Ruben’s hand touched his slapped cheek, it already turned red and felt like it was burning.
Beauty didn’t know when she did that, she regretted it almost immediately.
Beauty pouted, her li-ps angrily and walked towards her dress and underwear, she picked them up and wore them one after the other.
Ruben was shocked about the slap, he just got slapped by a woman, but de-ep inside he knows he deserves it.
Beauty threw the bedsheet back on the bed, she wanted to leave, but Ruben rushed to her and grabbed her arms.
“Leave me alone,” Beauty yelled, struggling with him.
“You can’t leave, if any of the guards see you, they will take you back to Father!” Ruben yelled and released her arms.
He walked to bed and, sat on it,he touched his cheek again..
” You didn’t have to slap me,” Ruben snapped, feeling pain in his cheek. Her hand might be small but so painful.
” I did right by slapping you, you are playing with my feelings and I hate you for that “Beauty yelled at him.
” You can’t force me to love you “He argued.
” I don’t want your love anymore, it’s toxic and I made a mistake trying to love a beast and terrible person like you”Beauty ranted hurting him.
She moved close to the door and sat on the floor.
Ruben scoffed and laid on the bed.
” When you are ready, come back to the bed “Ruben muttered and closed his eyes.
Beauty pouted, she almost ruined everything by slapping him.
” Beauty control yourself”Beauty said to herself and closed her eyes.
(Next morning)
Mabel’s chamber **
“Good morning Miss” Katie greeted Mabel.
Mabel squinted at her but didn’t reply.
“A-actually, I came here to make a plan with you, I can’t fulfil this plan without you” Katie said slowly.
“What plan?” Mabel asked still looking uninterested in the conversation..
“Beauty is interested in Lord Ruben and she’s trying to make him fall for her, if he falls in love with her, he will forget you” Katie replied but there was no reaction from Mabel.
“So?”
“So I have a plan to frame her up and I need you to help me, ” Katie added.
She is Ivy’s spy but that’s not enough, she needs to partner up with someone else.
“What do you gain from this?Are you interested in Ruben too?” Mabel asked curiously.
“No Miss, I like Lord Darian but he has eyes for Beauty” Katie replied and pouted.
Mabel started laughing loudly.
“You are so naive,” Mabel laughed.
She knows Darian would never reciprocate her love but she’s going join forces with her and get rid of Beauty, she wants to remain the favourite and it’s high time she gets rid of that pest.
“What’s the plan?” Mabel asked and adjusted herself on the bed.

Betsy’s suite ***
“Coffee, for my beauty queen” Nicolas giggled and gave Betsy a cup of coffee.
“Thank you” Betsy gave a warm smile and sipped from the coffee.
Betsy took another sip and looked at him “Who’s that girl you were feeding?”
“Are you still jealous about that?” Nicolas laughed.
“I just asked a simple question”
“Her name is Jessi, we are friends, we actually came at the same time” Nicolas explained and smirked.
“Alright, I trust you,” Betsy muttered.
Nicolas sat beside her and pulled her into his arms.
“Can I ask a question?” Betsy asked, staring at his face.
“Yes”
“Is it possible for you to be.. be entangled with a spirit being, a person who isn’t human?” She asked, uncertain if he would be able to understand her.
“Yes, I’ve watched some movies when the person could go on Astral travels to meet their mates, that is, if they are astral beings or demons” Nicolas replied scaring her.
“That means, I am mated to a demon,” Betsy subconsciously said.
“Would it be for life?”
“Maybe” Nicolas muttered and ki-ssed her cheek.

Lord Ruben’s suite **
Beauty stretched her body and woke up in the bed.
“How did I get here?” She asked herself and yawned.
Ruben faced her while he was wearing his shirt.
“Good morning,” Beauty muttered, still holding a grudge.
“Morning”
“Won’t your father look for me?” Beauty asked.
“No, he won’t even remember your face” Ruben replied pretty sure.
“Alright, Ruby”… ”
” Don’t call me that “Ruben shunned coldly.
” I mean Lord Ruben, won’t I get pregnant? “Beauty asked, they’ve had s-ex twice and getting pregnant in such a place isn’t an option.
Ruben stared at her oddly.
” No you won’t because the slave’s food contains contraceptives, you can’t get pregnant except you avoid the food “Ruben replied..
Beauty nodded, a bit relieved.
” Why are you bothered about that? “He questioned.
” I don’t want to get pregnant for a man who feels nothing for me, it’s still going to be the same for my baby “Beauty replied sensibly.
” You should leave “Ruben ordered and left his suite..

Slave’s chamber ***
” Beauty “Katie yelled, pretending to be happy.
She rushed to hug Beauty.
” Hi, Katie”Beauty smiled and hug-ged her back.
“Did he touch you?” Katie asked.
“No” Beauty responded, Katie took her to the bed.
They both sat down.
“I need you to help me write something” Katie requested and bright out a paper and pen.
“I don’t know how to write or read properly, I can’t even spell properly but I know you can help me” Katie muttered with a smile.
“I will try,” Beauty smiled and collected them from her.
“I… love… Ruben and I… will kill you” Katie said and Beauty wrote it but then when finished, she read what she had written..
“What do you mean by you love Ruben?” Beauty asked in disbelief..
“Don’t worry, you will understand later” Katie smiled and collected the paper from her.
“Thanks,” Katie said and hug-ged her.
….
Later in the evening…
Katie added the poison to the glas-sof orange juice smartly.
“Beauty” Katie called and Beauty walked to her.
“Take this to Miss Mabel’s chamber” Katie said and handed the jive over to Beauty.
“Okay” Beauty smiled and went to Mabel’s room..
Beauty is still confused about the note she had written but can’t seem to make any sense from it.
….
She got into Mabel’s chamber and dropped the juice on the table.
“Bring it here” Mabel mumbled, the former walked up to her and gave her the gla-ss.
Mabel gulped down the juice.
“You may leave” Mabel smirked and Beauty left.
Beauty got outside.
“Why is she acting strange?” Beauty asked, feeling suspicious..

At the dining table, it’s always a ritual to have dinner when Lord Stone wants it or when he’s around.
He actually had s-ex with Ivy yesterday since Beauty disappeared but like Ruben had said, he doesn’t even remember her.
The maids had placed a lot of food on the table, everyone was present on the table including Mabel.
“Should we pray?” Darian asked and they laughed.
“Let’s eat already, I’m hungry” Darian pouted, rubbing his stomach..
Mabel gro-aned, her stomach feeling so tight and unsettled, she didn’t feel well at all, the poison was already taking its effects.
Ruben looked at her and saw how strange she was acting.
“Mabel, are you okay?” He asked.
Mabel mo-an-ed out in pain ,blood dropped from her nostrils.
“fuc-k !” Milan gasped.
“Mabel” Ivy called in shock.
Mabel wanted to respond but she spat a handful of blood on the plate of food.
“Mabel” Ruben called and stood up.
Mabel in a few second started convulsing. They all stood up except Lord Stone.
Ruben rushed over to her.
“Mabel!” He called but she was already unconscious.
“Mabel!!!”
