I don’t get why I’m still feeling uneasy. I’m just so worried. Mariana hasn’t tried anything since that day and I should be relieved but I can’t stop worrying that she’s planning something bigger than that… It’s so unlike her to be quiet.
Anytime we come across each other, she always gives me this smile that makes me feel very uneasy of whatever she’s planning to do. I walked down the stairs and looked at the decorations. Everyone looked busy as they were preparing for the wedding. I sighed, even I that’s getting married tommorow isn’t as prepared as the mansion.
I looked up as the mansion’s door opened , a group of people walked in heavily dressed. They are probably unfamiliar relatives. I turned around to go the opposite direction. I don’t want to welcome people I don’t even know.
I have ba-rely taken to few steps when someone held my hand. I looked at the person. It’s Mrs Helen. She’s carrying a bag and looks very excited.
“Ivy, I just got your pink wedding dress. Gosh! It’s beautiful but I still don’t un-derstand why you insist on not having a white wedding,” she said. And I shook my head.
“It’s unnecessary to have white wedding. I’ll just go along with this pink,” I replied.
“Ivy, you have always been the opposite of other ladies. Other ladies want white wedding but you don’t…” She trailed off as she led me out of the room.
We didn’t notice the suspicious maid standing close to us…

📲Ma, there’s no difference between the two dress at all. No one would notice anything amiss.
I smiled and cut the call before staring at my reflection in the mirror. I look just perfect in the pink wedding dress. I hate to admit it but that bit-ch got taste in fashion. The material she chose for her dress is superb. It’s a pity I’ll be the one dazzling in it not her. Mother c@m£ in and looked at me.
“Woah, the wedding dress fits you alot. It doesn’t matter how much I had to pay that designer to make this for you but it’s worth it,” mother smiled as she ki-ssed my cheek.
“Mom, have you informed the guy yet?,” I asked. She nodded and brou-ght out her phone showing me the chat between her and the thu-g that would help us in our plan.
I laughed thinking of how Ivy’s life is gonna turn upside down tomorrow.
Mother brou-ght out a small pink flower and handed it over to me. “You have to pin this flower to your dress so he won’t ma-king the mistake of kidnapping the wrong bride. Also I’ve alre-ady given the flash to the guy that would be in charge of displa-ying pictures on the projector tomorrow. Ivy won’t even get a chance to save the marriage no matter how ha-rd she wants to try…”
I hu-gged mother. Everything is finally going my way….

Brian looked at his friends and took the wine they for-ced him to drink. “Do we have do this bachelor p@rty?,”he complained for the nth time. His friends ignored his question and handed over another gla-ss of wine to him.
“Now bro, tell us about your bride-to-be. Is she s-xy and curvy? Is she the quiet type or the feisty type?” they asked and Brian looked at the billionaire moguls in front of him now behaving childishly. The paparazzi would be shocked to see this sight.
What quiet type! “She’s a little bit feisty but don’t you worry guys, she’s attra-cted to me alre-ady. You know that no lady can resist me,” Brian answered chuckling. His friends cheered and whistled. If only they knew the truth that Brian is the one attra-cted not the other way around.
“Hey bro, don’t drink too much so you don’t end up missing your own wedding,” someone said and everyone laughed…

I sighed as I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I’m really getting married today. As soon as the makeup artists finished, I asked them to leave the room. I looked around my room for the last time. Mariana and her mom will probably turn my princess room to maids room.

Soon, I felt thirsty so I called the names of the maids that were positioned outside my rooms but no response. That’s weird. I got up and went out of my room struggling with my wedding gown.
I was surprised to find the hallway empty with no servants in sight. I could hear faint music from outside where the wedding is going on. But where did all the maids go to? I had ba-rely taken few footsteps when I heard sound of footsteps behind me.
When I looked back, I didn’t see anyone. I walked forward again to make sure I heard perfectly and they followed me. Now I’m convinced someone’s following me. Why? I am feeling scared right now. I thought of the smile Marie had been giving me, the empty hallway and missing maids… I suddenly realized that this is what Marie has been planning… To get me kidnapped.
I speed-walked as I couldn’t run in the gown. The footsteps kept on getting closer. I don’t have much time to get away from them so I ran into the nearest and locked the door just in time. They c@m£ and couldn’t figure out which room I’m in.
“Angel, just come out nicely. We won’t hurt you. Just want to have fun with you,” I heard them say. How the hell was Marie able to get them in without anyone noticing? I sat down on the floor and prayed silently. I should have been more careful.

“Hey you! Make sure to get my makeup done perfectly. I want to look perfect for my wedding,” I said to the foolish makeup artist in front of me. I don’t know why mom hired such an incompetent fool. She has been doing my makeup for a while now and I still haven’t found any one I like.
The colours she has been using don’t suit me as much as I like so I’ve had her redo it over and over again. I looked at her exhausted face and smiled. “Bring me that gla-ss of jui-ce!,” I ordered the nearest maid. She went over and carried it over to me. But as she was about to hand it over to me, she missed a step and spilled the jui-ce on me.
I screamed as the red coloured jui-ce made an ugly stain on my dress. I stood up and slapped the maid who hurriedly picked a napkin to wipe off the stain before it spre-ad. In the process of cleaning the stain, she re-moved the flower I pinned to my dress. I slapped her again angrily and looked at the flower now lying on flower.
Then I looked at my ruined wedding dress. I don’t care about a flower now, I have to find mom immediately. As I was about to tou-chthe door knob, I remembered mom warning that I shouldn’t leave the room unless she comes to get me. I looked at my dress again. This can’t wait. Moreover, the thu-gs should have finished their job by now.
So I opened the door and stepped into the silent hallway going towards mom room when I bu-mped into a wall. Looking up, I realized with fear that it isn’t a wall, it’s possibly one of the thu-gs mom hired. Looking at the scary smile on his face, I tried to walk backwards but more thu-gs appeared behind me. I can’t believe that bit-ch escaped once again.
“You guys are mistaken. I’m not the bride you are looking for,” I said trying not to stammer in fear. They looked at my wedding dress and looked at me as if I’m a fool. They don’t believe me.
“Wait, I can prove it,” I stopped them from walking closer to me. I to-uched my dress frantically trying to find the flower mother gave but then I remembered what happened between the maid and I in the room now. I g-asped in fear. No way out and no one in sight to help me.
The thu-gs has had enough of my drama cause they finally reached where I’m standing and the next thing I saw was…was darkness…

My heartbeats quic-kened as their footsteps kept on getting closer until it finally stopped in front of the room I’m hiding in. I shut my eyes ti-ghtly in fear. Oh no! They found me. But just then I heard the footsteps hurrying away from the door, I strained my ear to hear what was going on.
I couldn’t hear any sound like they were gone but I couldn’t be too sure. So I waited for few minutes before I finally stood up and opened the door. I checked first and confirmed that the hallway was really empty before I c@m£ out and started walking cautiously.
I haven’t even gone far when someone bu-mped into me. At first, I panicked but then I noticed it’s Mrs Helen. She looked relieved as she hu-gged me. “I was very worried when I didn’t meet you in your room. The maids didn’t know where you went either,” she said.
“Mom, I couldn’t find the maids anywhere. The hallway was empty and I was so scared,” I answered.
“Tonia must have asked them to do something,” she answered confirming my suspicions. Mariana and her mother will pay for what they tried to do to me. “We don’t have time for that now. It’s time for your father to give you away to your new family. Your father is waiting for you in the sitting room.”
She wiped away her tears and covered me with the veil. My face completely hidden. Then she led me to the sittingroom where my dad and Tonia were waiting. I looked at Tonia. She possibly thinks I’m Marie. I’ve figured out their plan. Too bad it failed.
I looked at the serious look on dad’s face. He doesn’t even care if I’m happy with this marriage or not. Mrs Helen tried to hide her sad look as she handed me over to him. I crossed my hands with his as he led me outside. As we pa-ssed Tonia, I said ‘Mother’ in a way that only her could hear. I wish I could see the look on her face but dad alre-ady led me outside and the music began welcoming us to the ceremony.
I took in a de-ep breath as I walked slowly towards my soon-to-be husband who has a kind of dazed look on his face.

I looked at the closed door in shock. I was hearing things right. The bride outside is my Marie not Ivy, right? But I still can’t get that voice out of my head. The voice that just said mother. I turned around and rushed to Mariana’s room. When I got there, the makeup artist was there, the maids were there but I couldn’t find my daughter.
I looked at one of the maid on her knees and saw the flower I gave Mariana on floor. My face turned pale. “Where is my daughter!?,” I shouted. The maid on her knees shivered.
“Ma, she left this room a while ago,” the maid answered and one of them told me all that had happened in the room causing Mariana to leave in anger. She said Mariana’s wedding dress was stained but the bride I just saw didn’t have any stain on her cloth.
I paid the makeup artist and asked her to leave before I ordered the other maids to beat up the maid that caused all this mess. Ignoring her plea-s, I went out and called the leader of the gang I hired.
📱Bruno, did you complete the task I gave you?~ I asked immediately he picked up.
📲Yes ma, we have the bride with us- the idiot laughed and replied.
📱 Switch the voice call to video call. I want to see her face- I asked.
I screamed immediately I saw my daughter’s face covered with blood. I hurriedly looked around.
📱You idiot! Bring my daughter back here this instant! How could you have made such a foolish mistake?~ I asked panicking.
📲She didn’t have anything with her to prove that she’s not the one. It’s not our fault~ the idiot still tried to argue with me.
📱If you don’t bring her back this instant, except to get half payment from me!
Then I cut the call angrily. They will never make it back here in time. I can only count on the other guy to displa-y those files on the projector to stop this goddamn wedding…

I looked at Ivy as her and her father walked slowly towards me. She’s so beautiful. Her beauty is so mesmerizing that it takes my breath away. I’ve never felt this powerfullu-st for anyone before. Why is Ivy so different?
They finally got to where I was. Her father handed her over to me and left. The two of us turned to face the priest. I smiled as she discreetly re-moved her hands from mine. She’s never going to change. Feisty kitten.
As the priest went on with his sermon, the time seemed agonizingly slow. I felt bored and when I glanced over at Ivy, I could feel that she’s also bored though I can’t see her face which is covered completely with the pink veil.
At last, the priest asked us to exchange our rings. “Do you Ivy Kent take Brian Faye to be your lawfully wedded groom?.”
“Yes, I do.”
“Do you Brian Faye take Ivy Kent to be your lawfully wedded bride.”
“Yes, I do.”
“You may now ki-ss the bride.”
Yayyy! The p@rt I’ve been waiting for. I opened her veil, looked into her eyes and then crashed myl-ips on hers. The crowd cheered loudly as they threw flower petals on us. I don’t care about that right now as I de-epen the ki-ss.
Herl-ips are so soft and it tastes like a special kind of flavor I’ve never tasted before. The taste is so addictive. I stopped the ki-ss abruptly as I felt a stinging s-ensation in my ton-gue. Ouch! She bit me. I looked at the sm-irk on her face. She actually bite me when I was enjoying the ki-ss. She bite my ton-gue pretty ha-rd that it hurts.
The crowd continued cheering loudly oblivious to what happened now. I feel like my life is going to be interesting from now on.
“My mouth is not food. I told you I’ll make you regret this marriage starting from now on,” she said to me. I sm-irked ignoring the pain in my ton-gue. She seemed irked by my sm-irk.
“Welcome the lastest couple in town!!!,” someone from the crowd shouted as the projector displa-yed some of our pictures which were obviously photoshopped together distracting us momentarily.

Everyone was too immersed in the happy ceremony that no one noticed Tonia standing faraway from the crowd with a pained look on her face. Her expression turned to that of strong hatred as she stared at Ivy. Then she turned around and quietly left.
