Tessa quic-kly stood up.
“I can exp-
“Don’t come close!!” Doris yelled and clenched her fist with her eyes getting w-et alre-ady.
Tessa sighed de-eply.
“How dare you do this to me? I’m your sister so why break my heart? Why didn’t you call me here to this… meeting? Why did you exclude me? You even brou-ght in Vera? So annoying” Doris shook her whole b©dy.
“Huh. Hmm… Doris,, Its not what you think” Tessa said.
“I hate you!” Doris cried and ran out.
Tessa was about running to meet her but Connor quic-kly gr@bb£d her arm.
“What are you planning to tell her when you meet up with her?” Connor asked, softly.
“What?” Tessa raised a brow.
Jake looked down and his eyes fell upon Connor’s hand which was clenching on Tessa’s arm.
“Are you gonna invite her in here?” Connor asked.
“Hmm. I guess not. I’m gonna explain myself to her later” Tessa said.
Connor nodded and his hand left her.
“So, what do you think I am, guys?” Tessa asked.
“Hmm. Before you started having these effects. What took place first?” Vera asked.
Tessa inhaled de-eply as she tried to remember.
“Oh… I was drinking lots of water and it was the instant I clocked 18”
Vera bit her lowerl-ip.
“Its so confusing” She muttered.
“What?” Tessa asked.
“I really don’t know what you are” Vera shook her head.
“What do you think, Jake?” Vera faced him.
Jake just shrugged his shoulders.
Vera looked back at Tessa.
“Guess no one knows”
“But you don’t have to worry, We are gonna help you find out” Connor said.
“Thank you” Tessa smiled.
“But,, Tessa. Do you have super strength?” Nora asked.
“I don’t know,,, I’ve never tried fighting before” Tessa replied.
*Kkrrrrrrr*
The school bell sounded heavily.
“Whoa! School is over!” Nora je-rked.
“The best time of my life” Vera smiled.
“Vera?” Connor called.
“Hmm?” Vera looked at him.
“Mom said she won’t be coming over. It’s left for us to go home on foot” He said.
“Why won’t she be picking us?” She demanded.
“She’s busy with work” He replied.
“Just go without me. I’m gonna come home soon”
“Why aren’t you coming now?”
“I and my friends have something to do”
“Something like?”
“Aish! Can’t friends make a day out to have fun?… Why are you even questioning me like I can’t take care of myself?” Vera asked.
Nora chuckled.
“Hey. Nora!” Vera screamed.
“Sorry. Sorry” Nora rushed her words.
“Let’s go” Vera said and left.
Nora smiled at them before following her. Connor sighed and shook his head, watching them.
“Hey, Its gonna be fine. Besides, she’s a vampire. She can’t be hurt” Tessa said to him.
Connor nodded and left.
Tessa smiled and was about leaving when she noticed Jake wasn’t coming. She stopped and turned back.
She saw him facing the window with wind scattering his hair and bringing out his glowing face.
“Hey!” Tessa shouted.
Jake turned her head to her.
Her face beamed which made Jake’s heart flutter.
“Aren’t you coming?” She asked.
Jake blinked his eyes recklessly.
“Go on. I’m gonna come out later”
“Hmm… Okay. If you say so” Tessa said and left.
Jake arched his brows and to-uched his che-st.
“Gosh. What was that?”
He inhaled de-eply before leaving.

“Laura?” Tessa ran after her.
“Yes?” Laura answered.
Tessa pa-nted heavily.
“Doris… Did you see Doris?” Tessa asked.
“Huh? She alre-ady left. Didn’t you see her?” Laura asked.
“Darn it!” Tessa said and ran out.
“Geez. Why did she get that angry?” Tessa thought and ran away from the scene.
She went outside the school and looked around, breathing heavily. Her eyes didn’t even catch a glimpse of Doris.
“Where’s she now?” Tessa thought.
She swallowed ha-rd and decided to use her powers. Immediately, her mind settled down, She saw Doris walking down the road, back home… to their new place.
“Aish! Why did she leave without me?” Tessa thought running fast.
As she was running, She was about to sli-p but someone quic-kly gr@bb£d her bag stra-p allowing her to suspend on the mid air. She swallowed ha-rd and looked up to see Connor looking at her.
“Co…nnor?” She stuttered.
He blinked his eyes.
“Why are you running that fast? You wanna get yourself injured?” He asked.
“Huh…No,, not exactly… Huh… can you let go of my bag? I don’t want it getting damaged” Tessa said.
“Okay” Connor simply said, and let her bag go. Tessa wasn’t so quic-k in bouncing back up so she felt her whole b©dy di-ving back to the ground. Her eyes wi-de-ned the more as she felt herself rushing to the ground.
Connor wi-de-ned his eyes and rushed to her like the speed of light. He caught her immediately and Tessa looked up.
He was holding her w@!st while her hands were up. She looked at his handsome face and swallowed ha-rd.
“Don’t… let go of me, plea-se” She whispered.
Connor whose face was facing down at her directly blinked his eyes nervously.
“Huh?… I… don’t un-derstand”
“Take me back up. I don’t wanna fall” Tessa said.
“Oh…” Connor muttered and with his hand still around her w@!st, he drew her back up before slowly letting go of her.
“Thank you” Tessa smiled.
Connor nodded.
“You are welcome” He replied and walked away.
Tessa nodded and started walking as well. After few minutes, Connor stopped. He looked back and saw Tessa looking from where she stood.
Connor arched his brows and took his face to the front. Soon, He continued walking. Few minutes later, He stopped again and faced back to see Tessa standing.
“What’s this? Are you following me now?” He asked.
Tessa clenched her fist nervously and chuckled awkwardly.
“No. I’m actually going home” She replied.
Connor scratched his head and poinred in front.
“This isn’t the way to your home though”
“Yeah… but it’s the way to my new home”
“What?” He shook his head and Tessa inhaled de-eply getting re-ady for explanation.

“Uurgh!” Mason gr-unted painfully and entered his room. He went to his be-droom and sat down on the wooden chair facing a hu-ge mirror.
His face was a great definition of sickness and weakness. His face was pale fully sick. Hisl-ips were dry, cracky and white.
His eyes were inside and his eyes bags were alre-ady sagging. He was weak and in great pains.
“How much longer am I gonna hold this? I nee-d to do something” He thought.
He stood up and started muttering out magic spells. He was going to take out the venom by all means. His eyes and hair suddenly got pure white.
He was still muttering those strange words when he saw the metallic liquid leaving his skin pores.
He started magically controlling it on the air. He smiled at himself but suddenly, the venom rushed back into his b©dy like it was magnet.
Mason collap-sed to the ground and mo-aned in pain.
“fu-ck!” He blurted lowly, sweating profusely.
“I guess he was right. It can’t be re-moved. What did he fu-cking do to me? I can even notice my powers getting slimmer” He said to himself.
“I nee-d to get Jake to him but how?” He thought and sighed.

“My lady, you are back?” The head maid bowed low.
Mabel who was a care free and vibr@nt type just ignored her and walked past her.
“Huh? What’s wrong with Miss Mabel?” One of the maid asked, from the distance she stood.
The head maid shook her head and faced back to see Mabel rushing upstairs,, to her room.
Mabel walked to her down and turned the sign up on her door “Do Not Disturb” and went inside.
Immediately she went in, She flung her bag away and jumped on her hu-ge puffy be-d even with her shoes and stockings on.
She la-id her face down and placed a pillow on the back of her head. Soon, she began to cry loudly.

“What’s wrong with Mabel? Why would you suddenly say she isn’t interested anymore?” Nora frowned.
“I noticed she seems out of it. Anyways, I wanted her to come along. Guess we will have to go to the amusement park whenever she’s re-ady” Vera said.
“We alre-ady planned this. Let’s just go without her. Maybe next ti-
“No. Let’s Mabel get back on her feet first. You know she’s our friend” Vera tapped her shoulder
Nora inhaled de-eply.
“Well, you are right”
“Sure” Vera win-ked.
“Okay then. Guess we will have to go home” Nora said and Vera nodded in agreement.

“That’s my place” Connor pointed.
Tessa nodded and pointed few blocks down.
“And that’s mine”
“Okay then. See ya” Connor waved and walked away.
Tessa smiled at waved back before walking back home

“Where’s she?” Tessa looked around the beautifully arranged new home.
She had been looking for Doris around but couldn’t find her.
“Where’s she really?” She sighed.
She quic-kly used her powers to find where Doris was.
“Oh no!” Tessa quic-kly c@m£ back to her s-enses.
“Doris!” Tessa screamed and ran out of the room, outside.
