I could see the sky have the shades of pink and reddish hue, stating the dusk of the day.
I rode throu-ghthe busy street and almost knocked down some things because of the amount of speed i was taking.
I could feel Anna’s hand ti-ghten around my wai-st and her face was buried on my back in fear.
But to her mercy, i ignited the bike to a stop after arriving in front of a three hundred inches tall flat.
” We are here” i said taking off my helmets. She raised up her head and frantically stared at the tall building in front of her.
” You live here alone?” She asked ru-b-bing her wry dry eyes.
” No. I leave with my friends…alot of them stay here” i muttered giving a blank expression.
” Oh..then let’s go in quickly!!” She rejoiced like my house had turned into something amusing to explore in. ” Let’s go in quickly…stop hanging on there!” She waved her hand while jumping.
It was then that i realised i was still hanging on to my bike.
I came down the bike exquisitely and put my hands in the pocket while strolling towards her like a tall hot cucu-mber in white vest and pompkin jeans.
” So..who do you leave with?” She asked cranning her head to look at me as we made into the house.
” You’ll find out.” I replied and pushed the door open to one of the rooms inside the flat.
This apartment was made for my friend jade and i, the rest of the room contained the other gangs.
As soon as the door opened, anna scrimmage into the house before me even though she was standing behind my back.
Jade and Chris turned their heads skeptically from the t.v to find out who was standing at the door.
Meeting the tall and handsome :me and my short pretty girlfriend.
That was enough for them to crease their brows at.
I saw their eyes a-ssessing anna with the expression of ” what the damn heck!!”
” Justin!” Jade was the first to intervene. ” what the freaking hell is going on here?..Why is she here?!” He asked with a monologue look on his face.
” Mn. What’s the problem with that?.. Don’t you guys bring your girlfriend home as well?” i asked.
” Oh..i see” he said, his eyes as big as a full moon. ” Is this how you are going to end us in trouble…by bringing our enemy daughter down to our apartment. Does she know that you are the…”
” Hehe..Ahem!!” i quickly cut him off and turned around to face anna. ” Please..go upstairs. I’ll return to you in a minute”
Her face was trying to hesitate at the moment, but seeing the looks of my friends scary face, she obliged immediately.
” okay. But be quick!” She said and childishly ran up the stairs.
I stared at her for a moment with a smile until she was out of sight, but then, when i retreated to meet my friends gaze, my smile overturned.
” Geez justin…were you running insane!. After Eric warnings, you still had nerves to bring her into our room. That big bullshit, dude” Chris said crossing his arm.
” When they say love is blind, this dude is turning it way to another level. Love is bringing your death!. The police could be after us now.” Jade said cu-pping his cheeks in grief.
” Guys..Guys..Look..listen,” i sighed closing my eyes like i was trying to meditate on something before opening them up. I Opened my voiceless mouth to speak,,
” i think its high time i tell her about myself. i can’t continue to die in secrecy anymore. I took her on a date to tell her everything ”
” You want to tell her everything?..” Jade blurted in disbelief. He turned to look at chris who was putting on ‘ i don’t know what exactly is going on at this point’ – face expression.
” I’m sorry guys..but if things has to end here. Then maybe it should. If the police comes, I’m the one to be taken. I’m the billionaire son they’ve been looking for” i said and pressed my li-ps in conclusion before walking up the stairs.
” This dude is crazy” chris mouthed.
” i tell you. This is not the justin we know. He had many girlfriend on the past but none of them were able to change him into this suc-ked annoying good boy who seeks for change. He must’ve cherish this little girl alot” Jade said as they both returned back the the sofa.

I opened the door to my room and met anna sitting on my blanket that was placed smoothly on the floor next to a t.v with a game controller in her arm.
” Finally!!…you’re here!” Her face beamed making her big pink cheeks stand out. ” Come sit here let’s play a game” she said tapping the floor gently to where I’d seat.
I took off my sli-pper and was left with my socks on. I walked up to her but quickly halted a feet from her.
” is this part of your request also?” i asked folding my hands.
” Mn. It my last request” she said shaking her heads.
I was glad that it was her last request. As Soon as we’re done, I’ll pour out the forbidden fruit even though i was a bit scared to see her next reaction.
I sat next to her with a lazy expression on my face. I didn’t like playing video games, and now with the hu-ge problem at hand, it was even more tiring.
” Here. This is yours” she said handling the gadget like it was a chicken egg that needed to be handled with care.
I collected the game controller from her and stared at it lazily. Ahh..I’m feeling fed up with everything.
I don’t really know but i could verily sense danger coming. I could feel it…it was just knocking at the door.
Zaaaap!!.’ The t.v screen lighted up; drawing my attention. I turned my gaze to meet the t.v that was playing an unusual kiddies song.
” Yey!!. The lost princess and the monkey!” I twitched my head and saw how bright Anna’s face was.
What the?….out of all the games we could find in planet earth, this is the only one that caught her interest?
Wait..from which planet were people like anna extracted from cus however i knew that this game was rated for two years plus.
How come she…i have no words to describe this girlfriend of mine again.
” Justin are you playing at all?” She asked not taking her gaze off the t.v screen.
She was holding the controller with extensive care, swerving it sideways.
She even poked out her tongue to the left and hoped up like she was the character itself.
I just watched her every silly action while leaning my whole weight on my cheeks.
” Justin!..your character ain’t moving!. It Keeps falling into the same whole over and over again”
” it’s because its a nice hole to die in” i said with a funny sm-irk.
I didn’t want to turn my head back at that t.v but the funny noise it made again made me tilt my head up.
” Game over. The princess wins!” The computer said and anna jazzed up in a wink, hopping around like an excited little puppy who had at last found it owner.
” i won!!! I won this time!. I beat justin!!. Hippy!!” She rambled.
I sighed with relief. I didn’t compete the game with her becuse of two reasons.
One, so that the game would end sooner and I’d be able to report my forbidden fruit to her.
And two, I just felt it was silly playing such a kind of game.
i much enjoyed staring at Anna’s face than at the bright-dull screen displaying kiddies stuff.
” Anna..” i called retreating towards the bed. ” So..the thing i wanted to tell you..come over quickly”
She took a de-eper breath seeing the tension that was rising from my aura again.
She sat next to me and i quickly held her arm gently.
My heart was beating out of my ears and her eyes squinted worriedly at me.
I could already hear police horn ringing from outside the house making goosebumps to venerate my stomach.
It seems they came back as I’d thought. This time my fear increa-sed causing glistening sweats around my forehead.
” Anna..I’m sure you might have wondered why i crept up a face the moment i saw your dad. Anna..I’m actually the billionaire son..the criminal they’ve been searching for..the criminal who did all this horrible things..okay?..I don’t know how to be sorry for myself…but i hope you will show me a little sympathy…”
I was still emotionally speaking with her while staring at her complete daft expression before chris barge into the room in panic.
” Justin!..the police..army..everyone!. they are all behind the closed door…looking for you” he said pacing up for breath.
I quickly stood up perplexed.
” Where are the other boys?” i asked.
” They ran away. They’ve escaped!”
” stay out here with anna, please take care of her for me please. I’ll go meet them now.”
” No!!” Anna rushed to wrap me with her small hands.
I know everything was too much for her to un-derstand and digest. It was my fault for not telling her on time.
Everything at this point was happening too fast that i couldn’t predict the next thing.
” No…you can’t leave. You can’t…i wont let you step an inch away from me. F..fate brou-ght us here together…f..fate leads us to the end!” She yelled we-tting my vest with her tears.
I took up her chin and ki-ssed her we-t eyes. I ki-ssed out her glistening tears.
” i don’t have much time, Anna. Thanks for being the best girlfriend I’d ever have. i love you…”
The door began to creak open with for-ce. I told chris to find his way home while i kept on hu-gging anna in my arms.
” He’s in here!!” i heard the police say after the door had been thorn apart.
They to-re anna away from me before cuffing my hands behind my back.
” Criminal..” the police whispered in my ears.
I didn’t take my gaze away from anna…i didn’t want to miss that marvellous face of hers.
I was going to miss her from the de-eperest part of my heart. A tear drop fell my eyes as i was dragged away outside.
I was suprised to see the crowd waiting at the doorstep. Everyone felt shocked to see who the criminal was afterall.
I was pushed into the police cab and the only reflection i finally saw was anna..on the gla-ss as we drove away.

Was that the end?
Is everything happening really true?…is justin really behind the whole crime?
My own boyfriend that i de-eperly trusted?
If he is a criminal…how come he didn’t kill me?
How come he didn’t harm me after realising my father was after him?
No!!. He’s not a criminal. How can they say false things about him?
Why would they think of arresting him when he’s innocent?
Don’t they know he’s change now?
” Miss anna..your dad instructed us to bring you home. Plesse this way..” one of the men in army costume said, directing me towards the cab.
I went in without complaining and kept my blank expression simple..i looked like a drentched cat who turned into ice of a statue.
I was finding everything that happened utterly shocking. One minute i was having a nice time with justin..the next minute he was gone!.
i was finding it ha-rd to breath. I facepalmed myself and began to weep uncontrollably.
By the time i got to my home, i was externally and internally weak. I could have been blown away by a single wave of breeze.
Knock. Knock.
The soldier who brou-ght me home knocked twice before zoey came to open up.
” Mom…dad..she’s home..” He yelled and opened the door widely for us to come in.
” Anna…” my mom approached me, spreading her arms for an embrace.
I stepped a feet into the house and my next wobbling feet.
Before i reached her arms, i fell to the floor and pa-ssed out.

_ Chapter nineteen _
Anna ?
I suc-ked in some breath before blinking my eyes open.
Still, everything still felt blurry in my eyes because of its we-tness. My lashes were we-t like as if i had been crying earlier.
” Anna..” i heard my mom’s voice. I twitched my head and saw her sitting on the bed to my left.
” Mom..” i tried to make words but even my teeth were shaking like a kneading machine.
” Anna..you scared us. Why did you suddenly faint without warning?” My mom asked carre-sing the skin above my forehead.
” Mom..” i swallowed, picking up myself from the bed to sit. I ru-bbed my eyes and realised my dad was sitting at my right looking at me daringly.
” Mom..dad..Where’s justin?..Why did they take him away?” I started to rattle looking at each one of them.
Zoey presence was felt when he opened the door to my room holding a cu-p of hot tea.
” Anna..i think you need something hot to cool your mind” my dad said taking the cu-p from zoey to give me.
I collected the tea and dropped it aside before turning to each one of them.
” Tea won’t solve anything. Dad..i know you must have answers to these. I’m sure you know where they took justin to. Please tell them he’s innocent. He’s not a criminal!…Dad!!” I screamed holding his shirt while wobbling.
” Anna!” My dad cautioned staring at me with a displeased fatherly face. ” It’s our job to catch criminal and justin is not an exception.
‘ How can you be so careless to date such a kind of teenager..didn’t you hear what he did in LA?. He kept destroying his father’s property without any reason.
‘That just a complete definition of madness, anna. I made a mistake telling you that you were prepared to date, you still don’t know how to make choices.
‘ Maybe you’d wait until you’re done with highschool before you get a partner. You can cry all you want, for how long you wish but that guy deserves it. He deserves it, Anna.”
With all these words, i didn’t realise the tears falling down my wide open eyes.
My starry eyes…began to primp a reflection of moon and sadness.
He stood up and left my room to avoid looking at my teary eyes again.
” Anna..you have to take to heart. I know that someday…you’ll find someone more perfect that justin, okay?” my mom asked patting my shoulder.
I fell back in the bed and covered myself up like a cold lamb.
” I can’t find anyone like justin, mom. He’s my first boyfriend…we only spent twenty four hours in our relationship…not days..not weeks. How I’m i suppose to survive with that…”
” Well i can get you a new boyfriend if you want to survive..there are many jobless dudes living around the bridges lane..” Zoey snarled with a playful sm-irk.
” Justin…outta here!!” My mom screamed. He ran out and closed up the door with a loud thud.
My mom turned around and ki-ssed my forehead gently.
” Honey..in this life, Everyone get a broken heart sometimes. You don’t expect every relationship to be perfect. i know it will take time before you stand on your feet..but just be strong okay. More better things await an angel like you” she said and i curved a bitter sweet smile.
” Thanks mom..” i prawned while clearing the tears falling down my eyes.
She ki-ssed my cheekbone before standing to her feet.
” make sure you drink the tea before it get cold. Have a shower and take a sound sleep, okay?”
” Yes mom” i replied and the door hit against it hinge. she was gone.
I was alone now.
I turned around laying on my front as i cried out my eyes on my pillow, it almost felt as if the tears would never stop dropping.
I managed to drink the tea, it taste sour.
Eww…maybe my saliva was loosing taste because of my tears. i climbed down the bed and decided to take my bath.
While disposing my laundries, i came across something that made my leg tremble and my mouth dance.
It was the picture i had with justin at the pic studio that day.
He was cute in his teddy bear costume. He poked out his tongue and held out his ear like a monkey.
I saw tears roll down my eyes while it finally dropped down on the picture.
I carr-esed my hands on his face like i was wishing for him to pop out of the picture and hu-g me.
I turned to my ne-ck and took out the medal he had won for me. The funny food fight competition was a big blast for us.
We had lots of fun, i swear. ” Anna..you’ll remain my winner..” his words played like a music in my heart.
I placed these priceless possession in my to-do list pasted on the wall so that i could stare at them everyday of my life.
” Nice..” I formed a smile while staring at my handiwork. i had made a collage of us on the wall.
The next minute, my smile overturned and i facepalmed myself to weep over and over again.
Why can’t…the tears…ever stop!.

When light began to show at the corner end of the damp room…i realised it must have been morning already.
I stood up gently and reached my hands out for a stretch.
Sleeping in jail was almost like visiting hell to say hello.
It was only my first day but i was already feeling suc-ked out.
My body had lines resulting from the kind of bed i managed to sleep in. It was raw wood.
My ne-ck and head and everywhere screamed of excruciating pain. I stood up and head towards the sink at the corner of the room to wash my face.
The sound of the gate clang caught my attention and i quickly raised up my we-t face to find one of the police gangs standing at the open gate.
” Come out!” He ordered.
I sighed thinking it was one of their usual interrogation they did for me.
I followed him suit, out of the prison yard towards the station.
My whole world stopped existing when i saw her.
What was she doing here?
Oh..no..no. it better she goes or I’ll loose my temper right away.
” Son..” cheryl, my mom said as she approached me with her astonished face.
I turned around to leave and return back to the prison where might feel like heaven than to the hell of a home she might think of taking me.
” Justin..” she grabbed my arm and ran into me for a hu-g. She looked up at me again, touching my ne-ck and a-ssessing my body with her big excited eyes like a detective mother who didn’t want to see a single scratch.
” Why are you here!” I muttered scaring her old limbs.
” i came as fast as i could after hearing about your whereabouts. Justin..you wouldn’t know how happy i am to see you again after all these month. I was really worried”
” If you were worried, why didn’t you look for me?” I asked squinting my blazing eyes.
” Justin. Do you know what i pa-ssed throu-ghbefore that i could come down here?. Your dad seized my car keys, he locked me up inside the house so that i wouldn’t come search for you. How do you expect me to search for you without any of your whereabouts?”
” So?…you know my whereabouts now, I’m in prison. what’s your aim of coming here afterall?” I asked folding my hands lazily.
She turned around to meet one of the police in duty before whispering something i couldn’t fathom.
The police nodded. ” I’m sorry but his case is left for the judges to handle. His crime can at least land him in ten years prison”
I opened my eyes in shock. Ten Years!!..I’d have been an old granpy by then. what’s the piont of life anyways.
I thought i was the only one in shock until i saw how stiff my mom was on on the police desk but she retracted back to life a wink later.
” your time is up, madam.” A police approached us taking my arm rou-ghly.
” No..no..please..give me more time. I still have alot to tell him..please..” she begged.
” Come back another day!” The police yelled not giving a listening ear as he dragged me along the corridor.
” Justin!. Your sister is still alive!. She didn’t die, okay!!” Were the last thing i heard my mom say before her weeps and mo-ans followed by.

I kept whispering to myself as i hopped quickly down the school hall.
I looked at justin locker. It was next to mine laying their in it usual useless state.
I picked up my book and slammed up the locker before turning to leave.
I realised that during my walk in the hall way, everyone i pa-ssed by would see me and begin to whisper.
I got to cla-ss and turned out to find lot of student pilling themselves in group whispering about i and justin. I knew we’d be the trending news by monday.
I simply went straight to my seat pretending to be unaware of the whole situation.
I just hope tiana does not come anytime soon or I’ll be done with. But i was disappionted to hear her shoe heels’ clack on the school tiles towards our cla-ss.
I started my gaze from her long black heels up to her lenghty white soaks, her slim legs, her hip skirt..her slim wai-st then to her face. My eyes met hers.
It was as if she was wIting for me to a-ssess her gorgeous body she before would take her next move.
When our eyes met, her li-ps curled with excitment.
She decisively walked towards me and leaned on my table while staring into my big scared eyes.
” Hello little fella…Where’s your seatmate huh..oh oophs..he’s your boyfriend now. He didn’t come to school today?…or was it another reason like…he’s now probably in.. jail?” She asked stressing the word- jail’
I swallowed subconsciously looking at everywhere around but her.
Justin isn’t here to side or protect me. it seems I’m alone to fight on my own now. I don’t even have fighting skills like justin.
The rest of my life in school will be keen torturing…i can’t watch!.
