Chapter Seventy :

Covering my mouth I move backwards, what’s happening, since I knew I was a descendant I have tried my best not to eat human body because once eaten that’s all you could think of, Ares rise to his feet walking towards my direction, he is going to kill me
Humans are starting to gather round the shop, trying to get in and see what’s happening. I have to get us out of here and quick. I stop moving back and the moment he grab my ne-ck I recite a spell that made us disappear and appear de-eper into the forest, why did I think of a forest??
Landing he let go of my ne-ck, am away from dead bodies but am still salivating, why?? My gaze move back to Ares, his eyes normal, he look at me then throw the lap of a human to body ” oh my god ” pishing it off me, I crawl backwards ” Ares??”
He move to my direction and bend down ” eat Zoe ” he look sad ” if you keep starving yourself, you will die. That’s why you haven’t even used your real power yet, this isn’t time to be weak ”
” but….” He shook his head shutting me up ” I know, I killed the whole people in the shop and couldn’t drink their blood because am addicted to yours” what is he saying, Ares will never want me to eat anybody
His face grow to smiles when I grab the body, my fangs are elongating, am really gonna do this, am going to eat a human being ” little mouse ” my gaze travel back to a struggling Ares, holding his head and hitting the body out of my hands
What’s wrong with him, he hold his head rolling on the floor and groa-ning de-eperly ” Ares” I tried touching him which result in me getting kicked away, my head hitting one of the trees in a ha-rd way
” fu-ck” I muttered as blood flow from my head, I was getting dizzy by the second but I have to help Ares, I have to save him from what’s happening. Holding the tree I rise to my feet slowly, the whole place turning around
” stay away from me ” Ares gro-an de-eperly ” or I will eat you ” what’s he talking about, vampires dont eat human, they only su-ck blood, what’s wrong with him. I blink my eyes trying to see clearly
Ares is standing before me, fingers long, fangs out and eyes red, this isn’t Ares. What’s happening to him ” Ares??” Before I could take another step Ares fall to the ground, someone stand behind him holding a huge wood but I couldn’t make meaning out of all these or who is standing there
If felt like I lot all my stamina as I fall down, the stranger caught me in his arms, my eyes closed on its own

” I think this boy brings bad Luck to my life sweetheart ”
” why didn’t you let him eat her ”
” you could tell that he isn’t in his senses, am a demon sweetheart but I do know vampires aren’t suppose to eat human flesh ”
” oh please, is this some excuse you fetch up in order not to cook dinner ”
” why do I have to cook human food when I can’t eat one ”
All this murmurs made me fully awake, I stare at me surrounding, a man sitting with brown hair and red eyes, the woman standing, hands around her hip, black long hair and green eyes
Who are these people and where am i, sitting up I hold my head and gro-an inwardly then everything came back to me, Ares, he isn’t well ” where is he ” I search their face for answers ” Ares, where is he, he needs my help, I need to find him ” standing up the woman hold me and shake her head
” you can’t meet him now honey, he isn’t in his right state of mind ” she tried holding me down but I was beginning to lose my patience, smacking her hands away from me, the man with the red eyes quickly caught her before she fall
He shoot cold glare my way, it was more intense than Ares, I step back scared but I need to see Ares ” I need to see him, please ” I beg tears building in my eyes
” you can’t see him now, he is turning to an abomination and if he is able to fight it then he will be back to normal”
” where is he “Standing up they show me the room he is locked in, his hands and leg chained ” flesh!!!” He keep groa-ning, asking for human body, I cover my mouth, did he eat one of the human bodies without my notice, why are we always getting in trouble, why can’t we be at peace
Turning around I stare at the strange man ” what do you mean by abomination ” he furrow his brows at me like I have gone mad
” you’re a descendant and you have the guts to ask just an ridiculous question ” shaking his head he turn around ” you yourself is an abomination ” he muttered moving away from me, I couldn’t un-derstand what’s happening
I stare at the whole place, standing outside the room Ares is been held captive my gaze move to my left, a young girl caught my attention, standing behind the room with a guy with red hair and golden eyes, her hands placed on his che-st, pushing him away from the house
Am not in a good mood to spy at other people business so I sit outside the door and hug my knee to my body, Ares have to fight this, fight this for us. He shouldn’t give in to this thirst
” are you okay ” a male voice brou-ght me back to reality, I stare at him, his hair is red while he has green eyes ” are you related to that man ” nodding my head he bend down then rob my head gently ” he will be alright, he just need to focus in surviving okay ” he tried standing but I hold his hands
” what’s an abomination ” I asked, he looked confused as to why I dont know what that mean ” descendants are abomination to vampires ” he muttered ” descendant were once vampires blue ” I furrow my brows and he quickly said ” you have blue eyes ” so that’s why he called me blue ” I have to go mum, just came to see you ” he yell getting up and out of the house

Zoe
Hugging my knee to myself I close my eyes and think everything throu-gh, descendants being vampires before? How is that possible when the descendants only sleep with the god of the moon to reproduce
All these are so confusing, I dont get it, will Ares be okay?? When will all these challenges be over, will we really get our happy ending like Ares said, are we going to die like my mother said
Lots of questions keep flowing into my head and I dont know what to do, should Ares and I run away from all these. Tears are building in my eyes again, why is our love story so hard, why are we always suffering, why can’t I get what I want
Why can’t we be happy, what wrong did I do. I always do the right thing, I have never wrong anyone then why is all these happening to me, why am I feeling sad most of the times
Sniffing, Ares seem to still be in pain, I wish I can swift parts with him, I wish all these is happening to me instead, Ares has gone throu-gha lot during his life, he has suffered enough
Am I the cause he is always in trouble, he wouldn’t have gone to that ice cream shop if I wasn’t craving for ice cream ” are you okay” lifting my head I stare at the woman, her green eyes seem to be giving me peace of mind
” No” I feel myself breaking down ” I dont un-derstand what’s happening, why can’t I live a normal and happy life, from one trouble to another ” tears are flowing now ” we have been throu-gha lot, even death, isn’t that enough ” I muttered ” haven’t we suffered enough?? Why can’t I be happy with the man I love, a war is also coming, a war that we might both die, are the gods not tired of seeing us suffer, is this a game to them???”
I watch her clean my tears and pull me into a ti-ght embrace ” I do believe everyone have their time ” she muttered ” I know how you well, I have also pa-ss throu-ghdeath with Kent but love conquer everything, he will be alright ” sniffing I cried more, I just want to get all these pain out of my system ” everything will be alright “she pat my back slowly
Will everything really be alright??
Ares isn’t making any sound anymore, standing up I open the door and run into the room, swears all over his body ” Ares??” He open his eyes slowly, back to silver, I let a breath out completely relieved
The man with the red eyes quickly match into the room and punch Ares stomach hardly, I gasp, it was so fast that I couldn’t detect his movement, how long have he lived
Ares mouth open wide as he vomit undigested human flesh, my hands cover my mouth, Ares kept vomiting and when is finally over he coughed, breathing normal now ” thank you ” his gaze move to the man whose face is expressionless, hands behind his back and am left wondering how that sweet lady like this cold man
” little mouse ” Ares gaze move to mine, worry in his eyes ” did I hurt you, are you okay, can you move pro…..” Before he complete his sentence I place my finger on his li-ps shutting him up
” am fine Ares, you need to go to the bathroom, wash your mouth and take a rest ” helping him up we move to the bathroom, I watch him wash his mouth then gasp, he look tired ” thank you ” I muttered, he stare at me confused ” thank you for fighting Ares, I dont know what I would do if I lose you…thank you ” wrapping my hands around his wa-ist I bury my face in his che-st and cried ” thank you ”
He said nothing just exhale and inhale, something warm touch my shoulder, I look up at him, his hands covering his face as tears drop ” fu-ck” he mutter ” water keep pouring off my eyes “he clean his face and stare at me before cu-pping my face ” I told you didn’t I, we will defiantly have our happy ending, stop crying, everything happens for a reason ” he smile, he is always smiling even when we are in trouble ” I have hope Zoe, this happen so that we can find out why descendant were vampires ”
” you heard ” he nod his head then clean my face probably ” I heard everything so now stop crying and smile for me okay ” I nod my head and I smile, his hands move to my li-ps and rob them ” they are dry ” before I could use my tongue to moist it he kis-sed me, a slow and sweat kis-s, I dont care what’s gonna happen in the Future but am certain that right now I will savour this moment
” I love you ” I muttered the moment we break from the kis-s, his li-ps curve into smile as he kis-s my forehead ” I love you too Darling ” holding my hand we walk out of the bathroom, back into the room
He lay down and within minutes he is asleep, he must have been tired, touching his cheek I smile, he is so handsome ” my Ares” tucking some of his blond hair behind his ear I smile knowing fully well that everything has an end and our end will be happy
Drawing my face close to his, I kis-s his li-ps before someone frightened the living life out of me ” what are you doing” I step back, face completely red, I watch her step close ” do you know silver” she ask and I couldn’t help but frown
” dont call him silver” am the only one that should call him that name ” his name is Ares and yes I do know him” I muttered and her mouth move to a o shape
” am sorry ” she smile ” I thought he came alone, am pearl ” her red eyes shine bright but before I could respond I suddenly feel nauseous, my stomach feels upset and the next thing am doing is opening the window and throwing up, had no time to run to the bathroom and by the time am done I noticed my vomit on someone’s head
Stepping back I stare at pearl ” I think I throw up on your boyfriend, the one with the red hair ” she cover her mouth before laughing ha-rd ” oh my!! Gian will be so pissed” she kept laughing, the feeling of throwing up came again, I run to the bathroom and throw everything out of my mouth, I feel so sick suddenly
