“I don’t un-derstand”. Diego yelled at the doctor.
“Diego please calm down”. Michael tried to calm him down.
“Don’t tell me to calm down, do not, my father has been in this hospital for three days and you’re still telling me that there’s no improvement, what the hell!”. Diego continued yelling, anger was written all over him.
“Then why do you call yourself a doctor”. He added with anger burning in his eyes.
“Diego that’s enough”. Daniel yelled back at him.
“Mr Dubae it’s not our fault, your father is in a very critical condition and we’re trying our best to save his life”. The doctor calmly explained.
“Just get out!”. Diego yelled not wanting to hear more rubbish from the doctor.
“Diego I un-derstand how you feel but please try to control yourself”. Daniel pleaded.
“I swear, I swear with my life if anything should happen to my father who ever did this will regret the day such thought entered into his/ her mind”. Diego said sitting on one of the chairs, trying to control his anger.
“Water?”. Caleb offered him a bottle of water, Diego collected it and drank all the content.
“Just calm down nothing is going to happen to your dad, his a strong man remember”. Michael encouraged.
“Where’s your mom by the way?”. Gab asked looking around.
“She haven’t slept for days, so I ask her to go home”. Diego said moving his hands up and down his hair.
“Oh I see”. Gab responded ru-bbing Diego’s back.
“Ring! Ring! Ring!”. Came the loud sound from Diego’s phone.
“Whose calling”. Michael asked as usual, he always likes interfering in Diego’s case.
“I guess it’s Alvin, maybe he wants to say Hi”. Caleb said trying to stare into his phone.
“It’s an unknown number”. Diego said before answering the phone.
?”Hello”. Came a female voice.
? “Who’s this?”. Diego asked with a frown on his face.
? “I’m.. I’m Alicia, I just wanted to say hi”. She rushed her words.
? “Alicia?”. Diego asked trying not to get angry again.
? “Yes we attend the same school, I was the girl that gave you a cu-p of coffee at the camp”. Alicia explained.
? “Coffee, oh “. Diego said remembering her.
? “I want to ask about your father’s health”. She cheerfully said.
? “How did you get my number?”. Diego rudely asked already angered that someone like her has his precious phone number.
? ” It’s… It’s, I got it from a..a friend”. She stuttered.
? “Which friend?”. He asked staring at all his friends sitting around him.
? “Belin.. Belinda, I’m Belinda’s good friend”. Alicia explained.
? “Hmm, Belinda, interesting”. Diego said resting his back on the chair.
? “Yes, so how’re you doing?”. She asked smiling.
? “I’m fine and busy, so I’m hanging up”. Diego said ending the call without hearing what else she has to say.
“Who’s that? I heard Belinda’s name”. Caleb hurriedly asked.
Daniel just sat there waiting for Diego’s response.
“Belinda loves daring me, it seems she enjoys my punishment”. Diego said with a sm-irk plastered on his face.
“What did she do this time?”. Michael questioned.
“I don’t want to say, I’m stressed and I want to rest”. Diego replied resting his head on the chair with his eyes closed.
“Crazy boy”. Daniel cursed.

Next morning ?
“Phew!”. Belinda released her breath as she walked into the school building she just hoped she finds Alicia in school today.
“Oh my, what?”. Megien yelled with her phone on her ear.
“Babe what happened?”. Lily asked in curiosity.
“Oh my goodness”. Megien yelled again causing her friends to stare at her.
“I can’t believe this”. She added.
“Believe what?”. Celyn asked in confusion.
Belinda just kept staring at them without saying a word, she didn’t want to leave either she just stood there staring at them.
“Megien talk to us, what’s up?”. Lilly asked.
“Gab just called me, he told me that Diego’s father is dead, Diego just lost his dad”. Megien yelled leaving others in shock along with Belinda.
“Oh my God, I saw this coming”. Lilly murmured.
“My mom also told me that he wasn’t responding to treatment, that he was shot in a very bad sp-ot”. Celyn added.
“What? Diego’s father is dead”. Belinda murmured to herself before walking pa-ss them.

Alicia sat in the almost empty cla-ssroom, the students that attended school today where really few.
Alicia heard quiet steps behind her and she immediately turned around and found Belinda walking into the cla-ss.
“Bel come sit here”. Alicia said tapping the chair next to her.
“Hi”. Belinda greeted taking a sit next to Alicia.
“I swear the cla-ss is so boring, please give me some gist”. Alicia said closing her book.
“You’ll not want to hear what I heard just now”. Belinda said dropping her school bag.
“What did you hear?”. Alicia asked with a frown on her face.
“I heard.. I heard that Diego’s dad is dead”. Belinda dropped the bomb.
“What? Are you for real?”. Alicia asked urging her to stop if it was a joke.
“I’m serious, I heard it from Megien just now”. Belinda seriously said.
“Oh my this is bad news, I don’t know how my Diego will be doing, I mean how will he be feeling”. Alicia said with a sad expression on her face.
“He will certainly be in a bad mood”. Belinda said resting on the chair.
“The both of you get out of my cla-ss, I’ve no time for fools”. The male teacher who was standing in front of the cla-ss all this while yelled at them.
“Let’s leave”. Alicia said picking up her bag as they both left.

Screams, tears and loud voices could be heard in the Dubae’s mansion, sorrow was all over the atmosphere as the little boy moved his eyes around, without being told he could tell that something was wrong.
The little boy didn’t know exactly what was wrong but he wanted it to end, unknown people kept walking in and out of their house, he couldn’t wait for his dad to return and put things in order, the little boy believes that what his dad can’t do doesn’t exist.
In one of the rooms Diego sat on the cold ground behind the locked door, his friends kept speaking to him from out side but he paid deaf ear.
He felt like he was dreaming, he still couldn’t believe it, he couldn’t un-derstand why the man will leave this earth by this time, he was confused, sad and angry.
“Why couldn’t you fight for your damn life, why didn’t you struggle to live?”. He yelled in so much pain.
“Are you happy? Now that everything has falling apart are you happy? You better stand up and walk back home before I finally believe you’re dead”. Diego spoke as if his dad was listening.
“I know it’s a lie, you can’t die this soon. you betrayed me, mom, Williams and everyone that had trust in you”. Diego kept talking to himself like a mad person.
“Why do you’ve to die? Why?”. Diego thun-dered with his eyes soaked in tears and his hair wert from the heat that ran from his head to his face.
“Where’s he?”. Bryan asked the boys who were standing in front of the door.
“I rushed in immediately I heard the news”. Bryan said staring at the boys.
“He has refused to open the door or even speak to anyone”. Caleb answered.
“Hey Diego, bro!”. Bryan knocked ha-rd on the door.
“Just forget it, he won’t answer you, we have been trying for hours”. Daniel said sitting on the floor.
“Oh God, I can’t believe this”. Bryan said ru-bbing his head with his palm.
“I can’t believe it either, I feel he will just walk in here anytime and speak with that his grumpy voice, I don’t believe his gone I swear”. Caleb said with a sad face.
“What’s going on? What did I hear”. Megien yelled running up to them with her friends tailing behind her.
