Aaron’s mouth was still wide open as he stared at Lauren in astonishment. Did she just hit him just because he complimented her??
Realizing what she just did, Lauren’s face scrunched up in remorse and she quickly clasped her palms together.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do that…” She bit her lower li-p slowly.
Aaron scoffed. He’s always known her to be hot tempered but he never imagined her going far to this extent.
“You didn’t mean to do that? I was only trying to compliment and I had to receive this at the end?” A low chuckle came from the back of his throat.
“You should have just left when I asked you to,” Lauren mumbled.
“Seriously? I’ll do just that,” Aaron walked away instantly.
“Gosh,” Lauren rubbed her forehead. She never intended to hit him, she was just pissed and now… She’s regretting it.

Aaron was heading to the suite when his phone rang in his pan-ts pocket. He brou-ght it out and he was shaken up when he saw the caller ID.
Slowly, his hand clic-ked on the green icon and he placed his phone on his ear.
“Hi, ma’am,” he muttered.
“Right now?” His eyes wide-ned a bit.

MELANIE’S APARTMENT***
Axel entered his room just in time to meet his phone blaring loudly on the nightstand.
He walked to it and shock almost took his every being when he saw Ace calling him.
Without thinking twice, he picked the call immediately.
“Can we meet up?” Ace’s low voice was heard in the background.
Axel furrowed his brows greatly. The voice he heard doesn’t sound okay to him at all.
“Are you alright?” He asked calmly.
“Just come over… My house,” the call disconnected immediately.
Axel brou-ght his phone to his face, before releasing a great sigh. He picked up his jacket and car keys before walking out of the house.
This is a chance for them to settle their disputes, he dare not waste it.

BROWN’S RESIDENCE***
The sudden silence from Melanie got Paisley’s heart racing wildly. Was she going to get mad at her? Is this the final end of their friendship?
“Say something, Annie. Please,” she hiccuped slowly.
Melanie heaved a sigh before resuming patting her back.
“It’s okay,” she whispered, rubbing her back soothingly.
Paisley’s body slowly relaxed in her arms and Melanie smiled softly.
“I know how much you love him, I know how ha-rd it is for you to avoid him all because of me. But, have you figured out his feelings for you? Does he feel the same way?” Melanie asked.
“He doesn’t,” Paisley sniffed.
“He was drunk, I’m sure he wouldn’t have done that in his right sense. I just feel so ashamed of myself, I had no control and…”
“Shh… That’s enough, huh?” Melanie interrupted and broke the hug.
“You don’t have to blame yourself, all you have to do is to have self control. Avoiding him now should be the best thing, if seeing him will make you lose yourself, then you should distance yourself from him.”
“You need to know his feelings for you, Ace is really unpredictable,” Melanie said.
“You… You aren’t mad? Ace is your ex boyfriend,” Paisley mumbled gently.
Melanie giggled.
“Why would I? Rather, I’m grateful to him because throu-ghhim, I met my boyfriend” a pink blus-h crept to her cheeks.
Paisley was dumbfounded, it was as though her ears stopped malfunctioning that moment.
“Boy…. Boyfriend?” She stammered, staring at her friend in incredulity.
“Yea.i accepted him yesterday, I almost died while avoiding him and….” Paisley’s loud scream shut Melanie up as she was suddenly engulfed into a tight hug.
“Urgh… You’re… Choking me,” Melanie coughed while trying to breathe.
“Are you for real? Axel is your boyfriend now??” Paisley screamed happily.
“Let go first,” Melanie tugged at Paisley’s arm gently.
The door opened and Mrs. Brown showed up. Her forehead wrinkled in confusion and she rested on the doorframe, staring at the two friends who were oblivious of her presence.
She actually rushed there when she heard Paisley’s loud scream. But getting here, she met another sight… A beautiful sight to behold.
Paisley broke the hug and her hand instantly went to Melanie’s fresh cheek, pulling it teasingly.
“So, that was why you rushed away from school? To meet him?” She wiggled her brows.
Melanie slapped her hands with a chuckle.
“We both missed each other. Gosh, I was so stupid for asking him to stay away, I must have gone insane then” she breathed out.
“What about Ace?” Paisley suddenly asked.
“I don’t think he’s gonna take this lightly,” she added.
“Axel promised to talk to him, he just needs to accept the fact that I’m over him and I’m in love with Axel” Melanie said with a smile.
“Don’t worry, it’ll be fine. But, I’m still a little bit shocked. Axel is your boyfriend now?”
“Like….” Paisley giggled excitedly and her eyes went to the door.
She was struck dumb when she found Mrs. Brown staring at them with her hands across her chest. A scrutiny gaze was plastered on her face.
“Aunt….” She stuttered, glancing at Melanie with the corner of her eye.
Wait… Aunt? Melanie turned to the door and color drained on her face when her eyes beheld her Mom’s.
“Mom….” She stammered.
Mrs. Brown slowly walked towards them. Each step she took sent shivers down Melanie and Paisley’s spine.
“You have a boyfriend again?” Mrs. Brown asked.
“Erm… Mom, I,” Melanie shut her eyes tightly before opening it back.
“Yes, Mom” her voice came out more boldly than she expected.
“And… I love him,”came another word from her.
Did she just say that?? To her Mom??
“Stop talking please,” Melanie’s frustrated voice begged her inner self.
Paisley was not left out. She was also shocked to hear that from Melanie.
Mrs. Brown walked towards Melanie. Her hand stretched forth in the air and Melanie’s face involuntarily moved to the other side, expecting to receive something ha-rd on her cheek.
Instead, she was pulled to a motherly hug and she was dumbstruck.
“I’m glad to find you moving on,” Mrs. Brown whispered.
“The thought of you being sad and heartbroken, shattered me. I know the feeling of you being betrayed by someone you least expected but I’m glad that you finally moved on,” She concluded with a smile.
“Mom…” Melanie let out in a shaky voice. She was beginning to get emotional.
“Oh C’mon, you thought I was gonna scold you?” Mrs. Brown chuckled.
Melanie nodded meekly against her chest and a throaty laugh escaped Mrs. Brown’s mouth.
“No, darling. I’m happy for you, for the both of you” she glanced at Paisley who was staring at them with a smile.
“I’m glad you both are back together, never separate again, okay?”
“Yes, Aunt”
“Yes, Mom” Melanie and Paisley said in unison.
“Good. And, tell him to visit someday, I need to see if he’s worthy of your love” Mrs. Brown said.
“Thank you, Mom,” Melanie whispered with a smile.

KING’S ESTATES***
Walking into the room, he met Ace sprawled on the floor with bottles of alcohol before him.
“The fuc-k , dude!” Axel exclaimed and literally ran to him.
“What the fuc-k is wrong with you?” He snapped and snatched the glas-scup from Ace’s hand.
“Give it back,” Ace’s voice came out weakly.
“How could you drink when you’re fully aware that you’re not that tolerant of it?” Axel chastised.
“I did it again,” Ace whispered, his head bent in shame.
“I slept with her again, I really don’t deserve her anymore,” he sniffed.
“What happened?” Axel asked softly, grabbing a hold of Ace’s shoulder.
“I slept with Paisley again, I was drunk. I…” A tear escaped Ace’s eyes.
“I don’t deserve Melanie anymore, I’m a jerk. A jerk not worthy of her love, I keep sleeping with her best friend,” Ace mumbled.
“I should stop now, I give up,” Ace raised his teary eyes to stare at Axel.
“Promise not to hurt her just like I did,” his voice shook slowly.
“I promise,” Axel whispered.
“Promise to always love her, promise not to break her heart. Promise…” A sob escaped his li-ps and Axel started patting his shoulder.
“I love Melanie, I’ll always do with all my heart. I’ll never break her, this is my promise to you, Ace,” Axel said with full determination laced in his voice.
Ace pulled him to a brotherly hug and smiled briefly.
“I thought I could stay away from you, but I was wrong. We’re stuck together, buddy”
A happy smile spread on Axel’s face.

WINK MODELLING AGENCY***
The Director could be seen speaking with someone over the phone.
“I don’t think I can do that, sir. He’s all we need right now,” he said.
“He’s getting famous in just two weeks and you wanna kill that for him? I won’t accept that, sorry if I’m going against my word. But, I’m never signing him out of my industry.”
“I’ll help him grow. I’ll take him to greater heights” The Director ended in a defiant tone.
