A week later
Davis
I looked out throu-gh the car window as my driver speed the car throu-gh the road while Simeon won’t st©p calling my lines.
I aren’t in the mood to take calls and he knew better than disturbing.
I took my eyes back to the car, looking super restless.
it’s been over a week since the ugly incident and I haven’t been myself,
heaven knows how much I missed her,
how much Ifu-cking missed everything about her but it pricks my heart each time I realise she’s cheating on me.
gawwwd!
I never believe she’s promiscuous.
could it be the reason why she wasn’t a vir-gin?
oh! my goodness
what the hell is wrong with me?
I shouldn’t be thinking of her that way but she’s…… she’s…… gawwd!
it hurt me to see her pretty face red and puffy from too many cryings
I hate seeing her cry, I don’t wanna see her in pains
it breaks my heart
I love Robyn!
I love her so much
but she did the unpardonable
any lady had never crossed my mind the very moment I realized I was in love with her
I show her love,care and attention,
I gave her all what I have but she sl@pped me on the face by bringing her b©yfri£nd, Ex or whatever to our be-droom

I slowly used my thumb to wipe the stubborn tears that had rolled down my cheeks
I really can’t remember the last time I shed a tear, but she made me cry

I remembered vividly my sole promise not to make her cry, but here she is!

and as the head of the family,while she’s the guilty one here, have gotten the perfect punishment for her
my silent treatment is the best punishment before my s-en-ses will return to normal cause right now I know my thinking faculty isn’t in order
I don’t wanna make decisions that will turn out to be pains and regret to me
so all I nee-d to do is to lie low and rest my head so it can straight
though I can’t deny the fact that I still love her

forgiveness is definitely out of the question perhaps divorce sounds better
few minutes later,the driver was alre-ady honking in front of the industries large gate
the gate flunged open and my driver rode the car in towards the industries parking lot, he brou-ght the car to a halt and I alighted from it, moving briskly into the building ignoring the stares, greetings,compliments and admiration I got from almost every living soul I come across
I took the lift straight up to the fourth floor and soon I was seated in my office alre-ady, going throu-gh my schedules for the today
“adjust my schedules for today
I really nee-d to get home early today”I spoke authoritatively to the secretary in charge of my office schedules
“okay sir Davis”she bowed slightly
“you have a meeting with F.R square movie industry
you have a dinner with sir Collins Scotts and your…..”she kept on re-ading my schedules and I slammed a f!nger on my forehead
“I thought I made it clear to you few minutes ago, that you should adjust my schedules?”I asked and she kept mute staring at me like a bloated goat
“I asked a question
didn’t I?”I asked and she fidgeted
“oh! yeah!
you did sir!…..you actually did…..and am gonna do the adjustment right away sir”she replied and turned around re-ady to leave
“report to my office when your done”I ordered and she nodded bowing slightly
she walked towards the door and made to walk out when I st©pped her
“kindly s£nd in Jemima on your way out”I said and she gave a slight bow again
“yeah sir!”she replied and walked out of my office
I picked up one of my ringing phones and it was that silly buddy of min
📱hey man!”his voice boomed out from the reciever

are you screaming or something?”i tea-sed and could feel his smile from the other end

have been calling since like forever”he asked instead ignoring my question
📱am as busy as a bee Simeon, and you know better”I replied
📱and his that the main reason you couldn’t pick up your phone and place a good morning call to me?”he asked and I feign a frown
📱your not my wife, buddy!”I replied and just then, my office door flunged open andJemima walked in, looking crazily beautiful as always

she walked few steps closer and sat on my office desk
I ignored her act and made to continue searching when she got hold of my tie
hold on,what’s she trying to do?
I got a hold of my tie gently pu-lling it off her hand
gone are the days I fall prey for her
am now married and there’s a big difference between being married and being single
she undauntedly took her hands to my che-st and I got a hold of it
“what do you think you are doing Jemima?”I asked and she wi-nks
“come on Davis it’s nothing!
just a quic-kie!”she replied and I frowned
“am married now”I replied
“oh! yeah!
but it doesn’t change anything”she said and I got hold of her, gently slamming her over my office desk
I cli-ck my ton-gue around her ears before whispering into it
“have gat a beautiful wife that I love so much!

I slowly alighted from the car and my securities reduced drastically, my driver walked to the other side of my car, bringing out my brief case and trailed behide me with it.
work today wasn’t stressful but the thought of Jemima who had tried s£dûç!ng me at the office today made my head spin.
what could have come over her?
she of all people should know better than to do that, I was once attra-cted to her b©dy but it’s not anymore.
for heaven sake am married and as a married man I aren’t expected to do a thing like that, though my wife did.
shefu-cking cheated on me but that isn’t enough reason for me to do same thing right?
it’s been just three months and few weeks we had gotten married, it’s not even up to a year and our marriage is having crack alre-ady

I walked steadily towards the entrance and almost bu-mped into someone oh! pumpkin!
“welcome big bro, how was work?” she asked getting a hold of my briefcase from my driver
“work was fine sweetie” I replied ruffling her neatly packed hair
we got into the sitting room and I caught sight of mum and dad in the sitting room

“dad!” I called armspre-ad rushing towards him in all smiles and he elgulf in a warm embr@ce

son I never told your mother I would be flying into the country either, I wanted to pl@ya surprise ” dad said and I couldn’t st©p smiling
“good evening mum” I greeted mum whose hands was all over her husband the whole time
“evening son and how was work?” mum asked and I exhaled pu-lling off my suit jacket
“it was fine mum” I replied tired
“why don’t you go take a shower, dinner would be re-ady in 20minutes”mum said and I nodded just then Robyn showed up, climbing down the stairs, she paused briefly on seeing me her eyes were redand puffy
one would know she has been crying the whole time
I took my eyes off hers as she approached me
she took the briefcase from pumpkin, s£nding her an unfriendly gaze
then she turned towards me,taking the suit jacket from me
I let her do all this cause of mum and dad
I really don’t want her to suspect we are having a br@wl
“welcome honey”she greeted and I gave a slight nod,turning to mum and dad
“I would be in my room now mum!
see you later dad”I said giving dad a thumb up
“hold on Davis!”mum said and I st©pped on my tracks
“are you having problems with your wife?”she asked and I rolled my eyes
“we are cool mum” I replied instead and she frowned
“that doesn’t answer my question son”she said and dad looked on expectantly, turning towards Robyn

are you having problems with your husband?”dad asked Robyn who kept staring down at her feet
“nope dad!
she’s not”I replied instead and mum s£nt me an angry look
“keep shut!
and st©p speaking for her”mum rant
“come on Robyn, tell us what we nee-d to know”mum urged and I sh0t Robyn a stare
“nothing mum!
we aren’t having a br@wl”she replied at the verge of crying
“come on Robyn, be truthful”mum urged and I frowned
“she just told you the truth mum!
what else do you wanna hear?”I asked moving away towards the stairs and Robyn trailed along
we got into the room and I quic-kly took my briefcase and suit jacket from her
she had begun whimpering alre-ady
“Davis!”she called almost inaudibly and I ignored her, slowly pu-lling off my clothes
I tied a towel on my w@!st before placing a headphone over my ears, not like it was connected, I wanna listen to her whimpering without her knowing
it sounds more like a music in my ears
she got on her side of the be-d,wra-pping her self up with the duvet , I nee-d no one to tell me she’s having a ban-ging headache for almost crying out her eyes while I was away

we both climbe-d the stairs downwards, moving to the dinning section
immediately he was done having a shower.
I wasn’t okay, my b©dy and soul weren’tfu-cking okay.
almost ever member of the family were pres£nt for dinner left for that j£rk and his mother who were abs£nce
“good evening mum, good evening dad”I greeted taking a seat along side Davis
“good evening dear”Mrs hvggings replied smiling wi-dely while Mr hvggings only nodded with is mouth full.
the maid dished out our meal and everyb©dy began eating away including Davis, ever since that ugly incident he hasn’t been free with me, he doesn’t dish out my meal like he always does.

i felt crestfallen does that mean am gradually losing my husband alre-ady?
oh! good lords!
i couldn’t find my appetite anymore .
the emotional torture am going throu-gh now is seriously welling me down
“what’s wrong with you Robyn?
you’ve been picking on your food since you got here, is there something wrong?” Mrs hvgging asked and all eyes fell on me including Davis
“no ma, I just had a lost of appetite”I replied shoving the food from me
“seriously?
Davis what exactly is wrong with her?”his mum asked looking alarmed and worried
“i really have no idea,perhaps she’s running a temperature”he said dropping his cutlery
“and you should take her to the hospital
don’t you think?”she asked and Davis stole a glance at me
“and what the hell happened to her eyes?
they looked red and puffy!
as she been crying or something?”his mum added and Davis slammed his hands on the table, ma-king almost every b©dy jump back in fright
“no!!!
she hasn’t been crying mum!
and the last time I checked, she’s my wife and not yours!”he fired and made to walk out
he st©p on his tracks and turned towards me
“get up!”he ordered and damn! I suddenly felt hungry
“huh!” I asked like I haven’t heard him in the first place
“let’s go” he said instead and I hastily got up and we both climbe-d the stairs up to our room with all eyes on us
“Davis ” I called immediately he slumped on the be-d
“what do you want?” he asked almost audible
“Davis am sorry, your silent treatment is killing me slowly” I cried and he moved to his side of the be-d covering himself up with the duvet totally ignoring me
“Davis” I called again and he kept mute
“Davis plea-se hear me out!
I won’t dare cheat on you
I swear!” I cried
“but you did!”he replied and I felt my head spinning
“I didn’t Davis!
hear me out I beg of you”I cried
“just leave me alone”he replied
the pains were laden in his voice
“Davis plea-se am sorry”
“one more word from you and I will walk out throu-gh that door and never come back
” he rasp and I couldn’t say more
all I did was cry
will I ever get my Davis back???
