Clarissa came out from the kitchen with food in hand, Kimberly was in the living room, eating and watching tv
KIMBERLY
I thought you changed your mind
CLARISSA
Why will I change my mind?
KIMBERLY

CLARISSA
see, let me go and come back so you can gist me, you know I like gossip.
KIMBERLY
(she smiled)
there is no gist ooh, eh that reminds me….will I be employ if I bring in my CV to your office on Monday?
CLARISSA
(She laughed)
what do you mean by that?
KIMBERLY
I might have lost my job
CLARISSA
(Confuse)
what do you even mean?
KIMBERLY
Michael pissed me off so I insulted him
CLARISSA
your boss? I don’t un-derstand what happened between you two?
KIMBERLY

CLARISSA

she said and left, Kim carried her food again and started eating, changing the tv channel.
Clarissa walked to marcel’s door and knock, but there was no response.
immediately Marcel finished taking his bath, he decided to rest a little before he joins his younger brother in the living room, that was how he slept off, he didn’t even see his brother off or even eat the food Derrick microwaved for him.
clarissa knocked again, this time ha-rder and it woke marcel up.
he took his phone and checked the time, he dropped it back and looked for something to put on before heading for the door
MARCEL
who is it? hold up I will be right there.
he said walking sluggishly to the door.
Clarissa was about to knock again when the door opened.
It was as if the universe stopped for the both of them, Marcel was shocked to see Clarissa, for some minutes the young man lost his voice, the oy thing he could do was blink.
CLARISSA
Are you gonna let me in? or we gonna stand out here all night staring at each other?
MARCEL
Rissa?
CLARISSA
(She smiled and pushed him out of the way slightly)

She dropped the plate of food in her hand, she turned and Marcel gave her a very ti-ght hu-g.
MARCEL
(After a while he pulled away)
I’m I dreaming? I remember waking up from sleep, maybe I’m sleep walking.
CLARISSA
(She giggles)
stop being a girl, I’m here, it’s not a dream.
MARCEL
how? i mean when did you come back? I tried calling you, but you never picked or replied any of my texts that got me so worried
CLARISSA
I’m sorry, came back not too long ago, it wasn’t easy at all, all throu-ghmy phone was never with me, it was terrible, me and my boys had to work overnight…..it was on my way coming this evening that I saw all your calls and text….im sorry if I made you worried.
MARCEL
(He hu-gged her again)
I’m glad you are here, I miss you so much
CLARISSA
(She giggles, and pulled from the hu-g)
really? so you are trying to tell me now that no one has been keeping you compnay since I left?
MARCEL
no one, even Derrick deserted me, this house was boring without you.
CLARISSA
Awwn, sorry about that…well, thank God I’m back now.
MARCEL
yeah, I’m so happy….come take a seat he said ushering her to a seat.
CLARISSA
I brou-ght rice, I’m starving let’s eat or have you eaten?
MARCEL
You made this?
CLARISSA
No, Kim did….i just got back….why do you ask?
MARCEL
Noting, just that I miss your cooking
CLARISSA
Stop flattering me please
MARCEL
no I’m not, I’m serious…I miss your cooking
CLARISSA
okay, let’s eat this one, tomorrow I wiLL make beans and plantain for us, I miss that meal like hell.
MARCEL
I can’t wait for tomorrow to come.
Clarissa carried the food and placed on her lap-s, and they started eating.
they ate and talked about how their week went without each other.
Clarissa stayed all throu-ghthe night talking and listening to Marcel’s song that she forgot she promised her sister to come back earlt…when they realized themselves it was already 4am in the morning.
CLARISSA
OMG I can’t believe it’s morning already
MARCEL
damn, to think I was even tired before, talking to you is always fun
CLARISSA
(She giggles then frowned)
that’s not true, Jude said I’m boring with discussion
MARCEL
then his not a good talker…..if he knows how to start up a good conversation then he wouldn’t see someone like you as boring.
CLARISSA
(She smiled de-eply)

MARCEL
(He smiled back)
I’m glad I could make you happy.
CLARISSA
I nee-d to go now, see you later because it’s already morning
mARCEL
Yeah, should let you catch some sleep.
CLARISSA

she got up and headed for the door, Marcel followed her from behind.
CLARISSA

she came out of his house, she walked a little further then turn to look at him
CLARISSA
I missed you too
she said and started to go to her own flat.
it was just an harmless I miss you but Marcel felt like he heard “I love you”? he placed his hand on his che-st and smiled de-eply “she missed me too, the almighty Rissa misses me” wow ain’t ii a lucky man”? he said and went back inside.
Clarissa got into her flat, she didn’t see her sister in the living room, she decided to seat and watch some movie, she ha-rd ba-rely sat when Kim came outside to join her.
CLARISSA
You are still awake?
KIMBERLY
I heard the door open so I woke up, are you just coming back?
CLARISSA
before you start with your big big sermon of not falling into a wrong hand, we didn’t do anything okay, we were just talking
KIMBERLY
(She laughed)
what could you possibly have done? the last time I checked someone is still a holy V¡rgin Mary, waiting for her wedding night
CLARISSA
are you mocking me right now?
KIMBERLY
(Seating down)
nah, I’m not mocking you, I’m just trying to make you un-derstand that I un-derstand that nothing happened between you too…..if you like him, you are free to date him ooh, just don’t fall in love, why can’t you even live my kind of life? use them the way they intend to use us, just have good s-× and move on.
CLARISSA
And ruin my future? what if I get infected?
KIMBERLY
I’m I infected? who ask to sleep with those dogs without protection? wait are you saying my life is ruin?
CLARISSA
Don’t get me wrong, all I’m saying is that because you live this kind of life doesn’t make it right…..my love story might be a mess, you could be lucky

Clarissa didn’t wake up early because she was really exhausted and havi had a good sleep for a very long time.
Kim woke up and made breakfast, she ate here and went to the living room to watch movies, she picked the TV remote and changed it to her favorite channel Kdrama, they were showing a movie name “faith” she smiled seeing that it was a Korea crush….”oh oppa, I wish I can meet you one day” she said smiling and clapping her hands like a gossiper.
her phone started to ring so she took it, but seeing that it was Atony calling, she hissed and dropped it back.
but Atony kept calling and calling so she picked
KIMBERLY
Tell me Mr, what exactly is the color of your problem? don’t you un-derstand when a woman is done with you?
(she yelled at him)
ATONY
(shocked)
Kim? what do you even mean by that? what wrong have I committed?
KIMBERLY
nothing, I’m just not feeling us anymore, and please I will appreciate it if you stop calling my numher…whatever we had in Port was just a work giveaway….I’m back to my town now and your services will no longer be nee-ded
ATONY
(His mouth was wild open)

Atony tried to call her back but she won’t answer the phone.
meanwhile Clarissa over heard her cousin yelling on the phone so she woke up and joined her in the living room.
CLARISSA
babe, who is provoking you this morning
KIMBERLY
nobody…how are you?
CLARISSA
I’m good, I would have asked you the same but it is written all over your face that you don’t look too good
KIMBERLY
I’m fine Rissa…I made breakfast.
CLARISSA
(she sigh)
are you sure you are fine? Because I heard you saying “don’t ever call this line again”
Kim was about to talk but the ringing of her phone stopped her, she looked at the caller, hissed a d turn off the phone
CLARISSA
isn’t that your Atony calling?
KIMBERLY
his not my Atony okay?
CLARISSA
Okay, so what happened between you two?
KIMBERLY
Same thing that happens with the other guys, the dude won’t just stop breathing down my ne-ck
CLARISSA
would you blame him? maybe dude enjoyed the s-× possitions you gave him and he wants more….or maybe his in love
KIMBERLY
(Laughed)

why did you sleep like someone who hasn’t slept for months….it’s almost 1pm

(Looking at the wall clock, and screamed)
Jesus, I didn’t know I slept that long ooh…this what stress can do….i have been working night and day for a week so don’t blame my body if it’s cries for rest.
KIMBERLY
one day you will break down, then you will know how important rest is.
CLARISSA
mummy I have heard you….beside I have decided to take two weeks off work, so I can rest very well.
KIMBERLY
that would be better.
Clarissa picked a pillow from the couch and throw it at Kim before she ran inside, Kim curse her and laughed.
Clarissa was in the bathroom when she remembered she promise to cook beans and plantain for Marcel, she quickly rushed with the bathing and brushed her teeth before she came out and dress.
she went to the kitchen and started to prepare the beans, she came back to join Kim in the living room.
they watch and talked about the movie, she got tired of the way her cousin was just admiring the main lead of the movie
CLARISSA
Babe, dey calm down ooh….this one you are just admiring this guy like this, just know that you can only see him in your dreams…so don’t break your heart and relax.
KIMBERLY
Who said I can’t see him, I must see this guy in this life and me and him must knack
CLARISSA
(disgusted)

Kim was about to say something when they heard a knock on the door, Clarissa hot up to go check who it is at the door.
CLARISSA
(She smiled seeing is Marcel)

CLARISSA

she moved from the way for him to come inside, she followed from behind and shut the door.
KIMBERLY
Good afternoon Marcel
MARCEL

KIMBERLY

MARCEL
I’m okay
CLARISSA
please seat down.
(she offered him a seat)
MARCEL

CLARISSA
what can I offer you? juice? water? I won’t say food because I’m still cooking
MARCEL

CLARISSA

MARCEL

CLARISSA

MARCEL
what’s the title of the movie?

KIMBERLY
“faith”
MARCEL
woman and love movie, and I’m sure is because of the fake and unreal love, couple with her cute they are that’s why women mostly enjoy such series
KIMBERLY
Are you a mind reader? how did you know? I’m enjoying this movie because all the actors are damn too hot….look at their faces, their nose…
CLARISSA
Kim!!!
(Rissa caution her)
KIMBERLY
what? I can’t express myself again? abeg free me ooh
CLARISSA
Please don’t mind Kim, she can be too blunt at times
KIMBERLY
I’m always blunt
MARCEL
(He didn’t find any of it offensive)
being blunt is good, it makes people know who you truly are and make they scared of they want to intimidate you.
KIMBERLY
Marcel, I’m glad you are friends with my sister and I see you like someone who is real and not fake….i think you should teach her more of this things.
CLARISSA
okay, that’s enough Marcel would you like to help me in the kitchen?
she said pulling him up before he could even decide if he wanted to join her or not.
