Vince eyes wide-ned in shock as her li-ps landed on his.
Xiomara pulled him more closer su-cking his lower li-p more. Vince got over the shock and pushed her lightly away from his body.

Why would Xiomara kis-sed her, of all people. Her bestfriend.

Vince sigh softly and ran his hand throu-ghhis hair not able to comprehend what just happened.

“I’ll take my leave Vince said and walked out without waiting for her reply.
” Gosh! What did i just do? Xiomara asked herself crazily and sat on the bed.

” What do you think you’re saying grandma? Marriage? Vince half yelled and stood up angrily.
She told him about Mr Creed proposal already.
“She loves you Grandma said and he shook his head frustratingly.

” Are you alright? Vince asked as he rushed to her on the bed.

She’s obviously in pain.
“Should i get the doctor? He asked getting scared already.
Just as she was about speaking, a line of blood gush down from her nostril and she cough.
” Grandma”vince called, his heart beating more fas-ter than usual.

“He promise to p.. ay my h.. ospital bills too she stuttered gasping for air.
” I’ll go get the doctor He said and rushed out of the ward…
**RICKY BAR>>NIGHT**
“Her condition worsen, i’m afraid if we dont operate her on time, we might lose her” The doctor words rang in his head as he gulp down the whole alcohol in his hand.
“One more bottle He yelled and Reece snatched the cu-p from him.
” You think getting drunk will solve this huh? Reece asked and dropped the cu-p on the table.
“What do i do? I dont want to lose her” He sobbed and Reece sigh not knowing what to say.

” She asked me to get married to her”Vince replied and Reece laugh.

” Am serious, that was what she asked. It’s crazy, isnt it? Vince asked and pour drink into his cu-p.
“Yeah but i think you’ll have to do it Reece said and he scoff.

Rosie sat on the bed holding her phone deliberating whether to call June or not. She missed her so much.
Since they had that little arguement, they’ve not been talking. She missed her greatly.
“Here we go Rosie she muttered and dialled her number.
She picked at the first ring but didnt say anything.
” Hey, were you expecting me to call Rosie asked immediately she picked.
“What do you mean? June voice boom from the other end.
” Never mind, just that you picked too early.
“Should i hang up then? She asked.
” No no she quickly replied.
“Why do you call? June asked and Rosie sigh.
” June, let reconcile i miss you”Rosie pouted as if she could see her.
“Really? June asked.
” Yeah, i miss you
“Me too June replied and she smile.
” Really? Why didnt you call me witch? Rosie snapped and she laugh.
“I miss you so much, i wanna see your face June said.
” Should we switch to video call? Rosie asked.
“Yess June replied.
” Okay Rosie hung up and jump up.
Finally, i miss you so much bestie she said and jump then switched to video call….

“Will you guys just stop this quiteness? What’s wrong? Why arent you talking to each other Reece said to Vince and Xiomara as they walked towards the cla-ss.
They’ve not been saying anything to each other after what happened between them, Xiomara has been avoiding eye with Vince and Vince is not ready to talk about it either.
“Nothing to talk about, i guess Vince shrugged as they entered the cla-ss.

The girls kept on blabbing till they took their seat.

Jamal stood up and wink at her then walked out of the cla-ss….

**STERLING HIGH**
Mr Thai walked into the cla-ss and everywhere became quiet. He is one of the most strict teacher in the school, everyone fear and respected him. He teach chemistry.
“Good morning cla-ss He greeted and dropped the textbooks on the table.
” Good morning sir”They chorused and mr Thai adjusted his gla-ss.
“So we’re going to be having a practical on our last topic which i believe you all un-derstand right? He asked looking at every corner of the cla-ss.
” Yes sir”
“So i’ll pairing you guys together, three students per group” He said and brou-ght a paper out of the middle of one of the textbooks.
“You will be having the practical tomorrow, i’ll give you today to prepare so listen attentively to your names” He said and began calling names.
After some minute, he dropped the paper on the desk when he was done.
“I believe you all know your partners now let move to today’s topic he said and face the board.
” Cant believe i’m not paired with Vince”Xiomara thought angrily.
She was paired with Jamal and one other girl zarah..
Reece was paired with Olivia and mateo and Vince was paired with Mirabel and Jeremy.
“Thanks goodness Reece smile inwardly. Atleast he will the chance to get close to Olivia.
Vince wasn’t even bothered with the pairing, he was lost in his own thought

LUNCH**
” The cla-ss was boring”Xiomara yawned as she walked towards the cafeteria with Vince and Reece.
“Lazy long ne-ck” Reece sm-irk and she glare at him.
“Stop calling me that Xiomara snapped.
” But it suite you, your ne-ck is the longest ne-ck have ever seen a……
He was not able to finish his statement before she kicked him between his leg.

“Ouch! He gro-an out loudly and Xiomara sm-irk.
” Damn you mara”Reece cursed silently and Xiomara laughed.
Vince didnt even look at them, he was thinking about the condition Rosie gave him, he doesnt even like her.

They entered the cafeteria and took their seats, then ordered for their food.
“Vince” Reece called when he noticed wasnt eating, just playing with the spoon.
“Vince” He called but he didnt answer.
“Hey” He nudge him and he jolted out of thoughts. Xiomara just stare at him.
“What? He asked akwardly.
” You look lost”Reece said and he shrugged.
“I’m fine he said silently.
” Are you sure? He asked and he nodded lightly and started eating.
“I wanna use the restroom, i’m coming Reece said and stood up.
” Okay Vince replied and he left.
“Hey” Xiomara said to Vince and he face her. She bow her head immediately avoiding his eyes.
“I’m sorry about that day” She said and Vince just sigh.
“Why did you do it? He asked and she bite her li-ps.

“It fine Vince cut her off.
” You’ve forgiven me She beam and he nodded.
“So no more akwardness right? She asked and he nodded with a smile……
****MALE RESTROOM****
Reece walked into the restroom and was about unbolting his belt when he heard a scream..
” Someone, help
Reece stopped abruptly to know where the voice was coming from, it from the other restroom and the voice…..
Wait a minute. ..
That was Olivia’s voice
He bolted his belt back and rushed out of the restroom.
He ran to the other restroom and tried to open but the door was locked from inside.
“What’s going on here? He yelled and the scream only increase.
What do i do? He thought and an idea popped up. He moved back about 10 inch apart from the door and rushed back speedily to it with a big kick and the door went down straight.
He breathed heavily and rushed in. His guess was right afterall, it’s Olivia. Her uniform almost to-re apart, different bruises on her face. She was sitting on the floor crying.
“Olive, are you alright?He asked and squat beside her, she was bleeding profusely from her nose.
She suddenly hug-ged Reece and held onto his shirt sobbing.
” They want to ra-pe me She stuttered still hugging him, Reece rubbed her hair in return to calm her down.
“Where are they?
” They escaped she replied and that was when Reece notice the window, they escaped throu-ghthe window.
“It alright, let go to the school clinic first to get you treated He said and carried her in a bridal style and walked out of the restroom heading to the clinic.
***CLOSING HOUR***
Vince walked out of the school with Xiomara and Reece towards the gate.
” Reece”someone called from behind and they turned.
Olivia.
Reece rushed to her and she smile.
“They’re getting along Xiomara said and Vince smile.
” You alright now? Reece asked and she nodded with a smile.
“Thank you she said and Reece just smile.
” Can i have your contact? We can talk later about our practical Olivia said and Reece called out his number for me, she also did the same.
“Till tomorrow Olivia smile.
” Bye he replied and she left.
This is a dream come true, finally after many months of crushing.
“Loverboy Vince teased when he got to them and he blus-h.
” Seriously?? Xiomara scoff.
“How can a guy be blus-hing, gosh this’s disgusting. Am outta here she said and walked out.
” Hey long ne-ck Reece said and ran after her while Vince followed behind.

Vince got to the hospital and walked into grandma ward. She’s still uncouncious looking pale than before.
“I guess i have to do this Vince said to himself and dialled Rosie’s number.
She picked at the third ring.
” Hey Vince she beam
“Hi Vince said silently.
” About your condition i…..
“Did you change your mind Rosie cut him off immediately.
So annoying.
” Yea he replied.
“You’ve agree? She asked curiously
” Yea he replied simply and Rosie scream out loud.
