“Excuse me…!” A young guy in uniform said. “Ms Gold Kendrick ?”
“Yeah.” I nodded. “The cabman right ?”
“Of course.” He replied. “Your luggage, please.”
I’m not just a random Africa girl, this guy might want to play smart.
“Your ID card, please.” I requested. He brou-ght it out from his che-st pocket and handed it to me. I studied it, satisfied that it isn’t fake. I handed it back to him and he shoved it back into his che-st pocket.
“Okay, here.” I hand my luggage over to him and he opened the cab door for me. I hopped in and waited a little.
He started the engine and drove carefully throu-ghthe roads of New York.
After what seems like forever, he finally parked at the front of a building. The exterior decor is breathtaking. Just a four sto-rey building.
“The house keeper stays at the last floor, meet him for your room key. You might be paired with someone.” The cabman explained as he closed the booth.
“Oh okay !” I smiled.
“I’m your private driver for now till your car arrives, you can call me if you wish to go round the city. I won’t mind.” He said politely. “I’m Caleb.”

I took the elevator to the top floor, its the third apartment by the right. I pressed the door bell and the door was answered minutes later by a lady.

“I’m Sharon. Please, come in.” She smiled, opening the door wider, I dragged my luggage in thereafter shutting the door behind.
