Time flew so fast that it went to 11:59, she smiled and went to her WeChat then searched Alex name

Alex couldn’t sleep so he decided to keep on sketching what Andre asked him to do, though Nina thought him some things, he decide to try again like what Nina had told him
He’s alre-ady drawing again when his phone beeped, checking it’s from his WeChat and it’s from Nina, a smile crept on hisl-ips as he re-ad it

Happy birthday bro, I know I don’t deserve your reply but I just want to wish you happy birthday and to tell you I’m happy to have you as my friend and to also tell you I’m sorry about my cold behavior earlier

Then he checked the school group chat and they were all wishing him happy birthday

Luna watched from the dinning with her smile. She’s still confused on how they could share different birthday but decides to wave it off since it’s her brother’s birthday, so everything should be about him right??

Students kept wishing him and handing him gifts as he walked throu-gh the hallway
“Woah” Fred exclaimed collected some cause they are too much for Alex to hold
They got to Alex locker and saw several gifts, baskets, cu-pcake, cakes, chocolate and letters from girls at the front of it
“Oh, chocolate” Logan said from behind, he’s just coming out of the clas-sroom, he walked straight to Alex locker and look a chocolate
“Happy birthday old pal, I’m sorry I didn’t get you any gift” he said, unwra-pping the chocolate and eating from it, he made sure to li-ck that whole stain from the nylon
“But you can manage this” he threw the nylon on Alex b©dy, win-ked and left
Alex clenched his fist and breathed, it’s his birthday today and he’s not going to loose it for anything at all
Nina stared at the n£¢klace she’s planning to give Alex as she c@m£ down from the cab with Nelson and Benedict
“Yunno you’re really funny, you spent all your savings on that” Nelson said for the umpeeth time

This whispers is coming from the school students, they all gathered the school parking lot and were looking at something
“Let’s go check” Benedict said and they nodded and went to look together
When they got there they couldn’t believe what they saw
Camilla got Alex a MV Agusta F4 RC, one of the most fastest and latest speed bike in town
“Woah” Benedict muttered
Even Nelson could close his eyes and mouth while Nina stood still looking and feeling somehow
“Make way make way” some men shouted, coming in with a hvge 5 layers cake. Camilla also got that for Alex
Nina gulped down her whole saliva, Nelson couldn’t watch anymore so he rushed out of the scene
“Hey Nelson what’s wrong” Benedict ran after him
Camilla smiled proudly and turned to look at Nina, Nina didn’t move she kept staring, slowly Camilla c@m£ to Nina and sm-irked
“You see that, that is how much I love and can do for him” she pointed at the speed bike and five layer cake
Nina clenched her fist ti-ght and swallowed nothing
“So… Nina, what did you get him?” Camilla asked more like in a mocking way
Nina gulped trying not to let out her tears
“What can you even afford, just look around you and see everyone’s pres£nt especially mine and tell me what you can afford?” She asked again
Nina is alre-ady breathing heavily it’s like she’ll break down anything soon
Camilla stared down at Nina’s hand and took the n£¢klace, she bur-st out in laughter
“Everyone look at what Nina got Alex” she announced, students took the n£¢klace and began pas-sing it around while laughing
“Give it back” Nina gr@bb£d it back from them and ran out in tears
She ran to the school park and bent down, she began crying her eyes out, she didn’t want to cry but she can’t help it. Camilla is right, what can she afford, everyone are getting him something of 100,000+ and all sh could afford is 30. How cheap and stupid!!
The five layer cake was brou-ght to the s£noir clas-s, students began murmuring and taking pictures
“Happy birthday Alex, I’m so glad you’re alive today seriously” Camilla said, flashing a sweet smile to him

“Can you do that honor by tasting the first piece of cake?” She said, cutting a piece and giving him
“I alre-ady had breakfast so I can’t eat more” Alex replied and left the clas-sroom
Camilla face fell immediately, Nelson stood up and went after Alex

“Seriously what’s wrong with you dude” he shouted ma-king Alex freeze his track
“What, I’m full” Alex shurgged
“Can’t you appreciate all what she’s doing for you huh!!, She got you a MV Agusta F4 RC, one of the lastest, fastest and expensive speed bike. Then she got you a 5 layer well designed cake but all you can do is to just walk out!!” Nelson lost it and yelled, he’s eyes were de-eply red as he spoke
It’s hurting him that the girl he loves is doing so much for another person that don’t even bother appreciating
“I don’t care Nelson, you can have it if you want” Alex said dryly and walked out
Nelson clenched his fist really ti-ght and punched the wall in anger
“Nelson” Luna called, she’s just coming from a teacher’s office and overhead everything
“Just stay away from me!” He yelled and rushed off
She looked at him sadly till he was out of sight
“I finally fell in love again but it’s pla-ying bad on me” she muttered with a weak smile before going her own way
Alex went to the school block and sat down. The truth is that he don’t care about the gifts others are giving him, he don’t care about the speed bike or cake what he cares about is what Nina’s has for him
When he c@m£ to school is intention is to see her first thing but up till now he haven’t he’s messaging her but she’s not replying even though she’s seeing it
It’s weird but he kinda miss her, her voice, her everything, he just wants to see her right now, she’s the only one he wants he don’t care about the rest.
EVENING… 5:30pm***
THE JAYS***
Vida helped both Nina and Benedict with their makeup, all of them are alre-ady dressed for th concert
It’s like this, Nina, Vida, Benedict, Nelson and Ming would go together. Speaking of Ming she’s waiting at the couch for them
Luli would stay at home with Becky since she has school the next day so she won’t be too worn out
“Okay we are all set” Vida smiled
“Thanks I love my makeup, we look like twins” Nina smiled, looking at both Benedict and her face
“Hmm, let’s go before we meet too much of crowds” Vida dragged them to the living room
They hvgged Ming and began gisting

Nelson didn’t say anything he just stepped out of the house and decide to wait for them at the compound
“Okay be careful, Vida watch over all of them” Becky said, coming out of her room

The entered Ming’s car, Vida is the one who drove this time, it took an hour to arrive at the nightfalls river
Vida parked at the parking lot and they all c@m£ down, Alex car just st©pped beside them and he c@m£ down with Fred but Nelson and him stared at themselves in silence
Nelson broke the eyes contact and went in, Ming followed behind, then Benedict Fred, Vida then Nina who is about entering if Alex had not held her forearm, preventing her from entering
“Nina” he called and she bit herl-ips ha-rd
“Are you mad at me for something?” He asked and she shook her head
“No??, But you’ve been avoiding me since what have I done wrong?” He asked, hurt is clearly pres£nce in his voice
“It’s not you” she muttered and used her other hands to wipe her tears
He made her face him and she looked down
“Nina tell me, if its something I did then I won’t do it anymore, I can’t stand you avoiding me or looking like this I just can’t” he said sadly
“I’m just mad at myself, I’m mad that I’m poor and no one, I’m not rich like others, I mean look at what everyone got you today and me.. I couldn’t even get you a nice gift” she finally broke down.
