KAMMA’S REGRET
EPISODE 1

NWAKAMMA could not stand the tortue melted on her sister. She had to ask around for a very powerful spiritualist.

ADAOBI her elder sister is married. Her husband is based abroad. Collins is not an only son. He is not even the last, he is the second son. The clos£ness between him and his mum is something else. ADA was suposed to travel out with her husband but guess who st©pped it? MAMA.
“I will go to obodo oyibo before you, you hear me? you want to go there and start br@gging london girl. you daughter of a nob©dy.” this is her mother in-laws words to her. Meanwhile she told her son, she will be lonely if ada travels. she nee-ds ada’s company and so many other lies. MAMA dealt with ada. collins s£nds alot of gifts of clothes, shoes, hair extentions, perfumes, and lots more. mama will seize all of them. She would make sure ada gets nothing, as in nothing out of it. The clothes are not her size because ada is slim. Mama will sell the clothes. Mama just hated ada. she once told her friend that she is jealous of the Love that exsists between her son and his wife. Ada has divided her son’s attention and affection for her. Ada heard her say this.
When Ada noticed she is pregnant, she told her mother in-law.
-have you told my son?
-no mama
-ok. don’t tell him yet until i’m sure that THING will last.
Ada always had morning sickness. Mama prepared something like tea and told her to drink it h0t. it would St©p the vomiting.
Two days later, Ada started feeling something like menstral cramp, she started seeing blood and lost the baby. Ada suspected mama’s tea.
Collins c@m£ home. Ada requested for her own ap@rtment or be allowed to stay with her parents. This caused a hvge problem. collins claimed ada indirectly called his mum a witch.
Mama was rolling on the floor (crocodile roll) and crying (crocodile tears)
Collins told his wife to appologise to mama which she did just to plea-se her husband. Mama requested the feeding money be given to her. Collins gave mama 500,000 and gave his wife 100,000 for her up keep.
When collins went back, MAMA made life a living hell for Ada.
–oh, you were asking for your own ap@rtment? thun-der will.destroy that your mouth. You want to marry my son abi? you must marry o. where is the money he gave to you? go and get it. bring out all the clothes he bought, the perfumes, evvrything, bring them out.
-mama, i will not. i said i will not. whatever you want to do, do it. argh argh, i’m i the only person living with my mother in-law that i won’t rest? Mama do your worse.
-ehee? you say? i.should do my worse. hmmm, you’re growing power abi? issorite.(she went upstairs)

(mama was just flogging her with a very big cane. they were running round the sitting room and then upstairs till she finally succeded in running into her room and locking.the door)

–come out o. come out and run your stupid mouth. ewu. you want your own ap@rtment. come and carry ap@rtment. (she went into her room)
ADA called her husband’s elder brother on phone and narrated her ordeal.
–my dear, he said, i am tired of mama. don’t you notice we don’t come around? how can she flog you? for what? don’t worry i will come and see her this evening.(some minutes later, mama c@m£.out of her room. Ada was in the kitchen, she wanted to fry egg. mama c@m£ into the kitchen and hit ada with her hands.
— How dare you report to ANAYO?
so you want to put enemity.between my son and i?
—mama, i have respected you enough o, the next time you hit me again? mama the.next time you hit me? hmmm
—are you threatening me? what will you do? will you beat me? oya beat me, ADA beat me, i say tear my clothe.(she dragged ada by her cloth)
EPISODE 2
Mama just poured the egg on ADAOBI’S face. Ada added pepper to the egg. it went straight into ada’s eyes.
—JEEEZ, my eyes ooo, my eyes ooo, mama my eyes, oh my God. (she tried reaching the tap in the kitchen but mama used a bowl to cover the tap.) oooooh God, my eyes oooo. where is this tap na? (mama ti-p-toed to her room. farouk the gate-keeper heard ada shouting and c@m£ to her rescue. he re-moved the bowl mama used to cover the tap and led her close to the tap.)
—-madam, farouk called out, you no get am for mama ko? You wan die hia? mama go kill you o. madam abeg, make u dey go your mama house. mama wicked fa. walahi my oga call , i go tell am. E don too much faaaa. (he left crumbling in hausa language)
ADA had brusies from the flogging she received from mama. ADA has brothers. four for that matter and they are rugged. as in rugged. well connected to BAD GUYS.
—-(hmmm, ada cried as she soliloquies) if i go home like this, umu nnem eme nwanyi a 60 makachi (my brothers will deal with this woman, i swear to God.) and it will affect my marriage with my husband. my husband is a good man o but his mother. hmmm!!. i just don’t know why and how i’m calming down for this woman o. chai, this world eheee. na me person take dey do wickedness sample so? issorite. shey na because of marriage, no wahala.
ANAYO visited his mum and saw the brusies on ADAOBI and went mad.
—-Mama negodu ihe imere nwa mmadu. (see what you did to someone’s child)
—–she wanted to beat me(crying)
—-big lie, mama big lie. i know you na. you know i know you. onye aruru ala. mama st©p this thing you are doing. all your children gbalu gi oso (ran away from you) because of your character. anya-ufu nke gi, obi ojor nke gi, (you are full of jealousy and wickedness) this girl will not stay with you again. ADAOBI, let’s go to my house.
ADA quic-kly went upstairs to change and pack few things.
when she c@m£ down, mama faced her.
—bia ada, if you leave this house,be re-ady to give Collins plenty explanations because i don’t know where you are.
Adaobi followed Anayo to his house. ifeoma, Anayo’s wife saw Ada and shouted,
—Jesus!!!, Ada, what’s all these marks on your b©dy?
Her husband replied
—–mama o. mama used cane on her.
—-cane kwa? nawa o. nnem, plea-se come and bath. hmmm, cane on a full grown lady, someb©dy’s wife.
That night, mama called collins.
—–hello (crying) nna, i’m all alone in this house. since morning i have not eaten anything. your wife has turned into something else. she has not sle-pt in this house for 2days now. i have been sick. nob©dy to cook for me.
—-nnem st©p crying. so ada had the guts to leave you all alone in that house? where did she go to? mama st©p crying. drop this call, i nee-d to call her.
ADA’S phone was ringing but she was fast asleep. ANAYO and collins are not in talking terms all because of MAMA. Anayo c@m£ to the sitting room that night and saw Ada’s phone ringing, it was his brother calling.
—HELLO
—-what!! replied collins. how dare you pick my wife’s call? what is a married woman doing in your house?
—-my friend calm down and listen now replied ANAYO.
—–oh you’re shouting at me? you are slee-ping with my wife and you’re shouting at me? i will locate you when i come to nigeria and b!ow out your ba-lls.
—-NWOKEM will you keep quiet? it’s ANAYO your brother.
—–liar, is that what she told you to say? like my mother doesn’t know my brother, her son any more and besides, my wife won’t step foot into Anayo’s house. We are not in talking terms. i seriously warned her not to. Tell her i’m coming back soon for both of you.
ANAYO’S WIFE c@m£ INTO THE SITTING ROOM.

—–yea. i heard it ringing. when i saw it was collins i picked it. i wanted to use this opportunity to tell him what his wife is going throu-gh with mama.
—-Hey obim, mba nu. you shouldn’t have. you know you guys have issues because of this same mama. you shouldn’t have picked.
