CHAPTER 33 & 34

His lips curved as he watch her shut her eyes tightly.
He smirks then lean closer to her ears.
“Why are you closing your eyes…are you expecting something?” He whispers And instantly her eyes flew open.
“Wha…what do you mean?” She blinked
“You know what I mean…what dirty thought are you harboring in your mind blob fish?”
“Dirty what?” She scoffs.
“Get off me”
“I thought you prefer staying like this…isn’t that why you closed your eyes? Because you were expec_” Her right leg went up and it ran In between his legs before he could finish speaking.
“Ow!!” His eyes went big and he fell on the bed beside her groaning in pain.
“You shouldn’t have tested me…sh*t” She sprang up and ran into the bathroom.
“I swear I’m gonna kill you heartless blobfish…” He seethed.
Immediately Addison got into the bathroom, she sprinkled water on her face panting at the same time.
“Rubbish hammerhead bat…who does he thinks he is?” She mutters looking at her reflection in the mirror.
Finn’s words replayed in her mind and she brought her hand forward writing the word ‘soulmate’ on the mirror.
“Argh! I’m going crazy seriously!!” She ruffles her hair in exasperation.
NEXT DAY. HOUSTON (COUNTRY SIDE)
After some hours drive, the car finally stopped in front of a white beautiful barn house.
“We’re here” Came Bin’s voice.
“Finally!!” Addison squealed jumping out of the car exuberantly. She swirls spreading her arms wide in the air.
“Hmm…” She blames breathing in. Finn, Bin and Ash also got down.
Ash moved to the boot getting their luggage while Bin just head inside straight.
“Is this where we are staying?” Addison pointed to the barn house.
“Um…beautiful right?” Finn smiles and she nodded gleefully.
“Omg I can’t wait!!!” She rushed inside the house enthusiastically.
“Finn…help me out!!” Ash requested. Finn stopped in his attempt to follow Addison and went to Ash.
“Wow” Addison wowed as she got inside the house looking around.
“Bin is this_” Her speech got hanged in her throat the moment she face her front only to see Bin hugging someone. She stood on her spot waiting to see the person’s face and was surprised when the person disengage from the hug. It was Viola.
“You didn’t tell me you were going to be here” Bin asked her.
“I told PM not to mention it. Come on you don’t expect me not to be here we come here together every year don’t we?” She said back. Finn and Ash also came in and was surprised to see her.
“Hi guys” She smiles walking towards them.
“When did you arrived?” Ash asked his brow constructing an arch.
“Yesterday…I was waiting for you guys”
“I should have known” Ash muttered.
“Hi…” Viola waves at Addison snapping her out of her thoughts.
“Ohh…Hi” She greeted back.
“You’re the new member right…we’ve met before but I don’t think we’ve had a chance to talk” She smiles
“Ohh…yeah” Addison nodded awkwardly.
“I’m Viola_”
“Robin’s girlfriend…a popular model I know” Addison interrupted her. Robin frowns where he stood while Viola smiles.
“Newbie stop talking and help me out…” Finn called her attention.
“Ex…cuse me” Addison gave Robin cursory look before following Finn out.

Finn had his eyes closed while Ash smiled at Addison who wouldn’t stop admiring the environment.
They are currently on their way to the town with Robin driving. Viola is sitting at the front with him while the rest are at the back.
“This is sooo cool” Addison gushed sticking her head outside from the car window.
She grinned looking at some horses on the field and even waved at some of the people they came across from the car.
“Put your head back in…stop behaving childish” Robin chastised and she pouted putting her head back in.
“Can you at least play some music, the drive is so boring duh” She requested but Robin ignored her.
“Stupid bat” She muttered rolling her eyes and Ash chuckled at her cuteness.
‘Robbery by Juice Wrld’ boomed out suddenly and Addison looks forward. It was actually Viola that played the song.
“You like that?” Viola looked back at her smiling and she nodded slowly.
“Thanks…” She muttered.
“Why would you do that?” Robin frowns at Viola.
“Come on…it just a song” Viola hits him playfully. Addison scoffs looking away.
????…and nobody gets hurt, now I’m running from her love I’m not fast…???? She sang after the song.
Ash held his left ear, squeezing his face as she sang loudly beside him. He just wished she could stop singing for a moment.
TOWN.
“WOW…this place is really beautiful. But do we really have to go around like this?” She asked Ash referring to the face cap and face mask they are putting on but got no answer.
“Ash?” She called again but he didn’t respond.
“Are you listening?” Addison waved her hands in front of him getting his attention.
“Did you say something?” He asked rather loudly like he was in a noisy place.
Addison crooked her brow.
“You didn’t have to speak so loud…what’s with you seriously…” Addison muttered but he just smiles.
“What are you thinking? You ain’t even listening”
“If you wanna spend your time in peace then you have no choice but to. You wouldn’t want someone recognizing you trust me” Finn replied her instead.
“It’s hard being a star” She sighs.
“Come on…we should explore the town” Finn held her hand taking her away while others follows except Ash who stood on the same spot he was.
“Sh*t!” Ash itch his left ear before joining them.

Ash and Finn took turns dragging her from one place to another. Bin on the other hand spends most of his time with Viola who wouldn’t leave him alone.
Addison spots some people gathered, and there was a man seated playing song with his guitar. Her eyes lit and she ran towards there signaling for the guys to join her also.
“Ain’t you coming?” Bin asked Ash who wouldn’t make a move from where he stood.
“Um…you guys should go ahead…I’m just gonna get something real quick” He replied.
“Let’s go” Viola linked hands with Robin taking him to the crowd gathered.
“Should we sing also? I think it’ll be cool” Addison opined watching the man sing with utmost ecstasy.
“Don’t you dare” Bin glared and she pouted.
“Come on Bin don’t be mean she was just expressing her opinion” Viola nudge Robin.
“Well he shouldn’t cause we ain’t here for that” Bin retort while Addison huffed rolling her eyes.
????….even though I try to forget about you…even if you have eyes for someone else…my days would probably continue be filled with you so as my memories and I’ll be right here…waiting,…hoping one day you will see me…???? The man continues singing and Addison finds herself getting immersed with the song.
She would steal glances at Bin and Viola who are glued together once in a while while throughout Finn’s gaze was on her.
As the man sings people drop money in an open bag in front of him.

“We should get going now…I think we’ve done enough for the day” Bin said.
“I agree…I’m kinda tired also” Addison chipped in.
“Before we go…can you guys wait for some minutes? I need to use the restroom urgently” Finn requested.
“Hold it till we get back.”
“Come on he said urgently…Finn don’t worry we’ll wait” Addison said.
“I’ll be back in a jiffy” He stroke her hair before leaving.
Robin made to say something but Addison got into the car before he could.
Robin scoffs.

Finn entered the mall and look around. He had a face mask and a face cap on. His eyes landed on a particular place and he smiles. Just what he’s looking for. He walks over the female dress section and the attendants welcomed him warmly. His eyes began scrutinizing every dresses displayed there.
“Can I help you with anything customer?” One of the attendant beamed at him.
“No…I’ll look around first” He replied taking his time to look around the store.
Minutes later.
Finn walked out of the mall holding two bags with a satisfying grin on. Just as he was about taking a step, his phone started ringing. He halted in initial attempt and brought out his phone from his pocket.
“Yeah” He mumbles after picking up the call.
“Where are you man? Where the f**k did you go!” Bin’s voice came at the other end.
“Will be there soon…wait for me” He ended the call then exhales before walking away but then bumped into someone. It was a little girl about eight or ten years old. Her hair was messy and she looked kinda dirty.
“Little girl are you okay?” He asked after helping her up. But she said nothing just stared back at him.
“Where is your Mom? Are you lost?” He asked again.
“Do you have a girlfriend? Or someone you love?” The little girl asked rather surprising him.
“Uh?”
“Do you have a girlfriend or someone you love?” The little girl repeated.
“Umm…maybe” He hesitated before answering.
“Do you wish to put a smile on her face?”
“Yes…I do” He chuckled.
“How about giving her a gift to make her happy?”
“Gift?” He asked. Instead of replying, the little girl took his hand and took him to a particular place.
“Rosa?” A lady in her mid thirty called as soon as the girl appeared with Finn. She had this pale look on.
“Give him something to make his girlfriend happy Mama” The little girl said to her mother with a blank expression on.
“Oh…welcome sir what exactly would you like?” The lady quickly asked with a feeble smile gesturing to the accessories placed on a table.
Finn looked at the accessories keenly. Beads, Bangles, Necklaces, Jade rings, Bracelets and even Anklets are all there. Most of them looked old and their beauty faded already.
“How about this?” The lady took a green jade ring and showed it to him since he wouldn’t pick anything.
“It’s called the Lovers jade ring…the perfect ring to give to your partner” The lady grins gleefully.
“Lovers?” He muttered.He looks at it for a while and sighs.
“No thanks” He smiles and turned to leave but the girl held him back by his trouser.
“Please patronize us…” She asked with a puppy face making Finn sighs.
“Mama…” The girl called and the lady quickly rummage through her things bringing out a necklace and hairpin.
The little girl collected them and showed it to Finn.
“This is the soulmate hairpin and this is the love bond bracelet…you’ll never find things like this anywhere else”
“Soulmate hairpin?” He asked and the little girl nodded.
“You don’t like that either?” She asked in her tiny cute voice. Finn smiles.
“How much is it?”

“Where have you been? We’ve been waiting for almost forty minutes” Ash chided immediately Finn appeared.
“Sorry…had something to do” He smiled.
“Did you go shopping? What are those?” Viola pointed to the bags in his hands.
“Ohh…it’s nothing.” He hid the bags behind him clearing his throat. Robin gave him a suspicious look.
“We should get going now…get in” He said getting into the car. Finn sighs entering the the car also and was surprised to find Addison already asleep.
He smiles and sat beside her resting her head on his shoulder. Ash got in also putting his headphones over his ears. Viola got to the front seat and yawns while Robin ignite the engine.
The ride back was awfully silent. No one uttered a word till they got back.
“I’m going to sleep good night guys” Viola waves at them going inside immediately they all got inside.
“You must be tired” Finn said to Addison who wouldn’t stop yawning.
“Ohh…I guess so…” She smiles.
“Wait here…I’m gonna make you some coffee after dropping this” He pats her hair then walked to his room.
Addison sighs and slump on the couch. She suddenly heard a whistle and look back to where it’s coming from.
“Ash?” She muttered looking at him who was at the window gesturing for her to come outside.
LATER.
“Are we not there yet?” Addison asked impatiently for the fourth time as Ash took her to God knows where after getting her eyes blindfolded.
“Gosh how impatient can you be uh?”
“We’ve been walking for almost five minutes now, what are you planning to show me?”
“Something grand” Ash stopped after arriving at a spacious spot.
“Finally” She breathes out, he let out a throaty chuckle.
He brought his hands towards her face and unwrapped the blindfold.
Addison eyes squinted, she opens her eyes slowly and took in the environment they are in.
“Whoaaa!!!” She mouthed looking around.
“Whoaa! Oh my God Ash!! Are these really what I’m thinking?”
“It’s beautiful isn’t it?”
“FIREFLIES!! this is sooooo beautiful” She gushed circling around, gaping at the wonderful view that surround her.
Ash stood on a spot with a beautiful smile plastered on his face watching her as she innoxiously chased after the fireflies trying to catch them.
“Ash!!” She ran over to him, taking his hand. Together they ran around, swirling and giggling nonstop.
After a while…
“Argh!!” Addison sprawl on the ground looking at the beautiful night sky. The fireflies swarming beautifully around them with their lights glowing.
She brought her hand forward and caught a firefly.
She then turns to Ash who was also sprawled beside her and release the firefly giggling. She was about putting her hands down but Ash caught it before she could. She raised a brow and he smiles at her. She smiles also but that disappears the moment he placed her palm on his accelerating heart. She looks at him without saying anything probably waiting for him to explain the reason behind his sudden action.
“What can you notice?” He asked slowly.
“Uh?”
“My heart…what can you say about it?”
“Its…beating” She twitch.
“Are you okay Ash?” She questioned.
“My heart is beating fast…faster than normal…isn’t it?”
“Ohh…it seems so” She made to withdrew her hand but he held it tightly.
“Ash is something wrong?” She asked again but instead of answering, he shifted closer to her. She blinked.
“You’re acting strange” She chuckled awkwardly.
“My heart beats faster than normal everytime I’m with you like this”
“Uh?”
“It’s weird and crazy…probably absurd but Newbie I can’t continue to deny it. I don’t want to turn a blind eye to it any longer. Even if it seems stupid and strange I’ve decided to accept it. Aiden I’ve come to know why this happens whenever I’m with you. I’ve come to realize why my heart throbs everytime I’m with you. I’ve come to realize why I go crazy and have this excited feelings whenever I spend time with you. I’ve come to realize that I_”
“Stop!” She impeded his speech before he could finish. Forceful, she pulled her hand away from his grip and sat up.
“Umm…haven’t we had enough fun? It’s getting pretty late…we should head back now” She rubs her neck standing up. He stood also.
“Aiden wait!” He held her hand.
“I brought you here for a reason…and I’m yet to tell you. Can you give me a minute? I think I really need to make my feelings clear to you” He held both her palms now rubbing it slowly.
“Aiden i_”
“Ash…let’s go back please”
“Why won’t you let me say it? I think you already know where I’m heading to”
“Ash…”
“Please let’s not make this awkward…you’re a good person” she said.
“I like you. I’ve fallen in love with you Aiden” He confessed.
“Ash…”
“Oh my, it’s already awkward. I made it awkward” He smiles while she sighs.
Ash stepped forward and held her face.
He started leaning closer while she gasped lightly.
Just before their lips could meet, she stepped back blinking repeatedly.
“I’m…I’m sorry Ash!” She spurted out before running out of there leaving him.
Ash watch her runs away from there with heavy heart the he smiled feebly.
“I knew it’ll end up like this…just can’t believe it’ll hurt this much” He muttered sadly.
