NEXT MORNING***
Sleeping peacefully in her bed, Melanie was cradling a pillow to her chest. The sun was beaming throu-ghthe blinds causing her to stir.
She gro-aned when the first beam of sunlight hit her face. Her eyes flew open and she sat up at once, placing her hand on her head which was throbbing.
“My head,” she gro-aned a bit.
She looked around the room and the memories of the previous night started appearing to her.
“I can’t believe I broke down in his presence” she bit her li-ps slowly.
*”Shhh,” he placed his hand on her li-ps gently.
“They don’t deserve your tears, okay? Just forget about them” he muttered, pulling her to a hug.*
“Why was he so cool?” She shook her head with a smile.
“He’s right. I need to stop crying over them, they’re not worth it” she stood up from the bed and stretched her limbs.
Melanie walked to the mirror and stared at herself with a smile, she flung her hair to the back before grinning to herself.
“It’s a new day! I won’t let myself be stepped on again, new Melanie on the way!!!” She screamed so loud before giggling to herself.
She rushed to the bathroom to have her normal routine.
She came out of the bathroom, dressed in only a white towel. She walked to her closet and the first thing her eyes landed on was Axel’s jacket, lying peacefully amongst her clothes.
She picked it slowly, a slow smile spread on her li-ps. She returned it to him but he bluntly refused, saying he already gave it to her.
She was still staring at the jacket when the doorbell rang.
“Who’s there?” She wondered.
The bell rang again. Without giving it much thought, she picked the jacket and wore it, zipping it up and then she left her room.
On her way to the door, the bell rang and she let out an exasperated sigh.
“I’m coming, don’t bring the whole house down!” She yelled.
She opened the door and a light gasp escaped her li-ps when she saw an extremely good looking woman in front of her.
“Who are you?” They both chorused at the same time.
The woman frowned as her eyes scanned Melanie’s clothing, she recognized that jacket to be Axel’s.
“Why are you putting on my son’s jacket and in his house?” The woman questioned.
“Your son?” Melanie wondered, her eyes slowly getting wide.
Axel, who also heard the doorbell ringing, came out of his room in only his shorts. He just finished bathing and he was dripping we-t, giving him the killer look.
“Who’s at the door?” He asked, walking to Melanie.
The woman’s eyes wide-ned and she staggered falling into her husband’s arms who was just appearing.
Axel’s eyes went wide when he saw his parents, a frown found its way to his li-ps.
“What’s going on here?” Mr. Braun asked.
Mrs. Braun stared at Melanie again, her eyes going forth between Melanie and Axel.
A lady putting on her son’s jacket, and her son in just a short… What explanation does she need again?
“Who’s she? Your girlfriend?” She questioned.
“Girl, what?” Melanie faced Axel.

“How did you find out about this place?” Axel asked his parents. They were all in the living room now.
“Is that what’s important right now? You left the house and made us all worried, not knowing you are here enjoying yourself with her” Mrs. Braun eyed Melanie.
“I think you’re getting something wrong here, I’m not his girlfriend. We’re roommates” Melanie explained.
“Roommates?” Mr. Braun raised a brow.
Axel rolled his eyes before facing Melanie.
“You can go, I’m sorry for the inconveniences” he said.
“She needs to stay, because I’m not understanding a single thing here!” Mrs. Braun shot.
“And how’s that my business? I really don’t know how you found out about my house, but you should take your leave” Axel said.
“Are you chasing us out now?” Mr. Braun asked, staring at his son in incredulity.
“What does that look like to you?” Axel asked back.
“Aren’t you even worried about Ariel? She’s so fuc-k ing worried about you” Mrs. Braun said.
“Just tell her I’m fine” Axel turned to leave.
“Is that all you can say? How could you for Pete’s sake?! A son of a congressman staying in a low apartment, does that make any sense?!” Mr. Braun yelled.
“Then stop dictating my life with me, do you know how much that annoys me? I really don’t know why I’m exchanging words with you, but please take your leave and don’t ever come back here again”
“Axel…”
“Please….” Axel cuts her off.
Mrs. Braun sighed before facing her husband.
“Let’s go, honey,” she muttered.
Mr. Braun stared at Axel before looking at Melanie.
“Roommates, you say?” He asked slowly.
“Yes…” Melanie replied.
He nodded and got to his feet, his wife did too as she held his arm.
“We’ll be back soon,” Mrs. Braun said.
Axel rolled his eyes and walked to the kitchen, leaving Melanie alone with his parents.
“Are you sure you’re just his roommate?” Mrs. Braun asked.
“Not his girlfriend?” She added.
“We’re just housemates, that’s all” Melanie said.
“Then why are you putting on his jacket?” She pushed further.
“Honey,” Mr. Braun cautioned.
“Fine, fine. Let’s go” Mrs. Braun rolled her eyes.
“Sorry if we made you uncomfortable, Miss” Me. Braun said to Melanie.
“It’s nothing, sir. Have a safe trip” Melanie shook her head with a smile.
Mr. Braun nodded and left the house with his wife.
Melanie locked the door and breathed out loudly, rubbing her chest.
She stared at the direction of the kitchen before walking to it. She met Axel sitting on a stool, while drinking alcohol.
“Why did you act that way? They seemed nice though” she muttered, walking to him.
“Is that how you go about trusting people so easily? I see why you got dumped” Axel scoffed.
“Hey!” Melanie half yelled
“What? Am I wrong?” He raised a brow.
“fuc-k you!” She glared and left the kitchen.
Axel stared as she walked out, his eyes fixed on her thighs which were exposed. He took his gaze away and gulped down the drink at once.
Afterwards, he left the kitchen for his room.

MELANIE’S ROOM***
“That jerk, just when I thought he was getting nice,” Melanie scoffed as she entered her room.
“fuc-k you, a-ssa-ssin!” She screamed out. The fact that he was right was what got her mad.
Her phone rang, it was Lauren calling.
“Hey Babe!” Lauren’s voice rang over the phone.
“Hey,”
“Tonight is our party, are you ready?” Lauren asked.
“The freshmen party?” Melanie gasped a little.
“Yea… It’s really gonna be sweet, don’t forget, okay? Put on something se-xy and make those guys drool over you, show them what you’ve got!” Lauren screamed.
Melanie cackled at her silliness. Lauren might look cute and innocent, but she’s got a crazy nature.
“Alright, we’ll meet in school” Melanie smiled.
“Okay, I need to go. Bye!” The call disconnected immediately.
Melanie smiled and walked to the closet, looking for what to wear.

MONASH UNIVERSITY****
A loud scream erupted from the girls’ li-ps as Axel entered the cla-ss. The guys were not left out too, most of them get jealous at his cuteness.
“It’s Axel! Gosh, can he stop looking cute?”
“Axel, I love you!”
“I’m in love with you, swears. Marry me please”
The clas-sbursted into laughter at the last statement.
Axel settled himself on a seat and almost immediately, Audrey sat beside him.
“Hey, hottie,” she winked.
“Will you be attending the freshmen party?” She asked.
“Is it today?” Axel asked.
“Yea… Are you attending? Cos I’m gonna be there” Audrey said.
“Sure” Axel muttered.
Audrey smiled widely. Amongst all the girls in the school, she could proudly say she’s the closest to Axel.
“Axel, about the other day…” She started slowly.
“Hey, Axel,” Freya smiled, walking towards them.
“Are you free today?” She asked.
“Are you serious right now?” Audrey scoffed in disbelief.
“Can’t you see I’m talking to him?” She asked, almost tearing up in anger.
Axel stood up and walked out of the cla-ss, leaving Audrey and Freya to handle themselves.
He got outside and met his three friends, they were on the way to the cla-ss.
“Wow! You’re looking hot, mehn” Aaron whistled.
“You look dull, are you okay?” Aiden asked.
“Yea…” Axel brou-ght out a box of cigarettes and Ace snatched it away from him.
“Smoking again? Aren’t you tired of it?” He scolded.
Axel stared at him.
*”I saw them… He… He was fuc-k ing her in the restroom,”* He remembered Melanie’s words.
“You can have it then” he walked away.
“What’s wrong with him?” Aiden wondered.
“Do you think he’s okay?” Aaron faced him.
Ace shrugged before throwing the box away.

Melanie entered the clas-sand went to sit beside Lauren and Julie.
“You’re late today,” Lauren pouts.
“Sorry” Melanie smiled shortly.
“Are you okay? You left in tears yesterday” Julie asked.
“I’m fine, I just saw something disgusting” Melanie muttered
Lauren stared at her.
“Is it what I think it is?” She raised a brow.
“Yea, obviously. But don’t worry, I’m fine” Melanie smiled
“Is there something I’m not aware of?” Julie asked.
“Well, Melanie caught her supposed best friend sleeping with her boyfriend”
“What?!” Julie gasped.
“Shocked, right? I was too, gosh can’t believe those two right now” Lauren muttered.
“Are you okay? It must have hurt a lot” Julie said sadly.
“I’m fine, I’m getting over it anyway”
“Stop looking at me with those eyes, I’m fine, really!” Melanie grinned.
“Do you know how to get that off your mind?” Julie suddenly asked.
“If you wanna forget them easily, then do what you’re best at. Take your mind off everything and do it with all the happiness in you, trust me you’ll forget about it” Julie advised.
“Is that real?” Lauren asked.
“Yeah, it works a lot,” Julie smiled.
“Thanks, I’ll try that,” Melanie said.
“You won’t regret it, trust me?” Julie winked.
Kylie watched as Melanie discussed with her friends, a smile playing on his li-ps.
“She’s just so beautiful,” he mumbled.
“Then ask her out than you acting like a fool” Leon, his friend snapped beside him.
“I’m gonna do that soon, you don’t have to be harsh” Kylie eyed him.
“Whatever” Leon rolled his eyes.

Their first clas-swas over and the whole hall was noisy.
“Should we take a stroll?” Lauren suggested.
“Not a bad idea,” Julie said.
The trio stood up and left the cla-ss.
“She made friends so easily,” Paisley said to herself.
“She’s just so dumb, so annoying” she shook her head.

Melanie was taking a stroll with her friends when they came across Ace. Melanie rolled her eyes and walked past him.
Ace caught her hand and the next thing that followed was a sound of his cheek.
“In your life… I repeat, in your life, don’t you ever touch me with those disgusting hands again. Manwhore” Melanie spat and walked away.
Ace’s hand flew to his cheeks, his eyes wide in surprise.
“Did she just do that to me?” He asked no one in particular.

A4’S SUITE***
“You mean your parents found out about your house?” Aaron yelled in shock.
“Just a day of not wearing your mask, this had to happen” Aiden said.
“So, what did they say?” Ace asked.
“I chased them away, they’re just so annoying” Axel shut his eyes.
“But, don’t you think you need to go home?” Aaron asked.
Axel threw a harsh glare at him and he quickly zipped up his mouth.
“Sorry,” he chuckled.
“You don’t need to put on a mask anymore, right?” Ace asked.
“There’s no need since they found where he stays now” Aiden muttered.
“I’m leaving,” Axel stood up.
“So soon?” Aiden asked.
“Yeah… Tonight is the freshman party, right?” Axel asked back..
“That’s true tho” Aaron mumbled.
“See you guys later” Axel left the house.
“He’s slowly changing,” Ace mumbled.
“Who? Axel?” Aiden asked.
“Think he’s getting himself back without the mask on” Aaron giggled

MELANIE’S APARTMENT***
Melanie was sitting in the living room, watching a movie. A bowl of popcorn was on her thighs as she ate it slowly.
“If you wanna forget them easily, then do what you’re best at. Take your mind off everything and do it with all the happiness in you, trust me you’ll forget about it” She remembered Julie’s advice.
Slowly, she placed the bowl of popcorn on the couch and stood up.
She went to the disc player and played “twe-rk; by City girl feat Cardi B”.
Melaine positioned herself well, she bent in a squ-atting position and straightened herself along with the rhythm of the music, and started twe-rking, shaking her booty real hard.
“Gosh! It’s been long since I did this” she giggled, whining her wa-istand arching her back as she continued twe-rking.
She was still lost in her world when she heard someone clapping behind her.
She stopped and to her surprise, she saw Axel, looking at her with a smirk on his li-ps.
“That was amazing,” he grinned.
“When… When did you get here?” She stuttered.
Axel started moving closer to her.
“Long enough to see you shaking that a*s” he said naughtily.
“You can continue, I’ll be here watching you” he plopped himself on a couch and crossed his legs and arms, staring at her blankly.
“Continue, Mel. This bad boy wanna enjoy a nice view” a slow grin formed on his li-ps.
