Still starring at the man who walked in,Brian stone who has been starring at me finally turned around to look at the intruder
“What do you want?”He asked impatiently
“Well I just want to know how the young miss is doing your highness” the man said
“Your not a p@rt of my team, Who are you? or better yet who s£nt you? ” Brian asked
“Its My boss, Don Michael” He replied
“I should have known” Brian responded looking angry
I stared at the Prince and saw the way he reacted with just seeing one of Michael guards
I recognised the man because he was the one who had always hang around Michael and am sure that he c@m£ in only to confirm that I hadn’t been telling the Prince any thing about him,I thought feeling so very angry
“You can tell him to mind his darn business and the next time you come In like that without knocking,I will personally throw you in Jail” Brian said angrily and the guard sm-irk giving me a warning look before he left the room
“The nerve of that bastard! How dare he s£nd his guard here to check on you,You were never close with him Dora! How come he is asking about you?”
“I…..I….. I ” I couldn’t utter a thing because I was scared
Scared to say the wrong thing and ruin Michael plan
” It was our engagement p@rty last night,You should have had enough decency to have stayed behind after the great scandal you caused”He said again
“Scandal? I caused a scandal?” I asked
“Yes, You did? Don’t tell me that this little accident you had,Had erased your memory”
“I really don’t know what your talking about”
“The doctor said you only hit your head and suffered a bruise which he thinks it hadn’t been caused by the accident more like a punch on the face”
He was probably talking about the punch Michael gave me
“Ap@rt from that you are perfectly okay,You certainly can’t be having amnesia and besides you have to tell me what got that bruise on your face” He demanded
“Its nothing?” I replied
“You were perfectly alright When you left the p@rty!”
“I just knock myself on the wall” I Lied tou-ching my bruised face
“Fine,If you don’t want to tell me,That’s your problem,We aren’t that close to want to pry in each other lives”
To know that Dora and the Prince weren’t close enough with each other only made me feel wary
How can two people who want to spend the rest of their lives together don’t meddle In each other affairs
Never have I had a guy who cherished me or loved me, Working a lot made me so busy that I ha-rd ly had time for it but now I have no option than to be In a relationsh!pwhich I certainly don’t want
“What matters now,Is what you did at the p@rty,You really got everyone angry” He said
I sighed gently,I didn’t know what Dora did before she left the p@rty yesterday,
The stupid Michael should have at least have some knowledge in this before s£nding me into the dragon den
Suddenly his phone began to ring and frustratedly he answered and after speaking on it for a while,He turned it off
“That is my mom,She has just called to tell me that the newspaper is alre-ady out”
“Can you plea-se tell me what happened last night?” I asked as gently as I could
“My God its so easy for you to forget right?” He asked angrily
“I didn’t forget it on purpose, I was caught up in an accident and I can’t recall some few things”
“Fine then,Since you claim to be having a temporary amnesia,I will tell you what you did”
“Yesterday had suppose to be the day we get engaged but due to your stupid pride you have made it all useless”
“Have a look at this!’He said thrû-sting me his phone
I picked it up and saw Dora k!ss!nga man at the balcony
Seemed like she hadn’t know that some one had caught them both
A while later I saw a picture of her and her lover k!ss!ngbeing displa-yed on the big screen at the engagement p@rty
A while later I saw another video of her storming out of the room into her car and then driving off
If only she had known that entering her car will be the last one for her that night ,Then she probably might still be alive
“So? What do you have to say to that” He questioned fiercely
“That am sorry for causing all this problem” I replied and saw the surprise on his face.
What is wrong now? Have I just said something wrong?
BRIAN POV
For a while I kept on starring at her, Did she just say that she would apologise, Have something come over her or is her accident worst that ?
I still can’t believe that Dora Baxter apologizes
When I saw the video of her k!ss!nganother guy I didn’t feel jealous or to feel the things that should be felt by an engage besotted guy
I wasn’t i n love with her and she can have her own lover for all I care but she could at least have done it with a little bit of discretion
“Why are you starring at me like that?” Dora asked and once again I starred at her
It kind of feel strange and I don’t know why but I feel that the Dora that woke up after the accident is different from the one of the past
Why I felt that way I would never know,Could just be my head wishing for a better Dora,I thought before putting it at the back of your mind
“You surprise me Dora,You never apologise to people but suddenly here you are! Apologising to me?,I will surely be surprised right?”I asked searching her face for a while but it remained as blank as possible.
Odd,I was able to re-ad her thoughts by re-ading her face in the past but now,I can’t possibly re-ad a thing,Has she built some kind of barrier to her self
” Was I that really bad?”She asked and I knew that it was time for her to see a doctor
She has certainly forgotten that she has a bad character,A character which almost everyone hate including me,If it hadn’t been for the merger,I would have left but I had to wait and I will keep on waiting until I get the chance to get her signature on the do¢v-ment and then I would leave her life completely
“As bad a witch,You tormented always Everyone” I replied starring at her,Let her feel guilty for a while
Just then the door open and her parents walked in
“Finally she is up?” Minister Baxter yelled at her contemptuously
“You have brou-ght nothing but disgrace Dora,Nothing but disgrace!” Her mother yelled at her
She sat on the be-d and stared at them for a while before bringing herself to speak
“If I have cause anyone problem or pain then am sorry”She apologised again
I was sure that her parents were thrown off by her apology too but they didn’t show it as they continued to rant and rant on Dora head
The Dora I knew would have yelled at them to shut up or would have ask them to leave but she stayed mildly and accepted all their insult
This is something new to me,I thought standing behind not wanting to meddle
” Am sorry”She whispered again
“So finally you’ve learn to say the I’m sorry word right? Well it c@m£ at the wrong time, You have tarnished your reputation In front of his Highness, I only hope that you can live to bear the consequence” Dora mother flung at me
“Your highness,We will un-derstand if you decide to cancel the wedding ” Minister Baxter said
Just hearing him say that I felt so relieved.
If I said yes,Then I won’t have to continue this farce,I thought hoping that he would refuse
I looked up and find them starring at me in a very strange way
Should I just st©p this farce of a marriage,I thought

I stood in front of the mirror Starring at Myself
I just can’t believe that am the one in front of the mirror
Am totally different and it’s all due to the make up and the wealthy accessories of Dora
Little by little am taking over Dora’s life ,Have been here for three days now and though I ha-rd ly leave my room I still have to see and talk to Dora parents and today is not an exception too
The prince will be visiting us and I have to be there to welcome him
There was a knock on the door and the maid walked in
“Miss Dora your mother asked me to tell you that the guest have arrived”She said
I turned and gave her a smile “I will be there soon”
The girl looked at me a bit weirdly before leaving the room
Dora had been cruel and nas-ty to all the workers, Me being nice and smiling to them is a new thing to them
Dora and I might have the same face but we are different.
“Try to do every thing the way Dora did and you won’t be found out” Those were the words Michael told me when he called two days ago
I might be pretending to be Dora but I can’t possibly be nas-ty and cruel to others, My father taught me to give respect to others so I will be given respect in return and that’s what I will do and I don’t care if they notice.
Taking a de-ep breath, I took the new phone given to me by Dora father and then I left the room
I was heading downstairs when I saw an old man cleaning the rail of the stairs
I recognised him to be the man Dora had sl@pped on the day I had first seen her.
Why would he still be working in a house where he is abused all the time,I thought as I began to walk past him
And at that instant the man sli-pped and almost fell but I was there to hold him.
“Are you okay sir?”I asked starring at him
“Yes miss Dora I am”He said moving away
“plea-se don’t fire me because of this, I will do extra job,Just don’t fire me”He said kneeling in front of me
“No,Don’t do that sir”I said bending to lift him up
“Just let me beg you, You had told me that any more mistake from me, I would be s£nt away and I can’t afford to lose this job”He begged and I felt my heart reach out to him
“Don’t worry, You won’t be fired, I won’t fire you”I said holding his hands which was shaking a lot
“Do you really mean that?”He asked unsure
“Of course, You shouldn’t be cleaning the stairs, You are not that strong to do it , Let me get the other maid for you”I said
“No! plea-se don’t! I will keep on doing it”He replied
“But you look a bit tired sir and……”
“I will be fine Miss Dora, I can do it,All I nee-d to know is that you won’t fire me”
“I wont,Have given you my word alre-ady”I replied and He smiled gently
I walked off and still feeling worried I called a maid who walked past me
“I think that man is tired and he refuses to leave what he is doing, So plea-se watch over him”I told the girl
“Yes Miss Dora”She replied and quic-kly walked off.
I continued to walk off and when I got to the room where the meeting would be taken place, I waited a bit, Feeling nervous.
“Won’t you be going in” Some one said behind me
I turned and saw The prince starring at me, He also had this weird look on his face and just then his expression changed to one of anger.
He stared at me angrily and walked past me almost pushing me out of the way.
What happened? I thought as I went in after him
“Where is she ?”I heard Dora father ask
“She is coming”Brian replied as he took a seat.
I walked further in and when they all saw me they gave me a smile except Brian who was starring at the table still looking angry
I knew every one there except two people who sat beside Brian
“Show some manners and bow to your future father in law and mother in law”Dora father said starring at me
If they were going to be my future father and mother in law then they must be Brian parents,I thought as I bowed gently
“Come have a seat my dear”Dora mother said looking at me affectionately
What’s wrong with her? I thought as I went to seat beside her on the large sofa
“Ap@rt from being pretty, She is also well mannered” The Queen said smiling at me
“You haven’t gotten to know her yet,So don’t say that”Brian said as he took the glas-s which was filled with whisky and drank in one gulp
“You are right your Highness, Your parents haven’t gotten to know her yet, If they get to know her am sure that they would love her” Dora father gave Brian a reply.
“Why don’t we just get to the reason why we are here, I still have other appointment” Brian said drinking another glas-sful of whisky
“Brian is right, it’s time to talk about the d@t£ of the wedding” The king said
“What d@t£ would you want it to be your majesty”Dora father asked the king
“On the 15th of Next month”He replied and I stared at the king
Why did it have to be so soon,I thought
“I do hope all the arrangement can be made before that day”He asked and Dora parents nodded in approval
“The 15th is perfect, A perfect day for the wedding and don’t worry about a thing your majesty, We will take care of it all” Dora father said flaunting off his wealth
“We still haven’t talked about the real reason for all this”Brian said starring at all of us
“Oh the merger! Don’t worry about it, It will surely take place” Dora father replied
“I want a written do¢v-ment of that statement”He said starring at him
“Brian that’s being rude”The king said starring at his son
“And how am I being rude? I will be marrying their daughter, Will be spending the rest of my life with her, It’s only appropriate that I ask for a written statement, After all its the reason why am getting married”He said looking angry and some how I felt that he really hates this as much as I did.
He didn’t want to get married but because of some darn business merger he has to
“Fine then a written statement would be made your Highness”Dora father said and he nodded in approval
Just then Brian phone rang and he excused himself before leaving the room
As soon as he left, They all began to talk about the wedding.
I couldn’t concentrate because I kept on thinking about Brian behaviour
He doesn’t want to get married and that’s the same thing I want too, I thought happily
I better talk to him and make a deal with him, He would have no choice than to accept ,After all he wasnt interested in marrying me.
I stood up suddenly and they all st©pped talking
“I…..I just want to go and check up on his Highness,He is taking quite long”I said
“Feeling possessive alre-ady, Go and bring your man right here” The Queen said giving me a bright smile
Just hearing her call Brian my man made me feel weird.
I was heading outside when suddenly the storage door was opened and I was pu-ll-ed into it r0ûghly
I turned to find Michael behind me “why are you here”I asked surprised by his sudden appearance
“To check on you”He replied
“Why would you want to check on me,Am doing everything you are asking me to do”I said
“I know and I trust you to do the job perfectly”
“I better let you in on the real reason why am here”He added
“And what would the real reason be?”I asked
“Its time to put you to your first task”
“My first task?”I asked
“Don’t tell me you have forgotten the real reason why you are here”He asked and after thinking about it for a while,I stared at him in horror
“Don’t tell me that……..”
“Its time Emma, Time to know what your capable of” He replied smiling and I felt my heart beating fast.
