CHAPTER 51 & 52
✧ HEART BREAKS ✧
“I WILL LEAVE!!!” Addison shouted, Halting Viola on her tracks. A cunning smile appeared on Viola’s lips. She swivel around facing Addison whose face is already wet with tears. Her hair sticking right on her forehead.
Viola took a step closer to her still smiling. She touch her reddened left cheek which she had hit earlier rubbing it softly.
“I’m sorry for hitting you dear…I must have gone out of my senses” She said, Addison swallowed nothing.
“Just…just give me a little time”
“Don’t keep me waiting. My patience has its limits alright?” She gave her a hint of warning. Addison slowly nodded.
“Go clean up. You look terrible” Viola smirk sashaying out of the restroom.
ROOFTOP.
“They say he has cardiovascular disease…he’s not gonna survive it” Melissa sniff
“He…smokes?” Finn asked.
“Apparently…what do I do now? He’s the only family I have but now…he’s leaving me also. How am I to survive” She bursts into another round of tears.
“Hey…calm down. You’re gonna be fine” Finn slowly pulled her into his arms.
“I have no one else in this world…if he leaves…then I leave also. There’s no more reason for me to continue living. I’m just gonna end it all!” She pushed Finn away and before he knew it, she ran off.
“Hey! Melissa wait!” Finn ran after her.

“Argh!!” Addison fell brutally on the floor with a thud as someone collided into her. Addison looks up to the lady who bumped into her but before she could catch her face, she ran off leaving her on the floor.
“Addie!!” Finn rushed over to Addison on the floor helping her up.
“You okay?” He asked worried.
“I’m fine” She replied in a tired tone. Finn stares are her for a while then sighs.

“Here” Finn extend a can of soda to her taking a seat beside her.
“Thanks” She muttered.
“You shouldn’t walk around recklessly like that. You’ll be in trouble if were to be recognized”
“I’ll keep that in mind. I’m sorry”
“What’s wrong? I don’t think this is still about Ash”
“It’s nothing. I just feel bad…for everything”
“You can tell me anything Addie. Though…I know right now we ain’t in a balanced situation but still…I’ll always be here to listen to you. Just like I promised”
Addison looks at him and smiles.
“Thank you so much Finn…for everything”
“I’ll wait till you are ready. Let’s get going now. It’s pretty late” He stood up while she did also but to her surprise he pulled her into his embrace.
“Cry if you want to. You don’t have to hold it back when you’re with me. You stayed with me when I was in my worst so I promise…to be by your side also. I’ll always be by your side” He mumbles and Addison hugs him back.
“Thank you Finn…” She sniffs.
HOME.
Addison got inside the room and met Robin already in there. He was on the bed with the quilt covering the whole of him.
“Robin…” Addison called slowly walking towards the bed.
“I really don’t wanna talk to you right now…please give me some space”He mumbles not bothering to look at her. Addison felt shattered and broken. The fact that he’s giving her this cold treatment hurts her more than anything else.
“Alright…” She said almost inaudibly then sauntered into the bathroom.
NEXT DAY.
By the time Addison woke up Robin was already no where to be found. He must have left to the hospital first. Addison sighs sadly when she couldn’t find him. She got dressed sluggishly and went downstairs. Finn was already dressed up also waiting for her.
“I made breakfast. We can leave after eating” He said to her
“Finn I’m not_”
“You didn’t take dinner last night Addie. Don’t try to give me any excuses this morning” Finn affirms interrupting her.
“Alright” She sighs defeatedly taking a sit while he serves the food.
After eating they head to the hospital together. As expected, Bin was already in the room together with the president.
“You guys are here” PM said immediately they went in.
“Ash!” Addison rushed over to him. He was already awake and was sitting atop the bed.
“Are…are you okay?” She asked sitting beside him. Ash smiles feebly.
“Of course I am…I must have scared you right?”
“Why didn’t you say anything?” Finn asked.
“Because I was scared. It might be something too big for me to handle”
“So you think keeping quiet is the best? This is not only about you”
“I’m sorry. I know you guys must be angry at me. I was gonna tell you…after the album release though”
“And what if something had happened to you before then! Do you even care about us?” Bin chided.
“I’m sorry…it’s all my fault” He lowered his head sadly. Bin sighs frustrated.
“It’s okay guys..this isn’t the time to be lambasting him. I talked to the doctor already…he said he needs to get a surgery…the tumor hasn’t grown that big so there’s hope…he can be healed completely” PM announced.
“Really? Then you should get it right away. When is the surgery Pm?” Addison asked.
“I…I don’t wanna have the surgery” Ash announce shocking them.
“What?”
“The album release is around the corner…how can I..”
“Is that important right now? Your life is at stake!” Bin pointed getting pissed off.
“I know but…what if something goes wrong? What if…I” He shook his head.
“You heard what PM said. The tumor hasn’t grown big…you will be completely healed after the surgery.”
“Yeah Ash…you should care about your life first. I can’t afford to lose you. Let’s go for the surgery uh?” PM urge.
“What about the album release then? It’s only in a few days. Can’t I get the surgery after it? I promise I can hold on till then. I’ve been doing just fine right?”
“You’re getting the surgery Ash…that’s final” Bin affirms.
“I support that also. You can still perform after the surgery goes well…and even if you are not fully okay to perform…PM can always move the date forward…right PM?” Finn face the PM
“Sure…of course. We can’t do anything without our drummer. I’ll go see the doctor. Don’t worry kid you’ll be fine” PM pats him before excusing them. Ash sighs.
“Will I really be okay?”
“Don’t be negative Ash…you’ll surely get through this” Addison assured holding his hands.
“Thank you newbie..”He smiles.
“Ah! Bin don’t get mad at Newbie…I told him to keep mute about it. It’s not his fault. Finn I hope you guys don’t hate him for this” Ash said.
“It’s okay…let’s just focus on you getting well” Fin Said.
“I’m gonna go see PM…rest” Robin said standing up.
“I love you Bin!!” Ash said after him as he left the ward.
“He must be really angry at me” He muttered.
“He’ll come around” Finn said.
“I understand…I must have hurt him a lot. Of all people I shouldn’t have done that. I should have told him. I knew how hurt he’d be but still kept it away” Ash said.
“He may look cool outside but we all know he isn’t okay inside. I can’t imagine the hell he’ll go through if something were to happen to me too. If not for anything…I should stay alive for him at least. I shouldn’t repeat what Rush did” He added.
“You guys must be really close…seeing how much you care” Addison said.
“Bin and Rush are someone we’re forever indebted to. If not for them…we probably wouldn’t be here right now” Finn said.
“I did heard they brought you into this band…Ash is that the case for you too? How did you guys meet?”
“They’re actually someone I owned my life to. I can still remember back then when we met in Russia”
“Russia?”
“Huh…I used to live in Russia…before they brought me here and gave me this new life I’m living now.”
“I guess you’re finally telling me your story” She grins.
Ash smiles.
“I told you I’ll tell you everything one day”
“I’m excited”
“I…used to be a street bum. I spend literally all.my life in the streets”
“What?”
“Surprised?” Ash smiles.
“Then I go by the name Eli…Elijah actually. I know not who my parents are…the only person I know as family…my Uncle kicked the bucket when I was thirteen leaving me to deal with this cruel world alone. Having no one I started mingling with the neighborhood kids. Together we roam around looking for what to make us live. We pick trashes, steal and even run errands just to fill our stomach. To the society we weren’t human…we’re more like trashes to be disposed so no one cared about us. I was even once lucky to evade been a victim to child trafficking.. ”
“What?”
“Like I said I was lucky. To cut the long story short…I grew up stealing from people, pick pocketing to make a living. This I do for years until that very day when I met them. They had actually came for a concert I think right Finn?”
“Yeah…I wasn’t feeling well so I went to the hotel to rest after the concert and those two went out on a tour then” Finn replied.
“So that night happened to be one of those dreadful nights that I became tired of living. I lost a close friend of mine, I was wanted by mean people which I narrowly escaped from after getting stabbed. I was actually tired of everything life seems meaningless and hopeless..I didn’t even know what I was living for. So I wanted to end everything. So I went up to one of the highest skyscraper to probably jump off and burst my f**king brain but then those two appeared like you know superman.” He paused and chuckles.
“In a nutshell they encourage me, made me see life in a different view, preach and blabber on so many things and eventually their words melted my heart and gave me a glimmer of hope. So they helped .e found a new me. gave me a new identity, new dream and new life. So here I am today. Alive and living well thanks to my superheroes”
“So that was it”
“They gave me a reason to live again and they also became my reason for living. They’re my life, my family and everything I’ve got in this world. I practically love them more than I love myself. During the few years we’ve spent together. We’ve shared our pains our grief and our joy together. We become each other hope and strength. We practically become one. That’s why no matter what we go through…we promised never to leave each other and always look out for one another. Rush’s sudden disappearance caused a major setback and mental breakdown for us all especially Robin. He was the most affected. Though he acts okay…I know…he isn’t fine. He has always sacrificed himself for the betterment of us all. Though it hurts him, He never talks of his pains just not to burden others. I can see it in him whenever he’s hurt…Rush hurts him. And I can’t believe right now…I’m also hurting him just the same” He finished.
“It must have been hard…on you all”Addison muttered.
“My story is pathetic right? No one had it easy…we all have our worries we carry as burden”
“Ash…I think I…I need to go” She stood up.
“Hey where are you going?”
“To make things right. See you later. And thanks for telling me all these” She said in a rush dashing out of the ward.
“What’s with him suddenly?” Ash faced Finn but instead of answering, he also stood up and rushed out of the room.
“Where are they all going!”

Addison ran out of the hospital dialing Robin’s line but he won’t pick.
“Ugh! Pick up! Pick up” She groaned dialing his number again.
“Hello” His voice finally boomed out from the other end earning her a relief sigh.
“Thank goodness you finally picked up Robin…”
“Addison?”
“Robin…where are you right now? We…no I need to talk to you urgently. Tell me where you are and I’ll come over right away” She rushed out in a breath.
“Home” His reply came short.
“Wait for me! I’m coming right over!” She ends the call before he could say anything else then proceed to leave but then a voice stopped her.
“Finn?” She muttered looking back to the voice who called her.
Finn stopped in front of her breathlessly.
“Finn…did you ran after me?” She quizzed surprised.
“Addie…” He stepped closer holding her shoulder.
“What…is the matter Finn?”
“Must you….must you go?”
“Finn?”
“I…i tried to pretend to be okay but I couldn’t do it. I just can’t bear the pain of losing you to someone else Addie. Please can’t you just stay with me instead? I promise to treat you better. I promise to love you better. I promise to…I promise to be better Addie. I love you so much” He said intensely staring at her with eyes full of emotions.
“Please…love me too Addie. I love you so damn much” He said resting his forehead on hers. Addison stood stagnant not knowing his to respond to his sudden outbursts.
“Finn I…”
“Tell me to wait…tell me to wait for you. Tell me to wait for you to love me also. I’ll gladly do it. So please tell me…” He muttered. Addison swallowed nothing and stepped away from him slowly.
“I don’t want to hurt you Finn…don’t wait for me” She said and turns running away from him leaving him in his misery.
“Eventually…you ended up hurting me…again” He muttered with tears trickling down his cheek.

Addison rushed inside the house panting heavily. Her face lightened immediately she saw him in the kitchen. His back was facing her but he wasn’t alone. In front of him is Viola.
She frowns a bit. What was she doing together with him? She thought.
Nevertheless, she decided to shrugged it off. She came there for Bin not her and even seeing her wouldn’t stop her.
Opening her mouth to call his attention, her words had to hang in her throat when Bin suddenly did the unthinkable. Right in front of her, Bin pulled Viola closer to him and smashed his lips on hers.
No, She’s probably seeing things.
No way…why would Robin…?
Is she really seeing things?
That is not her Robin is he?
Addison’s throat dried up as she watch the torturous scene in front of her.
“Robin…” She called in the most heartbreaking voice ever. Robin pulled away on hearing her voice. He snap his head back and his eyes widened as he gaze landed on her.
Tears cascaded her eyes instantly, her palms fisted and she could feel her heart wrenching.
“Robin…” She called again with shaky voice.
