Domestic violence Episode 21 & 22

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
EPISODE 21

Femi drove to Soul Lounge with Licia, he was confused and he nee-ded to drink alcohol to clear his head. It was not just about his issues with his wife, he was also worried about Nana and the shady deals she was dragging him into. She called earlier to inform him of a deal worth millions of naira involving the son of a former governor in one of the oil producing states. It was a high profile risk case but Nana was leaving him with no option than to comply.
After several bottles of alcohol, he drove to a nearby h0tel with Licia, the last place he wanted to go was home and the last person he nee-ded to see was his wife. Immediately his head hit the h0tel pillow, he fell asleep leaving Licia irritated and hanging with his loud snoring triggered by the excessive alcohol in his system.

Shana was still resting in be-d that morning when a knock on the door woke her up. She walked sluggishly to the door and opened it, her parents were standing at the door.
Shana: “Mum! She shouted and hvgged her mother ti-ght”.
Mrs Banjo: “My baby! Look at what that man has done to you”.
They began to cry, Shana letting out loud sobs of all the pain she had bottled up in her over the years for the sake of protecting her marriage.
Mr Banjo: “Let us go inside, women. We didn’t come here to weep”.
He led the way into the sitting room and his wife and daughter followed him still holding on to themselves. When they were seated, Mr Banjo cleared his throat and began to speak.
Mr banjo: “How and when exactly did this thing start? I want every detail, do not hide anything away from your parents”.
Shana: “It started about two years ago when…”
Shana took her time amidst tears to explain everything to her parents. It was a painful narration that saw her father’s brow creasing and her mother shedding tears. Shana did not keep anything away from her parents, she narrated at all to them including the p@rt where Femi f0rç£d her to have S-x with him against her wish. At this, her mother flared up.
Mrs Banjo: “What are you telling me? That it got to the extent that your own husband r@p£s you? Femi has the guts to turn my only daughter into a punching bag? What wrong did we do by accepting him as a son in law?”
Mrs Banjo: “So, Femi did all these to you and you never bothered to talk to us your parents about it? What were you waiting for? The day he would bring your corpse to us?”
Shana: “I thought things would improve, I thought of all the advise you and mum gave me when I was getting married and I decided not to allow third p@rty into our marriage like you advised”.
Mrs Banjo: “That is a very cheap excuse. There is no civil or religious law that admonishes women not to speak up in the face of domestic violence, many women have lost their lives as a result of that leaving their children at the mercy of their wicked husbands. I have been married to your father for more than 30 years and he has never raised a f!nger on me no matter the provocation. Now, that is what we call marriage”.
Shana: “I felt for Femi, I thought that if I give him a child, he would change for good. I thought he changed because of my inability to get pregnant years after marriage”.
Mr Banjo: “Nons-en-se, arrant nons-en-se! Is he the only man whose wife is finding it difficult to have a child? My elder brother celebr@ted 25 years of marital bliss last week and yet his wife have never conceived not even once. The children they have were adopted and they are grateful to God to even be among the living though barren. Are you saying that Femi has not seen situations where some children s£nd their parents to early grave? In that case, is it not better you remain childless?”
Mrs Shana: “That Femi is just a deceptive wicked soul. If pregnancy is the issue, why is he still maltreating you now that you are pregnant?”
Shana: “I don’t know again. I am tired of everything”.
Mr Banjo: “And where is the Femi, is he not supposed to be at home by this time? Today is Saturday, work free day”.
Shana: “He went out with the maid who turned out to be his mistress since yesterday and they have not returned yet”.
Mrs Banjo: “Can you imagine the insult? Which man leaves his wife alone all night? Anyway, go in there and pack your things, you are leaving”.
Shana: “But…”’
Mr Banjo: “No buts, we are leaving. I alre-ady told his parents everything and they are in support of you leaving his house before he kills you so that the maid can take over your position”.
Her mother helped her pack her ess£ntial wears and b©dy effects into two boxes and Shana moved over to the kitchen to prepare breakfast since the they had about two hours before the next flight.
====
Femi woke up late that morning with a start, he remembered the events of the previous night and his heart fell when he realized that Shana may have reported him to her parents. He got up and was hurriedly putting on his shi-t when Licia turned.
Licia: “Why are you up this early? Today is Saturday now”.
Femi: “Early? You call this time of the morning early? You must still be having hangover. It’s almost 10am, madam”.
Licia: “And so? Is 10am not early, after all you are not going to work today. Yesterday night, you left me in the mood and sle-pt off, I was hoping we could make love all day today. You know how we do it, now”, she rolled her ton-gue over her upper l!pand win-ked at him.
Femi: “Oh plea-se just st©p. You never get tired of S-x, do you? Anyway, I am going home, you can remain here if you wish”.
She got up, wore her dress and they drove home in silence with Femi’s heart beating furiously.
Shana and her parents were about stepping into the car that will take them to the airport when Femi and Licia drove in. Femi was shocked to see his in laws dragging his wife’ box, he got out of the car and ran out to greet them by prostrating flat on the floor.
Daddy and mummy, eka’abo ma”, he fumbled.
Mrs Banjo: “Gbe enu re son jor! Eka’abo oshi wo ni ye?” (Shut up your mouth, jare. What kind of stupid welcome is that?)
Mr Banjo: “Femi, I took you as my own son and gave you all the support you nee-ded when you married my daughter. I used my connection to give you customers that invested billions of naira into your bank, that helped your ra-pid rise to the post of a bank manager. The best way to repay me was to subject my daughter to untold pain and psychological trauma, thank you”.
Femi: “Daddy!”
Mrs Banjo: “Ehn-eh, just hold it there. Femi, you have the heart to beat a girl that me who carried in the wo-mb for nine months and went throu-gh ha-rd labour to bring her to world have never raised a f!nger against. Iwo, Femi!”
“Baby, what is going on here?” Licia c@m£ out of the car asking. Femi felt like the ground would open and swallow him, that moment he cursed the day he met Licia”.
Shana: “Mum, dad, that is his mistress that he brou-ght into our home un-der the guise of a maid. Femi, I am leaving your house and your life for good. And I promise you that as I am leaving, every good thing in your life will leave as well. For ma-king a mockery of my love with Licia, I curse you. Women will be the cause of your downfall. I will s£nd a truck over to pack the rest of my things in the house, while my lawyer will get in t©uçh with you. As for the child in my wo-mb, I promise that you will never come close to it in your entire life”.
Mr Banjo: “That is it, we have seen enough. Femi, you shall hear from our family lawyer”, he led his wife and daughter into the car and the driver drove away.
Licia c@m£ close to him to comfort him. “Finally, she has gone by herself. We now have all the space in the house to make love, no more hide and seek quic-kie session. Come lets go and shower together”
Femi: “Get your hands off me! Why didn’t you just remain in the car? Why did you have to come out and complicate things for me? Do you know what this is going to cause my family”.
Licia: “Femi leave my hand, you are hurting me”.
Femi: “I will not leave your hand and there is nothing you can do about me. In fact, you are leaving my house, I have had enough of you and your stupid obse-ssion with S-x. Come and pack your things and get out”, he held her by the room and dragged her to the guestroom where her things were.
Question: “Should Shana forgive him now that he is s£nding Licia away? Will the curse she placed on him be nullified if she forgives him?
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
EPISODE 22
Licia ran up to Femi in the room and hvgged him from behind, brushing his che-st with her n!ppl!s, it was an act that softened him, no matter how angry he was. “I am sorry, love. I didn’t know that you didn’t want me to step out of the car, if you had told me, I would have remained seated in the car. I actually thought you wanted your wife out of your life for good”.
Femi: “I didn’t want her to leave like that with it looking very obvious that the fault was from me. I wanted her to do something that I can capitalize on to s£nd her away”.
Licia: “Okay, I am sorry now”.
Femi: “Its okay. Prepare Afang soup with enough orishi-rishi for me, that’s what I feel like eating today”.
Licia: “Okay, your majesty”.
====
Three months later, Shana had finally relocated to her parents house where she and the pregnancy was being pampered by her parents. Femi’s family had called him to return home for a family meeting and possible reconciliation between him and his wife but he had refused and had ignored all the calls and messages they s£nd to him. His parents decided to visit Shana and her family to apologize for all that their son had done to his wife. The maid led them into the room and gave them a seat. After some minutes, Mr Banjo and his daughter c@m£ downstairs.
Mr Banjo: “You are welcome to my home, my in law”.
Mr Johnson: “I am very sorry for all that my son did to your daughter. I was never aware of anything that was going on between them”.
Mr Banjo: “Of course I know that you were not aware and that is because my daughter never spoke to anyone about it, she kept quiet while Femi was bent on s£nding her to an early grave”.
Mr Johnson: “Children of nowadays. I don’t know what c@m£ over him, we never brou-ght him up to be violent. I have never beaten my wife before, in fact, after his mother died, I refused to remarry because I loved and cherished her too much. It was pressure from my family, coupled with the fact that I nee-ded a woman who will live with me to take care of him that made me marry his stepmother. And she has been like a mother to him. Why has Femi decided to make a caricature of my name like this? My own son a wife beater, hian”.
Mrs Banjo: “It is okay, my in law. Only God knows where children of these days get their characters from. To say that Femi shocked me is an un-derstatement, he looked so innocent when he was d@t!ngmy daughter that one would never have believed that he could hurt a fly”.
Mrs Johnson: “I am sorry, iya Shana. I am so ashamed I don’t even know what to say”. Femi’s step mother who was overcome to shame managed to say.
Mrs Banjo: “It is well, my sister”.
Mr Johnson: “Let me call him one more time. Since incidence of his misbehavior broke out, I have been trying to call him all to no avail”.
Mr Johnson picked his phone and dialed Femi’s number. The phone rang for a long time without Femi picking up. When his father was about to hang up, he picked the call.
Femi: “Hi, dad”.
Mr Johnsn: “I am your father, Femi. You greet me with respect, that is how we brou-ght you up. Anyway, I am calling concerning your wife. Your mother and I are in her house and…”
Femi: “Oh plea-se, dad. Not again, don’t tell me you are calling me this afternoon because of Shana. Listen, I have moved on without her and I advise that she does so too”.
Mr Johnson: “Are you out of your mind or something? Since when did you become so irresponsible? Do you know that Shana is carrying your child?”
Femi: “I don’t give a damn, dad. She can go ahead and do whatever she wants with the child, that is if she doesn’t have a miscarriage before giving birth to the child”. He hung up the phone.
Mrs Banjo: “What further proof do we nee-d? Femi has no respect for anyone, including you his father. I can never allow my daughter to go back and live with that monster even if he comes begging. Her lawyers will serve him the divorce papers”.
Mr Johnson: “I am sorry, I am terribly sorry. I thought the marriage between our children will cement our friendsh!p, I didn’t know that it would turn out sour. I hope this doesn’t affect our friendsh!p?”
Mr Banjo: “You can be sure that this will not in any way affect our friendsh!p. I have seen your efforts towards ensuring that this marriage works, your son is at fault here and not you. Why should this even affect our friendsh!p? We were friends before we had the children and we will continue to be friends”.
Mr Johnson: “I promise to take care of all her financial responsibilities including those of my grand child in her wo-mb, Shana is like a daughter to me and I will do my duty as a father to her no matter what”.
Mr Johnson and his wife thanked them and left with their heads bowed low.
Shana got in t©uçh with her family lawyer and divorce papers were s£nt to Femi who was reluctant to sign but after being br@inwashed by Licia, he signed the papers, severing for ever his marriage to Shana. A month later, Shana gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl and her parents supported her with all that she and her babies nee-ded. Her brothers too were very supportive and when the kids were one year old, they got visa for her and her children to relocate to London where her elder brother lives with his family.

*Ten years on*
Ten years after Femi began to cohabit with Licia as husband and wife, she was yet to conceive and that was straining their relationsh!p. Licia had often times accused him of being impotent and to stay away from her constant nagging, he was spending most of his nights after work with Nana who was the woman in control of his b©dy. Most times, his heart went out to Shana but for fear of Licia, he stayed away from contacting her. he had also cut off all ties from his family and after Shana left, she blocked him on all her social media platforms, he had no irking about what was happening to her or what had happened to the pregnancy.
That night, he went over to Nana’s house after office hours, he wanted to spend the night buried in her th!ghs doing what they know how to do best. Nana was in a see throu-gh chiffon lingerie when he knocked and entered her well furnished ap@rtment.
Femi: “Wow, you look h0t, I can’t wait to mount you. I am going to teach you the lesson of your life in be-d today”.
Nana: “See who is talking? Na only mouth wey you get, if the real action start now, five minutes too much, you don re-lease”.
Femi: “Oh really? Let me show you how bad I can get then”, he drew her near and began to k!ssher succulentl-ips, in no time, his hands found his way un-der her nightie and he brou-ght out her n!ppl!s and began to svçkvigoriously. She was portable, which was one of the features that endeared him to her, he carried her straight into the be-droom and layed her on the be-d, re-moved her lingerie and p@rted her legs. He liked the view he saw and that urged him on. He got low and buried his head in her honey pot, l!çk!ng and eating. He inser-ted his ton-gue inside her and that s£nd s-en-sational feelings all over her. She pushed his head in and he continued to roll his ton-gue inside her, devouring her woman-hood. “St©p!” she suddenly shouted. Femi ignored her and continued, this time around, he p@rted her honey pot with two of his f!ngersso that his ton-gue could have unlimited access. “I said st©p!” she pushed his head away and closed her legs.
Femi: “What is it? Why did you interrupt me? I am alre-ady in the mood you know”.
Nana: “Before you can have me, I want you to sign a check of 20 milion naira for me”.
Femi: “What! That is ridiculous. 20 million naira is a lot of money you know, in fact that is all I have in my account”.
Nana: “Of course I know that is all you have and I know all the shady deals I brou-ght that made you acquire that much. That is why you opened accounts in other banks so as to avoid any suspicion. I want 20million naira or I will b!ow off your secrets and the EFCC will hang your n£¢k for all the corrupt deals you have been using your position as a bank manager to do”.
Femi: “Nana!”
Nana: “Don’t Nana me. So, I am the one who is good to be fv¢ked in her house right? You kept your mistress in your home after s£nding your wife away and you left me here and you think you have the right to walk in and out of me anytime you have the urge? No way!”
Femi: “But this can also put you in trouble”.
Nana: “I don’t care, I am a woman. I will sleep my way out of Police net. I will count till ten, if you don’t make the transfer to my account, consider yourself EFCC’s guest. 1,2,3,4,5…”
Femi was confused, 20 million was all he had saved all these years, this was because he was spending extravagantly even beyond his income to maintain Licia and her high taste for expensive shopping and vacation. Nana was counting and he knew that he had to do something fast.
______________
Back home, Licia knew that Femi was with his mistress and she was waiting for him to return, she was tired of the union and she had a shocker waiting for him.
