I turned to head home…
On my way, I made a new friend in an Northerner.

He brou-ght out a plate filled with different green materials…

He got a ryzla, brou-ght ingredents and mixed things…

I left his pres£nce only for him to pursue me….

He was not going to agree so I took it… so he could at least leave…

On getting home, I s£nt Shola a text message…

There was no reply as at that time so I decided to take a nap in the sitting room…

With my eyes closed,
Me: Anything…

I opened my eyes and tried to sit upright…

Only recently has she started acting very rude to me… but I felt I had just come and should take a chill at things…

I couldn’t believe she was talking to me…
So I stood up…

Kemi: Oh… so you’re a ghost now?
I couldn’t take it any longer…
I lunched her face with two simultaneous sl@ps…
She started crying almost immediately….
I left her pres£nce…
I went to my room… and got on my be-d…
I remembered what I got from the Northerner…
I went to kitchen to get matches…. c@m£ back to my room and locked the door….
I lit up the ryzla and there was smoke everywhere…
The thing was so conk I was dizzy in no time…. Then my eyes were heavy my b©dy was becoming lighter….
I threw the thing into the toilet and went to sleep…
I didn’t regret dealing with my sister at all…

After much sleep, I got off be-d ignoring my phone and went outside to see what was happening… There was nothing…
I went on to my sister’s room… as she was sitting on the be-d with her earpiece…
She re-moved it as soon as I got in…
Me: Kemi….
Kemi: Yes, Jide…
Me: Can I talk to you?
Kemi: I’m listening…
Me: I’m sorry…
Kemi: I know… I’m sorry too…
Me: Sorry for what… *I went to sit by her side on the be-d*… I wasn’t myself… and I esc-rting Shola didn’t end well… she got angry along the way…
Kemi: Oh… sorry to hear that… The thing is I find it difficult to pinpoint why you get to impregnate a girl, and everyb©dy’s still acting like it’s a normal thing… like you got away with it easily… and me, I’m the one who has to be kept indoors all day…

Some minutes later, My phone rang..
Nolly: Hey lover boy… how’s you doing?…
Me: I’m okay… how are you?
Nolly: I’m good… I called you earlier…
Me: I saw it… what’s going on?
Nolly: I heard results are coming out soon…
Me: Oh… don’t scare me..
Nolly: It’s nothing baby… I’ve missed you
Me: I’ve missed you too….
As the call went on, my phone alerted me…. I quic-kly checked the screen to see what was happening…
Shola was calling but her call was waiting…
I cut Nolly’s call immediately..
Shola: Jide… what’s going on?
Me: I don’t know… we should just chill…
Shola: You’re not ma-king me good… I’m not happy Jide…
Me: I believe we can talk things out… I just c@m£ back from school… give me some time to sought it out…
Shola: Well, I’m in school alre-ady… you didn’t even ask If I was safe
Me: Are you safe?

Next week c@m£ and I and Shola talked casually and semi-normally…
She called me on Friday morning…
Shola: How are we going to see the doctor? Cos he said he really wants to see you…
Me: s£nd in the address… maybe I’ll come meet you…
Shola: I’m still in school… and you know I’ll be coming in the evening… okay… I’ll s£nd in the address so you’ll come meet me there… maybe in 2 hours..
Me: Okay… good…

The address c@m£ in almost immediately, I went to prepare my meal… as I was very hungry…
Kemi: ahn ahn… you didn’t call me to cook ni?
Me: No… I don’t want to stress you Kemi.. let me handle this…
Kemi: no… what do you want?
Me: I want to do eba… and you won’t be able to get the exact size I want… I’m very hungry…
After arguing about who will cook…
I won and did my cooking….
In about 45minutes, I was in the sitting room with the pot…
The eba and soup all mixed together in the pot….
After my meal, I went to have my bath and later got dressed…
2 hours was almost up… so I set out for my short journey…
I hailed a cab and gave him the address…
As there was no currency so I had to tell him to get me to the nearest bureau…that was very risky… but I had no choice…
We got to the bureau and I changed half of what I had… about N50,000…
After which we set for the hospital….
We were there in no time… as Shola was there waiting at the gate…
After paying for the fare…
Shola: Why where you late?
Me: There was little traffic… and I br@nched somewhere…
Shola: Where?
Me: The bureau…
Shola: Okay… well the doctor is waiting….
We went inside together… and were told to wait by the reception…
Me: I thought you said he was waiting alre-ady…
Shola: Yes, but when you weren’t early enough…
We waited for about 15 minutes before we were called in…
Me: Good evening sir…
Shola: Sir, this is my b©yfri£nd…. Jide…
Doctor: Oh Jide… Nice… I’ve always wanted to meet you…
Me: Shola told me everything sir… hope she’s not giving you too much trouble sir…
Doctor: No not at all… plea-se sit down…
Doctor: She’s really a good girl… of good behavior….

Me: Life is good sir… manageable as always…

Shola stands up to leave…

Doctor: Jide… you know Shola is 6months plus now..
Me: Yes sir…
Doctor: Good… the baby she’s carrying is a 50-50 chance
Me: I don’t un-derstand sir… what do you mean by 50-50….
Doctor: The baby she’s carrying has a 50% chance of living… the child might not make it alive… she might die in the wo-mb…
Me: Why’s that sir… *as I frowned my face at him…. I was saddened immediately*
Doctor: You see, Shola doesn’t rest… she moves about every time… but that’s not the case… ap@rt from all that… Shola may not be able to give birth herself…
Me: Ah! Doctor, that’ll be enough… Is that why you want see me?
Doctor: I just want to disclose it to you… I may not be on duty when she’s in labour…
I stood up and got out of the door…. I ran outside….
Shola: What happened?
Me: It’s nothing baby… let’s go…
Shola: *She st©pped me* Baby tell me what’s wrong?
Me: It’s nothing Shola…
Shola: No… Jide, tell me… plea-se
Me: The doctor complained about you stressing yourself, and it’s not good for the baby…
Shola: How’s that even possible… so that’s what got you angry
Me: Yes… that’s it..
Shola: it’s school now Jide… oya let’s go back to the doctor so I can explain to him…

I left the hospital as she later followed me…

Me: So where to now?
Shola: I don’t know…
Me: Um Shola… where are your bags?
Shola: They’re still in school… I will go get them.
Me: Okay, you’ll meet me at home then…

I hailed a cab as we went our separate ways.
I wanted to make Shola happy… by all means… but here in Nigeria, we nee-d to spend money.
I couldn’t really phantom how I could do that…
I got home… I met the door opened….
Me: Kemi??
No answer…. I went inside… carefully…
I went to her room…
Kemi: ah, Jide you’re around…
Me: Yes I’m around… why did you leave the door opened…
Kemi: I forgot…
Me: You forgot? Be careful o… abeg
I went to my room and beeped Nolly…
She called moments later…
Nolly: Jide… what’s up?
Me: Nothing much.
Nolly: Are you okay… you cut the call on me remember
Me: Sorry… things c@m£ up….
While the call was on, I heard the door close…
Shola walked into my room…. I was still on the phone…
Nolly: it’s okay… I’m really bored here… there’s nothing I’m doing here… I feel like coming…
Me: No…. it’s just 3weeks… there’s still the long vacation… so take your chill….
Nolly: I know…
Me: How’s everyb©dy?
Nolly: Everyb©dy is doing good….
Me: That’s good… I’ve to go now…

We went to the kitchen together in a hurry… I remembered when we used to pillow fight…

I put the pot on fire as I got re-ady my indomie….

Me: You’re still talking…. Well you are losing alre-ady..
Shola: I don’t know what to cook jare….*she tea-sed*
I put my indomie inside the pot after the water had boiled for some time….
She wasn’t doing anything…. She sat on the cabinet….
I went to her as I wra-pped my hands round her stomach….
I brou-ght her t©p to expo-se her stomach…. And k!$$£d it…. She rested her hands on my head as I did so….
Thinking about the doctor said…. It saddened my heart again…
Shola: So have you thought of any names?
Me: Names? For? Oh the baby…. Not really
Shola: You’re so irresponsible…. She slams my head softly…
Me: Baby… we’ve not really talked about our future… we nee-d to talk…

Shola: Your indomie is burning…
I ran off to the pot and got my indomie off the fire….
As I turned my back… Shola was standing there with a bowl of food in her hand…
Me: Where did you get that?
Shola: I got it from where it c@m£ from…
Me: St©p teasing… seriously
Shola: I got it on my way here…
Me: So what does that mean?
Shola: It means I won no ni… abi
Me: Won what?
Shola: I won… it was first to get food… and I got food before you….
We went to the dinning…. There was no light….
Me: Kemi… is there fuel in the gen?
After getting a silent response, I went on to check the gen myself…
There was fuel… my parents must have filled the diesel…
I put on the gen… and went back to meet Shola
Me: So where were we?
Shola: I love you Jide.
Me: I love you too…
We ate our meal as we stared at each other….
Me: There’s always something about you when you stare at me…. I always love it… no matter how angry I can be…
She blu-shed….and smiled…. and laughed….
Shola: There’s something about you I don’t un-derstand…. The way I love you, I can’t explain.
Kemi: hmm hmmm hmmm! What’s happening in here….
Shola: Common…. Ahn ahn….
Kemi: Me I’m not there o…

I ignored the two of them as I ate my meal…
Kemi was trying to disturb Shola…. And she tried taking out of her food…
At a point… Kemi carried the whole food…. Expecting Shola to run after her…
Me: Kemi what’s your problem….*I shouted* Bring the food back here now…
The expression on Kemi’s face said it all… Shola was shocked also…
Kemi brou-ght the food, as the house was all silent…
She dropped the food and gently walked back to her room.
Shola: Jide, what was that?
Me: What was what? That’s what the doctor was saying earlier…. Don’t stress yourself…
Shola: She was just pla-ying with me…. That’s just awful… won’t you go and apologise to her now?
After a light argument, I went to Kemi’s room?
I knocked on the door and got no answer… so I opened it…
She was weeping…heavily….
Me: Kemi….
Kemi: But why do you hate me so much… I can’t even pl@ywith your girlfriend?
Me: I’m so sorry darling…. I overeacted… I’m sorry….
Kemi: No… you’re not sorry… you can’t be sorry.
Me: See… I went to the doctor today with Shola… and he said things about her not getting stressed up…. I was only trying to avoid that…. I’m sorry darling….

After much plea…. I left her room…. And went to meet Shola…
Me: I think it’s time we go to your mum….
We went to the room to get prepared…
She got Unclad first…. Hmm
Shola: What are you looking at?
Me: What am I looking at…
I moved closer to her…

I took my hands on her bo-ob s

I took my hand towards her Kitty-Cat, as I took her ti-p in my mouth….

I turned her back to my d–k….
As I inser-ted my d–k in her Kitty-Cat…

After our bath… we got dressed and set out for Shola’s house…

I was able to compel her to trek…

We went inside…. As i sat in the sitting room…
She went to get her mum…

I stood up and greeted her by prostrating flat on the ground….
Shola’s mum: Stand up….
Me: Thank you ma!
Shola’s mum: How are you?
Me: I’m okay ma…
Shola’s mum: And how’s school?
Me: School is good ma! We thank God…
Shola’s mum: Good good…. Are your parents back?
Me: No ma… they’re not… they would by next week…

She stood up and went away….

We got a cab …. In 20minutes, we were home….

Shola gets angry over little things…
She left the kitchen, went to the room and slammed the door…
I couldn’t un-derstand what I did wrong….
After much pestering on the door, I left the house…
I went to the club I had gone to the other time…
There were lots of people as it was rowdy…
I was able to find a sp©t….after I got my favourite drink….
