Married to Victor Stephen episode 8

MARRIED TO VICTOR STEPHEN

#Episode_8📝

I got home a bit late. I had called Victor, so I wasn’t de-eply worried. The moment I stepped into the living room, I couldn’t help smiling at what I saw.

“Merry Christmas!” Both Emmanuella and Emmanuel screamed at the t©p of their voices. They decided to start their Christmas alre-ady when we still have a day left. They were both in their Christmas caps, gloves, and the new shoes Victor bought for them.
I was still staring at the surprise before me, and how they got to know where I hid the shoes and everything. I could hear Victor laughing. His rich voice reaching me. He didn’t look sober, and he wasn’t looking so happy. But he looked okay.
He was still laughing. “I actually thought they were only laying the be-d, and arranging both Mom and Dad’s room alone. I never knew they have their mission,” he said.
I couldn’t help but chuckled as I dropped my bag and took a seat on the single couch next to Victor. I was so tired, but I felt relaxed watching the drama pla-yed by my little ones. “You should re-move those things before you get it dirty.” I said to them, hoping they do as I say.
“No mommy, let’s start wearing it today,” Emmanuella said, flashing her white teeth at me.
“Yes mommy,” Emmanuel didn’t wait to add his own point of view. “We will show everyone at the church tomorrow. And Daddy Jesus will be very happy with us.”
I couldn’t st©p the giggle.
Daddy Jesus

I could see Daddy Jesus smiling at them as well. “Mommy, is Aunty Love, and brother David coming?” Emmanuella asked. I nod my head and the two squealed happily. “Yeey!!”
“Is brother George, Gabriel, and Gideon coming too?” Is like they’ve both rehearsed together. I replied with a nod, but I wasn’t sure Victoria would be able to make it with her children this year.

“Mommy what about Abbie, and little Tommy?” They both asked about Yomi’s children. I replied with a nod, and they screamed again. Immediately, Emmanuella shouted. “Merry Christmas!”
“And Happy, happy, new year!” Emmanuel screamed too. I couldn’t help laughing. Where did they throw the ‘advance’ ?
They started running around the house, while I took the chance to turn to the man beside me. His full concentration was on his phone. “You’ve eaten?” I asked him in a very low voice. “Yea,” he replied without looking at me.

“be-d time!” I got up and put off the television. None of them was even watching the cartoon that was ma-king a hell of noise. I took them to their rooms, and changed them into their pyjamas. I couldn’t take back the caps, and the shoes, but I succeeded to get it from them, putting it one corner where they could see it.
Immediately I left them alone, Victor and I resumed back to our room. He was silent. He stayed quiet, not saying a single word. But I could see him watching me throu-gh the mirror, where I stood n-ked checking my flat tummy. He wanted to talk, but once he opened his mouth, he closed it back. I sli-pped into our bathroom to take a shower, and after some minutes, I stepped out with my towel wra-pped around me.

I couldn’t eat the rice Victor left me because Victoria spoiled me with my favorite. She made me toast bre-ad, and I stepped it down with a very thick tea. I was so happy to see her smile when I gave the little money I could as-sist her with. It was nothing, because that was how we helped each other. I knew she was going throu-gh a lot, and I was glad she confided in me.
I was ma-king use of my cleanser to ru-b away the dirt on my face when I suddenly saw victor stood by the mirror, with his hands folded on his che-st, and his back resting on the wall. I stared at him, and he threw me a smile. “You look beautiful,” he said.
I couldn’t st©p the smile before it could spre-ad all over my face. “Thank you,” I let out a quic-k chuckle. Like, its been long he said that, and at that moment, I felt so special again.
It was my turn to say something nice as well. “You aren’t looking bad too. Just that, you’re getting old sir.” He managed to laugh. I got up, and and re-moved the towel wounded around me as I picked out of my transparent night go-wn. I picked the one he liked, as I put it on. He was back to looking a bit worried.
I knew Victor too well. He was always like that when he has something bothering him. He moved slowly to where I stood, and wra-pped his hands around me. Hisl-ips k!ss!ngmy n£¢k, as his hands were resting on my tummy. He does that a lot, so it was not new to me. “Yey.. He just kicked.” He sounded happy, but I knew he was joking. I giggled to to myself as he ran his hand on my flat stomach. “I’m sorry for raising my voice at you,” he apologized.
I turned around, facing him. His hands still holding me, while I circled my hands around his n£¢k. “I love you,” I said instead. He threw me one of his beautiful smiles, his eyes staring at me pas-sionately. “I will die if someone else ever take my place,” he whispered, his breath fanning the sp©t he k!$$£d. I let out a rou-gh chuckle.
He k!$$£d the same sp©t again, while his two hands holding me, sli-pped into my go-wn finding his way up to his favorites. I gulped at the feeling, holding unto him ti-ghtly. “I want to be able to take care of you, and buy you the nicest, and most expensive things,” he sounded hurt, but he managed to keep reigning his k!sses on me.

“No one will,” I muttered, as he traced down his k!sses to my che-st. “No one will, because I love you,” I repeated to as-sure him that no matter what, I would stand by him, and we would fight it together.

Guess he was too distracted to even hear what I was saying. But after some seconds, he spoke up. “I love you more,” he whispered. “But right now, Daddy nee-ds to visit the paradise,” he added. I gave a light chuckle knowing what he meant by that as he carried me in a bridal style, putting his mouth everywhere. He la-id me on the be-d, and was instantly on t©p of me.
I couldn’t help laughing. “Now that Daddy wants to visit the paradise, he nee-ds to be careful because of junior.’ I giggled after teasing him. He flashed his thirty two like the way Emmanuel would when I’m about to give him gala. I made jest of his boyish grin, as he took away, and discarded everything keeping his rod of moses from visiting my beautiful paradise.

💞💞💞💞💞
Too much of energy I never knew Victor had would spring up when it comes to visiting the paradise. He planted a k!sson my forehead as he la-id down beside me. I moved closer to him, placing my head on his che-st. It was quiet, and very cool. We both relaxed, saying nothing.
“Hmm,” Victor cleared his throat. “Are you awake?” He asked, and I responded by stro-king his che-st with my hand. “I had a fight with Dad,” he blurted at once. I kept quiet so he could continue. “Debr@ had been taking from the company’s money without my knowledge.” He mentioned his accountant. “And now, Dad blamed me for everything. I also lost the contract I told you about, and that made him furious even more,” he paused.

“Suzy he fired me, and it didn’t end well.”

“Like what happened?” I finally spoke up.

He coughed. “We shouted at each other, and cursed. Suzy it’s serious. Dad disappointed me. How could he not believe me!” He sounded de-eply hurt. “I’m his son for crying out loud! I want the best for him.” I was very sure of that.
“Hey,” I tried to calm him down.
“Now, I’m jobless.” He couldn’t say it loud. I heaved a sigh. “You know that’s never the end,” I told him. I knew him to be very positive, and ha-rd working. I was positive he would pick up really fast.
He wanted to say something more, but I guessed he was looking for a way to say it. He cleared his throat again.”And that’s why I would be selling the house.”
“Sell what!” I was instantly up facing him. “What kind of business requires a hvge amount of money?”
“I alre-ady found a buyer, and…” He tried to study my expression.
“And what?” I was too shocked, that I asked him immediately. But he pleaded with his look for me not to go against him. He stared at me and opened his mouth. “I alre-ady found us a new place,” he said.

“Good morning, and Merry Christmas!” Emmanuel and Emmanuella ran into the room.

I laughed as I covered my b©dy with the sheets. “Tomorrow is Christmas o…” I shouted at them, getting them to smile.

“But mommy we will see Father Christmas in church today?” Emmanuel asked.

“Father Christmas or Santa?” Emmanuella argued, and I laughed. Too much of Disney channel.

“Santa ko, Santa ni. You better go and get re-ady because Father Christmas is going today.” Victor said beside me.

“Going today!” Both of them chorused, and stared at each other.
“Mommy let’s go to church.” They both tried to drag me out of the be-d. “Just go and re-move your clothes,” I said, and they ran out with full speed, that I was sure they could run fas-ter that Usain Bolt.

Victor and I laughed.

See what Father Christmas can do with little
children.

Everyone was around to celebr@te the Christmas with us. As usual, we cooked, ate, and drank to our satisfaction. My friends called, and we had a great time talking, and gisting together. One of the Christmas gifts I received was Mercy’s call who announced the birth of her new born baby.

“A boy or a girl?” I asked with so much excitement.
She chuckled before answering me. “A big, bouncing, baby, handsome boy,” she said with so much gladness. I bur-st into heavy laughter. “Mercy, Mercy,” I tea-sed her. I could imagine how wi-de her smile would have become.
I heard her giggle softly. “Suzy the Suzy,” she tea-sed me as well, and I couldn’t help laughing.

“Mummy Maxwell,” I added the name I would love to give the baby.
“Maxwell,” she repeated. “That name is so beautiful dear cousin. I trust you baje.”
I chuckled at myself. “And I have another name you would love so much.”

“Really, let’s hear it,” she said, eager to hear another beautiful name I have for her baby.

“Hmm…” I cleared my throat. “Because he arrived during Christmas, let’s name him Mr. Father Christmas.”
Mercy laughed, and laughed. Her laughter piercing, and almost blocking my left ear. She reduced her laughter, and chuckled lightly. “Suzy, is not only Father Christmas, we will even add Santa to it.”

I could not contain my smile, which turned out to bur-st into a loud laugh. I missed my cousin. I really missed my Mercy. My one and only. We just know how to tease each other, and have fun together. If she was around, it would have been a double fun for me.

I was packing some things for Victoria who would be leaving soon because every new year, we celebr@te with Victor’s parents. But now, I really do not know my husband’s plan. I saw Yomi excused himself from Victor’s group, and immediately, I ran to his side because I’ve been meaning to talk to him, but I could not because he was always with Victor, and their friends.
I pleaded for Yomi to spare me some of his time, and he did. I went straight to the main issue bothering me. “Do you know your cousin is planning to sell this house?” I asked him. He gave me a pity look. He stared at me, de-eply sorry, and with that, I knew it was not hidden from him either.
He opened his mouth to speak. “Suzy, I tried talking to him, but I couldn’t go against him. He has alre-ady made up his mind.”
“Is there no way we can plead with his Dad, and find a way to settle this. This is getting serious.” I tried to let him know my mind.
Yomi scratched the back of his head. “See Suzy, you’re not someone I can lie to, or try to hide the truth from. Victor’s Dad is very stubborn and so is Victor. The family had begged him, but he chose not to listen. He wants to punish both Victor and Debr@,” he explained.
“But Debr@ is the culprit here.” I tried to tell him the fact that was missing.

Yomi nodded. “Yes, and she’s at the station right now. They won’t re-lease her until she confess. But Suzy, Victor’s Dad has chos£n another CEO. He alre-ady made up his mind.”

“Are you kidding! Just like that? So quic-k!” I was surprised. “So he’s not going to do anything about his son after everything Victor has done. That is so ungrateful!” I was getting really angry.

“Hey calm down,” Yomi said. “I’m angry about it too, but when it comes to Victor and his Dad, it’s better not to interfere. Especially you Suzy, you can’t interfere,” he warned me. I was thankful he chose to be clear and honest with me. “Okay, thanks a lot Yomi.” I smiled.

“Our wife, you’re welcome.” He threw me one of his beautiful smiles. My phone rang, interrupting our conversation.

“I should excuse,” Yomi said, and left. I saw the caller, and was a little bit surprised.

“Good afternoon ma,” I greeted.

“Compliment of the season my wife.”
I smiled. “Same to you ma,” I replied, not knowing what else to say again.

“My daughter, I’ve tried Victor’s number, but he wasn’t picking.” I took a quic-k look at Victor and his friends. He was holding his phone, yet he refused to pick his Mom’s call.

“May be he was not with his phone ma,” I lied. “But you can try it now. Would tell him you want to talk to him.”
“Thank you my daughter,” she thanked me. “I hope Victor would allow you and the twins to come. I really missed them,” she sounded gloomy. I could not talk. I fumbled helplessly for words to come out, but nothing, nothing was coming out. Something had gone wrong, and I really did not know how, where, and when it would end.

“plea-se make sure you persuade him to pick the call dear,” she pleaded with me. I felt really bad for what was happening. It’s not something easy for a mother to be separated from her child. My children might still be young, but I knew how worried I get when I don’t see them on time.

I swallowed, and cautiously spoke up.”Yes ma,” I replied, and after some seconds she hung up.
