CHAPTER 22 & 23

{ MISERABLE}
Heaven saw that the ki-ss was getting tender so she pulled her hands off his back.
Elvis slowly broke the ki-ss, sulking before pulling the edge of her li-ps sweetly.
He stared at her dotted, circled eyes and a light chuckle escaped his li-ps.
” I really love you heaven and I don’t care whatever anyone says about us.” He said, gulping in hardly.
Heaven nodded her head shyly.
” I love you too, Elvis” She whispered, but inwardly, her head was sparking in excitement, wanting her to scream how much she loves him!.
The students began to clap from the back seat and soon, the clap encircled the entire hall.
???? They are both cute as Fuc-k!
???? I wish someone could ki-ss me that way!
???? I’d pay my life saving to be with elvis!
???? Idiot, I’d get to him before you!
???? You dare not!
???? Just watch and see!
???? I’mma kill you!
At that spot, three girls started to fight sillily.
The first girl took off her shoes and the other two rushly picked some cutlery on their table.
They started to hit eachother hardly and heaven stared at them astonished.
She started laughing cutely, not realising how de-eply Elvis was staring at her.
She quickly turned to face him and her lashes circled when she saw that charming looks from him again.
” Um…” She cleared her throat, avoiding his gaze.
” You are really cute. I could watch you laugh all day” He grinned and she bit her li-ps ha-rd before grabbing his palm, interlocking her fingers with him.
” You have the whole time in the world, elvis” She smiled.
Soon, the principal walked into the cafeteria skeptically.
” What’s going on here?!” She yelled and all the student instantly stood on their feet.
” The lunch is over and everyone is still here having lunch??. Is there a special occasion going on?” She asked, holding her waist.
Without giving a reply, everyone started to leave the cafeteria one after the other.
The principal stared at Elvis and a ha-rd scoff left her li-ps before she walked out.
Eden walked up to True and got her feet freed.
” You can’t say thank you?” Eden smirked.
” What sort of thank you do you want!. I’m sure you didn’t realise I was going throu-gha breakdown while standing there!” True spat.
” Say thank you or I make you hop to cla-ss” She snarled.
True fisted her palm.
” Thank you!” She spat and started to walk away in anger.
Eden spelled her feet again and she started to hop to cla-ss.
” Arrrgh!. Why are you doing this to me, Eden. Why!” True yelled, hopping high and low.
” Cos it feels funny when I spell you” She giggled.
” You are so done with when my powers come back, Eden. I’d make you walk nak-ed to cla-ss” She said and Eden spelled her again.
Her uniform shirt vanished from her chest and her it got replaced by stitches.
” No!!” She screamed shamefully, hopping into the corridor.
Everyone who saw her kept staring and some were already laughing .
But the few who didn’t were only scared cos she was the principal daughter.
As soon as she had gone meters away in the corridor, everyone instantly brou-ght out their phones.
They filmed the whole scene and posted it in the school blog.
” Hash tag, Duck queen gone mad!” Eden spat as she posted hers.
She dropped an head-less duck emoji next to the caption before keeping her phone into her pocket.
” We’ll see who’s the real wicked witch” She snarled before walking away.
****
AFTER SCHOOL***
All the student were gathered outside academia High. Some cars had started to leave the compound.
Megan and Heaven started to leave the balcony together.
They discussed about the horrible stuff that was posted on the school blog. It seems everyone is talking about it.
” I hope it doesn’t get to the principal” Heaven said.
” I’m very sure it will and there’s gonna be a big problem to all those who filmed it. I still don’t understand the reason behind her behaving like that” Megan thought.
Soon, Elvis came out of the school and a text appeared on Heaven’s phone.
She looked up and saw him standing there, tall and elegant as he was.
” Hey!!” She hopped happily and Elvis gave a little noticeable wink.
She quickly turned to Megan.
” Oh, Elvis is out. I’ll see you tomorrow at school”
” Yea, bye!” Megan waved with a smile.
She watched them hold hands and soon, they began to leave the school together.
Her smile faded away and soon, her eyes blurred with tears.
” At least, I knew heaven was better than me in the beginning. I feel like I’m a mere cosplay. I’m never going to find True love, No, it’s not even in my dictionary” She frowned and wiped her cheeks hurtfully.
She started to walk away, her face was down.
A car was in front of her but her she was lost in her de-ep immense thought.
Soon, the horn sounded and she looked up instantly.
The car was heading towards her in a damn, reckless speed.
” Ahh!” She screamed with her arm, blocking the scary view from her face.
Before anything could happen to her, someone pulled her up and screeched out of the way quickly.
She fell her head on a ha-rd chest and her hands slowly found it way around the body.
Her eyes kept streaming with tears.
” Are you okay?” It was a male voice, she thought with her eyes still close.
” Am I alive?” She asked, her weak legs shaking terribly.
” Open your eyes and see” He said and Megan pulled one eyes open.
She looked around and saw she was at a safe side away from the highway.
She rubbed her we-t cheeks and opened her other eye while stepping away from him to stare at her hero.
Her eyes blinked in amusement as her eyes searched his face in wonder.
” So do you believe you’re alive now, peach?” Dove asked. He was on a black mask behind his li-ps.
” I..I’m…actually…” She stuttered, holding the strap of her bag uncomfortably.
” You’re lucky I was a feet away from the incident.” He patted her hair as his eyes squinted with a smile.
” Be more careful next time cos I’m not a hero twice.” He said and picked his bag before walking away.
He’s black luxury car was a bit further away. He got in and soon he drove away speedily.
” Thank you!!” She shouted with a long wave of her hand, hoping he heard.
” I know he’s being nice just to get my attention. What if he was behind the car collision?. I guess he was” She snarled before walking away.
****
ELVIS HOME**
Elvis walked into his home carefully.
He met Jean on one of the sofa, she was crying heavily whilst rolling around.
” Jean!” He called and kept his bag, running towards her quickly. ” Are you okay?.” His voice sounded caring as he stared everywhere around her.
” I have stomach ache. Its hurt so much” She sobbed.
He looked around and got a bottle of water from a stool before stretching it to her.
” Have this?”
” No!” She threw it far away.
” You want food?”
” No!”
” Sleep…a rest?” His brows creased up.
” No, No, NO!!” She hiccup and hug-ged him plainly.
Elvis received her friendly and patted her head, rubbing it warmly.
” You’ll be fine. I’ll call mom to come over” He said and She moved closer to him, placing her face at a crook of his neck.
Her hands started moving on his chest slowly till it got to his face.
She smooched his chin gently.
” I just need a chest as warm and ha-rd as this and I’ll be okay” She smiled, brushing her thumb on his neck bone.
” Why do you have to be this gorgeous” She chuckled.
Elvis pulled her away quickly and stared at her eyes.
” You’re lying?. You aren’t even sick. You know I read minds” He glared at her.
” I told you to quit reading my mind!. I hate it!”
” I couldn’t resist cos you acted very coy” He said.
” Fatherless and motherless fool!” She hissed and walked out of him quickly.
Elvis sighed and stared into space for a while.
” Sometimes, it’s better being dead than being insulted that way as an orphan” He scoffed and picked his bag before running up stairs.
He got to his room and sat on his bed before throwing the summoning ring on the floor.
Lucy quickly appeared.
” Lucy, I need your help” He stood up quickly.
” What’s that, son?” She asked and his eyes wide-ned.
” S..Son?” He stuttered and a blunt smile was on her cheeks.
” It’s a new nickname I got for you elvis. ” She said and he sighed in relief.
” Lucy. Um..For some reason, I used my powers on True at school and now, she knows I have powers. She knows I’m the Immortal” He said, squinting his eyes.
” What???” Lucy panicked.
” I…I…couldn’t control it cos she was trying to ki-ss me and I…I got very upset” He sighed, itching his hair nervously.
” Elvis. Elvis you are in danger. I told you not to reveal your powers to those clans at all cost!” She said, her voice cracking up.
” What am I supposed to do??” He asked and Lucy fell her shoulders bluntly.
” Heaven is the only person to get you out of this mess. She’s your only cure. I can’t fight for you cos I’m no longer in human world” She said.
” But she doesn’t know who she is yet?”
” Its up to you to make her know her worth” She said and the ring began to wobble mysteriously
He sighed and saw her vanish out of sight.
He picked the ring and kept it before going into the shower.
Instantly, Jean came into his room and took the ring.
” I’m breaking this ring!” She muttered before she tiptoed out of the room as well.
After shower, Elvis climbed up the bed and picked his phone.
He saw a text from heaven.
She had sent a cute bunny sleeping emoji and he smiled, forgetting that he was in danger.
He sent a heart emoji before he buried his phone on his bare cold chest.
” I should find an adorable nickname for my mate.” He thought, staring at the ceiling blankly.
****
HEAVEN’S HOME***
The knife stung throu-ghhis chest for the tenth time and it was pulled out, his kidney and heart pulling out in the process.
Heaven grabbed her pillow as different images began to replay in her head.
She tightened her eyes and began to whimper in her sleep.
Her hands was chained to the air.
She couldn’t do anything but cry and scream as the horrible scene happened in front of her eyes.
Soon, He got pushed and he came falling down the long height, his blood tripping out in the air.
” No!!!!!!!. Elvis!!!!!” She screamed loudly and she instantly got up on her bed, sweating heavily.
She looked around and saw it was still in the middle of the night.
She hug-ged her Teddy bear and pouted her li-p, crying silently as her heart clenched in so much pain.
” Not again!!. Why this nightmare everytime. No, Not my elvis. Not my crush. Nothing must happen to him” She sobbed painfully like it actually happened real.
The nanny quickly walked into her room and turned on the light.
” Are you okay, dear?” She asked and heaven cleaned her cheeks.
” I’m fine, I just had a serious nightmare” She frowned.
” What is it about?” She asked.
” I can’t even explain it. it was just too horrific” She said, sobbing again.
” It’s okay, heaven. Remember that you’re prone to nightmares since you were six”
” But this one was really scary. I saw my friend being stabbed. Ouch, it was so terrible” She sniffed.
” I think you should tell that friend of yours to be careful, it might be a sign of danger”
” Really?”
” Yes dear. Remember when you dreamt that your dad an accident and it happened the following day?”
Heaven frowned and cleaned her cheeks, yet tears couldn’t stop coming down her cheeks.
” I’ll tell my friend to be careful” She said.
“Good. Now try get some sleep. You have school in the morning” She said and turned off the light before leaving the room.
Heaven rested her head on pillow and kept her eyes open till the following morning.
She dare not sleep.
****
NEXT DAY*** ACADEMIA**
Heaven pressed her li-p tight as her face creased up cutely.
” Eight o clock and he isn’t here yet!.” She pouted.
Soon, Elvis started walking into the school and she quickly ran to him, pulling him in a hug.
” You’re here, finally!” She sighed.
” How’s your night?” He asked, palming her small face in his tender hands.
” Very bad. I had a strange nightmare and I’m scared cos you were the victim” She said.
” What’s it about?” His brows creased and she started blabbering about everything that happened the previous night.
Elvis realised everything Lucy told him was true. He was in danger.
” You need to be careful, Elvis. I’m scared something would happen to you. I don’t want anything to hurt you, not even for a bit” She said.
” I will be careful, I promise” He stared at her intensely before he ki-ssed her forehead.
They got to clas-sand everyone settled down in their seat cos they were informed to do so.
A tall slender woman walked in, she’s wearing all black and her dark hair was tied with a golden comb.
” Hello cla-ss!!” She didn’t smile and her voice was tough and strict.
She noticed Elvis at the back seat and her heart skipped in fear. It’s normal for half witches to be scared of the choosen one.
” You. Come to the front seat quickly” She pointed at him and Elvis looked around before coming up to his feet.
He sat in the front seat and she picked her pen, writing bold on the board. IMMORTALS.
” Immortals!” She said and turned to Elvis. ” Today, this is what we would be talking about.”
Elvis raised his brows, wondering why she was interested in him this much.
” What’s your name?” She snarled.
” Elvis”
” I’m sure you can explain to us what Immortals are?” She cringed, coming close to him before palming his table.
” I..I don’t know” He looked away from her face.
” Stop lying to me, kid!. You know what they are, isn’t it?” She glared at him har-der .
Everyone was watching, wondering what was happening.
” Or perhaps, you can tell us what they can do, mn?” She smiled at him widely.
” Ma!” Heaven raises her arm.
” What is it?”
” We are supposed to have history. Is Immortal part of history cos its not in our scheme?” She said.
???? Yea, same here too
???? I thought our scheme was changed
The teacher sighed and turned to face the board in order to rub it off.
” Ma.” Elvis grinned his teeth, staring at her intensely. “I can tell you what Immortals are. But I’d prefer to show you alone so you can have a proper understanding” Elvis said and her marker dropped in fear.
