It’s been 3 hours now and Daniel hasn’t opened the door and he hasn’t eaten anything or taken his medicine and am so worried.
Everyone left except me,i sat in front of his door.
“Kylie,you nee-d to go and rest” Mason said.
“I can’t, Mason,when Daniel is still angry at me,he hasn’t eaten and am so scared.
“He is so stubborn,Ky,he won’t open up”
“Then i will show him that more stubborn,i will stay here till he opens up”
“Okay,then”
Mason walked away.
I knocked one more time.
“Danny,i know you are still awake and you can hear me,am really sorry for not telling you about your health,i couldn’t look you in the eye and tell you..am sorry,danny..i love you so much”
I heard his footsteps coming towards the door,i stood up and then the door opened.
His eyes were red and swollen,i saw a tear drop from his eyes.
He hvgged me so ti-ght,we were crying in each other’s arms.
“Am sorry, Danny,am sorry”
“It’s okay, Kylie,i un-derstand…Babe,am going to die,am gonna leave you”
“No, don’t say that, let’s not talk about it”
“But it’s the truth,i have only six months to live”
“Let’s forget it..you nee-d to eat,you haven’t taken anything”
“My room is messed up, let’s use the other room”
“Okay,let me get something from the kitchen”
“Bring that medicine with you,am having a little headache”

After Daniel ate and took his medicine,he sle-pt off in my arms. I starred at him,ca-ressed his hair.
I wish i could die with you,i love you so much,so so much.
Few minutes later,i sle-pt off.

“But why them,why can’t they be happy?” I asked almost in tears.
Mason was with me,i was waiting for Kylie to come down.
“I don’t know, i have not seen two people love each other the way Kylie and Daniel love each other, now destiny wants to tear them ap@rt”
“It breaks me when i see Kylie in pain, she’s like my sister”

I woke up but didn’t see Daniel next to me,i stood up and checked everywhere but i couldn’t find him.
Then i saw a letter on the table, i opened it and re-ad:
“Kylie,am sorry i did this but i had to. Have been thinking of our future cause i will never see those days. I don’t why this is happening but maybe i probably deserve it,i tried to do my best but you know am not perfect.
When i leave this earth,hope you will find someone else. We are still young and there’s so much we haven’t done like getting married,start a family,watch your husband with his son. I wish it could be me but you and i know that’s not possible.
I hope i go to heaven so that i can see you once again,my life was kinda short but i got some many blessings, the most important one was you being mine,am sorry it has to end this way.. Don’t come looking for me,i will forever love you”
Tears started flowing down my cheeks,Daniel left me,he went away..No,this can’t happen,i must find him.
I ran down the stairs, the family were having breakfast,Nina was around.
“Kylie, where’s Daniel?”
“He left,Daniel left” i said and wiped my tears.
“What do you mean by that?”Mrs Mendes asked.
“We went to be-d together but when i woke up,he wasn’t there, only this letter.
“Let me re-ad it” Mr mendes said.
I gave him and he scanned throu-gh it.
“Oh Goodness,where in earth could he be?”
“He took all his clothes, everything,we have to find him”.
“Kylie,relax,we will find him”
Nina hvgged me so ti-ght.
” Where could my son be?”
“I know a place he might be at” Mason said.
“There was a time Daniel was telling me about a mansion he has so far away from here,he stays there when he wants some quiet time”
“So where is it?”
“In Cleveland”
“Cleveland? That’s so far away”
“I know but it’s worth a try.. Kylie,you should go and convince him to come back”

I was standing in front of a hvge mansion,the drive to Cleveland was so hectic.
I walked towards the entrance but i was st©pped by two guards.
“Who are you and what do you want?” One of the guards asked.
“Am Kylie, Daniel Mendes Girlfriend..i want to see him,is he in?”
“Yes,but he doesn’t want anyone to disturb him”
Thank goodness,at least i found him.
“Call him and tell him that am here first”
“Okay”
The guard brou-ght out his phone and called Daniel,i could hear his voice in the background.
“Yes,sir, she said she’s Kylie..i don’t know how she got here”

“Danny, it’s me,open up”
The guard hanged up the phone.
“He said you can come in”
The door opened and i walked in,the compound was beautiful.

How did she find me? Sometimes i think she put a tracking device on me.
I watched her come in from the balcony,she looked up and our eyes met.
“Hello,my runaway b©yfri£nd”
“Why are you here?”
“To see you and to take care of you”
“You should go back,i can take care of myself”
“Why are you pushing me away?”
“Because you don’t deserve someone that is about to die”
“What do you mean by that? I love you, Danny and am not letting you face this alone”
“I can’t offer you anything,i can’t make you happy”
“Just your smile makes me happy,Danny..you can’t throw away all the years we shared together like this”

“Open the door and let me in”
“No, Kylie,go home”
“If you don’t open the door, I will sit here till you decide to open the door”
She can’t be serious, it’s freezing cold out there,if she stays, she’ll freeze to death.

She sat on the floor and looked at me.

I have been outside for an hour now and it is so cold out here. Cleveland is so cold
Daniel will have to open the door for me,he can’t leave me outside.
“Ma’am, it’s so cold outside,come and stay in the cottage” a maid said as she c@m£ out.
“No,i want to enter the mansion”
“But,ma’am…”
“No,i want to stay with my b©yfri£nd” i said cutting her off.

Someone knocked on the door.

“Miss Kylie, Sir Daniel asked me to give you this, it’s your clothes and he said he is waiting for you downstairs”
Thank goodness,at least he didn’t go away.
“Okay, thanks”
She dropped the bag and walked away.
After getting dressed,i c@m£ downstairs to the dinning table,i saw Daniel and a certain girl talking and laughing.
She was wearing a really ti-ght bu-m short and a crop t©p,her shape was so visible, who is she?
“Hey,babe,come let’s eat” Daniel said pu-lling me closer.
“Beatrice,this is Kylie,my girlfriend and Kylie,this is Beatrice,my personal cook”
We smiled at each other.
So she’s the cook,then why is she wearing ex-posing clothes in front of my b©yfri£nd.

He must really like her food,look at the way he is eating it.
I tasted the food and it was so good, she’s a good cook.

We were still eating when Beatrice left,i saw the way Kylie glared at Beatrice, it’s so obvious she’s jealous.
Let me make her angry a little.

“She really knows how to cook and she’s really good with her hands”
I saw the anger in her eyes.
“How do you know she’s good with her hands?”
“She gives me a mas-sage whenever she comes around”

She wiped her tears.
“I will be in the room,when your anger is down,you can talk to me but one thing is for sure,am not leaving here without you”

Daniel thinks he can push me away,he is so wrong,am staying with him.
Gosh,i have been feeling so nauseous since this morning,maybe it’s the food.
3 hours later,
Daniel walked in and sat beside me.
“What do you want to say now?”
“It’s time to leave, Kylie”
“I told you,am not leaving”
“Am talking about the both of us, let’s go back home”
“Really?”
“Yes,babe,so go get your things re-ady”

We were finally back home and the whole family was so happy to see us.

They hvgged each other.

It was good seeing Daniel laugh again with his family.
“Thank you” Paris whispered in my ears.

I might have a short time to live but am happy i can spend time with my family especially Kylie.
3 weeks later,
Kylie and I were at the balcony looking at the stars.
“They are so beautiful” Kylie said smiling.
“Yes,they are.. Kylie,when the time comes and i leave,i want you to know that if you miss me,you can look up at the stars,i will be there watching you”
“Sometimes i find it ha-rd to believe that you are leaving..What if you don’t die and the doctors can do something about it”
“I doubt it,my dad has alre-ady taken my case to four different doctors in india and it’s thesame thing,i have alre-ady accepted it..so that’s why i want you to promise me something”
“What’s that?”
“Promise me that when i die,you will move on, find someone else to love you”
“Danny, that’s next to impossible,i can’t love another man,i can’t promise that”
“You have to,you can’t stay single all your life”

After i was dine preparing his food,i went to his room but he was still slee-ping.
I dropped the food on the table and went over to him.
“Danny,wake up, it’s time to eat”
I climbe-d him and tried k!sshim but something was wrong,i couldn’t feel his breath.
I checked his heart and it wasn’t beating,i bec@m£ so scared.
“Daniel,no,no.. it’s not time yet,you can’t do this to me”
I tapped him but he wasn’t responding.
“DANIEL” I yelled.
