“Where is Thea?” Mr. Charles inquired from the junior she was sitting with when last he saw her, the show Is going to begin in ten minutes where could she have run off to?

“She hurriedly went to her office to get a file,” the girl answered. “How important can the file be to make her leave at this crucial moment?” Mr. Charles wondered as he picked up his phone to dial her number.

He paced in front of the girl as he waited for her to pick up, the junior suddenly noticed her phone blaring beside her.

They must have left it when she dropped the files, she called his attention to the blaring phone, “I think you should stop Mr. Charles, she left her phone.”

Mr. Charles growled lowly as it angered him, her absence is going to hurt the how and the company.

“Get someone to look for her,” he ordered and walked away.

While back in the files room was Thea throwing invisible daggers at Cisco with her eyes.

“How could you shut the door? Are you daft? Why will you shut the door? Why are you here in the first place? Why do you keep following me?!!” She screamed her lungs out as she had the urge to rip him apart.

“Why are you mad at me?” Innocent Cisco asked with his li-ps slightly pouted like a kid, Thea growled and march towards him but he hurriedly stepped back.

“Why am I mad at you?” She scoffed, she was burning in rage but there was no way to vent it.

What if she loses her job? What is she going to do if Mr. Charles decides to suspend her?

Must Cisco always ruin her life? Must he always show up from the pit of hell to give her a taste of hell?

“You locked us in!” Thea blurted furiously. Cisco pouted in realization, for some ununderstandable reason he was delighted.

“Is that a smirk?” Thea pointed her index finger dangerously at him, she is going to rip him apart if she gets hold of him.

“No, why will I smile when there is a possibility we are spending the night here,” he feigned concern, though dip down he wanted to spend the night with her.

Thea withdraw her finger and held her forehead worriedly, “It is almost time,” she mumbled.

A few minutes later Thea paced around the room while Cisco rested his back on the wall, he would have sat down but Thea would realize he found their unexpected situation comforting.

Thea ran her hand throu-ghher body in search of something, she gasped loudly.

“My phone! I don’t have my phone!”

“Why do you need your phone?” Cisco asked and she stared weirdly at him.

“Have you suddenly become the dumbest person on the planet?”

Cisco stepped away from the wall but stopped when she was a few feet closer to her.

“Why are you being ha-rd on me? I am just a normal guy trying to help but you have done nothing but speak harshly toward me,” he stated

Thea opened her mouth to talk but he gestured at her not to, she closed it slowly waiting for him to utter something reasonable.

“You are forgiven,” Thea scoffed loudly, has Chloe brainwashed him or what? What makes him think she was going to apologize, why would she apologize?

“Hey? Was your brain eaten by a zombie… No, you would be the only safe person in the Zombie apocalypse,” she blurted. “But I just can’t seem to figure out what went wrong with your brain.”

Cisco blinked her eyes confusedly, “Why will I be safe in a zombie apocalypse?”

“Because Zombies want brains,” she replied and turn to stare at the shut door.

‘Does she mean I don’t…’ Cisco gasped inwardly when he understood what Thea was talking about, he frowned de-eply and marched towards her furiously.

Thea turned around before he could get to her and he stopped. “Why are you standing so close?” Thea questioned.

“I wanted to ask, what is wrong with the door? Why can’t we open it?” He pa-ssed her a fake smile as he cursed himself inwardly for being a coward.

“That door is faulty, once slammed it can only be opened from the outside. So, it was automatically locked when you slammed it. We have to call someone from the outside or wait until someone is interested in coming here,” she sighed frustratedly.

This situation could be the end of her, why does she have to be stuck with Cisco of all people?

“How often do people come here?” He asked. “Not too often, used files are kept here,” she responded.

“Do you have your phone?” She asked, he searched his pocket and shook his head sideways.

“This is bad,” mumbled Thea frustratedly. “You should sit…” Cisco drew the word when Thea glared harshly at him.

“Or stand,” he was quick to add.

They won’t stop pacing around the room while Cisco desperately wanted her to calm down.

“Do you have a wristwatch?” Thea inquired not turning to face him. “Yeah,” he replied.

“What is the time?” She asked not stopping for a second. “Three nineteen (3:19)pm,” he replied.

“I am doomed!” she fell on the floor and buried her face in her knee. “Are you supposed to be out there?” He inquired taking slow steps closer to her.

“I have a show, it’s supposed to start at three… Now, it’s three nineteen. I hate my life,” she blurted

“Don’t say that,” he cautioned with his hand patting her back, he was hoping that would calm her down.

“You are right, why should I hate my life? I should hate you instead, all this is your fault. I am stuck here because of you! I hate you!” She growled and brushed his hand off, she stood up and walked farther from him, and his jaw dropped in bewilderment.

Does she hate him that much? He couldn’t move as he could see the pain in her eyes, he didn’t want to add to her problem.

He stood io slowly and walked to the other side of the room where he squ-atted.

“Thea,” Cisco called. “Yeah,” she responds.

“When did you find out about Davis?” He asked.

“A week before we broke up.”

“Why didn’t… you tell me?” His voice broke. “Why? So that you would have made a different decision?” She scoffed softly.

“You wouldn’t have changed your mind because you love me, you would have because you wanted to be with your child, just like the trick you are playing at the moment,” she stated.

Silence followed, memories flood their brain and they raised their heads simultaneously.

Staring at each other’s eyes Cisco said. “I never stopped loving you, I protected you at the cost of our happiness.”

“What are you talking about?” She inquired curiously, she has always wanted to know why he broke up with her.

She wanted to know if what they shared truly meant nothing to him, as much as she want to despise him.

Her curious heart left room for him, all he has to do is open the door.

“Chloe’s murderer… The attempted murderer was Fiona, she had a crush on me…”

Cisco explained everything to Thea and she listened patiently with a blank expression. She was clueless on how to react, what was she supposed to feel?

Sorry? Happy? Anger? She was confused and had no idea of what to feel at the moment.

She finally got answers to her longtime question, but she wasn’t satisfied. Was it because he moved on?

“I love you, Thea. I never stopped loving you,” he confessed but got no response.

“Thea,” he called and she looked into his eyes. “Do you still love me?” He asked and she stared away, his heart broke the moment she did that.

Chloe smiled at the nurse who examined her, she was much better and there is a possibility she will be discharged the following day.

“You have a beautiful daughter,” the nurse complimented with her gaze on Mitchell who was asleep on the bed.

Chloe glanced at Mitchell and smiled proudly. “Thanks.”

“Kindly inform your husband that he has to see the doctor before you are discharged,” the nurse informed her.

“I will,” she replied, the nurse walked out of the room with a smile. And Chloe stroke Mitchell’s hair gently, she hummed a melodious song as she did.

She remembered when she first held her, the day she took her first step. The first time she called mommy, everything came back and tears filled her eyes.

“We had amazing times together, didn’t we?” She asked though the child was asleep.

“I have raised you like my own that I forgot who you are, I have learned to love you and I don’t think I will let you go when the time comes. You are my daughter Mitchell, you are mine,” she clenched her teeth and pulled her closer, she hug-ged her with her eyes closed.
