They took the food to the dinning table after the arrangement.
They seat to eat. Immediately they all take a spoon they look at br@ndon.
“Wow the food is yummy” Ainsley said and took another spoon.
“Do you see Everett, I told you am a good cook and now do you still have something to say” br@ndon said.
“Are you sure you prepared this food or Ria help you with this” Everett said.
“You can asked her if you don’t believe me” br@ndon said.
“There’s no nee-d for that” Ainsley said.
“There’s nee-d for that Miss”Livia said.
“Ria Ria please come” Everett called.
“Okay am coming” She answered.
Within a twinkle of an eyes Ria is already there.
“Am here ma” She said.
“I already told you am not ma let’s forget that first who prepared this food”Everett asked.
“Sir prepared it” Ria replied. “I don’t believe it maybe he has promised to increase your salary so you can cover up for him” Everett said.
“Why can’t you just believe it what prove do you nee-d again” br@ndon said.
“I wondered why she’s stressing herself on what’s isn’t important” Ainsley said.
“So you think we will just accept defeat so you guy’s can make jest of us” Livia said.
“I think I now no why you are so serious about it but am sorry I won this and I will always win” br@ndon said.
“Ria am talking to you how much did he pay you I will triple it for you” Everett said.
“I promised he didn’t bribe me. he asked me to help him but I told him to cook it since he love the person he wanna prepared the food for.
He chase me out of the kitchen immediately and called me in few minutes ago when the food ready.
He asked me to taste it and to my best surprised the food was really tasty” Ria said.
“I still don’t believe this”Everett said.
“I think you shouldn’t argue again. is either you take it or leave” Ainsley said.
“Simple” br@ndon said.
“I won’t take or leave it till I get to the truth of the matter” Everett said.
“Everett why don’t we accept it I think he prepared it” Livia who was sitting closer to Everett whispered to her.
“No girl how can you accept defeat just like that for me am not ready to accept this” Everett said.
“That’s what I don’t like about you you like silly arguement”br@ndon said.
“Thank you I love that” Everett said.
br@ndon and Everett were busy arguing when the livingroom table phone rang. Ainsley went to pick it up.
“Hello who’s on the line” Ainsley asked.
“From Homage restaurant we want to tell Mr br@ndon we are very sorry for missing up the food he order for 3hours ago with someone else’s food, we have been trying his phone number but is not reachable that’s why we try is home number” the person said.
“Ordered food?” Ainsley asked.
“Yes he ordered for food in our restaurant and our delivery girl missed up the food” The person said from the other end.
“Did he ordered for food maybe snacks let me asked which type of food” Ainsley thought to herself.
“Hello are you with me?” the person asked.
“Yes, can you please tell me the food he ordered for?” Ainsley asked.
“Jollof rice with full chicken” The person said.
“And what did you gave to him” Ainsley asked.
“Jollof rice with half chicken that’s what another person ordered for” The person said.
“You don’t nee-d to worry I will talk to him about it” Ainsley said.
“Thanks alot” The person said.
The call ended br@ndon and Everett is still arguing that they didn’t notice what’s going on.
Ainsley knock the table just to distract them.
“Oh sorry baby this girl is very stubborn so I nee-d to let him un-derstand” br@ndon said.
“Am not gonna accept that” Everett said.
“I am supporting you Everett” Ainsley said.
“Why will you support her” br@ndon said.
“well homage restaurant called” Ainsley said.
“HOMAGE RESTAURANT!!!!” br@ndon exclaimed shocked.
“why do you look shocked?” Ainsley asked.
“No I am not shocked, what did they say happened” br@ndon said.
Do you ordered for food?” Ainsley asked.
“Not at all why would I do that when i can cook very well” br@ndon lied.
“I love you courage sweetheart why would you ordered for food but they said what you ordered for wasn’t what they gave you” Ainsley said.
“I knew it, they can’t do anything properly I will make sure I deal with them” br@ndon said and stood up.
“But you just said you didn’t ordered for anything”Ainsley said.
“Oh did I say something like that” br@ndon said scratching his head.
“I said it, I know he isn’t the one who prepared this food” Everett said and burst out laughing. Livia join her in laughing.
“You see what you caused I boost of you but all you could pay me with is betrayed me Ainsley said with an imaginary tears.
“And wait a minute when do you ordered for the food” Everett asked.
“It’s was before you guys came back. I kept it in the kitchen. I prepared something but it get burnt so I decided to give you guys the food ordered”‘ br@ndon said.
“Yes I noticed it when you where making mouth hours ago I Know there’s something fishy” Everett said.
“No wonder he’s so confident” Livia said.
“Is okay am okay with it atleast he still try to get us something to eat” Ainsley said in support of br@ndon.
“I no you will support him, he don’t know anything” Everett said with a pout.
“Thanks dear I love him like that and moreover I will teach him how to cook” Ainsley said.
“This one or who are you referring to. am sure he can never learn how to cook” Everett said. “then wait and see” Ainsley said.

Chad Apartment
Chad was in his Livingroom looking sad resting on the sofa lost in thought.
Everett knocked at the several times but Chad was didn’t heard.
She barged Inside angrily “why don’t you wanna open the door for me am I now suffocating you” Everett said coming inside.
She saw Chad on the sofa lost in thought.
“Chad Everett called and tapped him.
“Everett you are here when do you arrived” Chad asked sitting upright.
“You look worried what happened tell me” Everett said.
“Did I look worried” Chad said.
“Yes you look more than worried what’s the problem?” Everett asked.
“Is nothing I am fine so don’t worry and am Sorry for me been rude to you yesterday” Chad apologize. Everett sit beside him.
“let’s forget about that tell me what’s going on with you or you can’t confide in me or you don’t love me again”Everett said.
“Don’t say that again I love you so much” Chad said and hu-gged her ti-ghtly.
“So are you going to tell me what’s the problem “‘Everett asked.
“Am scared I don’t want to lose you” Chad said emotionally.
“Why do you think you will lose me” Everett asked not still sure of what Chad is saying.
“Yesterday my father called and he said he want to see me at back in England before three days or he will disown ma”Chad said and stopped.
“Why,?” Everett asked.
“He said I should come and take over his company. I argued with him but all to no avail.
minutes later my elder sister chat me up telling me dad was just using business has a way to let me come to England. she said they have planned my marriage with Tamara” Chad said.
“Who’s Tamara?” Everett asked.
“Tamara is the girl I was bethroned to at a very young age. that time my family are going throu-ghha-rd time so my father went to asked his father for help. he promised to help us on a condition” Chad said.
“What condition?” Everett asked.
“he said he want to bethroned me to his daughter, only then will he help us, so my father is hopeless and agreed to the selfish decision but I don’t like her at all.
Back then in school, I do snub your calls sometimes because she never allow me to pick calls whenever she’s around I was in bondage since a very young age.
When I met you and things start changing I became so happy, and now am very scared I don’t want to lose you” Chad said with tears forming in his eyes.
“Why don’t you tell me this since alls this while?” Everett asked.
“Am so scared I thought if I told you you I might leave me but am tired of been selfish, I don’t know what to marry someone else except from you.
I wish I can face my father and tell him he can’t decide for me. his very strict and his decision are final” Chad replied sadly.
“You are so secretive you should have told me. is there anything else you are still hidding for me?” Everett asked.
“No, that’s all” Chad replied.
“Stop being a coward we are going to face them together, I can even use my parent position in this.
why will they want to for-ce you on the person you don’t love and moreover I love you, so you don’t nee-d to disturb yourself again, everything is gonna be okay” Everett’s as-sured
A smile escape Chad li-ps. “I love you”:he said and hu-gged her pas-sionately.
“I love you too, am sorry I misun-derstood you I thought you are cheating on me” Everett said with tears in her eyes. Chad cried in her arms. “Cry baby i will be right beside you” Everett said patting him.
