Lakshmi’s Pov:
I hurried out of the house with my handbag.
Suddenly, I bu-mped into Saloni at the stairs.
“My goodness! Mamaa where are you rushing off to? You almost pushed me down” Saloni exclaimed
“Shut up silly girl! It’s not my fault you can’t watch where you’re going” I lied heading to the door.
“Mamaa I thought you said you wanted to leave for the market?” She asked.
This silly girl is so inquisitive….
I bit myl-ips in annoyance.
“Just let me be Saloni! I don’t want to go to the market again today” I said as she stared at me confused.
“But Mamaa we really nee-d to prepare the food before noon” She said
“We will eat when I get home” I said as I rushed out.
I have no time for her query.
I was overwhelmed with joy as I sat with the buyers of Kush conversing in front of the cave.
“We will have the money transferred to you ma’am” They said.
At the mention of the money, smiles escaped myl-ips.
“That’s very good! One more thing, I hope you guys live in a very far area?” I asked
“Oh about that ma’am, it’s never going to be a problem” They said and I smiled.
Finally, that stupid heir of theirs is finally going to be useful to me.
Krishna’s Pov:
I watched Aakash walk out of the hospital ward with my food flask.
Actually I refused to eat as usual.
They keep telling me that Kush is dead but a p@rt of me tells me my son is alive.
I looked at my hands which were tied to the be-d.
Tears welled down my chubby cheeks.
I wish they could un-derstand but they can’t.
Only Pavitra un-derstands my predic@m£nt.
But there is nothing both of us can do about it.
I kept on crying until I fell asleep.
Some minutes later
The hospital door was opened….
Someone walked in with a surgeon mask.
I couldn’t see the person’s face cos of the mask.
I was half asleep then.
The person brou-ght out a syringe from his pocket.
He walked straight to me and held my mouth.
He was about to inject me when I screamed aloud despite the holding of the mouth.
I gave out a very sharp shout.
He quic-kly let go of me as he heard the footsteps coming.
He quic-kly ran to the window and jumped from there.
But something fell off while he tried to escape.
It was a golden wrist ban-gle.
The doctor’s rushed in and I kept pointing the window.
Too bad, they didn’t find him and they never saw the ban-gle.
Vishnu’s Pov:
I quic-kly pu-ll-ed off the surgeon mask.
“Damn it! Krishna has always been a little witch” I gnashed my teeth in annoyance.
If I had injected her with this, she would have started losing her mind for real.
I thought she was weak…
How come she still screamed?
I have to find a way to get rid of this stupid Krishna.
If the heir can’t come from me then no-one else can bear him.
Once am done with her, she will definitely get back to the slums where she belongs.
I bur-st into laughter.
“Vishnu are you OK?’ Pavitra asked
“Oh ye….Oh yes!!” I stammered
Pavitra was carrying a lunch box
“Where are you going to?” I asked Rani rushed out to join her.
“To the hospital! I nee-d to see Simitra in her coma and then take some food to Krishna” She said
“That’s all she’s good at” I sighed as I watched them disappear out of sight
Lakshmi’s Pov:
I walked into the cave with the buyers.
I quic-kly turned on the light.
I walked to the baby cot where Kush is always being la-id.
My jaw dropped…..
My eyes wi-de-ned in shock.. .
There was no baby in the cot….
My eyes popped out of its socket…

Rohi’s Pov:
I kept running in the jungle carrying baby Kush.
I have to leave this place as fast as possible so that ma’am Lakshmi notices the baby’s abs£nt and mine too.
I kept running helter skelter ….
Till I got to the main road where I saw Saloni waiting impatiently with a cab.
I rushed into the cab and ban-ged the car door closed.
Smiles filled Saloni’s face.
She jumped in excitement.
“Where do we go from here?” I asked anxiously
“To the mansion….” Saloni said as the car drove off.
I stared at the very cute baby boy….
He smiled at me….
So cute 😘
Krishna’s Pov:
The doctor were still confused why I screamed.
I wish they could see the ban-gle on the ground.
For some days, I lost my voice and I ha-rd ly talk.

“What could have possibly made her yell?” The doctor asked
“I have no idea doctor! The security have searched everywhere thor0ûghly without a sight of anything strange” The nurse said.
Just then, the door throw open and Pavitra walked in.
She smiled at me happily.
“Krishna how are you doing?” She asked as she pe-cked me.
I f0rç£d a smile at her.
She noticed my look and felt I was troubled.
“What’s the problem Krishna?” She asked
I tried talking but I just can’t….
I can’t find my very own voice.
Tears streamed down my cheeks.
She picked up her handbag and brou-ght out a paper and pen.
She handed it to me.
I smiled excitedly as I wrote on the paper.
“Look un-der the be-d, there is a ban-gle, it belongs to the hoodlum who c@m£ into the room to inject me” She re-ad aloud.
The doctor and nurse g@sped.
They quic-kly bent over and the doctor picked up the ban-gle.
“Who owns this?” They asked themselves.
Pavitra’s eyes wi-de-ned in shock as she saw the ban-gle.
“Uhnm…. Krishna did you say that the owner is actually the one who tried to inject you?” Pavitra asked anxiously.
I nodded my head in agreement.
She quic-kly covered her mouth with her palms in so much shock.
“This ban-gle belongs to my husband!! It’s Vishnu’s” She said as everyone g@sped.
We were still talking when Aakash, Father in law and mother-in-law c@m£ in excitedly.
“I have good news for us” Father in law said
I was still shocked at what Pavitra said.
“Simitra is out of coma” Father-in-law said as a wheelchair was pushed into the room.
It was Simitra…. Ma’am Simitra.
She was wheeled close to my be-d.
She t©uçhed me and smiled.
Pavitra was still unsettled and shocked as well.
“Does this mean that Vishnu is the one who wants to inject you so that you can die?” Pavitra asked as everyone’s eyes popped out.
“WHAT?” They chorused
Pavitra narrated everything to them and they all shouted in surprise.
Just then, Vishnu walked into the ward…..
All eyes were on him.
Aakash quic-kly rushed to him and b!owed his mouth as blood gushed out of his mouth.
He was still surprised.
Pavitra picked up the ban-gle and showed him, his jaw dropped.
Words refused to come out of his mouth.
“Tell me! What is this doing here?” Pavitra asked as he stammered.
“So you wanted my Krishn dead along?” Aakash asked.
He bec@m£ very ashamed of himself.
He turned to walk out but the door throw open and the police walked in.
Aakash phone them.
A handcuff was placed on his hand as the led him away.
He continued pleading but no-one pitied him.
“I have a confession to make” Simitra said breaking the silence.
Everyone turned to her.
Tears rushed down her face….
“Actually I….” She said but her statement was cut short when the door was opened.
To our greatest surprise, Saloni walked in with a lady carrying a baby.
I sprang up from the be-d and rushed to the child.
“It’s baby Kush!” Saloni said as I gave out a hearty smile.
I quic-kly carried him and he smiled at me.
“Kush…. ” That was my first word after many days.
Tears of joy rolled down my face.
I carried him close to my b0ss0m.
Everyone jumped for joy.
Father in law who is the most excited quic-kly wrote a cheque of 4 million rupees and handed to Saloni and the lady with her.
They refuse to say where the found baby Kush.
There was a lot of jubilation.
I bet Rani is the happiest girl today.
Aakash was very excited.
Lakshmi’s Pov:
I stormed into the hospital ward.
They were jubliating….. just as I thought.
I knew this is where they will be and I know Saloni and Rohi must be working together.
Immediately they saw me, they started trembling in fear
Simitra screamed in shock as she saw me.
I gave out a loud laughter to everyone’s surprise.
“You think you will be happy right?” I shouted as I quic-kly brou-ght out a pistol (gun).
I sh0t into the air and they trembled in fear.
I pointed my gun directly on Krishna and her son.
“plea-se put that away Mamaa!” Saloni shouted in fear.
“Shut up you betrayed me” I yelled.
I started confessing everything and my intentions.
I continued laughing hysterically.
Immediately, Aakash quic-kly jumped on me and tried taking the gun from me.
We started dragging the gun.
I quic-kly pu-ll-ed the trigger…
Unfortunately, the bullet caught my Saloni.
she fell in the pool of her blood….
I bec@m£ gobsma-cked and tears kept running down my cheeks.
“No…. My daughter!” I cried as I picked up the gun and sh0t it straight into my head and fell on the ground.
Blood gushed out of my head.
Krishna’s Pov:
We group hvgged each other happily.
Rani smiled heartily as she looked at baby Kush kicking his tiny legs.
Simitra pleaded for forgiveness and she was forgiven.
She was later flown abroad for proper treatment.
Vishnu was jailed for twenty years for attem-pted murder.
I also got a news that aunt Gangi died of cancer.
Too bad for her… she couldn’t use the money she sold me for to treat herself.
Life moves on!
We lived happily ever after….
