“Darn it!” Dora shouted, running fast as her legs would carry her.
She suddenly remembered her luggage.
“What was I thinking? What have I been thinking? Today is the worst day of my life! If only I didn’t meet him. I regret meeting you….!!!” She yelled , still running.

Kayden rushed inside the house to see a lady sitting on his couch and sipping wine
His eyes widened and he felt his heart beat racing fast.
“Avia?” Kayden whispered.
Avia smiled.
“Hi, Kay…I heard you are back”
âDid you chase the girl outâKayden asked
âOf course….notâAvia said smiling
âArenât you happy to…see meâshe asked
“Huh yeah…Yah…I…I…came today…Why are you here? Iâm glad you are here. I’m just surprised…Besides, It’s late”Kayden shuttered
Avia laughed.
Kayden and Avia have been friend since highschool and sheâs also Kaydenâs first love
“You are so funny…then and now”Avia smiled
Kayden scratched his head.
“The welcome party is over though”He said
“I know” Avia replied.
“So, what do I owe this visit?” He asked.
Dora who was watching the two since was getting pissed off already. She had been watching them for a few minutes now.
She was about to rush for her luggage,, but when she saw Avia talking to Kayden, she hesitated. Because of it, She had to stay at a corner and eavesdrop on them.
She heard when Avia called him Kay.
“So, that’s his name…Kay but Who’s that girl though? They aren’t behaving like they are dating though…It’s a reli..
“Aiish! It’s not your business! Forget about it!. If he dates or not,, Its not your business!” She cautioned herself and slapped her mouth.
“Ow, that hurts” She groaned.
“Avia? You can tell me, what’s wrong?” Kayden asked, after the silence intervened for seconds.
“Are you still applying?” She asked, slowly.
“Huh?” Kayden widened his eyes.
“I want to work for you. So, do you need…
“Yeah!…I mean yes…yes, I do. You wanna apply?” He exclaimed cutting her off
“Yes, I’m also sorry for coming this late to request…
“No, It’s fine. I’m okay”he smiled
âWhy is he smiling like a foolâDora frowned her face
“No, It’s not that” Avia said, and swallowed hard.
She brought out her luggage she had been hiding behind her.
“Sorry, but can I stay for tonight? Something happened”
“Sure, no problem” He replied.
Avia smiled, warmly.
“Thank you so much. You are the best. I’m really sorry for the inconveniences”She said
“It’s fine. It’s my pleasure…Come in. I’ve lots of rooms” Kayden said and took her luggage.
Avia nodded.
As they tried to walk in, Kayden heard a familiar voice say;
“It’s a relief you have enough rooms. Can I stay tonight?”
He slowly turned his head, praying it wouldn’t be her.
“Hi, again” Dora smiled, at him.
Kayden looked at her, disturbed and quickly glanced at Avia who keep looking at Dora
“Darn it. Why now?” He muttered.
“Hmm…What that smell?…I think it’s coming from you” Avia said.
“What’s wrong her? She’s so rude” Dora said inwardly, and glared at her coldly.
Avia swiftly looked at Kayden.
“Kay?…Let her stay please? She also needs a bathe” She said softly.
“Huh?”
“Let both of us stay. We are gonna use the same room” Avia smiled and hurried to Doraâs side.
She linked her arms with Doraâs own.
“Oops…I think we both need a bathe now” Avia smiled.
Dora looked at her, in a silly manner.
“What’s wrong with her? Why is she acting so nice?” She thought.
“Uh…Okay then. Let’s go in” Kayden said.
“Yippee!” Avia gushed and took Dora in with their linked arms together.

Dora was still having her bathe under the warm shower when she heard a knock.
“Huh? Whoâs that?” She thought.
“Who is that?!” She asked.
“It’s me” It was Aviaâs voice.
“What? Avia? I don’t understand…That girl? What is she doing here? Doesn’t she know she I’m having my bath?” Dora thought, perturbed.
“What do you want?” Dora asked.
“Open up. I wanna take something in the bathroom” Avia replied.
“What!” Dora yelled, and opened her tightly closed eyes.
“Is she crazy?!” Dora thought aloud.
Because her eyes were opened, the foamy substance from the soap entered her eyes.
“Oww!” Dora whimpered and took her face right to the shower.
The water poured down directly to her face and she wiped her eyes with her palm.
“Hello, are you there?” Avia asked, softly.
“What did you say earlier?” Dora asked, thinking she heard wrong.
“I said I want to get something in else”
“What? What….what’s that supposed to mean? Hello, I’m having my bath Can’t you wait,, What’s wrong with youâ Dora scoffed
“Sorry, I was just trying to….We are girls anyways, what wrong with that?”Avia pouted
“Don’t act like we are close even though we are girls…I’m almost done. Just wait” Dora said, and after few minutes, she came out.
“Done” Dora said, looking at her.
Avia nodded with a smile. She went in and locked the door.
“What’s wrong with her? She gives me the creeps” Dora shivered and ran to the room.
There was a bed, a table, a chair and a wardrobe. Few essential things were also in the room.
She creamed her body and dressed herself before Avia came in.
She took her phone and went down stairs, to the restaurant. She met Kayden drinking alcohol
“Hey, what’s with you? Why are you drinking…this late?” She asked.
Kayden looked at her and returned back to his hand
“I can’t sleep.drinking this makes me sleep”
Dora sighed and sat close to him in another long stool.
“What do you mean? You must be tired. You had a long day today”
“How’s Avia ?” He asked, whispering.
“Why ask me about her? Do I look like a family or friend to her?. Who’s she to you, anyway?” Avia asked, taking a glass.
She filled it with whiskey and slowly took it to her mouth.
“She’s my first love…
Dora quickly spilled out the content from her mouth which poured on the huge table before them.
âI started having feelings for her since highschool”
“Why are you telling me?” Dora asked in annoyance.
“Cause you asked?” He replied.
“You shouldn’t have been honest then. Why didn’t you lie?,, It would have been better that way”she scoffed
“Cause I’m a honest person. So as you know, I loathe liars”Kayden said
“Aiish! You just ruined my night. She isn’t even beautiful”Dora frowned
“No. She’s very beautiful”Kayden said
“What about me? Ain’t I beautiful?” Dora asked, cutely.
“…No, you are just…there”Kayden replied
“What? Just there? You too….You aren’t handsome. You are just there”Dora yelled
“It’s a lie” Kayden said.
“Many girls are dying for me” He added, smiling.
“What are you talking about?” Dora asked, irritated.
“The truth” Kayden looked at her.
“Don’t add me amongst the girls. Girls might die for you but I can’t. I don’t even like you. I can’t even droll for you” Dora exclaimed
“Whatever. I don’t even want you or any other girl to like me” He said, laughing.
“Are you drunk?” Dora asked, noticing his weird attitude.
“I just want Avia to reciprocate my feelings”He said
Dora looked at him and bursted out into a hard and shrill laughter which jerked Kayden.
“Wait, Avia doesn’t like you? Ever since you knew her in highschool?”
“What? Is it funny?” Kayden frowned
“Yes. Very funny. I thought you said all girls were dying for you..
“Well, except Avia. Uurgh…I really want to ask her out again”He said
“Wait, Again??!. you’ve asked her out before?” Dora was still laughing.
“Stop laughing”
“Ah…Don’t tell me you got rejected?â
“This is so embarrassing. I’m gonna go back in to sleep” He said, and stood up.
He was even staggering.
“You look quite drunk. Should I take you in?” She asked.
“No, I don’t need your help, stalker!”
“What? Stalker?”
“Yes. Stalker. You stalked me, didn’t you? All the way from the airport to my house”Kayden said
“I don’t know what you are talking about. Being drunk is beginning to make you say trash. Go rest”Dora replied
Kayden scoffed and slowly turned. With his staggering body, he made to the stairs.
Dora smiled as she watched him.
“Good night!” She said, loudly.
Kayden turned his face to her. He smiled and waved to her.
“Good night, Avia”
“Eh..Avia? I’m not…. Avi..Just forget about it” Dora said and began to drink the whiskey on the table.
Kayden finally went up the stairs to his room.
“Such a day and night ruiner. He wrecker my day! Well, We won’t be seeing each other ever again from tomorrow since I will be going home. I also pray Avia reject and reject you again and again!” Dora yelled.
She returned to the drink and drank the whole bottle
“Urrgh…Why…Why is this not coming out? Aiish…Kay…That Kay…He’s the one who drank it all without telling me” She said, in a drunken voice
She put her eyes into the bottle opening and sniffed.
“That fool finished it. Why does he keep breaking my heart. Don’t worry, I’m gonna call my Mum and tell her…I’m gonna tell her everything. Then, she will have you arrested!” Dora yelled and started pressing her phone.
Bella opened her eyes the instant she heard the loud ringtone coming from her phone.
She quickly took it and happiness filled her heart when she saw it was from Dora. She accepted the call immediately.
“Hey bab….
“Mum?” Dora said cutting her off.
“Yes? Baby? It’s mum. Oh goodness. You have no idea how worried I was. How’s NY? You there, right? Where are you now? Have you gotten a lounge already? I guess it is early in NY seeing how you called me. Well, It’s late now in Ita..
Dora started crying.
“Huh? Dora? What’s going on? Did anyone..
“NY is fine. I’m also living well here” Dora replied.
“So, why are you crying now? You need more cash or what?”Bella asked
“No…I…I’m crying…because I…
“You miss me?”
“Not that”
“You naughty child. You need new clothes?”
“Nope”
“Then a guy got with you and quickly broke your little heart?”
“Ugh! Mum,, Stop. I’m just crying cause I miss Italy food”Dora sniffed hard, and wiped her tears.
“Huh?”
“I don’t like their meals here…itâs
Dora paused and dropped her face hard on the table. She was snoring now. She was sleeping deeply.
“Dora..Dora? Here we go again. Is it night over here too?. Well, good night? I’m gonna call you tomorrow. I guess the trip made you tired. Love ya” Bella smiled and cut the call.
Raymondâs father, Mr Coker slapped Raymond sending his face to the other side.
“Dad!” Renee shouted and stood up from the sofa and ran to Raymond.
“Are you alright?” She asked, trying to inspect his face.
Raymond looked away.
“Mum? Won’t you do anything?” Renee shook her head, disappointed.
“What do you mean? Your brother scammed one of your dad most loyal contractors. Raymond doesn’t deserve justice. He should be seriously dealt with” Mrs Coker said.
“If you don’t want him scamming people around, why not unfreeze his card. He has been having it tough lately” Renee said.
“Every time he is always spending his money on designers and everything worthless. I’m tired! That’s why I freeze his account and I won’t be unfreezing it anytime soon! Just take a look at what he wasted millions for! A worthless bike!” Mr Coker yelled
Renee sighed and looked at Raymond who was staring hard at the floor.
“Raymond? If you want your card unfreeze..Kindly sell that motorcycle” His mother convinced.
“I’m tired of you guys unnecessary scolding, drama and disturbance. Take the card, I don’t need it… I can keep my bike now, right?” Raymond said, and dropped the ATM card on the glassed transparent table which was in the middle of the huge sitting room, close to his father.
Mr Coker laughed.
“So, how are you gonna live now, huh? You are gonna keep on scamming and stealing? I can’t wait to see you beg and rot in jail”he smiled
Raymond sniffed.
“Forget about it,, I’m going out to work. I’m gonna make money. Have a good day ahead!” He said and stormed out of the house.
Mrs Coker sighed heavily. She wondered what kind of son she bore. Renee was much more different, in a better way.
“You guys aren’t going to do something? Darn it!” Renee shouted and took out some cash from her purse.
She quickly ran outside.
“Raymond! Wait!” She screamed.
Raymond didn’t reply. He put on his dark heavy helmet, sat on the motorcycle seat, started the ignite and zoomed off in speed.
“Geez…Raymond. I wanted to give you money for gas. When last did you get your bike gas tank filled?” Renee murmured, watching him leave sight.
