“… Isn’t there a way to get her to talk?” Andres asked for the umpteenth time. He was sitting outside with the other guys and each of them was busy with his own thoughts.
“Cut it out Andres” Spiky hurled
“Where did the responsible ruler and father and husband go?” Daniel asked
Scott glanced at Andres with a lopsided sm-irk “I thought you were done with prostitutes”
Andres heaved a sigh “Never mind. Just forget I asked”
“You should think more about your royal duties and more about her” Scott advised
“Thanks for the advice” Andres said sarcastically and walked out.
“I think Andres is going crazy” Scott said
“And as friends who are more like brothers, we have to get Sardonyx before he leaves” Daniel said
“We all know how impossible that could be” That was Jimmy
“We could plan carefully and kidnap her” Daniel suggested
“And get charged for kidnap and r@p£?” spiky shook his head “i’m out”
“Then we could follow her. Find out where she lives and get her to talk to us” Daniel said
“Why don’t we just let Andres return and forget about Sardonyx. He has a wife and as true brothers and friends, we shouldn’t be letting him get involved with another woman” Jimmy said instead
“You don’t think he’s going to fall in love with Sardonyx and probably elope with her instead of marrying Miranda” Scott said
“If he wants Sardonyx, then he’s going to get her” Daniel stated
Jimmy scoffed “How?”
“I have a little plan” Daniel replied with a sm-irk

“Are you sure she’s going to come?” Scott asked no one in p@rticular. They had been waiting for hours in a restaurant, having booked a meeting with Lucy.
“She’s supposed to” Daniel glanced at the entrance
“We shouldn’t be doing this” Jimmy said
“Jimmy you’re just jealous we’re trying to get her for Andres and not you” Spiky snarled
Jimmy rolled his eyes and looked away.
“I think I’m in support of Jimmy this time” Scott said “what if he decides to make Sardonyx his mistress?”
“Sardonyx won’t concur” Spiky replied
“What if she does when she finds out he’s a prince?” Spiky arched a brow “surely you wouldn’t want the duke coming for our n£¢ks”
“Will you guys just shut up abd stick to the plan” Daniel seethed
“Are you done?” Lucy showed up from behind. The guys g@sped and whirled around with a start.
“Holy macaroni!” Spiky exclaimed “when did you get here?”
“Long enough to hear your talks” Lucy flashed them a smile
Daniel exchanged knowing glances with the guys then looked at Lucy. “What exactly did you hear?”
Lucy chuckled “I was just trying to pu-ll your legs. I just got here”
The guys f0rç£d a smile and Spiky got up to pu-ll out a seat and help her in.
“Thank you” she muttered to Spiky when she was sitting “so why did you guys want to see me? Surely its not because if Sardonyx”
“Not at all. We just wanted to…” Daniel was saying “just wanted to see you”
“And get to know you better” Scott added
“And maybe have a drink” Spiky put in “if you drink of course”
Lucy smiled “I do drink but not with strangers”
“We aren’t strangers” Daniel said then asked “you’re Lucy right?”
She nodded
“I’m Daniel, and these are my friends— Spiky, Scott, and Jimmy”
“What about the other guy?” Lucy asked
“You mean Andres? He’s not always with us” Daniel replied
“Okay”
“We made the orders alre-ady” Jimmy saud and pushed a wine glas-s to her “br@ndy if you don’t mind”
Lucy smiled “Sure”
Jimmy filled her glas-s with br@ndy and sat back on his chair.
“It would be nice having a drink like this with Sardonyx” Daniel said, sipping from his glas-s
Lucy chuckled “she doesn’t drink”
“And she doesn’t come out either” Jimmy added
“She does” Lucy replied “she hangs out with friends”
“And she can’t be friends with us?” Daniel asked
“She can. If she wills” c@m£ Lucy’s reply
“Can’t you make her will?”
Lucy chuckled “She wills whatever she wants. And if she wants to talk to you. Its her decision”
“What’s up with the ‘Sardonyx’? Is that her name?”
“She’s Catherine” Lucy replied ”Sardonyx is just a stage name”
“We nee-d just one thing from her” Daniel said
“What’s that?” Lucy asked
“A word with her” Daniel replied
“And a night with your Friend” Lucy added
“Yes”
“Well thats two different things” Lucy said
“You can help us right?”
“No”
“Why?”
“Cause she decides who she wants to spend the night with” Lucy replied
“We can pay anything”
Lucy sighed “it’s going to take a lot to convince her..
Sardonyx is a dancer and not some cheap slut you just pay for and spend the night with”
“What difference does it make? She dances to entertain men in Crazy Horse and spending a night with our friend is all p@rt of the entertainment” Scott said
“Cool.. He should just want her dance” Lucy snarled
“Come on Lucy.. You gat to help us” Spiky said
Lucy sighed and rolled her eyes skyward “on one condition”
The guys leaned forward “State it”
“You’ll arrange a vacation for just I and your friend”
They were silent for a while until Daniel finally broke the silence with a loud guffaw and the others joined him.
“What? What’s funny?” Lucy asked in utter confusion
“That’s all you want?” Scott asked
“Well yea” Lucy nodded
“Cool” Daniel shrugged “Deal”
“I’ll see what I can do” Lucy promised
“So what’s your choice for a vacation?” Spiky asked with a wi-nk
“I’ll think about that. I haven’t even thought of it myself”
“So you’ll leave your number so we can call you” Scott stuttered
Lucy di-pped her hand into her purse and brou-ght out a card “my card” she proffered it to no one in p@rticular.
Scott snatched the card “be my guest for tonight”
Lucy chuckled “Thanks but no”
“I’ll call you” Daniel leaned closer “maybe we could hang out tomorrow”
“I’ll think about that” Lucy pushed her chair back and got up “thanks for the drink.. It was nice spending time with you”
“The plea-sure is all ours” Scott said
“Sure it is” Lucy said “see ya”
“Let me walk you to your car if you don’t mind” Daniel said and got up to his feet
“I don’t mind if you’re gentleman enough” Lucy shrugged
Daniel shrugged too then said with a gesture “well I am”
“she’s h0t” Jimmy commented when Daniel walked out with Lucy
“And pretty and sweet” Scott added
“Who the hell is Sardonyx?” Spiky ch!pped in
“I’m be-dding her tonight” Scott said
“She doesn’t look easy to get and besides, Daniel alre-ady saw her off” Spiky said looking at the two throu-gh the glas-s wall.
“And she got a cute smile” Jimmy said admiringly
“And a pair of S-xy dimples” Scott blew an air k!ss
“You know what? Let’s concentrate on Sardonyx for now else we lose focus” Spiky pointed out
“The problem is convincing Andres to go on a vacation with Lucy” Jimmy said
“Who would refuse Lucy? That girl is a killer” Scott laughed “and moreover, he’ll do anything to be with Sardonyx”
“hi guys” Daniel strode to the table and sat down “I just got a d@t£ for tonight” he said excitedly
“She said yes?” Scott asked
“As a matter if fact, she did. But strictly no S-x” Daniel replied
Jimmy furrowed his brows “and you agreed?”
“I did. But who’s going to stick to such rule?” Daniel chuckled “definitely not me”
“Scott the card, I nee-d to call her” Spiky said
“What card?” Scott asked
“Lucy’s card. Where is it?”
“She gave it to me not you” Scott replied
“She gave it to us— all of us” Daniel scowled
“Well I’m not going to let any of you call her” Scott said and folded his arms
“You’re bringing out that card right now else I’m beating you to the emergency room” Daniel threatened and clenched his fist
Scott scoffed “I’m not scared of you”
“Oh really Scottman!” Daniel sm-irked and turned to the others “Jimmy call the ambulance and Spiky, you’re the referee”
“Copied” Jimmy and Spiky chorused
“What are you doing?” Scott asked when Daniel got up to his full height
“Nothing much” Daniel replied and pounced on Scott

Andres was sitting in the living room with his long legs stretched out on a side stool and a stick of cigar between his f!ngers. He was re-ading a newspaper or probably going throu-gh the pages when the guys walked in. Daniel was wearing a medal he had gotten from the grocery sto-re on their way back as a sign if victory. With the card stylishly between his f!ngers, he whistled and danced beside Scott who was wearing a plaster on his head.
“What happened?” Andres asked, sitting up
“Have you ever thought about how beautiful and S-xy Lucy is?” Daniel started
“I did notice that when we talked to her last night” Andres replied and raised a brow suspiciously “what happened to Scott?”
Daniel laughed “nothing much. We made a new br@in subscription on his”
Andres scoffed and dragged in a breath from his cigar.
“How would you enjoy going on a vacation with Lucy?” Daniel asked
“No no.. That’s totally out of the list” Andres protested
“Come on. You’ll get to have Sardonyx for the whole night” Spiky persuaded
“Sardonyx?”
“Yea.. Unless you agree on the vacation”
Andres heaved a sigh “does Sardonyx know of this?” Andres asked
“Lucy is going to help us” Scott said and sm-irked at the mention of Lucy
“I’m not sure of this guys” Andres said
“Oh come on Andres. We’ve come this far and you’re still not sure?” Jimmy yelled
“Chill Jim” Spiky said “its not a tussle”
“If this works, and Sardonyx agrees to speak to you and maybe…
Then you’re going on a vacation with Lucy” Daniel said
“If it works then fine” Andres agreed
“Good” Daniel leaned into his chair “now let’s talk about who’s going out with Lucy tonight”
“No arguments.. She’s going out with me” Scott yanked
Andres hissed “you guys are crazy” he said and walked out. Andres walked into his room and fell on his pillow.
He took out his phone and started going throu-gh it when Daniel walked in.
“You really have to do something about your introvert lifestyle” Daniel said and joined him on the be-d “What’s in your mind?”
Andres smiled and sat up “Sardonyx.. What does the name mean?”
“Her real name is Catherine” Daniel said
Andres crossed his legs “I wonder what she looks like”
“She has to be beautiful” Daniel replied
“She really has to”
“Andres?!” Daniel called “don’t you think that you’re taking this Sardonyx thing too far?”
“How?”
“You’re obsessed with her”
“I’m not obsessed with her” Andres said with a frown
“You better not be cause it’s going to be a one night stand with no strings attached. I wouldn’t want you having to choose between Miranda and Catherine”
“I know alre-ady” Andres sighed “my marriage to Miranda isn’t something I can escape”
“No ha-rd feelings man! No ha-rd feelings” Daniel sl@pped him pla-yfully on the shoulder
“I don’t even think I really want anything inti-mate with Sardonyx. I just want to talk”
“Talk about what?”
“Know who she is, where she’s from.. And any other relevant information”
“That isn’t necessary Andres”
“I know” Andres sighed “but I just want to know”
“Andres?!” Daniel brou-ght his voice to a whisper “I hope we’re not ma-king a mistake by helping you with this”
“Come on Daniel, I’m not in love with her. I don’t even know what she looks like. I’m just eager to know”
“I hope so”
Andres hissed and la-id back on the be-d “I can’t escape my marriage to Miranda” he said “I’m leaving tomorrow so my seeing Sardonyx wouldn’t change anything”
“Alright.. Get re-ady for tonight” Daniel said and left the room.

“… Lucy I said no” Sardonyx yelled and sat on the sofa in her closet
“Its just for tonight.. He doesn’t look bad at all” Lucy pleaded
“I don’t want that man”
“He just wants to speak to you”
“But I don’t want to. What’s even wrong with you? Were you bribe-d?”
Lucy sighed and rolled her eyes “no”
“Then let me be. I don’t want to speak to him. Any man but not that Andres guy”
“He’s charming you know” Lucy win-ked
Sardonyx blu-shed and chuckled nervously “that’s why I don’t want to speak to him. I’ve got little resistance to cute guys”
“You should give it a try. Just for a night”
“I said no. And I still insist— I don’t want him” Sardonyx huffed loudly “get me water”
Lucy walked to the fridge and took out a bottle of water then proffered it to Sardonyx “here”
“Thank you” Sardonyx took the bottle and started drinking from it
“I’ll give you time to think about it” Lucy said “call me if you change your mind.. I’ll be in the club” she added and walked out
Lucy left the club hurried to meet the guys outside. They were sitting beside a water fountain when she saw them.
“What’s new?” Daniel asked
“Nothing” Lucy sighed in frustration and looked at Andres “She wouldn’t bulge”
“Why?” Spiky asked
“Sardonyx could be really stubborn” Lucy huffed
“It’s okay” Andres said “you don’t have to worry”
“Isn’t there any other way?” Daniel asked
“Nothing I can think of unless you want to sneak up on her in her closet. She’s alone there but she’s going to be really mad if you barge in” Lucy said
“Then why would I barge in?” Andres asked
“That’s the only way.. f0rç£ her to listen to you” Lucy said
“I don’t have to do that. Besides, there’s nothing important we nee-d to talk about” Andres said
Lucy smiled “don’t be such a shy baby. Let’s go” she gr@bb£d his hand
“I’m not shy” Andres laughed “I’m a man but I don’t want to go”
“Come one” Daniel joined Lucy to drag Andres inside
“Will the securities let us pas-s?” Scott asked
“I’m your ticket” Lucy win-ked and led them to Sardonyx’s closet.
“So we’ll wait outside while he goes in cause I wouldn’t want her knowing I brou-ght you here despite her protects” Lucy said, st©pping near the stage
“So I’ll go alone?” Andres demonstrated with his hands “like.. Just me?”
“Yea” Lucy giggled “if she yells, ignore her and shut the door”
“Shut the door?” Jimmy chirped in
“Yea.. So she doesn’t call in the securities” Lucy replied and added “though she wouldn’t do that”
“Okay” Andres inhaled de-eply “where is her closet?”
“The last door to the left.. Its slightly ajar” Lucy replied
“Okay” Andres took in a de-ep breath and started off. He walked straight to the last door that was left slimy ajar just as Lucy had said. Andres st©pped at the door and listened for any suspicious sounds like the loading of a gun. When he didn’t hear any sound from the room, he ti-p tied closer and took a peek inside.
Sardonyx was sitting on a sofa still holding the bottle of water. Andres stood there unnoticed, mesmerized by what he saw. He had expected a beautiful woman but nothing compared to the beauty he was seeing. She was wearing little more than outside shades, a pumpkin color fur and glossy boots. Her legs were p@rted suggestively to reveal a wedge if th!ghs. Andres’ breeches ti-ght£ñed, something he had not planned for. Her thick, long black hair flowed down her shoulders to her w@!st with a ring pierced in her nose. Andres appraised her from head to toe and caught sight of the anklet she was wearing on her left leg. The same anklet that had caught his attention the previous night while she was dancing. Andres lost balance and pushed the door open, ma-king him to fall inside.
Sardonyx startled and got up to her feet “who the fv¢k are you? And what are you doing here?”

“I’m talking to you” she yelled then started calling out “Lucy?! Lucy?!”
“She’s not around” Andres stuttered “at least not here for now”
“Get out”
“Listen I just….”
“Get the fv¢k out” she hurled and poured out the content of her bottle water on his face “Now! before I do more”
Andres was shocked and angered. he slowly wiped off the water from his face and looked at her to get a better view if her.
“okay” he simply said and walked out
