★ MISSING YOU ★

Axel who was oblivious of a presence gawking at his appearance, sat there, waiting to know the model he’ll be shooting with.

“Oh Sierra, you’re here” the Director smiled when his eyes landed on Sierra in the room

Sierra smiled and then cat walked towards them, her gaze lingering on Axel’s.

Axel turned his head and watched as she came closer to them. She was beautiful, he must admit but not as beautiful as his own Mel.

At the mention of her name, a light smile escaped his li-ps. He was missing her badly and he couldn’t wait to get home just to see her.

“Are you here with us?” The Director’s voice jolted him back to reality.

Sierra chuckled and tucked her hair to the back. His eyes were on her and she needed no one to tell her that he was bewitched by her beauty.

“Yeah sorry. I zoned out for a while,” Axel muttered.

Sierra sat down and glanced at him. She stretched a palm towards him.

“Hi, I’m Sierra,” she introduced with a smile.

“Axel,” Axel muttered and shook her hand briefly.

“I’m glad you both met coincidentally. Sierra, he’s a new model in this agency, and you both will be shooting together. I mean, his first shoot,” the Director explained.

Sierra glanced at Axel.

“It’ll be nice working with you,” she smiled.

Axel nodded.

“So, how do we go about it?” He stared at the Director.

MONASH UNIVERSITY***

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Lauren asked Melanie as they walked out of the school. They were heading to the bus station.

“Yea,” Melanie breathed out.

Lauren stopped walking and stared at Melanie sadly.

“Why do I feel like you’re slowly distancing yourself from me?” She asked slowly.

Melanie stopped walking too and turned to her.

“Why would I?” She smiled.

“Lanie, is there something that you aren’t telling me?” Lauren asked, holding her by the arm.

“There isn’t, I’m just tired” Melanie muttered and started walking.

Lauren raised a brow, she lifted her hand and was about to touch Melanie’s forehead when a car suddenly stopped just beside them.

The glas-swinded down and Ace’s face came into view. He flashed a smile at the girls.

“Care for a drive?” He asked.

“No, thanks” Melanie walked away.

“fuc-k off,” Lauren mouthed to him and ran after Melanie.

Ace didn’t back off, he started driving slowly behind them.

“I mean no harm, Melanie. I just want to give you a drive, that’s all” he kept saying.

Melanie ignored him till she got to the bus station. Luckily for her, the bus came right in time and she entered with Lauren, leaving Ace speechless where he was.

Ace sighed and winded up his gla-ss.

“She’s really different from the Melanie I know,” he mumbled to himself

“She isn’t that soft girl anymore,” he added.

“It seems he ain’t stopping at any time,” Lauren said to Melanie whose head was resting on the window

“What do you intend to do?” She asked.

“I don’t even know, I just want him far away from me,” Melanie muttered.

Lauren smiled in understanding and raised her hand, she patted Melanie’s hair gently.

“I understand you Lanie, but don’t forget you ain’t alone, okay? You have me and…. Julie,” she completed.

Melanie smiled and stared at her, she placed her head on Lauren’s shoulder.

“Thank you,” she whispered.

HOURS LATER***

Axel stopped his car just when he got to the house. He alighted from it and locked it before entering the gate.

As he inched closer to the door, he felt his heart beating fast in anxiousness. He couldn’t wait to set his eyes on Melanie again.

He opened the door and the smile on his face disappeared immediately he saw the scene in front of him.

“What are you doing?” He questioned, staring at Melanie who had bags around her.

Melanie froze on the spot, her eyes staring de-eply at him. Why’s he just coming now?

“Where are you going? What’s with the bags?” Axel questioned again as he walked to her.

“Erm…. Mom wants me back home, she…”

“You’re moving out?” Axel asked with his breath in his throat.

“Yes,”

That time, Axel felt his whole world crumbling into pieces. She was leaving, like he won’t see her in the house anymore?

“Why?” He managed to let out a whisper.

“Mom wants me back home. She found out about me and Paisley and she wants me back immediately,” Melanie explained, avoiding his eyes.

“And you want to leave without telling me? If I hadn’t returned on time, you would have left, leaving my heart shattered”

“What am I even saying? You already shattered my heart,” Axel shook his head, biting his li-ps hurting.

“I’m sorry,” Melanie mumbled.

“Can’t believe I just got my heart broken,” Axel muttered. His voice was torn, and he was trying ha-rd to control his emotions.

“You should leave,” he muttered and walked past her.

“Axel,” Melanie called but he didn’t respond.

Melanie sighed and blinked her eyes rapidly. Her hand held the traveling bag in her hand tightly and she took her steps to the door.

Just as her hand made contact with the doorknob, a hand suddenly pulled her to a ha-rd chest, chest colliding together and li-ps smashing on hers.

Melanie’s hand sli-pped off from the traveling bag and it fell to the ground. Her hands went to his neck as they ki-ssed each other hard.

A throaty mo-an escaped her li-ps when his tongue sli-pped into her mouth, exploring every corner of her sweet taste.

Her hands traveled to his hair, raking her hands throu-ghthe soft strands.

Axel slowly parted his li-ps from hers and he couldn’t resist the temptation of placing a peck on her li-ps.

A hand went to her cheek and he caressed it gently.

“Don’t go please,” he whispered.

“My Mom,”

Axel bent his head and sniffed gently which surprised Melanie.

“Axel?” She called.

“I’m gonna miss you,” she heard his whisper.

“So very much,” he added.

Melanie raised his head with her hands and felt a sting in her heart when she saw his red eyes.

“We are still gonna see each other at school,” she muttered.

Axel shook his head against her hand. He held her hand which was on his cheek and caressed it slowly.

“I love you,” he whispered, staring down at her eyes.

“So very much,” he leaned his head closer to hers and brushed his li-ps with hers.

Melanie sighed, her hands moving to his neck.

His li-ps brushed hers again and this time, Melanie was the one who took the lead. She crashed her li-ps on his and his hands encircled her wa-istquickly.

He carried her in his arms and walked to the wall, his hands resting on her a*s slightly.

Melanie’s back rested on the wall, their li-ps moving in sync with each other.

Slowly, Axel’s hand trailed to her body, moving upwards till it got to her chest.

He squee-zed a b**b slowly and Melanie quickly broke the ki-ss.

She was breathing heavily as she stared into his eyes.

“Sorry, I just couldn’t control myself,” Axel muttered, a hand still resting on her b*tt.

Melanie bit her swollen li-ps.

“I need to go now,” she mumbled.

Axel’s eyes twitched and he sighed sadly. He gently placed her on her feet and moved away from her.

“I don’t think I’ll be able to let you go if a minute should pas-sby,” he said.

Melanie walked to where her traveling bag was, she carried it and looked at him.

“Bye, Axel…” She muttered and walked to the door. With a heavy heart, she left the house.

Immediately she was gone, a sudden silence filled the house and it felt empty to Axel.

Axel raked his hand throu-ghhis har slowly, without Melanie in the house, it felt cold.

BROWN’S RESIDENCE***

Melanie stared at the mansion before her. On normal terms, she would be elated with the thought of returning home but now… She was sad.

She knocked the gate gently and it got opened by the security.

“Miss, welcome home,” the security smiled when he set his eyes on hers.

Melanie smiled briefly and made her way to the house.

She entered the house and her eyes met with her mother’s who was staring at the door as though she knew she was coming soon.

“Mom,” she called slowly, holding the bag with her tight.

“Set your things back in your room,” Mrs. Brown turned and left.

Melanie bit her li-ps and turned to the path which led to her room.

She entered and the first thing she noticed was the way her room was still arranged with the way she left it.

She sighed and walked to the bed, suddenly missing Axel.

After some minutes, she was done arranging her things and she was sitting on the bed.

Her mind traveled to the moment she had with Axel in the house and she smiled sadly.

Her phone beeped and a message popped on her screen. It was a message from Axel.

★ ARE YOU HOME ALREADY? CAN’T BELIEVE I’M MISSING YOU SO SOON. MAKE SURE YOU DON’T SKIP YOUR MEALS, AND DON’T MISS ME TOO MUCH (he sent a wink emoji) I LOVE YOU! ★

A chuckle escaped from her li-ps after she was done reading the message.

“I’m missing you too,” she mumbled to herself.

The door opened and Mrs. Brown showed up.

“Come out, your Dad and I need to speak with you,” Mrs. Brown said and left the room.

Melanie shook her head. She stood up and went out of the room.

“Dad!” She smiled when she saw her father in the living room.

Mr. Brown simply smiled.

“I heard what happened from your Mom, was that true?” He asked.

“Yes,” Melanie answered.

“I still found it ha-rd to believe you had a boyfriend behind my back. How old do you think you are?” Mrs. Brown scoffed in disbelief.

“I’m 20, Mom,” Melanie said.

“I’m twenty and I’m old enough to start making decisions for myself. For crying out loud, I’m not six years old!” Melanie shit frustratingly.

“Are you tryna talk back to me right now?” Mrs. Brown said.

“You shouldn’t be doing this right now,” Mr. Brown said.

There was a knock on the door.

“Do you think that’s Paisley?” Mrs. Brown asked rhetorically.

“I bet she ain’t gonna show up,” Melanie muttered.

The door opened and the least person Melanie expected showed up… Paisley.

Paisley entered the room and immediately her eyes set on Mrs. Brown, she rushed to hug her.

“Aunt,” she whispered, shocking Melanie to the core.
