♥️ Final Chapter ♥️

~The Time For Justice~

????NARRATOR????

Heather walked in on her father talking to three armed men.

They were all on black; black suit and a black nose mask.

Two of them was holding their guns while the last one pocketed his gun and was rather holding a binoculars.

Their backs were facing the door where Heather stood.

She didn’t say anything or tried to interrupt them. She just stood against the doorframe and watch as her father give them some instructions.

Thirty minutes later they all walked out of the room, leaving just father and daughter.

Heather shut the door closed and moved closer to her father, folding her arms across her chest.

“What’s going on?” She asked.

Marco dropped his phone on the table and turned to face his daughter. “Nothing.”

“Nothing? I heard you guys, father…do you plan to betray Nelly?” She questioned, raising a brow at him.

Marco rolled his eyes, plopping down on the chair. “I’m trying to make things right, Heather.”

“By betraying her?”

“No. But by over smarting her.” He replied, pulling his legs on the table and leaning further into the chair.

“What do you mean?”

“Seat.” He offered. Heather hesitate for a while before sitting down opposite from her father. “I don’t trust Nelly.”

“Why? What did she do?”

“It’s not about what she did but rather about what she didn’t do.” He stated.

“I’m still confuse, dad.” Heather whispered.

Marco let out a sigh, dropping his legs down on the floor and sitting upright. “Nelly loves her nephew so much. She might deny it but it’s very obvious in her eyes. There is no way she’s going to hurt her sister talk more about hurting Ace.”

“So?” Heather pressed on.

“She won’t let us harm Ace neither will she let us hurt anyone close to Ace.”

“What are you trying to say in essence?”

“Don’t you get? Nelly won’t let us harm Ballerina and that’s because Ballerina is a friend to Ace.”

“But… I…did you catch her doing anything suspicious that won’t be to our favour?”

“No.”

Heather let out a sigh. “Dad! Why then are you suspecting her? It’s not like she did anything and besides Nelly will never betray us…you have her secrets and wrongdoings at your left palm and also, she is just like you…greedy, mean, heartless…”

“She has never killed anyone, Heather.” Marco cuts her off.

“Wait, what?”

“You heard me. Nelly might be feisty, mean…but she is very different from me. She is not a killer.”

“But wasn’t she the one who killed Ace’s father?”

“I was the one not her. I was the one who messed up with my step brother’s car and caused their accident not her, I was the one who killed Doctor Charles not her, I was the one who killed…”

“Claire.” Heather completed the sentence, still in shock. “So what have she been doing?”

“She have been the one telling me what and what not to do. Setting out my plans and bringing me out of troubles…but, Nelly isn’t as bad as she appears to be. Such a person can’t be trusted.”

“No, I can’t still believe that Nelly will betray us. I mean, we’ve all been in this shit for years now. She wants her sister’s husband riches and…”

“Nelly just want to be steps ahead of her sister. To Nelly, her sister is better than her and a great competitor…she is just someone who will do anything to be better than her twin sister. But what happens when your competitor never saw you as one? What happens when you realize that you’ve been pulling a rope with no one at the other end?” He raised a questioning brow.

“You give up.” Heather replied in a low voice.

“Exactly. And that’s why I’ve decided to change my plans without Nelly’s knowledge.”

“What do you want to do?” Heather asked.

Marco smirked, leaning back on the chair with his arms behind his head. “I can’t say much for now but all I know is…we shall be expecting a guest tonight.”

????ACE????

“Are you okay? Here,” She handed him a cup of warm water and sat down beside him on the couch.

“Why are you helping me?” Ace asked, drinking from the water then dropped the empty glas-son the stool by the couch.

“You are my nephew, remember?”

Ace scoffed, shaking his head at her choice of words. “I’m not.”

“Accept it or not, you still have my blood running throu-ghyour veins. If we even go to the hospital for some DNA, you will turn out to be my son as well.” She sighed. “My sister things are mine as well.”

Ace let out a de-ep breath, leaning his head against the headrest of the couch. “I hate you.”

Nelly nods her head. “I know. And I deserve it.”

“Is this your plan to kill me?” Ace questioned, surprise at her gentle words and calmness.

She wasn’t acting like a murderer or someone mean.

No one would believe that she could kill an ant talk more of killing a human.

She might not be the who killed his father but that doesn’t mean she isn’t guilty of any crime…like, the death of Charles.

Who killed him if not Nelly?

It can’t be Marco…or can it?

“If I wanted to kill you, you would have been dead by now then.” She nodded her head at the empty glas-scup.

She was right.

Ace huffed, staring at Nelly. “What’s there to be jealous of her about?” He asked, breaking the silence that had fallen between them.

Nelly hesitate for a while before saying. “Everything.” She paused. “She had the life I’ve always wanted. The perfect trio. The man of my dreams…the lovely little boy…You and your father was what I was jealous about.”

“What?”

Nelly smiled. “Dad always asked me what I wanted…he would say, Nelly, if you have a magical wand what will you wish for? Do you know what my reply was?” Ace stayed quiet. “I want to be in good terms with my sister. I want her to love me just as much as I love her…so that we can both be visiting each other when we grow up. And then he would asked me again, what is your dream aside from that?” She paused. “I want a happy family. A handsome man as a husband, a beautiful, gorgeous son…I don’t mind if we stay in a little apartment,,,I just want to have a perfect trio family,” She smiled. “that was my reply.”

Ace stared at her for a while, trying to see if she was being sincere with everything she just said…she was. He could see the sincerity in her eyes.

“Everyday…I will see Naomi crying in her room, at first I thought dad always beat her because they were never in good terms, although they always try to act lovely in front of me….but little do they know I’m way smarter than that.” He ran his we-t tongue across his dried li-ps. “I knew they weren’t happy. But I didn’t confronted them or said anything. One day, I went to meet Naomi as she was crying again, staring down at something.

I tapped her on her shoulder, calling out to her attention…she quickly wiped her eyes and turned to look at me, smiling.

She was smiling throu-ghher puffy red eyes, making her look very awkward and scary but I didn’t mind…she was my mother afterall.

I sat down beside her and held her hand then asked her one simple question, ‘Did dad do this to you?’

She quickly shakes her head no, frowning a little at my question. She asked me why I asked her that question and I told her everything; about always hearing her and dad argue, about how I knew her and dad are not in good terms…she called me a smart boy, pulling me into her arms.

She told me not to think about those things and focus on my future…she told me to always be happy.

So I asked her another question, ‘why are you crying, mom?’” Ace stayed quiet for a while before continuing. “She said, ‘It’s the price I have to pay, son’…she handed me a photo of herself and a girl that looked so much like her, I guess that person was you. She would always look at that photo and apologize while crying. She hardly stare at herself in the mirror because she was afraid of seeing her face…, her face always reminded her of you. She hardly eats chicken because they were your favorite. She was feeling guilty.

She hated herself for making you pas-sthrou-ghthose pains…

I might not have seen you before but I’ve heard a lot about you.

I thought she was the person who killed dad or better still, a witness to dad’s case but little did I know I was the one. I hated her for no just reason.

She wasn’t a bad person…she loved me, cared for me, she will always put me first before anything but I forgot those good things of her and replaced it with something else. Something contrary from her.” He sighed. “She didn’t introduce me to you not because she was trying to protect her secrets or anything but rather because you didn’t give her a chance to come into your life. Nelly, you weren’t jealous of her…you were greedy and wanted her life for yourself.”

“What?”

“Naomi didn’t destroy you or snatch anything from you…you destroyed yourself…you destroyed her…you destroyed everyone. Maybe if you were less mean and greedy, you would have had the life of your sister…the perfect trio family.”

“Wa…wha…how?” She stuttered.

“You said whatever belongs to your sister belongs to you.” That was all he said.

Nelly was still processing everything Ace had just said to her when suddenly her eyes went wide. “You’ve regained your memories.”

????BALLERINA????

“No way.” Paulo muttered under his breath.

“What is it?” Ballerina asked.

“Ace’s father wasn’t the target.” He said.

“Then who was?” Ballerina questioned.

Paulo trail the gaze of Marco which led him to someone else…the real target.

“You.” He stated.

“What?”

“Ace’s father died while trying to protect you, Princess. You were Marco’s target and not Mr Reyes.”

Ballerina abruptly stood up to her feet. “WHAT!?”

“Oh my God.” Paulo muttered under his breath, staring down at the laptop.

Ballerina was breathing heavily, her legs were shivering, her hands were shaking, her li-ps were trembling and her face were so pale,,,she was completely ghosted.

“He died… because of me?” Her voice came out huskily and dried.

Paulo looks up at her. “You don’t have to blame yourself for anything, Princess.”

He shakes her head, taking a step away from Paulo. “I caused him pain…he was broken about his father’s death…” She started panicking. “I… I killed…his…fat…father.”

Paulo stood up to his feet and tried to reach out to Ballerina’s hand but she quickly pulled away from him.

“You didn’t do anything. And stop, you will hurt yourself.” He stared down at her hand. “You are bleeding.”

“Stay away from me, Paulo.” She said, pleadingly as tears kept running down to her cheeks. “I…I want to be alone.” She stated, lowering her gaze to the ground.

Paulo’s phone started ringing, disrupting the intense atmosphere.

Paulo dug out his phone from his pocket and answered the call as soon as he saw the caller ID to be Ace.

“Ace, what’s…”

“I know their hideout.” With that, Ace hung up the call.

Paulo stared blankly at his phone before dropping it back into his pan-ts pocket and stared down at Ballerina who was sitting down on the cold tiled floor, sobbing.

“Princess…” Paulo tried calling out but she quickly cuts him off.

“Go…please. And tell Ace… I’m sorry.” She said not glancing at Paulo.

Paulo stood there for a while before walking out of the house.

Immediately she heard the open and close of the door, she lost it. She started crying out loud, placing her palm on her chest.

She was so hurt…No, not for her but for him. Ace.

If only he knew she was the cause of his father’s death…he would hate her and that’s for sure.

She hates herself right now.

Everyone are just dying and that’s because of her!

She is nothing but a cursed princess!!!

She doesn’t deserve the throne.

She doesn’t deserve to rule the community.

She deserve to be kicked out of the planet or get locked up in a dark dungeon and get forgotten by everyone… including him.

The guy she has fallen so hopelessly in love with!

She didn’t realize it until now.

She started having a panic attack…she couldn’t breath. Her eyes was so heavy and swollen. It felt like she was at the edge of cliff almost going to fall off.

She fell on the floor, still breathing very fast, she was sweating profusely.

“My princess…” She heard a voice said before everything went blank.

????ACE????

“What’s going on? What do you mean by you know where their hideout is?” Paulo questioned, grabbing the glas-sof wine and sipping it slowly.

Ace run his fingers throu-ghhis hair, huffing. “Nelly told me.”

“Nelly?” Paulo knitted his brows, confusedly at Ace. “Wait, are you talking about your aunt?”

“Yeah.”

“I thought it was your mother that called you over?” He questioned.

“I thought so too. But turned out it was Nelly.”

“First of all, what was she doing here? Second of all, why did she tell you about their hideout? Thirdly, what about Naomi?”

“First of all, she came over to get my signature on some papers. Second of all, we talked for a while and then, she asked me to stop her. Thirdly, Naomi is still with them.” He replied.

“What signature?” Paulo asked.

“My signature.”

“I know but what does she need your signature for?”

“She wants me to hand father’s properties over to her.”

“Did you?”

“Father’s properties is less of my concern, Paul. All I want is to get my father’s murderer and make him pay for everything.” He stated.

“Do you trust Nelly?”

“She isn’t yet bad, Paulo. She is just a woman who was so jealous of her twin sister. She isn’t a murderer. She didn’t kill anyone. The criminal here is Marco.” He sighed. “What about Belle?”

Paulo let out a de-ep breath, taking another gulp from the gla-ss. “She’s blaming herself for your father’s death.”

“What?”

“I said she’s blaming…”

Ace cuts him off. “I heard what you said but why? She didn’t do anything wrong. It was that psychopath that tried to shoot her, My father just did the right thing by saving her.”

Paulo furrowed his brows, staring at Ace.

“Why are you staring at me like that?” Ace questioned.

“You’ve regained your memories.” It wasn’t a question. Ace just shrugged, gulping down some water. “Wow, that’s amazing. Do you remember how you lost your memories? Did you hit your head somewhere?”

“Nah. That idiot injected me with something. Anyway, enough of that. We have to go to their hideout and capture that jerk. I swear I will kill that man if I set eyes on him.”

“Calm down. No one is killing anyone. We will let the law handle him. The time of justice is near. I will call Kat and ask her to bring some policemen over.”

“What about Belle? Will she be save alone? Or wait, maybe I should go to her first, right?”

“Don’t worry she will be fine. I left someone to watch over her.” Paulo said.

“Oh, okay.” Ace nodded his head. “So what’s the plan now?”

????BALLERINA????

She could hear something ringing, making her gro-an in pain and frustration.

Slowly she flutter her eyes open, looking around her environment.

She was obviously in her room.

She stared at the table beside her bed and sighted her phone ringing.

She moved towards it and picked it up _it was an unknown caller_ She swiped the call and answered it, quietly bringing the phone to her ear.

“PRINCESS!” A cheerful voice said at the other line, making her flinch a little. “You must be very surprise, right?”

“Marco?”

“Ah, you recognize my voice. Aww, that’s so cute.” He chuckles lightly, making her cringe.

“What do you want!?” Ballerina snapped out angrily.

“Hey, there’s no need to be violence, princess. If i were you I will reserve my strength for something more. Something better.”

“You psychotic bastard. You piece of shit! I hate you! How dare you call me you crazy old hag! You are nothing but an unfortunate bastard…a motherfu-cker! A cheap loser.”

He started laughing, annoying the hell out of Ballerina. “Wow…you must’ve miss me so much, dear niece.”

“Not in your wildest dreams. Do you think you will ever reign as a king? Trust me, you don’t deserve that title. You don’t even deserve the title of a palace guard. You are just an animal who escaped from the zoo.”

“Shut up!” Marco snapped out angrily. “Speak to me like that one more time and I swear I will blow off the head of your lover mother’s life!”

“Wait, what?”

“His father died because of you…and I’m sure you don’t want history to repeat itself again, right?”

“Let her go, bloody bastard!” She cried.

Marco started laughing again. “Are you crying?”

“You will rot in jail.” She said.

“Thank you for the compliment, darling. Anyway, I didn’t call you for all this shit but I called you for something much more important,” He paused. “Bring me the evident.”

“What evident?”

“I know you know just what I’m talking about, little princess. Or you think I don’t know about it?” He chuckles. “Look out of the window.” He Instructed.

Ballerina quickly got out of the bed and stared out of the window, she sighted three black men standing on a very tall building. One of them was staring at her throu-gha binocular while the other two was just looking straight at her room.

How long have those people been there?

Since she was watching that video with Paulo? Definitely since then.

“You were spying on me?” She questioned, stating the obvious.

“I got to do whatever to remain at the top, little princess. I told, a crown princess can’t rule the kingdom without her crown.” He laughed. “I have Ace’s mother in my hands and if you do anything stupid I will shoot her and you know what that means…Ace will lose a family because of you again.”

Ballerina clenched her fist, trying to calm down her nerves but she couldn’t. “What… what do you want?”

“Now you are talking. Let’s strike a deal, little princess.”

*****

Ballerina walked out of her room, putting on a black hoodie, she went closer to the laptop on the table and sighted the flash drive.

Fortunately, Paulo didn’t take it.

She pulled it out of the laptop and dropped it in her pocket.

She was about to walk out of the house when someone grabbed her by the wrist, pulling her back _Eva_

“Where are you going, my princess?” Eva asked.

Ballerina pulled her wrist from her grasp. “Out. where is Jersey?” She asked, pocketing her hand.

Eva had helped her treat the bruises while she was asleep.

“In her room.”

“Good. Can you do me a favour?”

“Of course my princess, what do you need?”

“I want you to take care of Jersey, okay?” Her gaze darted to something behind Eva.,she let out a de-ep breath. “I need to go out and um…have some fun.” She forced a smile to her face before walking out of the house.

Eva quickly dug out her phone and dialled a number, it rung for a while until it was answered.

“She’s gone.”

“Gone? To where?”

“I don’t know but she said something…she said she’s going to have fun.”

????NARRATOR????

“Ballerina is going there.” Paulo said, stepping on the accelerator, going ahead of the speed limit.

“What?” Ace questioned.

“Eva just called. She said Ballerina have left the palace.” He sighed. “Ballerina had told her that she was going to have fun.”

“Fun…? wait a minute,”

“Exactly. She’s going to their hideout. The amusement park.” He turned to the left direction. “She knew Eva was going to call us…that was why she gave us a clue.”

“But why will she be going there?”

“He must have reached out to her. I’m sure of it.”

“Have you called Kat?”

“They are already on their way.” Paulo stated.

*****

(WARNING: THERE WILL BE LOT OF BLOODSHED IN THIS SCENE… DON’T READ IF YOU GET TRIGGERED BY IT.)

Ballerina walked inside the secluded area, clenching her fist very tight.

She looked around the environment, breathing very fast…memories…

This place held a lot of memories…

After that incident the place have been shut down and no one is allowed in, that explains why Marco chose to use the place as his hideout.

~That idiot!

She walked into the room and sighted someone seated in a big chair, her hands were tied and her mouth was covered. A girl was standing behind her…she recognized that girl to be, Heather.

“Oh, here comes the bride.” Heather joked, laughing.

Marco swirled his chair, facing Ballerina, Nelly was seated beside him.

“You are here.” He smiled. “Come on in. Stop acting like a stranger.”

Ballerina gathered her strength and courage before going further into the room. “I’m here, now let her go.”

“You shouldn’t ask me that…but her.” He pointed at Nelly, who smirked at Ballerina and waved her hand. “She’s the one holding her hostage not me.”

“You sly bastard.” Ballerina said angrily.

“Hey, calm down. I only said those things just to get you here and hopefully, it got you here… all thanks to Nelly’s plan.”

“How can you be doing this to your own sister? your own flesh and blood!?”

Nelly laughed out loud, grabbing a glas-sof red wine and sipping it slowly. “I’m desperate. Although, I’ve gotten just what I needed.” She waved some papers in the air. “Ace is just so an obedient boy. I’m just waiting for Marco to do whatever he wants with you and get that fu-cking throne.” She said nonchalantly.

“YOU ARE A CHEAP bit-ch !” Ballerina snapped.

“You must be a very abusive person.” Nelly clic-ked her tongue, smirking.

“Where is it?” Marco asked, coming up to his feet.

“Our deal was simple, Marco. You hand Ace’s mother over and I will give you the evidence.” She stated.

“Well, how about a new deal? You hand over the flash drive or die!” He pointed his gun at her, glaring ha-rd at her. “Your choice.”

“You actually think I will choose my life over the evidence? Think again, bastard.”

Marco started laughing. “I love your boldness. But don’t you think it will be stupid to act this way?”

“you are crazy.”

“Hand over the flash drive, Belle!”

“DON’T CALL ME THAT!” She warned. “I won’t hand anything over to you not when I’m still alive.”

“Then so be it.” He was going to pull the trigger when he heard the cackle of a gun. He turned around to find Nelly holding a gun at Heather’s head. “What are you doing, Nelly?”

“Drop your gun, Marco.” She said to him.

“You betrayed me.”

“It’s hopeless, Marco. Fighting for what isn’t ours is completely hopeless and stupid! I’m tired, okay?”

“And you think betraying me is the only way out?”

She shook her head. “No. I think stopping you is the only way out! Just give up, Marco. Stop this shit. Because i definitely won’t let you touch her and neither will i let you touch my sister. You,” She turned to Heather who was raising her head up in surrender. “Unloose her.” She ordered.

“Father was right.” Heather scoffed, untying the rope from Naomi’s hand and mouth.

“What do you mean?” Nelly questioned.

“He said you will betray us. He was right.” She finished untying the rope and threw it aside.

“Nelly, what are you doing?” Naomi asked, standing up to her feet.

“I’m not doing this for you but for my nephew.” She huffed. “And, who told you to put your properties in my name?”

“How…how did you know?”

“Ace told me, okay!” She turned to Marco, she was still pointing her gun at Heather. “Let Ballerina go or I will shoot your daughter.”

Marco started laughing. “And do you think I care?”

“What?” BAM! He pulled the trigger, shooting his daughter straight at her chest. Nelly gasped in shock, pulling away from the lifeless body that just plopped down on the ground. “Did…did you just kill your own daughter?”

“Surprise! surprise! Surprise!” He chuckles, grabbing Ballerina by her wrist and tossing her towards Nelly. “I told you I’m desperate, didn’t I? Now drop your gun.”

Nelly hesitate for a while before dropping her gun down.

“Step away from it.” He ordered. Nelly stepped back from it, going into her sister’s arms.

“You,” He moved the gun towards Ballerina. “Hand over the flash drive, now.”

Ballerina gaze was resting at something behind Marco.

“Fine. Here,” She took out the flash drive and threw it on the air towards Marco…he was going to catch it but someone else beat him to it and caught the flash drive. “Oops, you missed.”

Marco turned around sharply and saw a guy standing in front of him, before he could even make a move, a punch has landed his face, knocking him off his feet.

Marco gro-aned, spitting out some blood from his mouth.

“You psychopath!” Ace pounced on him and started punching him on his face. Marco tried breaking free but Ace was just too strong. “Animal!”

“Ace stop!” Paulo warned, pulling Ace from bleeding Marco. “He’s not worth it. The police are here.” Kat and some men walked in.

“You are under arrest, Mr Marco for every crime you’ve committed and whatever you say or do will be use against you in the court of law.” Kat stated, approaching Marco while holding handcuff.

Marco started laughing, shaking his head as he stood up to his feet. “I can’t take the fall alone,” He winked at Nelly. “You have to come with me, partner.”

Kat was going to cuff him when he suddenly stabbed her with a pocket knife and snatched her gun.

She plopped down on the ground, lifelessly.

“KAT!” Liam yelled at the top of his voice, running towards her. Kat was coughing out blood, bleeding throu-ghher stomach.

Everyone’s attention were focused on the dying police when suddenly, a gun shot was heard from no where followed by another gun shot.

Marco gro-aned and plopped down on the ground, blood gushing out of his head.

“NAOMI!” Nelly yelled at the top of her voice, pulling bleeding Naomi to her arms.

“Hey, are…you…*COUGH OUT BLOOD* cry…crying?” She asked slowly, smiling.

“Stop talking. You will lose strength if you keep talking.” Nelly cried.

“I’m…sorry…I…I wasn’t the best… sis…sister in the world…but… I… I love you.”

“You are not the best sister in the one but you are my only sister in the world…please don’t die on me.” She sobbed, using a clothe to cover up the bleeding stomach.

“You…you are right….you said those I love will end up dying…I…i love you but guess what…. I love myself more.” She smiled.

“SHUT UP.” Nelly warned.

“MOM!” Ace yelled running towards them, he pulled Naomi to his arms. “Stay with me…please.”

“Thank you….for calling me mom….my darling son.”

“Stop talk… MOM!” She was no longer breathing… she’s dead!

“Take heart, man.” Paulo muttered under his breath, patting Ace on his shoulder. “Marco is dead….turns it was his daughter that killed him and then….she died.” He sighed, running his hands throu-ghhis hair. “He shot his daughter dead and she shot him before dying…what a complicated family.” He squee-zed Ace’s shoulder. “But in all of this…Justice prevailed.”

Ballerina ran towards Ace and pulled him into her arms, crying along with him over his lost.

“It’s alright, okay? Everything is going to be alright. Trust me.” She whispered under her breath, stro-king his back gently.

He might have lost his mother…his father…but he still have her _Belle_ the queen of his heart.

And no, she don’t need a crown or a throne to claim her place in his heart and that’s because his heart was already made for her.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, still crying over his lost mother. History repeated itself again _he lost his mother at the very same park where he lost his father, again_

The police walked over to Nelly and handcuffed her while some paramedic rushed over to Kat to take her to the hospital and as for Heather, Marco and Naomi…their dead bodies were taken away.

He will miss his family so much but at least he still have Ballerina and Paulo by his side.

And,

Paulo was right after all…in all of this, justice prevailed!
