After clas-s, I decided to take out time to study in an empty clas-s after school hours, I believe the majority of the students must have gone home.
I took out my book to solve some of the difficult problems.
” Will go to work from here, today am on duty at the place where I work, I will just change my outfit there”, I said.
Immediately I was done with what I was doing in the clas-sroom, I decided to take my leave.
I sighted a boy and a girl k!ssing, “What’s wrong with them, can’t they get a place”.
I c@m£ out of the school building and took a walk down the lonely lane to get a taxi then I heard a female screamed, ” Let me go”.
“What could be happening to that lady”, I walked to the very sp©t where the act was about happening, it’s Nora, she got hit and landed on the ground, they were about taking off her clothes when I walked to then and said, ” “Let her go now”.
They seem stubborn, they tried attacking me when I hit one of them took his weapon to fight others.
I got to learn how to fight by my father, I made sure I gave them a beating of their life as they ran off while they still can.
I went to where Nora was, she has pas-sed out alre-ady, ” Nora can you hear me”, but I got no response.
I decided to take her to the school clinics for them to do the necessary things for her while I waited.
I had to call one of my friends at work to cover up for me that I will be late and am happy he agreed to it.
“Why is she not waking up anyway? who are those guys, they don’t bear the green snake markings things on them, who are they?” The question kept ringing in my head.

Finally, she is awake, ” Thought you will be slee-ping for 48 hours,” I said
“Well thank you, am feeling better now if that’s what you wished to ask j£rk”.
” Really, miss noisy, I just saved your life out there and all I expected was a thank you from you, you are something easy, whatever business you have with those guys do settle it because I won’t be there to help you next time “.

I quic-kly changed my outfits at work and took over my place as I started serving food. the customers according to what they requested in the menu.
It was stressful today, never knew we have lots of customers today.
After everything, we were closed for the day, I decided to wash my face before leaving, my boss called me and said, “You such a ha-rd working boy, you deserve this bonus am giving to you now”, he handed me an envelope of money.
” Thank you so much sir”, I said.
“Do have a good night’s rest”, he said.
I left the place and decided to take a work home tonight just to clear the thoughts that kept coming to my head every time.
Immediately I got to the house, I went straight to my mother’s room to give her some snacks I got for her then I saw her on the floor lifeless.
I had to rush her down to the closest hospital nearby, have never be scared like this all my life.

Am happy he helped me but I know I don’t know those guys from anywhere at all.
I called my father to let him know what happened to me.
” Hello, father?” I said.
“My princess how are you and how was school today, I notice you weren’t back from school when I got home where are you now? did you go out with friends”. Dad said.
Can’t father ask a question one at a time,” Father my driver refuse to pick me up from school today after waiting all day in school for him, I decided to take a taxi home by walking down the lonely lane at school, students were not in sight, then I got attack by some tough guys who nearly R@p£d me, thank God, someone intervened to help me”, I narrated everything to him?

“Am leaving work to get you now, I alre-ady lost your brother, I can not lose you as well, as for the driver he has some explaining to do when he gets home”.

Father c@m£ to pick me up from the hospital, he took me home and called his pri-vate doctor to check if everything is okay with my b©dy,” My father is overprotective me, am the last child he has, I lost my elder sister, then my twin brother, ma-king me the last survivor of my family,”.

He called the driver to the sitting room, I sat looking at the driver angrily.

” My car was st©pped by some tough people on my way to pick her from school, they threaten me to call her and say, I won’t be able to come to pick, let her use the taxi, then I don’t know what they did to me, I sle-pt off. I woke up only to see your calls”.

I sat at the hospital waiting for either a nurse or a doctor or anyone to tell me what exactly happened to my mother, “Why was she unconscious? It’s better not be the green snake, if not they will surely get it from me!!”
I didn’t know I sle-pt off till I was woken up by one of the nurses and the first question I asked her, “Hope my mother is a fine nurse”.
” Yes, for now, she got so lucky this time around, she nee-ds to st©p overworking her b©dy and st©p taking ha-rd drugs, her system is getting weak by the day, we can give you some medicines she can take to subdue it as usual but it will definitely get to a stage medicines can’t solve it, remember I told you the last time you c@m£ here, let’s do a proper treatment if care is not taken it might lead to cancer of something only heavens know”
I felt frustrated,” Am aware of that and am still trying my best to save money from my p@rt-time job, plea-se just do your best to help her,”.

Nora tried to thank me for helping her the other day but I totally snub her without exchanging words with her as usual.

I was with Xavier when he asked,” What eating you up?”

” mmm let me drop my case because my friend here loves to be secretive therefore I can’t know if his okay or not”.

What the hell is wrong with him anyway, well I will ignore him too for today and try again tomorrow.

I left school and headed straight home to get some stuff when the green snake requested me to go with them that my pres£nce is nee-ded but I refused.

I went to see mom at the hospital, she would be discharge very soon and then I saw my mom be-d empty, “Where the hell is mom?”.
I asked the doctor but she told me she has no idea, we checked everywhere only to hear a witness say she was taken in a van.
” The Green Snakes, truly my time to join them is close”.
