“Your….your….your ring Louis,it has changed, it’s blue” Luther said
Louis stared at his hands and when he saw the ring had changed he stared at his two friends in shock
“Your prospective bride is some where Louis, finally, you have found her!”Liam said still starring at the ring……….

Louis couldn’t believe that this is happening, finally the ring have finally changed its colour.
This is what he has been waiting for years now and now that it has change he feels a bit relieved and angry. Relieved that he can be free from his fathe’sr haras-sment and angry that some where in this school, his prospective bride is there.some one he hasn’t seen before, would she be ugly?would she be beautiful,this thought kept filling his head.
“Common on Louis,let’s find her already”luther said pulling him away from the window.
“Wait! For years now, my ring hasn’t change its colour and suddenly it does don’t you think it’s weird”Louis asked
“What I find weird is that when new students arrived today, your ring finally changed ,could it be that it’s the new student “Liam asked softly
“New student? A new student arrived today?”Louis asked
“Yes, two in fact, could one of them be your prospective bride?” Luther asked
“I don’t know but one thing is sure,I have to confirm, do you know this new student?”Louis asked
“I will make an enquiry now” liam replied , bringing out his phone to get more info
“Finally….. finally the great crown prince have found his bride, I just hope…..no no no….I pray that she turns out ugly like ours ” Luther said dramatically and in return ,he received a slap on the back of his head from Louis.

Sharon stood in the rest room washing her hand. so far the day has been going great.
There were some clas-ses and teachers she found weird at first but then she thought it normal and continued with schooling for that day.
Mary had been a great companion,pointing out places for her and touring her around the school and now it was lunch time and Mary was still at the cafeteria.
Quickly she wore back the Br@celet given to her by her friend grand mother.
Sharon began to head back to the cafeteria,she got there to see Mary and a girl sitted there.
“Come over here Sharon”Mary said pulling Sharon to a seat.
“Who is she ?”Sharon asked softly
“She is Nina, she also started today with you”Mary explained
“Hello Nina!”Sharon greeted. At least though she is being treated as an invincible by the rest, she is glad that Mary is her friend and if Nina chooses to be her friend then her last days at school won’t be that bad or boring.
“Why don’t you tell us about your self Nina”Mary asked and the girl smiled shyly
“I really dont have much to say, am not the….how should I put it, am not the talking type”She said using her ring hand to push back her hair.
“Your ring! Have you know who it is?”Mary asked
“I haven’t, you see it just change its colour today”Nina replied shyly again.
Sharon have been wondering what the ring was all about, most of the student here were putting it on.
Some had been turned to blue, while others were still the same. Just like Mary’s.
“You know….have been wondering what this ring is all about, Can you tell me about it?”Sharon asked interrupting the two girls.
“This ring is a symbol of love, you know our town is a bit small and also a bit different other places. This ring began in the days of our fore father’s. There was a girl whom the king liked so much but this girl didn’t like him back because she had her fiance then”.
“The lady made it plain to king then that she loved her fiance and wouldn’t leave him for any one, the king who was madly in love let her go, he loved her too much than to try to cause her sadness”
“And so he gave her up to this fiance of hers but he had no idea that she was his future bride, his future queen and when he did found out, it was too late because she died, the king was quite angry and so…..I will skip some part because it would be ha-rd for you to un-der stand, you won’t want to be shocked”Mary said starring at Nina.
They both look suspicious and she would have probed some more if Mary hadn’t continue the story.
“The king made this ring and made it a must for everyone in this town to wear, he didn’t want the same thing that happened to him to happen to any one, he was such a R0m-ntic and ever since that decade long ago, we have all been wearing the ring and so if yours turns blue then your chosen one is closer than you think”Mary finished
“What if it turns out that I don’t like this choosen husband?”Sharon asked
“It does happen, the ring some times chooses some one you love and some doesn’t, have seen some students being happy about their chosen husband and some sad and angry that it had to be them, I just pray that mine picks up some one handsome “Mary said
Sharon sat down for a while digesting all of the info given to her and she thought it more weird. How would you find your future husband throu-gha ring.
“What about those who doesn’t wear a ring, have seen some students like me not wearing one “Sharon asked lightly
“That’s because you all are……”Nina couldn’t say it finish because Mary stuck a spoon full of food into her mouth and also shutting her up
“What Nina was trying to say was that those who aren’t wearing a ring are those who doesn’t believe in the power of the ring”Mary said quickly, looking a bit nervous.
Sharon could tell that she was hiding some thing from her.
Mean while Louis,along with his friend head to the cafeteria, now knowing who this new students are and where they are, they began to head there.
Students who were out side and who had also seen them began to scream out their names, causing an uproar at the school hall.
Louis didn’t seem to care for such things, right now,more than ever he had to know who amongst this new students was his bride to be.
As soon as they walked into the cafeteria, the students began to yell and also they began to run towards them.
“Where are they?”Louis asked Liam who stood beside him
“That table, they are there with Mary “Liam said pointing to a table where three girls were sitted.
Louis followed his direction and found himself starring at a girl, she isn’t what Louis will call beautiful but her de-ep green eyes made her more striking.
He stared at the other girl with Mary, she had glas-ses on and with her hair and face looking so disheveled, he hated her at sight.
Sharon was at first surprised at seeing the three hand some guys again and she was more surprised when the most hand some one of them Kept starring at her.
“Seems like he has arrive to find her”Mary said starring at the three Lords of the school.
“Find who?”Sharon asked as she saw them walking towards them
“You will know soon. “Mary replied being evasive again.
The three guys stood in front of their table and the one who seem to be their leader Kept Starring at Sharon..
“Looking at you this close……you are not that bad”He said to her.
What is wrong with this guy? Sharon thought still starring at him
“Tell me, how would you feel being my bride?”he asked again.
“What?”I finally spoke out still starring at him
What is he playing and why the hell is asking me that…… Could it be the prospective bride shit!
He got the wrong person as it is. Sharon thought as she kept on starring at him.
Mary stood up bringing both Sharon and Louis back to reality.
The two had just been starring at each other and that was really disturbing
“I think you got it wrong Louis”Mary said to him
“What do you mean by I got it wrong, my ring happen to change and it turns out that two new student arrived today”Louis replied still starring at Sharon
“As you have said two students arrived today but one of them will certainly be your bride Louis”Mary said
“How are you sure of that”Louis asked starring at Sharon and Nina
“Because one of them isn’t wearing a ring ”
“And that person is me”Sharon finished as she showed them her hand
“Seems like your bride is Nina”Sharon said starring at the shy Nina.
Louis was furious, he had thought that the pretty girl will be his bride but it turns out that it’s the nerdy one.
The relieve he felt a while ago vanished leaving him angry.
They had no choice when it comes to picking a bride and when they do find their bride, it’s either the bride is ugly or a beauty.
Turns out that I will have to live the rest of my life with her.
“I can’t believe this! Out of all the girls why did It have to be you?”He said hitting the table angrily
“Hey Louis, take it easy “Liam and Luther said trying to hold them still
“It’s some thing you have to come to term with “Mary said beside him
“Just buzz off,just because you are In charge of watching those with out the ring doesn’t give you the right to talk to me”Louis said, feeling angry that things aren’t going his way.
“I will have to confirm if she is the one”Louis said as he held Nina hand rou-ghly.
He began to pull her off but some one pulled them apart.
Louis turned only for a cu-p of water to be thrown on his face.
“What the hell!”
“I hate guys who man handle a female and you are one of them, it’s not her fault that she is chosen for you, your ring has changed and she is the one who changed it, so man up to it and treat her better, common Nina”Sharon said pulling Nina out of the cafeteria.
Mary too was about to leave with them but she stopped and gave Louis a smile.
“Now that some one has stood up to you, how does it feel”she said and walked off with out waiting for his reply.
