King Alexander sat up on his bed.
He had not been able to sleep this days without dreaming about a certain noisy woman. Why can’t he stop thinking about that princess of hu-gh in her blue and white ball gown.
Her hairstyle is nice. He sigh. Maybe he could stop thinking about her if he got busy with something.
He stood up and walked to his desk and began writing scrolls.

Queen Aimee was surprised when her son told her.
“A princess of hu-gh?”, she asked.
” Yes. What I’m I to do? I want to marry her?”, he asked.
“You will write a letter to her father. State your intentions in the letter.
Tell him to get her ready for courting week if he accepted your proposal. Make sure to let him know that you want to get married to her soon”, Queen Aimee said.
” Mother, I did not say I want to get married in time. I mean, I’m not in a rush”, King Alexander said.
“What are you talking about? It’s only right that you get married in time, your majesty”, The woman said.
” Alright. I will include everything in the letter”, He said.
The queen smiled.
“I have to get going. I nee-d to buy new silks for my daughter in law. I nee-d to buy hairpins too. Oh, I’m so happy”, the woman really look excited.
King Alexander sigh.
That princess is pretty. She should be capable right?”, he asked himself.

Princess Cheryl was humming a song to herself while sewing.
Kayla is sewing too.
” My princess, how about you learn archery now?”, Kayla asked.
“I don’t want to”, Princess Cheryl replied.
“It is only right for you to learn it! Princess Shirley is so good at it”, Kayla pointed out.
” Isn’t that only right? She will be Queen anyways”, Cheryl replied nonchalant.
Kayla sigh.
“What if you married a crown prince”, She asked her master.
” They are scarce”, princess Cheryl replied and continue what she is doing.
Kayla kept quiet.
Her princess mind is set. She don’t want to do things she claims only heirs should do.
If you want her to do something don’t ever say it like this.
“Royalties should do this especially heirs”
Or Princess Cheryl will reply
“Since It’s especially for heirs, then I won’t have anything to do with it”
Kayla smiled.
She knew Princess Cheryl well.
Princess Pamela walks in.
“Princess Cheryl, father demands to see you”
Princess Cheryl stood up reluctantly. She is really not ready to listen to her father usual nagging. He is always scolding her.
Had he ever praised her.
And he praised Shirley all the time. She is jealous even though she don’t want all that belongs to Shirley but she just can’t help but be jealous.
She walked majestically to her father’s chamber.
She Curtsied in greeting to him.
“Father, I wish you long life and prosperity”, She said.
” Thank you my Darling daughter”, Prince Lance said.
Cheryl blinked several times.
What’s happening? Why is this man talking to her so sweetly.Is it because Shirley is married and she is the next in line? It shouldn’t be. She doesn’t want to do what Shirley does. She is a free bird. Shirley can be a caged bird if she likes.
Then her mother, mistress Karen came in.
“You received a letter?”, she asked after greeting the king.
” Yeah. It is an unexpected letter”, the king said smiling.
“Cheryl here is finally making me proud”, he said.
She sm-irks.
‘He’s talking as if I’ve always let him down’.
How much she hates partial parents. She just rolled her eyes.
What did she do this time around that made him proud? He should just go straight to the point!
” I’ve received a marriage proposal”, The king said.
Cheryl frowned.
So soon.
Looking at the king’s reaction, she knew he is very satisfied with the suitor. Who could It be?
“Just four weeks ago, during Shirley’s wedding. We talked about him”, The king continued. Every king around wished to marry their princess to him but now I’m the only one lucky.
I men, who wouldn’t want to marry their daughter to him? Cheryl dear, King Alexander of Shelagh sent a proposal to me asking for your hand in marriage!”, The king said.
Princess Cheryl could not believe her ears.
Princess karen was surprised too.
Remembering what she said to him that night, Cheryl was embarras-sed.
‘” why?”‘
‘”Because it su-cks”‘
‘”Huh?”‘
“‘Being Queen su-cks….”‘
Why him? So he had his eyes on her. She will be so embarras-sed if they met. Didn’t she tell him clearly that being queen su-cks? Could it be that he is deaf?
Cheryl knew she would never be able to make any decision. Her father had decided already.

King Alexander drop the letter he received from hu-gh.
King Lance had accepted his proposal and the courting week is in two weeks time.
Soon Shelagh will have a queen.
He remembered Cheryl and sigh.
” Is that woman worthy to be queen of Shelagh?”

~ALONE~
Queen? That’s what she hated most. Can’t you get her? She does not want to do anything that shirley’s doing. Shirley is to be queen so why should she be one too?
But why does it feels like it’s not that bad?
“Why?”, she asked herself.
She sat on her bed and a smile form on her li-ps.
” I think this is not that bad.”, who knows who will send a proposal again of she reject this proposal. At least the king seems cool. He is handsome too.
Did he smile that day? She did not remember but she will just as-sume he smiled.
Cheryl smiled.

Her father had sent invitations to several kings.
He smiled.
“Out of the 32 kings in the east here. I’m very sure 25 of them will attend your wedding ceremony.
You’re getting married to a king. You are going to be queen of shelagh. You know most kings would have gotten married when they are prince but King Alexander is different. He is a king already and the wedding will be grand”
Princess Cheryl scoffed. Her father had been so happy recently.
“You know”, he continued.
” Shelagh is among the three best kingdom here in the east and my daughter becoming Queen of Shelagh will definitely boost my position. Cheryl when you become queen even your mother, what Am I saying. Even myself. We will have to respect you in the future”, he told her.
She blink her eyes.
Really? Is Shelagh that great?
“I will really miss you, your highness”,princess Pamela said trying to su-ck up to her.
” It’s really good to be beautiful “, she added.
Cheryl just ignore her.
” Listen Cheryl”, her father started again.
“You must be good during your courting week. Courting week will determine if you will be Queen or you will be used and dump and sent back to your father’s house. Courting week is for the spouse to see if the princess he proposed to is good enough. Don’t embarras-s me. If you do, I will make you and your mother suffer for it”
Mistress Karen open her mouth to object but she didn’t.
Princess Cheryl expression is just the same.
Mistress Karen is for shirley so Cheryl is not close to her mother while Princess Shirley is very close to their mother.
Her mother does not seems to like her too. She ha-rdly talk to her and whenever she speaks to her is either to scold her for shirley or scold her for embarras-sing her or the royal family.
“Princess, Let’s talk privately in my chamber”, Mistress Karen said.
” Yes, your highness”, Cheryl replied.
A mistress is not suppose to be called highness but Mistress Karen is a princess before she became a mistress so she was respected in the palace.

She sat on the stool in her mother’s chamber. Even the way she sits spells royalty. In any condition a princess meet herself, she must always look and behave like a royalty. Anybody that sees her should be able to depict that she is royal.
“Darling Cheryl..”, Mistress Karen began.
” Your highness. Please don’t call me that”, Cheryl told her mother.
That name is for Shirley. The mistress used to call Shirley darling so Cheryl don’t want to be called that.
“Sweet Cheryl”, Mistress Karen said again.
Why does it feels so awkward seeing her mother acting like this?
” You heard what your father said. You have to behave your self. Represent our kingdom well and try yo put in some words for your father in the presence of the king.
You’re a filial daughter right? You should at least pay is back fir giving you life”, the woman said.
Watching her biological mother that she looked like, she shook her head. This woman had never spoken so gently to her. But what can she do? This partial woman is still her mother.

Queen Aimee walked into the chamber after being announced.
“Your majesty”, She said.
King Alexander bowed.
The queen sat down.
” Send some warriors to hu-gh to get the queen to be”, She told him
The king nodded.
“Okay mother. Please make sure to prepare a comfortable chamber for her”
The Queen smiled.
“What do you take me for? I’ve done that already”
“I also sent a letter to your sister”, the queen said.
” I already saw him during King Lance daughter’s wedding. I mean king Adams of mayors, my sister father in law. I asked if my sister is doing well.”
The Queen sigh.
“I hope she is fine. I’m going to treat your wife so that people of mayors will treat my daughter well too. I miss Amelia”, the older woman whined.
King Alexander didn’t say anything.
He missed his sister too but he is a king. Actions speak louder than words. He don’t nee-d to start crying and saying.” I miss her too” to show how much he missed her. Only women do that, not a dignified king.
“You should send an invitation to her husband and attach a letter to it. Tell him you want your sister to come to your wedding”, the queen said.
“Okay. I will do that”
The queen stood up.
“I will leave you to do your thing”, she said.
‘She is leaving’
He’s so lonely. He is not tired if her company yet. He still wants her to stay. No one had ever insisted to stay with him.
They always leave him to do his thing__Alone.
