CHAPTER 45 & 46
✧ HEARTBEATS ✧
“Newbie!!” Ash ran to Bin immediately he came in with Addison on his back.
“What happened to him?” He asked worried.
“He fainted after the performance”
“What? Why? Is he sick?”
“It must be stage fright…it’s nothing serious”
“But Bin when did you come back? How come you brought him home?”
“I’ll take him upstairs” Bin smiled ignoring Ash’s question.
He had actually heard about the sudden performance from Jia earlier after he arrived from the airport. And without wasting much time, he had ran over to her knowing she really need help wherever she might be.
The door opens from within before he could even open it and Finn came out of the room.
“Why are you coming out from there?” Bin furrows his brow
“Addison!” Finn quickly went behind him checking the unconscious Addison on his back.
“What happened to her? What did you do!”
“What could I have possibly done? Move” Bin nudge him going inside the room. Finn followed suit. Immediately Bin dropped her on the bed, Finn went closer almost pushing Bin away. Bin scoffs tucking his hands in his pockets. Finn placed his palm on her forehead gently to feel her temperature. She wasn’t running a fever or anything which made him sigh in relief. He covered her properly with the quilt then watch her as she sleep.
“If you’re done you can leave now” Bind’s voice came behind him.
“I’ll stay around to look over her.” Finn replied.
“You don’t need to worry I can do that”
“No…I will. I’ll take care of her” Finn countered.
“Seems you’re forgetting something but first, I brought her here unconscious which means she’s my responsibility. Second this is my room and I don’t welcome you staying long”
“Then I’ll take her to my room” Finn said curtly.
“This is her room also so why would you?” He paused before continuing.
“Third, are you guys dating already?” He quizzed.
“What?”
“I don’t think so. So stop acting like you have some kind of dominion over her or something”
“That’s between us”
“Whenever she’s already yours then you can do whatever you want with her. Then I won’t have any reason to stop you from doing so. So for now please leave” Bin said as calmly as he could
“I_”
“For now…she’s mine to take care of and I’ll do just just that so you don’t have to worry. I’ll let you know when she wakes up” Bin finalized sternly. Finn gave him a long look before finally backing away.
“I’ll come back later” He said leaving the room. Bin took his eyes to Addison on the bed and sighs.
HOSPITAL
“Stop crying already…I’m okay” The guy lying on the bed said to Melissa who was holding his hand tightly sobbing silently at the same time.
“It’s because I’m so happy…you don’t know how I’ve been awaiting this day brother…” Mel replied with a broken voice.
“You don’t look so well…what have you been doing?”
“Taking care of you. Brother now that you’ve woken up let’s just leave once you’ve recovered. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you anymore”
“Don’t worry…nothing will happen to me. I’ll be fine” He gave her a feeble smile.
“Brother…”
“What..”
“I…lost the hairband. I’m sorry”
“It’s okay bumpkin…it happens”
“You’re not mad?”
“When I get out of this place…I promise to get you a pretty one”
“Brother…” She hugged him on the bed.
“Sorry for keeping you waiting…I’m sorry Mel” he mumbles while Melissa just sniffs in his arms.
DAY AFTER
Addison’s eyes squinted. She opens her eyes slowly and it raked through the atmosphere.
“Ugh!” She brought her hand to her forehead removing the towel placed there then she sat up slowly looking around the room and her eyes caught a food flask on the desk just beside the bed. Her stomach grumble immediately and she swallowed nothing taking the flask. She opens the flask and picked the spoon beside it. Without wasting time, she began scooping in the porridge in the flask. Robin came out of the bathroom not long after. Her head snapped towards him and she halted in her motion of inserting the spoonful of porridge in her mouth. Her eyes raked him. Water was dribbling down his face gently and his hair was sprawl all over his face also giving him the perfect tempting look.
“Was it hunger that woke you up or what? You took the food the moment you opened your eyes” He said walking towards her without bothering to clean his wet face.
Robin Sat on the bed beside her and place his palm on her forehead.
“Seems you’re okay now” He nodded withdrawing his palm.
“Continue eating…you look quite ravenous” He said to her. Addison said nothing and just continue eating rather awkwardly while he stares at her also as she did. Moments later, she dropped the flask on the desk together with the spoon.
“Wow…you finished everything”
“Thanks for the food” She muttered.
“That should be directed to Finn. He made it. He was quite worried also. He won’t let me be.. I felt like a doctor being pestered to say a dying girlfriend of his so frustrating”He mumbles looking away.
She looked at him silently for almost a minute and a faint smile splayed on her lips. Her face looking pale.
“How long have I been unconscious?” She asked.
“A whole day”
“What? I…I slept that long?” She asked wide eyed. He snickers.
“Apparently you did.”
She sighs.
“What really happened?” Bin asked.
“It was sudden. I wasn’t expecting it either”
“It must have been tough facing them all”
“It was…I was even on the brink of giving up. But then you showed up and I eventually did it. It all thanks to you Robin” She smiles while he says nothing. Then slowly she brought her palm to his face rubbing it softly.
“What would have I done without you?” She mumbles getting lost in her own emotions.
Her eyes darted to his wet reddish lips. Once again she felt tempted to taste it.
“Addison!” He snaps his fingers at her face jerking her out of her reverie.
“Uh?” She answered sharply. Robin raised a brow at her and she quickly withdrew her palm.
“Sorry i_” She looked down on her hands.
He smiled warmly.
“I could have killed you if you had f**ked up earlier”
“I’m glad I didn’t” Shelooks back at him only to meet his smiling face.
Her temptation finally overwhelmed her. Before he knew it, she leans closer and places her lips on his. But immediately she did, she withdrew looking at him in shock. Her eyeballs danced around their sockets and she released a light gasp.
He looked shocked also but he was quick to cover it up.
“Why? Are you gonna slap me again?”
“I…sh*t!” She su-ck on her lower lip. Cussing herself mentally.
“Do you like kissing me that much?”
“Uh?”
“At the karaoke also…you did it remember? You always go for my lips at every chances you get. Why is that?” He asked but she kept mute not finding the right word to give as an answer
“Am I just to watch you do that everytime?”
“I…I won’t do it again” She played with her fingers
“You won’t? How can I trust you? You…always act on impulse and always catch me unexpected”
“I promise I really won’t anymore”
“You really won’t?”
“Uh…even if I want it badly and crazily. I promise to hold myself back” She replied slowly. He smirks and that slowly dissolve into snickering.
Addison looks at him.
“You…you’re one funny being.” He ruffles her head then stood up.
“Get ready…we’re heading out soon” He said then continue snickering as he went out. Addison bit her lips slapping herself mentally.
“You’re a f**king dimwit!!”
NB ENTERTAINMENT. (TRAINING ROOM)
“What are you doing?” Ash asked Addison who was positioning her phone well at an angle.
“Are you gonna film us dance?” He crooked his brow.
“Huh” She replied.
“All done” She smiles stepping back.
“Hey you know this is not accepted. You can’t do it”
“I can’t?”
“Why? What’s going on?” Finn asked joining them.
“He’s making a video coverage of us. I’m telling him he can’t do that” Ash said to Finn.
“Must you do it?” Finn asked.
“Umm…I was just gonna watch it alone later so it could help me. You know I’m struggling” Addison replied.
“Don’t worry I’m ain’t gonna show anybody. It’s just for my eyes only. I also know how these things go” She added.
“Then you have to be careful. Things wouldn’t be good if it were to get leaked out”
“Don’t worry. I promise”
“Come on Ash” Finn pats him.
“Alright…just be careful” Ash said also.
“Thanks…let’s go practice”

The dance practice lasted for two hours. All slumped to the floor the moment they’re done.
“Ugh! That was hectic!” Ash pants heavily.
Addison went to her phone and took it. She smiles to herself saving the video.
“Did you get it all?” Finn asked behind her.
“Ohh I did” She smiled.
“You know if you’re finding anything hard you can just let me know. I’m always available”
“Sure…I’ll keep that in mind”
“How are you feeling now?”
“Better”
“I was really worried”
“Thanks for the porridge…I enjoyed it”
“Sure…anything for you” He tweak her nose.
“You should go change…we’re leaving soon”
“Yeah…will be back” She scamper out of the room.
“Yo!” Ash appeared behind Finn throwing his arms around him.
“How about we shower together? Uh?” He wiggle his brows.
“Uhh…before that how about getting something to drink first?”
“Um…no I stink let’s just_”
“We can always do that later…let’s get something to drink first” Finn smiles dragging him away.
“Bin ain’t you joining us?”
“You guys go ahead…I’ll catch up” He replied. Ash nodded and left with Finn.
RESTROOM.
Addison was damping her face with water when he door opens and Bin came in.
“Bin?” She called looking at him.
“What” He replied rather blankly moving towards her.
“Ohh…nothing” She took her eyes away.
He also wash his face his face. Addison stood watching him as he did. When done, he faces her, his face dripping wet. She actually went out of her senses drooling. Then he stepped closer. She moved back…he stepped closer again their eyes locked.
“Wh…why?” She blinked staring at him.
“What do you mean why?” He asked leaning closer. By this time she couldn’t more again since she’s already trapped. She leans back as he leaned closer to her.
“Wha…what is it?” She shuttered, her face growing red. Then his hand came forward…it was coming to her face initially but then he diverted it up and took a towel.
“This?” He showed her the towel.
“Ohh…that” She bit her lower lip looking away. Then he smirks.
“What did you thought it was? Let me guess… A kiss?”He asked and as he threw her gaze back to him
“What?? I…I never said anything!” She snapped blinking at the same time. He smiles.
“Your eyes says it all”
She scoffs.
“Go away” She places her palm on his chest nudging him away but he didn’t budge. She pushes him again and he didn’t move an inch. She looks back at him creasing her brows.
“You look upset? Why? Is it because I caught you?”
“Stop saying nonsense and just move”
He leans more close making her palm press on his chest.
“Don’t be a dirty minded blobfish…be good” He poked her forehead and she twisted her face.
“Stop teasing me…just go away”
“Am I?” He smiles at her. Their faces super close that their foreheads were almost meeting. Addison couldn’t say a thing back. She only stares at his beautiful smile which melted her heart. Her legs felt started shaking and she took her eyes down with her face turning red. Her eyes landed on his chest and she spread her palm wide on his chest feeling his rapid heart beats.
“Your heart…is beating fast again” She mumbles
“It has always been beating fast…”
“Why?” She looks back at him.
“Because it recognizes you”
“Uh?”
“My heart recognizes you…Addison” He replied interlocking his eyes with hers. Addison stood stagnant not knowing what to say. Her hand remained on his chest also. She could also feel her own heart ready to jump out any minute.
The door went open suddenly interrupting them. They both snapped their heads to it and immediately Addison pushes him away from her.
“What are you guys doing?” Viola frowns looking questionably at them.
“What are you doing here? This is the male restroom” Bin said walking towards her.
“You wouldn’t come out and I was impatient. I thought maybe you got flooded away or something. But what were you guys doing?” She looked over to Addison who quickly hid her flushed face.
“Nothing…come out” Bin took her out and Viola gave Addison a suspicious glance before leaving.
Addison breathes out holding her cheeks.
“I almost did something crazy again” She mumbles fanning herself.
“I could have been in a huge trouble”

“You seems quite close with the new member?”.Viola asked as they walked
“What do you want?”
“How’s he? He must be good for you to have been friends with him already”
“I’m leaving if you have nothing else to say”
“Alright. Robin…how about we have dinner together?”
“Is this part of the act?”
“No. I just want to have dinner with you. What do you say?”
“Send me the address”
“At my house. Tonight”
“I don’t_”
“Don’t worry. I’ve got everything under control”
“See you later then” He said and walked away. Viola smiled to herself.
STARRBOYZ APARTMENT.
“Why isn’t he coming back?” Addison mumbles rolling on the couch.
She released another sighs and sat up. She picked up her phone and checked the time. 10: 08 PM
“Whatever…why do I care?” She threw her phone on the desk and lay down back. Her phone buzzed and she sprang back up checking it.
???? I’ll be waiting by the pool ???? it was a text from Finn.
She sighs and dropped her phone.
POOL.
“Finn…” Addison called slowly as she got to the pool.
Finn looks back to her and smiles.
“You’re here”
“What’s up?”
He went closer and pulled her into his embrace.
“I just missed you” He said
Addison sighs inwardly. She knows clearly well he must want his answer.
“Finn…I have something to tell you” He withdrew and look at her.
“What’s it?” He smiles.
“Please don’t smile…it’s making it harder for me to say” She mumbles.
She closed her eyes and exhales deeply.
“About your answer…”
“Yeah…have you thought about it? Gosh…I’m suddenly feeling excited”
“I can’t say yes Finn” She finally said. He kept silent for a while. But then smiles.
“I understand…you must be unsure of doing it”
“No I…I ” She bit her lips.
“It’s not because I’m unsure but…I just can’t do it with you. ”
“Addie…”
“I’m sorry but the feelings I developed for you isn’t the same as yours. I was confused until now but I’ve finally realized it…who my heart really beats for. Our feelings don’t match Finn cause my heart beats for someone else”
“He doesn’t even feel the same! He has a f**king girlfriend which you surely know yourself!!”
She looks shocked for a while. How do he know she was talking about Bin?
“Addie…” He called holding her.
“No you’re wrong Finn. It is just a show. The real lady in the pictures was me. He’s just doing that…to cover up for me.”
“What?”
“What you failed to see…he saw everything Finn. I don’t know but I think that’s what drawn me to him”
“What the hell are you saying? Addie…I’ve always liked and support you”
“Do you even care to know anything about me? The reason I’m here, why am doing all these…if I’m hurting…you never cared to ask me those. If you’re really my soulmate like you said, then I wouldn’t just complete you. You’ll complete me also. Just like you’re hurting for your sister…I am also hurting cause of my brother…but you failed to see that. We all have our worries…you didn’t care to ask about mine”
“Addi_”
“Think about it Finn…am I at fault here?” She completed and he said nothing. Then she turns slowly leaving again. However, Finn rushes to her hugging her from behind. She gasped.
“I’m…I’m sorry. You’re right…I’ve been inattentive..I’m a jerk who only cares about himself. I haven’t paid much attention to you..I’ve realized my mistake now Addie so please…forgive me please..I don’t wanna lose you”
“You won’t lose me Finn. Cause I won’t ever leave your side” she replied, he hugged her more tightly.
“But Finn, Having a soulmate isn’t always about love. You can find your soulmate in friendship too”
“I don’t want that…I want your heart..please Addie…don’t do this to me. I promise to be better…I’ll always look out for you. Give you a shoulder to cry on. Be the hankie which wipes away your tears…be the reason for your smile. I’ll always be here to listen to you so please stay.If you leave me too…then what am I to do? All I did was to love you…do you really have to break me like this?”
“Finn…”
“Please…don’t break me Addison. Don’t…”A tear slipped down his eyes. Addison held his hands spinning around. Hurting him breaks her heart but seeing his tears breaks her more.
She slowly wiped it off and smiles.
“I’m sorry…” Her broken voice said shattering him more.
“I’m so sorry Finn” She dipped her hand in her pocket and brought out the little box placing it in his hands.
“But I can’t take this”
“Ad_” Before he could finish, she turns and ran out of there.
Finn looks at the box in his hand and more tears fell.
“Must you do this…must you really do this to me…Addison?”
