Delphine was surprise when she saw Jason who came to visit her at home. She quickly ran to arms and hug-ged him as tears drop from her eyes.
“am sorry for leaving, i needed to do something serious then, i have something very important to tell you,” he said.
“thank you so much sir, i know if you were here with me this wouldn’t have happen,” she said wiping away her tears.
“what happen, what about David and your grandma? he asked.
“David is death, even grandma was stab, dad died in a plane crash, this was how i lose everyone, and Milton turn out to be a beast, he’s a monster, he tried to ra-pe me, and has always disturbed me, i have to beg for a new place to stay over here,” Delphine wept bitterly
“how… did it happen, and why will Milton do such a thing? Delphine and back and i have always promise your mom to take care of you as my daughter, and i won’t fail her. You can come over to my place,” he said while Delphine was surprise to hear that.
“but.. am comfortable living here,” she stammered.
“your enemies might still want you death, staying in my house is more secured and i promise to help you out,” he said while Delphine just fake a smile.
“thank you so much sir,” she said with teary eyes.
Celyn’s POV⏭️
“We need more evidence to know if that Nicole has a hand in the death of your mother,” i said to David.
“yes, that one thing we must know,”
“i’ve told Nicole i will help her get Maria, and i don’t even know how to start or know anything about that,” i said.
“you need to be careful Celyn, Milton is so dangerous, you need to be much careful with them,” he said.
“they might be smart but am more smarter than them,” i smiled while David just looked me.
? Delphine’s POV?
I told Amy about what Jason told me. I really don’t want to live in the same house with Clark again but i guess just Jason want to help, i said to her.
“you’ll be more safe their, and beside no one can get in their to harm you again, just forget about Clark and try to be strong,” Amy advised.
“i just hope Sarah won’t be angry about this, it not a good idea for me and Clark to stay in the same house,” i said.
“You and Clark staying in the same house? Sarah asked which i was surprise, she walked in and sat opposite to me.
“yes Sarah. Jason want me to live their, he said that will be much safe,” i said while the look on Sarah face was different.
“it nothing Delphine, after all i trust Clark so much and beside and glad someone has finally decided to help you, now you’re more safe,” she said smiling while i smiled back.
“that will be much better,” Amy said.
“yes, am expecting you girls to come for my birthday,” Sarah said.
“for sure we gonna be their,” Amy said while i just smiled, i don’t think i will go.
⏭️ Clark stood as the balcony while Jason joined him, he has told him about bringing Delphine to stay with them.
“what about you and Delphine now? Jason asked him while Clark turn to look at him.
“nothing dad, am sure you know about Sarah my new girlfriend,” he said.
“and Delphine? Jason asked again.
“nothing about her, i guess she’s still with Milton, who cares,” he said while Jason looked at him very surprise.
“Delphine, has lose everyone she had, including Milton who turn out to hurt her, she lost her brother,”
“she did,” Clark was surprise to hear that.
“I guess Delphine is is trying to be strong because not anyone can endure losing his whole family. Her dad died in a plane crash, her grandmother was stab to death and Livvy.. too is gone,” Jason said with so much pains while Clark said nothing.
“she’s pa-ssing throu-gha lot and need someone by her side,”
“what… about Milton? Clark asked.
“he was the one that turn out to hurt her, his love for her was never real. I wish i never leave but then i have something urgent to do at that time,” Jason said.
“Delphine! Clark called out in small tune.
“yes Clark, she has lose everyone,” Jason said then walked to his room. Clark stood for while and was lost in his won thought.
?Delphine’s POV?
The next morning, Jason picked me up at home, and we arrived to his huge mansion. It reminds me of my father’s house back then when our family is happy and complete, tears slide down my cheeks and i quickly wipe if off. We walked in and the sitting room was large and decorated. Everything was perfect. I just wish David is still here with me.
“feel free Delphine,
this also your home” Jason said to me while i smile, i sees him as the father i have never had, Clark must be so lucky to have such a nice man as his dad but then he’s so unfortunate when it comes to his mom cos he don’t even know who she is. Just like me, am so unlucky when it comes to dad but when it comes to my mom, she’s the best, the best mom ever.
“Delphine,”i heard something called my name, which bring me back to reality from my thoughts.
“sorry for everything that happen to you,” Clark said to me while i just fake a smile. One of the maid came and showed me my room, which was upstairs, by the left, next to Clark’s room. I looked at the room which was huge and beautiful, i sat down on the large soft bed. Few minutes later dinner was announced and Jason insisted i eat with them at the dining room. It just the three of us at the dinning table and i was seated next to Clark. I ate a little and stood up to leave.
“thanks sir, am okay with this,” i said.
“are you sure? Jason asked while i just nodded and went upstairs, Clark’s room was opened and i saw something on his bed which caught my attention, i walked in and picked the novel i saw on his bed.
Wow i can’t believe he still have this novel tittle: *OUR LOVE* This was the novel i took from my dad. It so interesting but i never got the chance to finished it. I fli-p throu-ghthe pages of the book and smiled to myself.
“Delphine,” i heard Clark called my name from behind and i quickly dropped the book on his bed.
“sorry,” i said faking a smile then left quickly left to my room, i laid on my bed thinking what the future holds for me without anyone by my side.
❇Clark’s POV❇
Why would Delphine have to suffer that much, and she seems so uncomfortable when she’s with me, why is she acting that way. Why would Milton turn out to hurt her, he was the reason why i couldn’t get Delphine at that time but he’s still the one who turn out to be so cruel to her, i have always knew something is fishy about him.
I picked up the novel and kept it in my drawer then picked up my phone to call Sarah cos tomorrow is her birthday, am giving her a surprise package tomorrow. To the woman of my life. I can’t actually believe i’ve found true love with Sarah. We chatted for a long time and i later video call her, i just feel like talking to her for the rest of my life, i wish she’s here by my side. Sarah has been the reason for my happiness.
❇Today is actually my queen’s birthday, i got dressed looking so good and hurried to share in her joy, i guess Delphine is still in her room well i don’t really care if she will go or not. The hall was decorated, i was the one that sponsored everything, my event planer actually did a great work, it looks so beautiful, i walked in and was so eager to see my queen. OMG Sarah look so gorgeous,
she’s elegantly dressed in her beautiful long maxi gown, her hair was neatly packed and her make up artist did well on her pretty face. I walked up to her then hug-ged her.
“happy birthday sweetie,” i said then peck her.
“thank you so much Clark, i so much like this place. This the first time in my entire life am celebrating my birthday like this, you’ve indeed make my day,” she said while i ki-ssed her pa-ssionately.
“i should be the one thanking you, i would be your escort,” i said to her while she smile.
“and one more thing, you look so beautiful,” i whisper to her while she smiled. I held her hand and we walked to the stage.

❇Delphine’s POV❇

I and Amy were seated at the front seat, i never wish to come here but Amy was the one that insisted, so i have to come even for the sake of my friendship with Sarah. cos she’s such a good person. I was searching for Clark and was glad when i saw him basking in the delightful limelight, he was dress in an champagne-coloured suit with his expensive suede shoes, his dark-brown hair was well-arranged in a style, which make him look more handsome,
i just smiled to myself and wipe away the tears in my eyes. Clark was her escort and he walked her up to the stage and played the piano so good. The celebration was still going on greatly and after the singing session, Clark walked up to Sarah and ki-ssed her pa-ssionately. Tears slide down my cheeks, i quickly stood up and went outside…
