If any shit happen to her I’m gonna burn down this hospital” Cassius threatened, the doctor removed his glasses and dropped it on the table.
“We never expected her to loss her memories after the surgery because it was a success. But after we carried out the test we found out she lost some memories” Doc Steve said.
“Some? She f**cking lossed everything, the only thing she Remembered is her old name…which doesn’t make any damn sense” Cassius said sounding annoyed, obviously he is because his two brows knitted together making the two Lines on his forehead to be visible.
“It sure makes sense Sir because that’s what her memory wanted to remember at the main time. Seems her memories bears only rough things and that made her to let go of those things she doesn’t wanna remember for the main time, but don’t worry she will regain them in a week time or month, depending on how she is been treated and taken care of” Doc Steve explained and it all rendered Cassius speechless, he was lost of words.
But Inwardly he was blaming himself for Mary’s situation now.
“If she says her name is Mary, then so be it…she shouldn’t be forced to regain her memories…it’s a gentle process, if triggered roughly she might end up not remembering them at all again” Doc Steve explained more further. Cassius looked up and down.
His face seems so exhausted, a hard and exhausted sigh escaped his lips.
“I’m starting from the scratch Again…this is too much for me” He muttered.
“But there is one Goodnews to sort and calm your heart I guess Mr Cassius” Doc Steve spoke up and Cassius glance at him so lazily and weak.
“What sort of Goodnews?” He asked.
“She is a month pregnant”
