MARCEL POV
After waiting for what seems like forever, I almost gave up hope of seeing Clarissa so I took my phone and called her hoping she will pick my calls but she didn’t, not long I heard a knock on my door so I went to check, I open the door and to my surprise it was Russ

MARCEL
Rissa?
CLARISSA
Will you let me in or you are just gonna stand there with your mouth wild open?
(she said and o moved for her to enter)

MARCEL
I have been calling you but to no avail, hope I didn’t do anything to upset you?
CLARISSA
no, no you didn’t okay, sorry for not taking your calls I was kind of busy
MARCEL
(I actually found that ha-rd to believe)
well, it’s okay, I’m glad you came…where is is umbrella?
CLARISSA
I didn’t come with any, the rain isn’t falling that much anymore

MARCEL
please seat down
she took off her sweater and sat down, she looked around, I guess she was looking for my brother, like she could read my mind she asked

CLARISSA
where is Derrick?
MARCEL
he didn’t come back with me, he has gone home

CLARISSA
alright, I came because of what you promised me
(she said looking into my eyes)
it was the first time we have really had eye to eye contact, truth be told Clarissa is a very beautiful lady, her eyes could make any man loose his senses.

CLARISSA
back to earth Mr advangers
(she said snapping her finger across my face)
MARCEL
sorry about that, a promise is a promise right? but before then, let’s eat dinner
CLARISSA
you cooked?
MARCEL
that’s a joke right? of course I didn’t it was the food you made, my kiddo refused to eat, I hate eating alone so I just kept the food back.
(I explained sincerely)
CLARISSA
I’m sure Derrick would be wondering what I was doing at your place after the way i treated you when we first met…. perhaps that’s why he refuse my food?
MARCEL
No, no,no don’t think like that, he said he ate before coming …beside the other day that Kim brou-ght swallow here he ate from it.
CLARISSA
maybe it’s because he thought Kim made it
MARCEL
my brother is not like that, his a cool kid If you get to know him.
CLARISSA
alright, so where is the food?
MARCEL
its in the kitchen…
(I was saying but she cut me short)
CLARISSA
okay, I will go microwave it while you seat down here and think of a lovely song to sing for me
MARCEL
thank God I came with my piano, it’s just that I haven’t set it yet
CLARISSA
you have a piano?
MARCEL
sure I do….you know what? go heat the food while I connect the piano
She searched my eyes as if trying to see if I was joking or serious, I smiled giving her that as-surance that I wasn’t lying, she smiled back and went into the kitchen.
I went to my room and brou-ght out the piano, within ten minutes I was done fixing it.
she came out with do plate of food in hand.
MARCEL

(I said collecting the food from her)
CLARISSA
let’s eat in the living room
MARCEL
alright….what will you like to drink? juice? wine?
CLARISSA
I’m kind of cold, maybe I will just take water normal temperature
(she said and sat down taking her food in her hand/
MARCEL
alright I will go get you water then.
CLARISSA
Thanks.
I guess she didn’t the piano at first, I was still in the kitchen when I heard her playing it, I came out and met her seating in front of the piano
CLARISSA
Wow, you must really be a lover of music to have gotten piano for yourself
MARCEL
(I smiled)
its something that runs in the blood
I said dropping the water on the table, I went to where she was and gave her my hand, she hesitated but she took it anyways, she followed me back to the table where our food is, she took her seat while I took mine too then we started eating.
throu-ghout the dinner we didn’t talk much, we just ate and watch movie, I could see it in her eyes that she couldn’t wait to hear me sing

CLARISSA POV
When he told me he could sing, it wasn’t like I believed him, he has a husky voice so how in God’s name can someone like that know how to sing, but I was surprised when he told me he has a piano and he even brou-ght it out a d connected it.
I couldn’t wait to laugh him, because I was sure he would embarras-s his ancestors and I was very ready to bad mouth him.
(Forgive me I can be very trouble some)
After dinner he wanted to clear the dishes but I stopped him, I cleared the dishes and made two cu-p of tea for us since it started raining heavily again.
CLARISSA
So, I’m ready now
MARCEL
What’s your genre?
CLARISSA
I love blue, beautiful and interesting blues….my favorite artist is Adele….Can you sing any of her song?
MARCEL
Which of her song do you want me to sing for you, I might use the help of Google to download it and follow the lyrics.
CLARISSA
You know what? Just sing anyone you feel like singing
MARCEL
Its not stressed if that’s why you want to change the song
CLARISSA
No, it’s fine just sing anyone.
MARCEL
Alright, if you insist…I’m going to play you a heart broken song hope you don’t mind? Its one of my favorite
CLARISSA

He cleared his throat and started to play his piano, the first standard of the song did not only drop me speechless but my eyes almost popped out from their socket.

He asked living the piano to come touch me, I couldn’t say anything, all I did was smile and cry which left him in a confuse state.

NARRATOR POV
Marcel was in great shock because he doesn’t un-derstand why she was crying, he left his piano and went to squ-irt in front of her.
MARCEL
what is it Rissa
CLARISSA
(She wiped her tears away)
its nothing, I never knew you can sing this good
MARCEL
are you sure you are alright?
CLARISSA
(Faking a smile)
of course I am okay, I enjoyed the song that is why.
MARCEL
very emotional kind I guess?
CLARISSA
you guessed right…tell me, are you planning on going into music?
MARCEL
(He laughed)
“music”? common that is not my calling
CLARISSA
not your calling huh? but honestly I feel you should reconsider going into music, you have a perfect voice.
MARCEL
there was a time in my life I badly wanted to be that kind of person, but along the line I felt it’s not in my kind of world
CLARISSA
(confused)
so what is your kind of world? or should I say what kind of world do you belong?
MARCEL
(He went back to his piano)

immediately he asked that, Clarissa’s mood went bad, it was just few weeks back that she had a boyfriend and now she is single again

Marcel was surprised, he wasn’t expecting the hu-g, but he hu-gged her back, Clarissa got herself and moved away feeling awkward.
CLARISSA
sorry about that….I think it has stop raining outside, I have to go
she said and headed for the door even before Marcel could reply her….he rused to her and grabbed her hand
MARCEL
please stay with me, I don’t want to be alone … please
Clarissa try to go again but he held her hand firmly pleasing and she had to accept.
He held her by the hand and walked her to his couch.
MARCEL

CLARISSA
so, what are we going…
she was saying but her phone started ringing, she took out her phone from her sweater she offed the moment she entered Marcel’s room…
CLARISSA
Kenny? why is she calling me?
she asked and picked the call.
what could be the reason why Kenny is calling Clarissa after stealing her man and insulting her at the mall.
