“Good afternoon ma’am”. They chorused, greeting the sorrowful looking woman.
Her hair was scattered all over her face, dry and fresh tears stained her beautiful face. She didn’t respond to their greetings she just continued staring at the both of them.
“Ma’am I, we..”. Belinda Belinda struggled to speak and then she kept quiet when she realized she had nothing to say.
“Belinda”. Mrs Dubae called recognizing her, she let out the tears she was trying to hold.
“It’s going to be fine”. Belinda said running up to her and quickly embarra-ssed her, she couldn’t watch Mrs Dubae cry.
Belinda saw her as an innocent woman who didn’t deserve all of this, still hugging the woman ti-ghtly Belinda didn’t know when she joined her and also started crying.

Diego laid flat on his bed while his friends including Bryan where sitting on the couch while some sat on the ground.
“Diego I know you’re going throu-gha lot but you’ve to put yourself together, if you’re like this how will your mom be,?”. Bryan advised staring at his red and swollen eyes.
“Where’s she?”. His voice came like a whisper, this was the first time they heard his voice his was mute since when he opened the door.
“Maybe in the sitting room, that’s the last place I saw her”. Micheal quickly answered. He gently climbed down from the bed and left the room without saying a word to anyone.

Alicia just stood there watching the emotional drama between Belinda and Diego’s mom. “Why’s Belinda acting as if there are so close to each other”. Alice thought with a de-eper frown on her face.
She didn’t like the fact that she knew almost everyone around Diego, she was jealous, yes she was, why shouldn’t she be jealous, she felt like Belinda was about to steal something from her and the feeling kept going throu-ghher head, it was so annoying.
Anger started boiling in her as she kept watching them, so she just moved her eyes away. Staring away from them her eyes saw someone she has prepared to see today, she wanted to know how his doing, she really cared about him so much. Her courage died down as she stared at him while he walked towards their direction.
The three bu-ttons on his shirt were undone and his black hair scattered, covering one of his red eye.
Alicia couldn’t tell if it was her feelings for him but he was looking really handsome as ever.
Diego continued walking paying less attention to the staring girl, getting to them he saw his mom hugging someone as they cried like mother and daughter a frown appeared on his face as he walked closer to them he called.
“Mom”. Belinda released Mrs Dubae from the hug and turned around, all Diego’s attention was on his mom she was looking really awful, since yesterday he didn’t care to check up on her or Liam.
He really wanted to get those bastard that did this to his family and break their bones until it has no life.
“Son”. She called as she tried cleaning her tears but many more kept pouring out.
“I’m really sorry, I’m sorry”. She added in tears.
“Stop saying that”. Diego said embracing his mother.
Belinda bowed her head and tried whipping her tears, just then did Diego notice Belinda’s presence.
“Mom please go and shower, I’ll have them get you something to eat right away”. Diego calmly told his mom.
“Where are you going?”. She asked staring at him with her sparkling eyes.
“I’m not going anywhere, just rest mom, the visitors are enough for today”. He explained.
She nodded her head and Diego quickly instructed one of the maid who was standing there and she quickly took Mrs Dubae by her hand and lead her into the room.
Diego stared at his mom as he walked away, he knew she was going to continue in tears but it was okay he will surely get to the root of this.
“How are you doing?”. Alicia voice broke his thought, he turned to her and stared away without responding to her.
“Why are you crying?”. He asked Belinda with a frowned face.
“Nothing, I’m fine”. She tried whipping the tears with her head bowed.
Diego took his both hands and held her cheek and then he asked. “Are you owing my dad?”. He asked allowing a quick smile pa-ss throu-ghhis li-ps.
Diego couldn’t explain but he felt better when he saw Belinda, it was good to know that she cared.
“Come here”. He said taking her head and placed it on his che-st as she continued to cry.
Alicia kept staring at them, she couldn’t believe what her eyes were seeing, it was like a dream to her, like the cold and grumpy Diego is behaving all nice to Belinda.

Alicia and Belinda walked throu-ghthe street hoping they will see a cab, Belinda kept staring at Alicia hoping she wasn’t angry.
Belinda was really bothered by the feeling that she was starting to feel comfortable around Diego, with the way Alicia held a serious face, she decided to speak first.
“Are you angry?”. Belinda questioned the frowning Alicia.
“Why were you crying so much?”. Alicia fired.
“I don’t know, I just got emotional and I”….
…
“Do you like Diego?”. Alicia interrupted trying to hide the anger in her voice.
“Hey! Why will you ask such question?”. Belinda half yelled.
“Why won’t I, I don’t like the way you’ve been moving around him, everything that’s happening lately is enough for me to ask”. Alicia fired.
“No I don’t, I mean me and Diego are not even friends you’ve to believe me”. Belinda tried to explain.
“It’s okay, it’s fine don’t say a word anymore”. Alicia said stopping a cab.
1 Month later ?
All the Dubae family including the relations all stood in front of coffin wearing all black, Mrs Dubae didn’t want the funeral to be crowded. The priest did all the necessary and Mr Dubae was buried, students of Asian Tado were not invited but they sent their condolence.
Mrs Dubae didn’t want any more of people’s consoling words so she left with her little boy immediately the funeral was over, Diego’s and his cousins stayed behind to do other things.

“How have you guys been? I’ve missed you guys so much”. Bella yelled into her phone, she was on a conference video call with Alicia and Belinda.
“We’re fine”. Belinda replied smiling.
“How’s your exam preparation going?”
Alicia asked lying on her bed while eating chocolate.
“It has been really stressful, I can’t wait for the exams to be over already”. Bella complained.
“Oh I’m really sorry about that, that’s how my sister feels too, she has been studying so ha-rd this days”. Belinda explained.
“So what’s the reason for the video call?”. Alicia asked impatiently.
“Okay I decided to take a break from studying, because of my up coming birthday”. Bella said in excitement.
“Wow that’s good news”. Belinda said smiling really happily.
“So how are you celebrating? Pool party, house party, clubbing?”. Alicia asked.
“Oh I’m just going to have fun with my friends, like memorable moments I’ll be remembering when I’m in the university”. Bella explained.
“So when is your birthday?”. Belinda asked.
“It’s on Saturday so I just called you guys so you could get ready, I’ve always invited Sam and Jude”. Bella informed.
“Just Sam and Jude?”. Alicia questioned.
“Alicia what’s your problem”. Belinda asked Because it was obvious that Alicia wanted to just tease Bella.
“Uhm I kind of invited someone”. Bella shly said.
“”Who?”. Belinda and Alicia quickly questioned.
“It’s…. It’s Alvin,i met him when I went shopping so I told him about my birthday and he promised to come”. Bella narrated.
“Awwn, Alvin has always been kind hearted”. Alicia commented smiling, while Belinda went silent at the mention of Alvin’s name.
She has also thought he was a kind person until that day at the hospital.
“Okay then, till on Saturday then, I’ve to hang up now, I’ve other things to do”. Alicia said.
“Okay then bye”. They all said their good byes before ending the conference call..
Almost immediately Alicia called Belinda who was about to walk out of the room, Belinda stared at her phone wondering why Alicia is calling immediately they just ended a conference call.
