HOSPITAL***
Paige opens her eyes and Carding immediately hugs her tightly.
“I’m glad you’re awake Paige. I almost went insane thinking something bad might happen to you” Carding still hugging her.
Paige broke the hug and looks at him, caressing his face.
“Are you really here with me?” She asked and Carding nods his head.
“What happened Carding? I was afraid, because I was scared I won’t find you beside me if I wake up” Paige said.
Carding sighs and sits beside her on the bed.
“I did something horrible”
“Something horrible? Like what Carding?” Paige asked.
“I didn’t mean to do it, Anger erupted inside of me when I saw you unconscious and I stabbed my Dad” Carding said.
“Is he Dead?”
“I don’t know Paige. After he loss consciousness, I quickly rushed down here with you, Cuz I was afraid of losing you. I’m sorry”.
“Why’re you saying sorry Carding?”
“Because you fell in love with someone like me, you have gone throu-ghso much pains. I’m so sorry Paige. I am sorry for dragging you into my sad life” Carding said with watery eyes.
Paige cupped his face. “Look at me” She said when Carding was just dabbing his head.
Carding slowly looks at her, with eyes filled with pains and emotions.
“Is not your fault that you have a meanie man as your dad and isn’t your fault that we’re going throu-ghthis shit. This is just a test on our love for each other, we just have to stay strong and never give up on our love for each other” Paige said.
Carding held her hand that were still on our face.
“Promise that no matter what happens, you won’t break up with me. I won’t be able to take it Paige. I just love you so much and is driving me nuts every single day. Promise me you won’t break up with me no matter what my dad does to you” Carding said allowing his tears to fall down his eyes.
Paige smiles sadly and use her thumb to clean his tears.
“I won’t Carding and that’s a promise. I won’t ever let your dad be the reason why we have to break up” She said.
“Thank you so much Paige. I love you so much”
“I love you too Carding”.
Carding ki-ss her lightly, before pulling into a hug. Paige hugs him back and they stayed that way, wishing they were the only ones living on earth, so that they won’t have to go throu-ghthe pains they’re feeling right now.

THE CASTILLO’S HOUSE***
“Will my husband be all right?” Helena asked worriedly, while Greg pats her back, obviously trying to calm her down.
“Yes he’ll. Thankfully the bullet didn’t get de-ep inside his leg, which means in a couple of days he’ll be back to his feet” The doctor said.
Helena looks at Edward who was sleeping and covers him with the duvet. The three of them left the room.
“Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate” Greg said.
“Is nothing Greg, I’ll be back tomorrow to check up on him”.
Greg nods his head in agreement and the doctor left.
“Don’t worry mom, Dad is going to be fine” Greg said.
“I know that son, is just I’m sad seeing him in this state. Have you tried calling Paige?” She asked.
“Yes I did, but is not going throu-gh. Desiree said she talked to her earlier, but can’t reach her anymore after Informing her that Vince will be at the train station”.
Helena sighs sadly.
“If something bad happens to Paige, I won’t be able to forgive myself. Maybe if I haven’t agree to them eloping, this won’t have happened, is all my fault” Helena said crying.
“Stop crying Mom. Is not your fault, you did what you had to do because you love Paige and wants her to be happy” Greg said.
“Mom” Paige said when she enters the house.
Helena quickly rushed to her, hugging her so tightly.
“Thank God you’re okay Paige. I thought something bad happened to you” Helena said.
“I’m fine Mom” Paige said.
Helena broke the hug and that was when she saw the bandage on her forehead.
“W-what happen to you Paige?”
“Don’t worry about me mom. Is just a little injury I got from Vince” Paige said and Carding enters the house.
Helena went to him and slaps him so ha-rd on the face.
“Mom!!” Both Greg and Paige said at once.
“You still have the nerves to show up here after what your dad did. How dare you Carding!!! How dare you show your face here!!!” Helena yells at him angrily.
“I’m sorry Aunt” Carding apologize.
“Sorry? Sorry!!! Will your sorry mend everything that has happened. Look at Paige, she sustained an injury because of your dad!!! And just because I was trying to protect you, my husband got shot by that stupid father of yours!!!”
Paige’s eyes wide-ned, when she heard Helen’s last statement.
“W-what? Dad was short?”
“Yes Paige. Carding’s dad shot him when we refused to tell him where you both were” Greg said.
“Where is dad? I have to see him” Paige said as tears falls down her eyes.
“He’s in his room” Greg said.
Paige quickly rushed to Edward’s room and she broke into tears seeing her dad’s shot leg.
“Dad, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry” Paige said crying and her cry woke Edward up.
“Paige”.
“Yes Dad. Is me Paige, I’m sorry you got shot because of me. I’m so sorry” Paige said crying, hugging her dad.
“Is not your fault Paige. So please don’t blame yourself” Edward said weakly.
Paige broke the hug. “Do you feel lots of pains? Should I take you to the hospital?” Paige asked worriedly.
“No don’t bother Paige. I’m fine. There’s something I want to tell you. I thought I won’t be given the chance to tell you if peradventure I die, But I guess the heavens has given me a second chance to tell you the truth” Edward said.
“What truth Edward?” Helena asked.
“Well I… I… You…” Edward stuttered between pains.
“Save it dad. You can tell me all about it when you get better” Paige said hugging him again.
“I’m glad you’re all right Paige” Edward said and more tears falls down Paige’s eyes.
Feeling guilty, Carding couldn’t watch the scence anymore, so he decided to leave. Greg saw him leaving and went after him.
“Carding”
Carding cleans his tears, before turning to face him.
“Yes Greg”
“Where’re you going?” He asked.
“I don’t know”
“You don’t know and yet you’re leaving?”.
“Your mom is right Greg, is all my fault. I shouldn’t show my face to you all after what my Dad did. I feel so guilty right now and I don’t even know how to face you all” Carding said crying.
“Is not your fault Carding. You didn’t wish to be Vince’s son, so Why blame yourself for what happened”.
“But your mom…..”
“She’s just angry. I’m sure she going to go back to herself when she has finally calms down. Let’s go back to the house, you need to rest”.
“But..”
“Just shut up and come with me” Greg said, Carding went mute and Greg smiles.
He pats Carding and said “Don’t be filled with guilt alright, Paige will be mad if she discovers you’re pinning the blame on yourself, Or do you want her to get mad”.
Carding quickly shakes his head.
“So wipe those tears off and let’s go back to the house together”.
Carding cleans his tears and they went back to the house, together.

SAME NIGHT***
“So Carding and Paige tried to elope together but got caught by uncle Vince?” Nadia asked Bryan. Both were at the mall since Bryan wanted to get her something special, as her boyfriend.
“Yeah. Desiree called earlier and told me about. She is with Paige right now, since both are best of friends” Bryan said.
“They shouldn’t have tried to elope” Nadia said.
“I think I admire their relationship, they were ready to let go of everything just to be together”.
“But eloping is never the solution”.
“Really?”
“Yes Bryan. They tried to elope but they got caught, landing them into more problem”.
“At least they tried to stand for their love, unlike some who always deny that I’m her boyfriend at any given chance she gets”.
“Are you trying to compare me to Paige now. I’m not like her Bryan. And simply because I didn’t let the world know that you’re my boyfriend, doesn’t mean I don’t love you Bryan” Nadia said.
“You love him?”
Bryan and Nadia turns behind them and sees Nadine and her mom. Nadia’s heart sinks on seeing her mom.
“I knew it. I knew you were lying about not knowing who he was. Tsk tsk tsk, your esteems are very low Nadia” Nadine said folding her hands in disgust.
“Mom I can explain” Nadia said but Mrs. McDonald shut her up with a slap.
“Ma’am, you can’t do that to my girlfriend” Bryan said covering Nadia.
“Girlfriend? How dare you call my daughter your girlfriend? What can a poor wrenched guy like you offer my daughter!!” Mrs. McDonald yells at him.
“Simply because I’m poor, doesn’t mean I will be poor forever”.
Mrs. McDonald looks at Bryan and snickers.
“That’s what you poor folks always say just to give yourself some little hopes. My daughter isn’t your match, so stay away from her. Let’s go home Nadia” Mrs. McDonald said.
Bryan held Nadia’s hand.
“We love each other ma’am and she’s not going to come with you. I don’t care if I’ll have to go against you” Bryan said holding Nadia’s hand.
But Nadia takes her hand from him and Bryan looks at her with surprised.
“Nadia”
“Let’s break up” She said and tears immediately formed itself in Bryan’s eyes.
“You’re jocking, right?” Bryan asked feeling so hurt.
“No I’m not. I am tired of keeping our relationship a secret. I’m sorry Bryan, but I am not like Paige, so I can’t go against my mom just to be with you. Since my mom already find out about our relationship, I think it ends here. Forget about me” Nadia said and leaves.
“Nadia you can’t…..”
“Don’t even think about going after my daughter, wrenched guy” Mrs. McDonald spats on his face and leaves.
Nadine looks at him and chuckles before joining her mom.
Bryan stayed unmoved. Nadia just broke up with him, without even thinking twice about it or even let her mom know he’s the guy she loves.
He’s heart was broken into a thousand pieces.

Desiree opens the door when she held Bryan knocking on the door. And immediately she opened the door, Bryan hug-ged her crying.
“What’s wrong Bryan? Why’re you crying?” Desiree asked.
“Nadia broke up with me” Bryan said between tears.
“Nadia broke up with you? Why Bryan?” Desiree asked looking surprised.
“I didn’t do anything wrong Desiree. We were in the mall together and then we saw her mom. She find out that we were dating, I was ready to fight for my love for her, but Nadia wasn’t. She just broke up with me saying she can’t go against her mom just to be with me. It hurts so much Desiree. I endure everything she always does because I love her so much, but she didn’t value my love for her. I’m so heartbroken Desiree” Bryan said crying, still hugging Desiree tightly.
“That’s enough Bryan, stop wasting your tears because of her”.
“I really loved her, l love her so much” Bryan said crying.
Desiree blinks back her tears. Hearing Bryan say he loves Nadia so much is really breaking her heart. It just so ha-rd for her to forget about her feelings for Bryan.
“Cry all you want Bryan. I’m here for you” Desiree said, finally hugging him back.
More tears falls down Bryan’s eyes as he hugs Desiree more tightly, crying.

THE NEXT DAY=THE WENDELL’S MANSION***
“Where’s Vince?” Odessa asked when she couldn’t find Vince in his room.
“He left the house few hours ago ma’am”.
“Did he say where he was going?”
“No he didn’t. But he left with some of his men”.
“Where did he go?” Odessa muffled.

Paige and her family’s screams could loudly be heard as Vince’s men destroyed everything inside their house.
“What the heck did you think you’re doing!!!!!” Paige yells as more tears falls down her eyes.
“This property belongs to me so I’m sending you all out” Vince said.
“Aren’t you taking this too personal, we aren’t the only one in this neighborhood!!!” Paige shouted.
“I know, but I’m started with your house first. Destroyed everything inside the house” Vince orders. Desiree tries to bu-tt in, but Bryan held her back not to.
Carding went with Greg to get medicines for Edward. So the both of them weren’t at home at that moment.
Edward was forcefully brou-ght out from the house and Vince’s men push him to the ground, not caring about his injured leg.
“Edward!” Helena screams rushing to where Edward was, crying. Edward gro-ans in so much pains.
“Monster!!!” Paige screams hitting Vince’s chest. Vince forcefully grabbed her hair and Paige winces in pain.
“You’re the reason why Carding stabbed me, guess you will have to return the favor in hundred fonds” Vince said and slaps Paige so ha-rd on the face.
Paige falls to the ground bleeding from her li-ps. Vince chocked her neck and Paige struggles to breath.
“Paige!!” Helena and Edward calls her name.
Tessa and Clark came down from the car and Tessa’s eyes wide-ned when she sees the scence going on.
“Vince!!”
Vince angrily looks at the person that called him, but his eyes became a mixture of mist and surprised.
“Te….ssa” Vince stuttered surprisingly.
“What the heck are you doing to our child?” Tessa asked.
And everyone went numb. Vince and Paige’s surprised were the highest.
“Our child” Vince muttered with surprised.
“Yes Vince. I’m going to explain everything to you later, but stop hurting Paige. She’s your daughter, Ca-ssandra. And she and Carding are half siblings”.
The nylon of drugs fell down from Carding’s hand when he heard the word half siblings. He and Greg just came back from the pharmacy.
“Paige is my daughter?” Vince asked as thick tears falls down her eyes.
“Yes she is your daughter” Tessa said.
“No you’re mistaken. How can Paige be your daughter when I birthed her?” Helena asked.
“I was in danger years ago and I handed my baby over to Edward. Didn’t he tell you who Paige really is?” Tessa asked.
And Helena looks at Edward.
“What did heck is she talking about? Why is she saying Paige is her daughter? Don’t tell me that this is what you wanted to tell Paige last night? Answer me Edward!!!” Helena yells at him.
“Is true Helena. Paige isn’t our daughter. I made you believe she was our daughter when ours died because she was born premature. I didn’t know Vince is her dad, but since Tessa here is her mom. It means Paige is Vince’s daughter” Edward said and Helena broke into tears.
More tears falls down Vince’s eyes as he looks at Paige.
“My baby Ca-ssandra” Vince said crying going close to Paige.
And Paige shakes her head.
“Don’t come anywhere close to me. You’re not my dad!!!, I’m not your daughter!!!, No!!!!!” Paige screams and pa-ssed out.
“Paige!!” Everyone said rushing to where she was.
Carding tries to go to her, but his feet couldn’t move no matter how he tried to. The words half siblings keeps ringing in his ears.
*I fell in love with my sister. I-I-I and Paige are half siblings* His inner mind said and Carding took to his heels crying, running to only where God knows.
