At the hospital, Luca was preparing for the surgery, a thorough check up had been carried out on him and the cancer had not affected his heart.
It was a 50/50 chance, they hoped that Joelle’s body would not reject the heart.
Marvin walked into the room while Luca was putting on the hospital gown.
“Hey” Marvin said and Luca faced him.
“I know that we have not been the best of friends but why are you doing this,it doesn’t make sense” Marvin muttered and pocketed his hands.
“Your girlfriend’s life is in danger, she’s the woman I love and I’m ready to do anything to give a second chance to life, this is my way of telling her that I am sorry for ever toiling with her feelings because she deserved better” Luca replied.
“I am at the fourth stage of prostate cancer and there is no turning back, I have no kin alive. Marvin, I have nothing to lose but Joelle has a lot of people who aren’t ready to lose her” Luca added.
“You never told us anything, I was the only one who knew about your mom but you never cared to tell us you had cancer. We are friends” Marvin said sadly.
“Yes we are friends, Stark group was our college band but I didn’t want you guys’ pity and I don’t really need your pity right now” Luca sighed.
He walked to Marvin.
“After the surgery is done, check the drawer and you would see something, give it to Joelle” Luca smiled, anyone could tell it was a smile of death.
“I really don’t want you to do this because I am going to miss you very much, Joelle will kill me when she wakes up” Marvin mumbled with tears in his eyes.
“I’m going to miss all of you as well, but less of Simon who is more of a jerk than anyone of you”
“Simon is like a stray dog, he’s lost” Marvin blinked rapidly and pulled him into a hug.
“I can’t believe this is the last time that I am going to see you” Marvin couldn’t stop his tears.
“I will miss you too” Luca hugged him back. “Hurt Joelle and my ghost will haunt you” Luca sniffed.

Rania stepped into the beautiful mansion to meet a party, she obviously had missed the birthday.
