EPISODE 46
Mr. Katana of Japan, Mr. Schreninger of London, Mr. Salemander of Russia, Mr. Mikasa of the North and the Legendary old man, Master Omni. These five people were the most controversial and most powerful in their own worlds. Having one of them in the company is a great opportunity! How come they’re here? Were they possibly here because of this woman? Some people inside looked at the woman in front of them.
Aisha was surprise to see them as well. She never expected to see them. She almost teared up. Her hands can’t hide the emotion she was feeling at right now. Her palms were sweating ha-rd. She’s obviously wobbly. She met Demetrius comforting gaze as if saying that everything’s gonna be alright. She was having a ha-rd time to hold her tears.
Ethan saw her uneasiness so he walked towards her and held her wai-st to support her. He smiled at her.
“Relax for now.” he whispered in her ears. Aisha was grateful that Ethan came to her cause she can’t even hold herself up with all the mixed emotion that she is feeling right now. she embr@ced him and sobs silently on Ethan’s shoulder. He caressed her back.
“Everything’s gonna be alright.” He ki-ssed her forehead.
“Demetrius Mikasa, it’s a surprise to see you here. Are you sure you entered the right hall?” it was Silver who spoke while walking towards Rio.
“I’m confidently sure that I am at the right place. How about you?” Rio doesn’t have any plans to back out even in front of the woman he once loved, Cherry Ann. She’s with Silver.
“Well I am. As you can see.” Silver answered.
“Unfortunately, I am only seeing a stupid hungry dog lur-k-ing around to take someone else’s throne.” Demetrius sarcastically sneered.
Silver’s fist curled into a ball ready to land at someone’s face anytime but Ms. Gray stopped him.
“Not here!” Sherry reminded him. Demetrius and the others walked pas-sed him as if he was an ant whom these elephants can trample anytime. He felt like a joke in front of the media and in front of everyone. His anger flared up. He took his phone and dialed a number.
“Be prepared. Plan B.” He ordered..
“Fellow business men, partners and investors, allow us to cast our votes since we are also a part of this great company.” The people heard Rio spoke loudly for everyone to hear. The five of them? Investors at the Gentz empire? Since when? Chatters were heard everywhere.
Once again, the people were divided.
“These past weeks, the woman whom you are accusing br@vely came to us as she presented the Saphiro Gentz Empire. Unknown to all of you, she had predicted that this very moment will come to pas-s sooner or later, and that hungry wolves were lur-k-ing around the company waiting for the right time to devour not just the Williams but all of your investments as well. She stepped in without anyone noticing the ha-rd work that she did just to save you all from falling into the pit.” Demetrius tried to explained.
Everyone now was looking at Aisha who was standing beside Ethan.
“Is that true?” Ethan whispered with a raised brow. Aisha weakly nodded.
“That I’m sorry.” She muttered softly.
“I chose to invest in this company because I saw the potential of these couple in front of us. With them helping hand in hand, they will surely conquer the world.” It was Mr. Katana of Japan who spoke for them.
“But aren’t you aware of the woman’s background?” one reporter br@vely asked. The people heard the five old men let out a crunchy chuckle.
“About the dispute whether she is a mafia heiress or not?” It was Mr. Salemander, “Whether she is or not, do you think that really matters?” he threw the people’s ignorance back. “There is something you have to un-derstand, a great business man doesn’t care about one’s personal life rather a business man should care about the ability of the person who he/she wants to entrust his/her wealth, as well as the future itself. Her, being a gangster or not isn’t as important as you think it is.” He continued.
“Don’t you think you’re just making things complicated?!” Master Omni was aggravated since he saw the news on the TV. “Those of you who rebelled against my grandson is welcome to take out your investments and leave the company as soon as possible! Do you think the company wouldn’t survive without you?!” he yelled without stopping. He doesn’t really care whether he is being labeled as proud or what but he doesn’t want to give a damn shit about this nonsense chaos.
“We will stand for Ethan and with the Gentz Empire regardless of what the woman’s identity.” They heard Mr. Schreninger of London.
The investors who foolishly voted against the Ethan have been won by the five old men. They are too powerful enough to be their enemies. The people nee-ds to be wise, if these powerful business men trusted the Williams that much, why should they even back out? they realized their foolishness. These media folks really have their ways on how to manipulate people’s mind. Now they are regretting the choice they made earlier. they should have realized that they are in the business world not on the entertainment world.
Damn! That was a foolish move to begin with. Curse these media folks! Curse that Silver Gray! Now they have to win Ethan’s favor again.
“I — we don’t know how to thank you.” Aisha uttered in embarras-sment. “I’m sorry for causing you much trouble, Mr. Katana, Mr. Schreninger, Mr. Salemander, Master Omni, Mr. Mikasa.” Aisha kowtowed apologetically. She’s not raising her head so Master Omni tou-ched her shoulders to lift her spirit up.
“Is that the right response?” he asked. She was surprised to hear Master Omni’s kind words. She actually prepared herself to hear Master Omni’s rebuke. She raised her head in confusion.
“Don’t be sorry. This is the least we can do for you.” It was Mr. Salemander who spoke.
“Sorry for being late. we really planned to have that amazing grand entrance!” Mr. Schreninger joked but it was a hearty joke since she also chuckled.
“Thank you.” She finally uttered.
“Thank you.” Ethan finally broke his silence.
“You are very lucky to have such a beautiful, wise and selfless wife, Ethan.” Mr. Katana congratulated him.
“Yes, I am.” He warmly embr@ced the woman beside her. Aisha catch Demetrius’ fierce gaze since their eyes reflexively connected. Aisha released a fake smile.
“Ethan I nee-d to talk to you after this event.” Aisha whispered.
“I’m always ready to listen.” He smiled then he embr@ced her ti-ghtly.
Some investors came to Ethan to give them their warmth greetings. These were the people who remained loyal to them. When Aisha saw that a lot of people were nearing them, she excused herself. She decided to speak to Rio who was now with uncle Archie. She tried to act normal since there are some other people trying to get to these five well-known men.
“Mr. Mikasa, Mr. Ridgewood, can I have a minute?” she tried to approached them professionally. Media’s are still scattered all around. Tonight’s events will definitely rock the world first thing tomorrow.
They distance themselves from the people.
“I thought you weren’t coming.” Aisha scowled.
“You were all around the news.” He indifferently answer while his eyes roamed around the hall as if looking for someone. Aisha and Archie noticed his behavior.
“Are you looking for Sherry Gray?” Aisha continued.
“No, I’m looking for Silver.” He denied.
“Who is he?” Aisha was curious.
“A murderer!” Rio busted.
“Dad…. ”
“Just be careful with him.” Rio warned her. after a minute, his gazed was fixed to a certain person. Sherry Gray! Aisha frowned.
“You’re still not over her?” her voice gave a hint of annoyance.
“It’s not what you think! Stop acting as if you knew everything. You knew nothing!” Rio yelled.
“Rio!” Archie tried to warn him. Rio was definitely mad but Archie held his arm. Aisha was stunned for a moment but she was able to wake herself from the sudden daze.
Rio’s forehead puckered. He shrugged Archie’s hands then walked out. “Such a bothersome!” he mumbled while he walked away.
“I’ll just follow him, don’t think about what he said. You know he doesn’t mean that, right?” Archie tried to comfort her. He tapped her shoulder before following Rio outside.
A tear escaped at Aisha’s eyes but she wiped it immediately. She can’t be seen like that. But her heart was aching so much. It was very painful that she just wished to insert an anesthetic so she won’t feel anything. she was not expecting that from Rio. It was her first time to hear those words from him. Ah! So painful!
“Was I burden all along?” she was in de-ep thought. She tried to find Sherry among the crowd, there! The woman was sitting beside that old man, Silver. What was so special with that woman? she sneered. The woman seems to feel her intense gaze since she met her eyes. she gave out a scornful gaze, the woman never left her eyes either. They were just staring at each other for some seconds when Aisha heard Ethan’s voice.
She broke their eye contact battle.
“Ethan!” she tried to fake a smile. Then suddenly she noticed Ethan’s sudden change of emotion. His face suddenly roofed with anxiety as he run towards her as quickly as possible. The last thing she knew was that Ethan enveloped her in his arms.
BANGGGGGG!!!!!!! There was a loud crash.
He heard a whistle,
Pain in his lower back,
His feet trembled weakly,
Then Darkness!! Then a loud thud!
Ethan felt his body shook like a leaf.
Blood! blood! blood was in her hands. She heard a loud thud. Someone fell on the floor! wait, the last thing she remembered was that she was enveloped in Ethan’s arms!
“Ethan!” she saw him lying on the floor, blood gushed out from his lower back. Her feet shivered in fear as she fell on her knees helplessly. She panicked.
“Ethan!” she was caught off guard. She was trying to calm herself so she could think normally but to no avail. Her body was so weak to move. He was bath with blood.
She can hear some people shouting “Ambulance, call an Ambulance!” chaos erupted in the hall. People were flying towards them, back and forth. She can hear shouting but she can’t un-derstand any of them.
“Wake up! Wake up!” her mind was trying to awaken her body. After a while, she saw something like a laser beam. A sniper? She thought? Her eyes tried to look around to find where it come from. She saw Silver who looked up as he smi-rked. Sherry was looking up too. She tried to look up,
immediately, she seems to see a bullet flying towards her. Ethan! Her eyes grew? She tried to move her body near Ethan. She was planning to block the bullet! But she wont be able to make it so she raised her hand in hope that it would block it.
AHHHHHH!!!!!! She screamed in pain. Her hands were shoot but it’s far from her bone. Good thing that it only pene-trates the skin. The bullet came out from the skin. Phew! She didn’t care about the pain. Ethan!
She didn’t know how she was able to see the bullet earlier, maybe it was a miracle. God must have seen her miseries so he decided to intervene.
She looked for a clean cloth but she only saw the white table cloth. She took it and used it to block the blood from oozing out from Ethan’s body. The people surrounded them.
Rio and Archie noticed the commotion outside so they went back in. they found Master Omni and Aisha holding the unconscious Ethan. What happened? They just went out a bit then chaos erupted? Rio and Archie saw the men in black held their guns in search for the culprit. After some minutes, the ambulance came.
They were rushing Ethan inside the ambulance, Aisha followed. Blood was also oozing from her right hand but it was not severe like Ethan.
Aisha accompanied Ethan inside the ambulance while Master Omni followed using his private car.
She was holding Ethan’s hands while tears flowed from her eyes. The doctor inside kept on checking his pulse and was monitoring his heartbeat. Oxygen was already attached to him.
“Ethan, please hold on. I still nee-d to tell you a lot of things!” she was crying madly. The fifteen minutes’ drive to the hospital was shorten to ten minutes.
As soon as they arrived, they brou-ght Ethan to the operating room. almost all the doctors fled to as-sist the owner of the hospital.
Aisha suddenly felt helpless. She was pacing back and forth at the waiting area. After some more minutes, Master Omni arrived along with Rio and Archie. Everyone was in shock. They were waiting silently.
Aisha must have been felt tired. She sat on the floor curling her feet as she embr@ced her knees. She bowed her head as she sobs silently.
It was all her fault! She was blaming herself.
“Get a hold of yourself! be strong! And don’t ever think that it was your fault!” Master Omni bended as he patted her shoulders. She didn’t raised her head to see Master Omni. She only nodded.
Rio was watching Aisha in her most desolate situation. She never saw her cried before even when she was physically hurt. The lively Aisha that she knew were nowhere to be found right now. how he wanted to comfort her but he was also blaming himself for yelling at her earlier.
He cursed silently. Damn that broken heart! Maybe, just maybe if he didn’t leave her, this wouldn’t have happened.
“You were shot as well?” Master Omni screamed in anxiety. That very moment, Larry, Caleb and Lisa came together.
“Call a doctor, quick!” Rio was pinned to where he was standing. Did he hear old Omni? Was Aisha shot too? He curse silently.
“It was just a graze.” She weakly response.
“Stacy!” Caleb and Lisa came to her. Caleb pulled her hand and inspected it. he scoffed.
“It’s not just a graze! Let’s go and treat you first!” Caleb was worried sick.
“I’m fine.” Her voice was faint. Caleb was annoyed so he cu-p-ped her in his arms and carried her in the emergency room. Lisa, Rio and Archie followed while Master Omni and Larry stayed while waiting for the result of the operation.
Master Omni is now worried. Why are they taking so long?! he should be out by now! Now he’s nervous.
