“Clarie” Nathan called in disbelief
“Yes hunny, it’s me Clarie and don’t move an inch forward” she said still pointing her gun at him
“How, I thought you were dead, explain all this” Nathan stuttered confusedly
“As you can see, I’m alive and kicking, I’m not dead, I never died, it was all a game, I’m here now” she laughed loudly
“So you were pla-ying me?” Nathan asked and she just laughed
“I just nee-ded revenge from you, I never really liked you not even once” she said while Nathan stared at her, feeling dumbstruck
“I’ve waited for this day to come and I guess that it’s alre-ady time for you to know everything. I’m an orphan my family was killed before my very eyes by who? Wanna know well I’ll tell you, my family was killed by Simon Davis your one and only father, I was just 6 years old I was helpless, I had to l@yamong the dead bĀ©dy of my loved ones to survive, I was buried alive”
“Do you know what I’ve been throu-gh, I had to eat sand for days and nights, no one to help, I was very useless so useless back then all because of your father!!!” She yelled with teary eyes
Nathan couldn’t believe his ears, he just stared at her, dumb folded
“When I first met you at highschool, that time I fell in love with you, I didn’t like the way you were being bullied but when my adopted father noticed this, he sĀ£nt me away from school, he said I must not fall in love since all my life is based on revenge”
“I missed you and wished to see you badly, years flew we went to out separate college, I still couldn’t find you, I secretly searched for you everywhere, I looked for you but one-day I found out that you were the son of that bastard, late Simon Davis my bloody enemy”
“I hated myself and I hated you more, all my feelings of love turned to hate, I hate you!!! It was all a plan when I first c@mĀ£ to your company, when I c@mĀ£ to your life , it was all a plan” she laughed so ha-rd that water c@mĀ£ out of her eyes
By now everywhere was alre-ady bright, Nathan stood in silence as a tear rolled down his eyes
“So all the times we spent together was a joke?” He muttered sadly
“A painful one” she said, tears were also pouring out of her eyes
“I hired a lookalike and made her have heart diseases, my lookalike died not me” she said
“So you’re telling me that, it was all a game, all the years we spent together, the years I mourned for you was all a joke??” Nathan said in a cracked voice
“Yes, I ought to destroy you, I killed your grandpa, I wanted to kill your sister but this new bit-ch here was spoiling everything, I blew up your company and as I’m speaking now your mansion is b!own to beats, all your maid plus your sister all of them are dead, my goons are after your mom, Justin is dead” she said slowly
“Why?” Was all Nathan could say, shaking his head ,looking like someone who’s world has crumbled
“I’ll make sure you have nothing, right now your company is in my palm, I’ll kill you and your woman and take full charge of star entertainment” she said pointing the gun at Nathan who looked lifeless now
Evelyn was alre-ady crying while Freddy just hvgged her ti-ght, trying to calm get down
“How can a woman like you be this heartless” Betty yelled in tears
“Shut your fvĀ¢king mouth, you’re the first person I’ll kill, you made him happy again” she yelled uncontrollably and pointed the gun to Betty and then pu-ll-ed the trigger
“Betty no” they all screamed, Evelyn pu-ll-ed her ears with Freddy hvgging her ti-ght while Nathan hvgged Betty immediately when they heard the gun sh0t sound
They waited, seconds seemed to be pas-sing but nothing, they slowly turned to Clarie and found her standing still blood dripping from her mouth, the gun slowly fell from her hand and she slowly fell on the ground, dropped dead with her eyes wi-de open
Everyone gaze turned to Jasmine standing from behind with her gun pointed at Clarie’s direction even though she had alre-ady fallen
“Sis” Evelyn muttered as a tear drop fell from her eyes
Jasmine was crying uncontrollably, next thing c@mĀ£ the sound of the police serien, Evan c@mĀ£ down with Regina, Cindy, Charles and Xavier
“Put down your gun miss Jasmine brown and silently follow us” the corps said to Jasmine
“Sis” Evelyn cried when Jasmine dropped her gun and let the corps take her
“Sis” Evelyn yelled in tears, she freed herself from Freddy and ran to her sister
“Sis plea-se don’t go, don’t go with them” she tried dragging her sister but the corps f0rƧĀ£fully separated them
“I’m sorry miss but your sister just committed an offense, she has to come with us” the officer said
“No plea-se” Evelyn cried uncontrollably while Freddy c@mĀ£ to hvg her from behind, he tried calming her down
“Just take care if yourself Eve, take care if my sister, treat her well. Eve one word, don’t ever, ever make my mistake” that was Jasmine’s last word to her sister and Freddy before going with the corps
Evelyn broke down on Freddy’s arm while he just hvgged her really ti-ght
Regina rushed to Betty and hvgged her ti-ght
“I thought you were dead” Betty cried and hvgged her back
Nathan just sat on the floor, looking lifeless, looking like a mess still in that trance, he loved this woman almost all his life
Clarie’s bĀ©dy was carried by the ambulance and some of her men were being taken to jail

Diana has been running for hours, on her way to her office some people from no where c@mĀ£ to attack her, she even got sh0t in the arm
Diana ran to a corner to catch her breath, she don’t even un-derstand what was happening
“No running this time” a man said coming to her with a gun
“plea-se, no I beg you, don’t do this I have children plea-se ahhhhhh” she screamed when she heard the gun short sound
It wasn’t her that got sh0t it was the man, Justin was there, Justin had killed him
“Ma’am” Justin rushed to her
“Justin what was that?” Diana asked
“It’s a long story let’s go” he said and then carried her since she got sh0t in the arm and was weak
“You saved my life, you helped me when I nee-ded it, I’ll never fail you Nathan” Justin thought as the took Diana away

After that horrific scene, Evelyn pas-sed out and was taking to the hospital, Freddy was by her side
“Nathan snap out of this!” Betty yelled out tears but Nathan didn’t speak, he just drove silently to the mansion
“Nathan plea-se say something you’re scaring me” Betty tried tou-ching him
But he moved from her and kept mute, in a separate car, Charles, Evan, Regina and Cindy were also driving to Nathan’s mansion
“I can’t believe Clarie did all this, it’s still shocking” Regina muttered
When Evan found out about this, were Nathan and Betty were, he told Regina and they were an their way with the police when they bu-mp into Charles, Cindy and Xavier who had also found out about it so they decided to go together
“At least, it’s over we are safe now” Charles said

Nathan car stĀ©pped at his mansion, Betty immediately jumped down from the car. The mansion was burnt to ashes
“No!!!” She screamed her lungs out while Nathan just watched silently from his car
“No this is not happening” Betty cried
They were all dead, all the maids all the guards even Bella and lady Kira her favorite among them, the place were surrounded with corps and fire extinguisher
“plea-se tell me some people were saved?” Betty asked in tears
“I’m sorry ma’am none of them survived” the word ‘none of them’ echoed three times in Betty’s ear
When Evan, Regina, Cindy and Charles arrived and saw this, Regina fainted Xavier was shocked to the core, Charles was pacifing Cindy who was crying while Evan fist was ti-ghtly clenched
Nathan eyes were de-eply red, he has been crying silently, why today, why has God decided to punish him today of all days

*CHAPTER 70**

It’s been three days since that nas-ty incident, Regina is still working for Evan nothing changed Freddy and Evelyn went back to Crystal college and so as Betty and Nathan they both a new mansion and continue their work at star entertainment
The only change thing was Nathan, he now behaves so cold and lifeless like his whole world has ended
He even ignores Betty unknowingly, sometimes he goes to the bar and drink his whole life, comes back dead drun!k, ignores her and sleep next day he ignores her again, dress for work and leaves
Right now Betty was outside burning papers
” Bella you were one of my favorite I miss you I miss your chubby face and everything about you I can’t believe you died so young, today was suppose to be your birthday” Betty cried softly remembering the times her and Bella spent together the way Bella eats everything about her
“Goodbye Bella” she muttered sadly, she took a fresh Rose from her basket and put it for Bella
She then moved to another tube. “Lady Kira, you use to be a wonderful leader, I really admire you and how you handle your work, I can’t believe you’re gone just like that” she cried as she dropped a rose
She talked for some other maids and dropped their rose before standing up
“Rest in peace, all of you” she said one last time as she sprinkled the remaining flowers on their tubes before going to the new mansion

NATHAN MANSION**
She got there and looked around, the maids there were few and everywhere was different unlike the old mansion
“Betty” that was Nathan’s mom, Justin brou-ght her back few hours before the incident, Regina was glad to see her mom and to see that Justin was also alive
Diana would be staying for few days and she’s the one who would always keep Betty company because Nathan was behaving somehow these days
“Mom” Betty c@mĀ£ to her and they both sat down
“How are you dear, you look stressed” Diana said, ru-bbing her cheek and forehead
“I’m fine, just went to pay my respect to our fellow maid” Betty said with a faint smile
“Small world, can’t believe Clarie could do all that” Diana sighed
“It’s okay mom nothing can be undone now, there are all gone both good ones and bad ones” Betty said, standing up
“I’m tired I’ll be in my room” she smiled and was slowly climbing the stairs
Diana watched Betty sadly as she climbe-d the stairs and could only just sigh painfully. The door bur-st opened and Nathan stepped in with an expressionless and lifeless look as usual
“Nathan, you have to stĀ©p this you’re scaring Betty” Diana said but Nathan didn’t respond, he just went to the fridge and gulped a whole bottle water down after that he climbe-d the stairs to his room

Betty rose immediately at the sight of him
“You’re home early” she said coming closer to him, she ought to take off his jacket but he stepped back
“I’m tired, you can have your dinner alone I’m not hungry” he said with a lifeless voice
“Why are you behaving like this, it doesn’t make any s-en-se” she said but as usual she will get no response
“Nathan I’m talking to you, I don’t un-derstand you’re hurt but must you punish others for it, I’m sick of your behavior alre-ady!!!” She yelled out in tears
“If you’re getting sick then feel free to leave, at this point I don’t nee-d anyone,ion nee-d any companion, I just wanna be alone why can’t you get that” he yelled back
Betty looked at him in disbelief, she shook her head while staggering backwards in tears
“You’re not the Nathan I know, how can you change like this” she said between gritted teeth before turning around and leaving the room
She went to another room, slam the door and broke down in tears, slowly her back slid down the door and she sat hopelessly on the ground
“Why are you like this Nathan, why’s everything suddenly like this” she cried so much that she didn’t even know when sleep carried her

Police station**
Jasmine had alre-ady been sĀ£ntence life for murder, she was sitting on the floor like a hopeless person her hair, cloth everything was dirty, she blinked tears from her eyes
Some years back when she learnt of Clarie’s heart disease, she was happy so happy that Clarie would die soon and she’ll get the chance to be with Nathan
One day she went to visit Clarie, they had girl talk and drink their night out, Jasmine had spiked Clarie’s drink with a drug that reduces lifespan that’s why she died early if not she could have been alive up till now
Turns out it was all a waste of time, she spiked the wrong Clarie, Nathan heard about this when Clarie was about dieing, but Clarie begged him not to hurt her
“I’ve been a fool all this while, she was alive and was ma-king fun of us, well thank goodness I killed her with my own hands, even though I won’t be with Nathan at least I’ve killed her” Jasmine thought
“I really love you Nathan, I don’t regret anything I’ve done for you even if it cost me my whole life, even if I die and decay here I don’t regret killing that bit-ch for wasting your time and mine” she thought as more tears flow from her eyes while hvgging her knees ti-ghtly

NATHAN’S MANSION***
Next morning both Nathan and Betty ignored themselves, Nathan was the first to leave the house while Betty left with Regina
“Ion like any of these” Regina said inside the car
“I really don’t know what’s wrong with him, yesterday he told me to leave him alone don’t be knows he’s hurting my feelings day by day” Betty sniffed in her tears as she spoke
“Let’s give him few more times, wait for him to process everything happening I’m sure he’s still in a trance” Regina said and Betty could only just sigh
The car stĀ©pped at jr. Inc and Regina c@mĀ£ down, she waved at Betty before going in, Betty watched her leave abs sighed
“Go” she said to the driver, he nodded and began driving to star entertainment

FEW DAYS LATER**
TAMAYA MANSION***
Tamaya was talking with Gwyneth at the dinning
“I said no, mum” Gwyneth shouted
“What’s wrong with you, can’t you see now is the right time,Nathan is distracted I think you should sĀ£dƻƧĀ£him so you can get to marry him” Tamaya said
“I don’t want to marry Nathan, no!” Gwyneth shouted again
“Keep your voice down, you’ll wake Lisa” Tamaya said between gritted teeth but Gwyneth stood up
“I’m not marrying him, that’s final I’m gonna run away” she said and then made leave but some guards hold her down
“What the.. let go of me!!!” Gwyneth tried struggling
“I just want us to be richer, don’t follow Evan he’s a good for nothing. Listen to me whether you like it or not! I’ve been a good mother lately so don’t blame me for this” Tamaya said as she turned her back
“Lock her in the cold room, no food no water until she changes her mind” Tamaya ordered coldly
“Mom, mom stĀ©p let me go! Don’t do this to me mum!!!!!” She screamed in tears but her screams were ignored and she was thrown inside the cold room
