” I’m so sorry David , she’s not normally like this , I don’t know what happened today ” I said and looking at Mia who looked away angrily .
” It’s okay Emma , besides I just want to remind you that you didn’t call the last time thought we we’re friends ? I still have to teach you how to do the mas-sage ” he said jokingly and I laughed happily .
” Of cause I remember David . And I’m gonna give you a call when I get my baby to her dad ” I said and he frowned but quickly for-ced a smile.
” O that’s fine , and I’ll be expecting your call. ” He said and I gave a nod as he walked away .
” Baby it’s bad to talk to elders that way ” I said and she looked away guiltily.
” But I don’t like that uncle ” she said and I folded my hands .
” Why ? Has he been mean to you ? I asked and she wide-ned her eyes.
” That’s how aunty constancia acts , she likes to be good when daddy is there , buh with no daddy , she says mean things to me ” she said smiling sadly .
” What ” I said shocked with just one thought running in my mind , Mia is trying to tell me David is pretending , but he’s been nothing but nice to me .
Maybe they are all over thinking things , I mean David is a nice person .
We arrived at Golden corp and Mia ran in happily . I steal remember the first day I came here , it was the first time I met Mia and bumped into Alexander for the second time .
I chuckled as I remembered how we argued .
How I called my boyfriend and arrogant son of a biscuit .
But my boyfriend was really rude back then , always with a frown on his face .
” Nina ” Mia said and hu-gged Alexander’s secretary happily . ” Hey I missed you princess how’ve you been , you refused to visit ever since you got a new bestfriend” Nina said pointing at me teasingly and Mia blus-hed in embarras-sment .
” I’m so sorry, but I love you and Mom Emma too ” she said cutely and Nina raised an eyebrow at me chuckling and I blus-hed .
” C’mon baby let’s go meet daddy “I said but she fling into her so I decided to go alone .
I walked into Alexander’s office and he was sitted on his chair whilst working on his laptop . I smiled at how se-xy he looked . He raised his eyes and when his chocolate eyes met mine a smile appeared on his li-ps .
His suit was hung on his chair , and he was just in his white dress shirt with few of his bu-ttons opened and sleeves rolled up , my boyfriend looked damn se-xy .
” You know it’s a crime to be this good looking right ? I asked smiling and he chuckled .
” It’s so good to have you visit ” he said as he ki-ssed my li-ps. Where’s Mia ? He asked and I raised my hands in surrender . ” She left me for Nina ” I said and he laughed ha-rd .
” So sorry she decided to be the 21st century Judas Iscariot ” he said and I burst out laughing.
” Wow you know Judas , so you even read the Bible ? I asked shocked and he rolled his eyes .
” I might not go to church , but I know the Bible okay ” he said and I smi-rked .
” No problem , I’ll definitely ask you later ” I said and when he didn’t say anything , I looked up and noticed he was staring at my face .
” Wait , is there something on my face ? I asked and he walked closer and pulled me by the wai-st .
” Alex…ander ” I said and he ran his fingers on my hair .
” Your so beautiful Emerson , just so beautiful ” he said and I blus-hed .

” Thats all for today see you guys later ” the teacher said and left the clas-s . Immediately she left Mirabel jumped on my sit .
” Hey girl what’s between you and Wesley ? I mean he’s been staring at you lately ” she said and I rolled my eyes .
” Continue dreaming Mirabel , he’s probably just staring at you and not me ” I said and she chuckled .
” Oh c’mon I mean look at him ..” she said and I turned to see Wesley sitting with a group of guys from the football team . He was holding a basketball and sm-irking at me . He winked and I immediately looked away in shock .
” See ,I told you he’s been staring at you since this morning ” she said and my heart was beating very fast .
” Mirabel maybe we are imagining things ” I said and she rolled her eyes .
” Hey girls ” he said and walked over to us .
” Hi …” I said and looked everywhere else but him.
” Hi Wesley ” Mirabel said gushing happily .
” Mirabel can I have a word with Nora for a minute ” he asked and I gave a signals to not stand up .
” Sure Wesley ” she said and left .

” So how’ve you been ” he asked as he sat close to me . Why is he doing this to me ? Just when I’m trying to get over him he waltz back into my life ? ?
” I’m fine ” I said and looked away . ” Huh I was wondering if we could go to the prom together ? He asked and I looked at him with wide eyes .
” WHAT” I asked shocked .
” Nora Jackson , I asked if you could be my date to prom night ” he said and my jaw dropped .

I walked into my parents mansion pulling my bag with me . I just came back from my trip to France which was so stressful because we where working throu-ghout .
” Hey love your long lost daughter has finally graced us with her presence ” mom said with a sm-irk on her face and I decided to ignore her .
” Mom I’m not in the mood ” I said and dad chuckled . He knows anytime I’m home , I always end up being at the suffering end of moms craziness .
“Your never in the mood for anything , your getting older and lonely ” she said and a frown appeared on my face .
” I’m not lonely , besides I don’t nee-d a man , whoever said one nee-ds a man to be happy mom ? I asked and she walked over to me .
” Leah everyone nee-ds love in their lives no matter how tough they think they are ” she said and I just walked upstairs ignoring her .
I refused to be fooled again .

” It was so much fun daddy , then we went to clas-s and after school , nanny Emma came to pick me up , and then uncle David came over to us …..” Mia was saying and immediately turned my attention to Emma immediately David’s name entered the conversation .
” David ” I asked and she looked at Mia who obviously had no idea what she’d done .
Didn’t I warn her about that David guy ?
” Alex…” She was saying but I left Mia’s room immediately . I refuse to talk to her in front of Mia .
I won’t argue with Emma in front of my daughter no matter what .
I just wonder why she wouldn’t listen to me , I don’t feel good about David , I feel like he’s up to something each time I see him .
” Alex ” Emma said and walked into my room but I looked away .
” Alex , I didn’t call him okay , we just accidentally met at Mia’s school , he was there to pick up his nephew ” she said and I shook my head at her innocence .
” There to pick up his nephew ? Can you even hear yourself Emerson ” I snapped and she looked at me with a frown .
” Alexaander I don’t un-derstand you , are you jealous of David ? Because I don’t un-derstand why you want me to stay away from him ” she said and I lost it .
” Wow you think it’s because I’m jealous , you think I’m just doing all this because I’m jealous ” I asked annoyed.
” What do you expect me to think ? You just hate David for no reason , then we argue Everytime his name his mentioned ” she said.
” Well because that’s what he’s here for , are you so naive that you can’t see it ” I snapped and she flinched .
” Your reading too much into David being my friend Alexander , it’s getting annoying ” she said and I nod my head .
” Very good then , I refuse to argue with you over David , get out of my room ” I said and her jaw dropped .
” Alexander you dare not throw me out ” she said and I bit my lower li-p angrily .
” Gracefully get out , or I make you” I said .
I could feel my anger rise by the minute .
” Alex we are suppose to talk things out , not fight like this ” she said and I just ignored her while picking my car keys .
” Love don’t go out , it’s late let’s talk this ” she said and held my hands but I pulled it off.
” Xander “she said I turned and she looked so hurt with tears on her eyes . But that’s me for you when I get angry it’s ha-rd to let go .
” Seems you trust David more than me right now , I don’t want to stay here and hurt you with my words ” I said and walked out angrily .
She just gave him the right to cause a rift between us .
