~~☆ CHAPTER 23 & 24~~
Still inside the cab, May stared out the window as she su-ck in thin air and allowed the cool air breeze swoosh on her pale face.
She began to think of so many things and she also thought of Liam.
She began to worry too much about him, wondering if he was doing alright alone. She wondered the sort of feeling he might have gotten after she left.
Perhaps, he was fine without her and she was here worrying too much about him.
Somehow, she felt very sad and gloomy and she started to miss him badly that she wanted to sob.
She sighed and decided to ignore the thought of him for a while and focus on the present situation she got into.
She felt a cold pale hands holding her wrist and she turned around and realised it was Sunny.
” I hope you are alright?” Sunny asked.
May smiled and nodded. This was the twentieth time, if not, that she’s been repeatedly asking of her health.
Sunny was such a falling angel and if it wasn’t for her, she wouldn’t have find a solace place.
Or supposedly, She would have become a wanderer and perhaps longue into hotels just to spend the night.
” Am very fine.” May told her and Sunny fainted a smile at her.
The young girl rested her head on her shoulder and May cuddled her against the cold. And then they remained that way.
Twenty minutes later…
After driving into a popular estate, The cab made a stop at a tall mansion that almost looked like a skyscra-per.
It was surrounded with large tall gate and red petals planted on the body of the cascade.
Black cars, Small and mighty were scattered everywhere around the compound and someone would think it was a car sale arena.
May took in a full breath as she peeked her head at the mansion. This was more mightier than Liam’s.
Infact, this wasn’t to be compared to Liam’s mansion cus he’s would stand as a toddler next to this great building.
” We are here, May.” Sunny tapped May and She jumped down to earth instantly.
” Oh. Sorry, I didn’t notice. ” May said and picked up her bag. bu-tterfiles filled May stomach as she stepped out.
She was going to experience a lot by staying here at this house.
Sunny pa-ssed throu-ghthe securities and they were allowed into the mansion sooner.
The moment, before they could get to the front door, Two chaffeur came running from nowhere and they supported May with her bags.
” Oh. These men are so nice.” May laughed while she told Sunny.
” It’s their job.” Sunny replied.
May remembered the day Liam kicked out all his workers at his mansion and that was the same night he returned from the hospital with a bandaged head.
Those periods, Liam was considered a wholesome devil because he didn’t think before acting.
He did things out of pure anger and he made May’s life miserable, and poor May was able to endure all the pain.
She knew then, that he was still adapting to everything around him and still trying to regain some lost memory.
She realised Liam was much better than those awful times.
Since then, he didn’t receive in any maids or chaffeur or drivers despite his level of wealth.
May got distracted by her thought the moment she stepped into the mansion.
The inside of the house was stunning and breathtaking and May couldn’t do anything but gawp with amusement.
Everything she crossed her gaze with definitely made her speechless. It was all, Luxuriously simple.
” Welcome to Emperor’s home, May.” Sunny told May, and immediately, she felt goosebumps.
She didn’t want to imagine herself living un-der Emperor’s home, staying very close to him.
She wanted to hide, She wanted to run far far away from here yet, she never wanted to miss staying un-der this beautiful roof.
” Just wait out here. I’ll go inform Emperor that you are here.” Sunny said and May took her seat on one of the white sofa’s.
May sat down and She found a bird sculpture on the gla-ss centre table.
She took it up and was staring at the amusing little thing with her pure white eyes. Poor bird, it wanted to fly but somehow it was made to be that way.
She dropped back the bird and it turned, falling over. May swift movement was able to save the life of the object.
” Phew!” She gasped. She was being clumsy on her first day in Emperor’s home.
She didn’t want to imagine what could have happened if the bird sculpture had fell.
Everything in the house was expensive enough to buy her body, even the atmosphere was expensive.
Soon, She heard footsteps coming down the elegant stairs. May quickly arranged her hair strands and her short nightdress.
She wasn’t wearing a suiting cloth and her body was not protective at all. That increa-sed her nervousness.
Emperor stepped down the stairs in a relaxed manner and Sunny with Ray followed behind him.
The other two stood far away from them and Emperor walked up to May.
May quickly stood on her feet, blinking her eyes with innocence.
His eye wide-ned the moment their eyes met but after seeing her with her bags, he started to grin inwardly.
” May.” He called her name religiously and May quickly formed a fake smiley face.
” Emperor.” she said, not knowing what to reply to his greeting. He stopped in front of her and stared at her belongings.
” You left?” He asked and May nervously fell her heads.
What else could she tell him. Seeing her here with her belongings, he shouldn’t be asking her such questions.
He felt sad for her because it wasn’t easy for a wife to leave her husband; her second half. He was glad she did because he had been waiting for her to take that step.
But in some way, he felt happy that this was going along with his plan.
It was time to impeach his plans on Liam and make him suffer for hurting May and also take back his revenge on him.
” I un-derstand” He sighed and grabbed her body while cuddling her warmly for a long while.
May sank her face on his robe as she sobbed hardly, releasing the tears she’d been trying to hide for very long.
Could she say this was tears of joy for finally getting freedom of her own, or did she feel guilt and sad for leaving her Liam.
Her emotions were void and all she could do was nothing but cry on his che-st while hugging him ti-ght.
He ru-bbed her brown hair gently and cu-p-ped her cheeks, staring into her we-t eyes.
” It’s okay, May. I don’t like to see you cry like this. It’s over now, you are here with me, safe and sound. Please stop crying.” He begged and May ru-bbed her cheeks.
She heaved a sigh and fell her heavy shoulders. The tears was still there but she knew she had to stop it soon to avoid overreacting infront of everyone.
She cleaned out her tears and for-ced a smile and her face became very adorable
Emperor returned the smile and cu-p-ped her cheeks along with some of her hair strands. He loved this girl truly, he wanted the best for her.
He wanted to soil up those places her husband had dug and left broken.
He wanted to be the man to tell her that there was no other woman like her in the world.
She was beautiful, kind and lovable. She deserved more.
He hug-ged her ti-ghtly in his che-st as he spoke those heartwarming words in his heart. Now she was with him, she was for him, forever.
He looked up at Ray and grinned and Ray was able to grasp his gestures and he smi-rked as well.

MAY’S BEDROOM.
May had been given her own bedroom.
The room was extra-large and it contained everything extravagant that would keep her comfortable.
She fell flat on the bed and her hair scattered like flowers on the gray duvet.
She stared at her roof feeling very bored. It was ten in the night, perhaps everyone had fallen asleep.
She was still missing Liam and she was cautioning her head to stop thinking about him.
She missed his voice, His eyes, his smile, his body and every other good thing she cherished in him.
That kis-s he gave her had been affecting her body badly and making her feel the need to meet him and kis-s him again.
She remembered vividly how he tou-ched her very differently, even travelling to her most private areas on her che-st.
She bit her li-ps ha-rd by the imagination and grabbed hold of the pillow.
She kept rolling on the bed, trying to figure out how to sleep but was soon distracted by the sound of the door.
The door pushed open and Emperor walked in wearing a nice piece of white t-shirt and a colorful night pa-nt.
Unlike the suit he was used to wearing all the time, He wasn’t looking like the powerful and influencing man in those nightwear.
” Hey May Sweet..” He turned on the light and May sat up excitedly like a girl who had been waiting for her lost pet
At least now, he was something to get Liam off her mind and make her less bored.
” You aren’t asleep yet?” He asked as he climbed up her bed and he sat next to her.
” Well, if I did, you’d have come in to wake me up, right?. right?” She asked and Emperor chuckled lightly.
” Ordinarily, I came to check if you were asleep and I’m glad you are not.” He said
” I’m glad you are not asleep too. Let’s stay here together.” She said with a big smiley face.
She crawled towards him and laid her head on his leg, staring at his handsome oval face.
He was very good-looking, to the extreme. But she couldn’t identify who was more handsome between Liam and himself.
At least, Liam did workouts which made a big difference in their body shape.
” What do you do every night before you fall asleep?” He asked and May tou-ched her chin.
She didn’t know why but she was loving Emperor’s company alot and was free to express her thoughts and idea without flinching with fear in the next seconds.
” Um…” She thought and an idea came up above her head like a lighted bulb.
” Oh. I read novels and watch the sky sometimes if I’m bored.” She said and Emperor looked towards the Large French windows in the room.
” Come with me.” He said and pulled her hands, taking her to the window.
May looked up and watched him open the large curtains and the beauty of her room showcased.
This kinds of windows were designed to look anciently like those in Queens courtyard.
it was large and tall, and people could walk pa-ss throu-ghit with the gla-ss door.
He opened the French window and they walked out to the another large space out in the balcony.
May couldn’t count the amount of structurally designed furnishes had seen so far in Emperor’s home.
” Let’s watch the night from up here and I’ll tell you a story ” He said and May nodded.
They both laid on the cold terraced floor, facing the large full moon as he stared down at their faces as well.
” Do you do this with Liam sometimes?” He asked without gazing away from the beautiful moon.
” We use to. Until he had an accident and he forgot about all those good moments.” She said.
Emperor could feel pain in her voice as she spoke. He began to feel guilty, somewhat.
He didn’t want her to feel sad again and start thinking about Liam, so he diverted the topic.
” If I may ask, where do you come from?”
” Phili-ppines.”
” Oh…” He nodded and smiled. ” Do your family live here?”
” I haven’t seen my family since i was two years old. I was told I had a twin.” She said and Emperor looked at her.
” You are just like me.” He laughed.
” Well remember when I told you I was once adopted along with Liam. we are brothers but not actually brothers.”
” Oh yeah. I actually could remember.” She said and sighed.
Things began to get strange and awkward but she drifted her mind away from it.
” You haven’t told me my story.” May said and Emperor laughed.
He cleared his throat and began.
” Once upon a time, there was this beautiful angel…I don’t know if she’s from heaven…But she was fair and very beautiful.” He said and May smiled.
” Who’s she?. she doesn’t have a name?” She asked.
” Her name is Miranda.” He said and May pouted. she thought he was referring to her as the angel. Silly her, it was only a story.
” So miranda was a girl that could struck any guys gaze. She was so beautiful..I could faint If I see her…She was brave and a strong feminine. She was called Miranda by people around her but her real name was more angelic.” He said and May turned to look at him
He also stared at her.
” May was her name and she was the most beautiful woman I know.” He said while still staring at her.
May avoided a smile but she felt her cheeks get hot and red.
He stared at her cheeks and saw he had intentionally made her blus-h really hard.
” How was the story?” He asked and she finally formed a smile, turning to his side while playing with his shirt bu-ttons.
” It was the most nicest story among all the novels I’ve read so far. Thank you for this story, Emperor. ” She said and grabbed his cheeks.
” And yes, you are the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to me. You are God’s gift.” She said.
He stole a kis-s on her pretty small nose and she giggled happily, stealing a kis-s on his cheeks as well.
They talked for hours about other random stuff of the outside world and soon her vibes began to slow down.
He knew she was tired. His little pet was tired and looking weary.
His smile was enough to make her fall into the drowsy world.
She sna-ked in, and cuddled close to his che-st to scent his fine fragrance.
He watched her close her eyes and soon she began to whimper slow cute sounds while sleeping.
” I love you so much, May. I love you more than the stars in heaven” He said and kis-sed her forehead.
He picked her up gently, to avoid waking up the little sleeping beauty. He walked towards her bedside and made her lay on the bed.
He stared at her and confirmed that she was really created by nature it self.
He kis-sed her head again before walking out of her room, turning off the light.
As soon as he was gone, May smiled in her sleep and dragged up the duvet to sleep comfortably well.
For the first time in over one year, She slept like a baby who was being pampered.

Two mighty cars drove into Emperor’s company like prideful Lions at the late mornings.
Liam and Mitchell came out from one of the cars and two other of Liam’s private agent were out on the other cars.
Liam ruffled her hair and smi-rked. He hadn’t come here in centuries and he was envying the changes.
He gestured to Mitchell and they began to leave the parking lots.
EMPEROR’S OFFICE.
Emperor was told he had some important visitors.
He left his office and began to stride towards the VIP suite.
He wondered who this visitors were, perhaps brand managers who needed advertising.
Until he got there and was welcomed with the face of Liam and his next to kin, Mitchell.
They were both sitting on the comfortable couch like King and Queen.
” Oh. Look who we have here.” Emperor said walking in gently.
Liam gave him an ordinary stare before leaning up on his feet, pocketing his arms.
” I don’t need to talk too much, Emperor. You know the reason why I am here”
” I do not know the reason, Liam. Please brief it to me.” Emperor smi-rked and Liam sighed, curling his tongue to a side in his mouth.
” Emperor. .” His voice went loud and cold. ” You know you have been stepping on my feet for too long and I have been stylishly ignoring your disturbance.”
” Mn. I never realised.” Emperor laughed, dusting his arms sleeves.
” This is no joke Emperor.” Mitchell chipped in and stood up on her feet, stepping towards him.
she was dressed in a reputable suit and heels.
” I do not tolerate this kind of ill treatment you guys are doing to my boss. Stay your own way so that we can all live in peace. We came here to give warnings.” Mitchell told him.
” Oh now, so you are working for him and not us?.” Ray walked in as well and Mitchell fell her heads, sighing tiredly.
” Look Ray.”
” I do not want to look at anything. Why are such a big betrayal?.” He said and Mitchell fell very uncomfortable.
” Fine. I’m out of this. You guys should sort things out yourself” Mitchell said and stepped aside, fuming with anger.
” Emperor. This would be the last time I.. .” Liam was speaking when Emperor was busy whispering something into Ray’s ear.
Ray nodded and left the room.
” What were you saying again?” Emperor asked adjusting his shirt.
” Emperor this is not a joke. imma kill you.” Liam snapped
” I didn’t know why you didn’t die in that car crash.” Emperor spat.
” And it would be your turn to die and this time, Unfortunately, there wouldn’t be any saving grace for you.” He said and Emperor laughed.
” You are more close to death so don’t stress.” Emperor said and soon the door was opened.
Liam looked towards the direction and he saw Ray walk in accompanied by his own wife!
At that point, he was totally confused and speechless. He could only stare at her Dumbly.
His mind refused to function properly.
” May. You are here.” Emperor said and hug-ged her and May turned to look at the guest who had come on a visit.
it dawned on her like a movie.
Her eyes swelled the moment she saw it was Liam and Mitchell raised a brow looking confused at the whole scene.
” What’s going on here?” Mitchell took up the silence.
” Of course. You can see with your eyes what’s actually happening.” Emperor said rolling his hands around May’s wai-st and pushing her closer.
” May sweet, Do we need to explain to them that you work for me now and also live un-der my roof?” He asked and May fell her face nervously, shaking her head.
Liam couldn’t take his gaze away from May. He couldn’t just believe this was happening in his face.
He almost forgot to breath.
With a heavy che-st, He turned around and began to step out of the room.
Mitchell shook her heads and also turned around to leave and catch up with her angry boss.
Emperor grinned and faced May.
” That was enough to chase our pest away.” He said and May refused to smile.
He frowned as well and patted her hair gently.
” It’s okay, May. He can’t hurt you as far as you are with me. So don’t be scared.” He said and took her out of the longue.

Liam’s car
Liam got to his car and he rested his head on the steering wheel.
He kept groa-ning, squeezing his eyes ti-ght with pain. How could she?
He felt so betrayed that…
He felt like throwing and destroying things but even that couldn’t stop his anger from reducing by a per.
He pinched his eye lids and stopped himself from sobbing like a baby.
Mitchell got into the car.
” Are you okay?” She asked and Liam bit his li-ps hard.
He placed his seat belts on and turned to face Mitchell.
” Do you wanna go on a date with me?” He asked and Mitchell eyes surged open in shock. what was wrong with this man.
” Say yes!” He yelled.
” Yes. Yes sir..” She replied fearfully. He grabbed her head and kis-sed her forehead hardly.
