Erica paced around her room angry. How could Kyle insult her just like that?
He even had the guts to chase her away, Kyle has never refused her especially when he sees her na-kedbut this time around, he even M0-ned Pearl’s name when she was care-ssing his body.
“He cheated on me with that bit*ch!”
“I can never let them be together, I can’t be the one to lose.”
“I have always been there for Kyle when pearl wasn’t, I can’t them be together no matter what.”
“I have to come up with something.”, She said.

*Restaurant*
“It’s weird.”, Pearl said when she finished chewing the food in her mouth.
“What is?”
“I feel like a teenager that her crush asked that”, she replied and Kyle smiled.
“I feel the same but it is slightly different, I feel like a shy teenager who just ki-ssed by his crush.”
“How are we going to tell Ryan and Emma about us?”, She asked shyly.
“I am not sure about how they will feel, they already agreed to your relationship with Aaron.”, He said and she burst into laughter because Kyle was totally clueless.
“You think they would actually agree to Aaron and I? They were just acting along.”, She replied and Kyle gasped.
“Woah! How can they do this to me even after I told them my feelings for you? Am i a joke to them? They also wanted to make me jealous”, Kyle asked acting like he was hurt.
“I have always wanted to ask, why did you ask them not to tell anyone about your feelings for me?”
” I was just — How did you know that I asked them not to tell anyone?”
“Emma told me.”, She replied and Kyle’s eyes wide-ned.
“Emma betrayed me! I can’t believe this. She promised not to tell, how could she do to this her dad? I now believe that girls don’t keep their mouth shut once it comes to keeping secrets.”
“They just wanted us to come back together, she was begging me to love you back and she also said that you are a good daddy.”, She said and Kyle smiled proudly.
“Awwn! How sweet of her! They will surely be happy to see us together.”, He said.
“I was angry with you because you left but I was more angry with myself because I did nothing to stop you, I didn’t want to hurt my ego but I just realized how stupid I was. I have always wondered why you chose Carl over me and very angry with you. I wanted you to feel my rage, that was why I was trying my best to be very cold to you but I couldn’t deny my feelings for you.”, He said with a sudden change of expression.
“When you have a crazy friend like Jayden, there is no way he is going to agree on anything you say until you accept what he says, he was always disturbing me and forcing me to admit that I was jealous whenever I see you and Carl and he didn’t stop until I agreed. Jayden is really a great friend even though I act like I don’t nee-d him, he really is a great part of my life. He might joke when he should be serious but he has a good sense of humor. Emma and Ryan too…”
“Can you believe that they gave me three days to give them a reply on either I love you or not. They threatened me”, He said and pearl laughed out so loud.
“They can be very annoying and I think God purposely sent them to frustrate the hell out of me but they are great, sweet and I love them very much and their mom is not an expecting because she was the first woman in my life and she will surely be the last. I love you so much.”, He said as he looked at pearl who was wiping her tears.
“Hey why are you crying? Did I say something that hurt you?”
“No … You just made me emotional and I am happy that I have you and the kids. I love you too pearl.”, She said with tears of joy.
“Maybe all of these wouldn’t have happened if I had the courage to tell you what I was feeling, I just felt that I could handle it if only I stayed strong but I was only hurting myself more.”, She said and Kyle held her hand from where he was sitting, encouraging her.
“We don’t have to dwell on the past anymore, we shouldn’t fight or keep anything from each other again.”, Kyle said and she nodded.

“Hey can you stop singing? I am doing my homework, it’s not as if you have a good voice anyway.”, Ryan said but Emma continued to scream on top of her voice.
“Emma I am definitely going to tell Dad that you didn’t do your homework and that you were distracting me with your horrible voice.”, Ryan said and Emma stopped immediately.
“But I don’t know how to answer those questions.”, She said slowly.
“Just use your head for once, it isn’t even that ha-rd.”, He said glaring at her and Emma frowned.
“It really isn’t easy for me, I have tried but I am still not getting it.”, She replied.
“Bring it, let me teach you.”, He said and Emma brou-ght her notebook and pearl and Kyle entered their room.
Ryan and Emma looked at each other surprised.
“Did their parents just come in together?”
“You look very surprised right? Well i have a good news for everyone.”, Kyle said and Emma clapped her hands happily.
Pearl smiled at her action, Kyle was right after all.
“Dad please tell us.”, They pleaded.
“I am agreeing with your mom’s relationship with Aaron, I think I misun-derstood him, he is a good guy.”, Kyle said and they looked at each other dumbfounded.
They looked at their mom but she was just smiling.
“You are not angry anymore?”, Emma asked.
“And jealous?”, Ryan added and Kyle nodded.
“You don’t love Mom anymore?”, They asked disappointed.
“That shouldn’t matter anymore, you guys already gave her the permission right?”, Kyle said as he continued to tease them.
“But it wasn’t sincere, mom asked us to act along.”, Emma said stomping her legs on the floor.
“I can’t believe that you agreed to fool your dad, am I joke to you?”, He asked pretending to be hurt like he was earlier.
“Sorry dad but it nee-ded to be done because you are too slow to act like a man.”, Ryan said.
“So…?”
“So we are not really sorry.”, He completed and Kyle gasped as his looked at his children in disbelief.
“I can’t believe you guys are treating me badly but I will let it go because it is because of you that I am back together with your mom.”, he said and this time it was Ryan and Emma to gasp.
“You guys are seriously together?”, Emma asked, her face filled with happiness like Ryan’s own.
“Yes.”, Pearl confirmed and they rushed to hu-g their parents.
“Thank you so much Daddy and mommy, thank you for coming together.”, Emma said as tears rolled down her cheek.
“Are you crying also?”, Kyle asked smiling.
“You are just like your mom.”, He said as he looked at pearl.
“So our family is complete?”, Ryan asked making sure that he wasn’t overthinking.
“Well it is, all thanks to you guys.”, Pearl said.
“Mr Corden, your mom is outside.”, The maid said when she entered the room, interrupting them.
Pearl looked at Kyle because she was feeling uneasy and Kyle un-derstood how she was feeling.
“She said she wants to apologise to you for everything.”, Kyle said but pearl shook her head.
“What if she just wants me to stay away from you? You know I can’t do that, it’s better that I don’t see her.”, Pearl said shaking her head.
“I am with you this time, regardless of what she says, we will still be together but please hear her out.”, Kyle pleaded.
“Kyle.”
“Please, please just this last time.”, He said and she nodded reluntanly.

Kyle and pearl sat down in the sitting room opposite pearl’s mom.
Kyle had asked the kids to remain in their room till they are done with the conversation.
“Mom i am back together with pearl.”, He said holding her hand seeing how nervous she was.
“It’s obvious.”, She replied nodding.
“Hmm pearl.”, She called and pearl looked up at her.
“I will go get us a drink.”, Kyle said standing up in order to give him privacy.
“No… There is no nee-d for that, I will go.”, Pearl said as she was so quick to stand.
“There is no nee-d for anyone to leave, I will just say what I want to say.”, Mrs Corden said.
“Pearl I know that I have offended you, I didn’t treat you right because of my greediness. I should have been a good mother-in-law to you but instead I was the reason your marriage failed.”, She said.
“I was being unfair to you because you did nothing but to love my son with all your heart and what did I do? I maltreated you and called you different kinds of names.”, She continued and pearl tried her best to hold her tears.
“I shouldn’t have used my own personal problem to affect my son’s marriage and I am really sorry pearl. I just did what I thought was right, I am so sorry pearl. Please forgive me.”, Mrs Corden said in tears and pearl was just speechless.
She didn’t know what to do in that situation.
“I un-derstand. You just wanted the best for your son and I couldn’t be the best.”, Pearl said looking down with a sad expression.
“No… That is not true! When you left Kyle’s life wasn’t as happy as before, I just chose not to acknowledge it because I wasn’t ready to accept that I made a mistake and that was why I brou-ght Erica, so that he can completely forget you.”, She said.
“I should have been there to you as a mother and mother-in-law but I wasn’t, I really regret it now pearl and I am ready to make it up to you please.”, She said placing her palm together.
The word mother that she said moved pearl to tears.
“It’s okay, it wasn’t completely your fault. We all had hands in this failed marriage but it doesn’t matter anymore since Kyle and I are together and we will work on our relationship.”, She said as Kyle smiled at her, encouraging her.
“Come here!”, She gestured at pearl as she opened her arms for a hu-g.
“Go on.”, Kyle said releasing her hand.
She looked at Kyle again and he nodded.
Pearl got to Mrs Corden and she pulled pearl to herself and Kyle smiled from where he was sitting.
“I’m so sorry.”, Mrs Corden said again.
“I have forgiven you, you didn’t have bad intension.”, Pearl replied.
“Come here son.”, She said and Kyle immediately joined them.
“Wow! What a sweet family reunion, how come I wasn’t informed?”, Erica said entering the house and they all disengaged immediately.
“Erica … We nee-d to ta…!”
She didn’t wait for Kyle to finish before she slapped him ha-rd.
“You prostitute! How dare you come back and ruin my relationship?”, Erica said as a slap landed on her cheek and Kyle immediately went to stand in their middle.
“Erica just calm down, I will explain everything.”, Kyle said.
“Explain everything? Our wedding is in just few months and you are back together with your ex. What happens to ours two years relationship? I can’t believe that you are on their side mom! I hate you all but I hate pearl more.”, Erica yelled.
Pearl immediately felt bad, Erica was still right though.
She had no right to come and ruin their relationship just because she just couldn’t get over him and she even allowed him to have his way with her despite being drunk.
She would be very furious than Erica if she finds out that Kyle is having an affair with his ex when the marriage is in few months.
“Erica please lets talk about this.”, He said trying to calm her down.
“I hate you pearl, ever since you came back you just ruined everything. I was the one around to mend the same heart you shattered and now that it is repaired, you want it back. No way!”, She said as she broke down in tears.
“Erica I am sorry …!”
“Shut up! I know that I despise those silly kids of yours but no matter how ha-rd I try to win them over, they only see you as their mother. Just when I was close to being their mom, you came to ruin everything.”, She said.
“This is not about marriage Erica, you can’t fill the space of a mother if they are not yours and that was what I thought. Don’t blame pearl, this problem started with me and I am ready to make amends.”, Mrs Corden said and Erica scoffed.
“You of all people should be on my side mom, I can’t believe that you let this woman fool you. I also love Kyle as much as she does and I even went as far as giving my body to him.”, She said and Kyle felt guilty.
All what he thought was that if he gets into Erica’s skirt, he would finally forget about pearl but instead whenever they were having se-x, it’s always pearl’s image he was seeing.
But Erica was making it look like he was the one asking for se-x when the actual fact is that she goes to Kyle whenever she was hor-ny and in fact if Kyle doesn’t agree, she gets angry.
“Let’s talk outside please.”, Kyle said with a low voice and Erica walked out and Kyle followed.
“I’m sorry about what Erica said.”, Mrs Corden apologized and pearl just faked a smile.
“I will be going round the house.”, She said as she excused herself.

“What’s your explanation?”, She asked impatient.
“Erica I am really sorry about everything but believe me, I was planning to stop whatever we had between us because I could no longer decieve you and decieve myself. I tried my possible best to love you Erica but pearl was the only person I can ever love. I am sorry for leading you on and playing with your feelings but it’s best we go our separate ways, I hope you see a good man that will love you genuinely.”, Kyle said.
Erica glared at him ha-rd and slapped him again.
“I will have to do one more thing before I finally let go.”, She said and left.
“Ouch! That hurts.”, He said ru-b-bing his cheek.
Then he smiled, his mind is finally at rest. He has finally told erica about him and pearl.
He quickly went inside but he found only his mother.
“Where’s pearl?”, He asked.
“She went upstairs, I think she is not in a good mood after everything.”, Mrs Corden replied.
“I will go talk to her.”, He said but his mom called him back.
“I will be going back today, in fact I have a flight to catch in the next thirty minutes.”, She said looking at her time.
“Huh! Didn’t you just return?”
“I returned for a stupid reason but now I am returning,I just wanted to talk to pearl before I leave.”, She explained.
“I really have to go but I will be back soon, please send my regards to pearl. I promise I will be back soon.”, She said checking her time again.
“Okay if you say so! I will see you off to the airport.”, Kyle offered but she declined.
“I think you and pearl nee-d to talk and I am in a hurry. Greet my grandkids okay?”
“Okay see you soon mom and have a safe flight.”, Kyle said hu-gging her.
“Mom?”, He called and she turned to look at him.
“Thank you for accepting pearl.”, He said smiling and she smiled back.

Kyle checked around the house and he didn’t see pearl.
Then he got to the room and met her there looking at a book.
“Pearl are you okay?”, He asked hu-gging her from behind and she nodded.
“Remember that we agreed that there won’t be secret between us, please tell me what the problem is.”, He pleaded still hu-gging her.
“It’s just that — I think I am being unfair to Erica, I wouldn’t take it lightly if I were in her shoes,I didn’t even think about how she would feel.”, Pearl said and Kyle released her and turn her to face him.
“Don’t tell me that you want to break up with me.”, He said and she just looked down.
“You guys are getting married in few months.”, She answered.
“I already broke up with her which means that the marriage won’t take place.”, Kyle replied.
“But still…
“Pearl I un-derstand why you feel but think about it this way, if I should marry Erica, the marriage won’t just work because I don’t love her and she doesn’t love Ryan and Emma. You won’t be happy, she won’t be happy, the kids won’t be happy and I won’t be happy.”, He said.
“I want her to meet a guy that will love her so please don’t think of breaking up with me .”, Kyle said.
“I’m sorry Kyle, I was just feeling guilty.”, She said hu-gging him.
“Don’t feel guilty, we did the right thing by ending things.”, He said hu-gging her back.
“I love you.”, He said.
“Love you too.”, She replied.
“How much do you love me?”, He asked and she laughed.
“My love for you is unexplainable and ever lasting.”, She said as she pec-ked him shyly.
“Woah! You are good with sweet words, you must have learnt it from me. I am blus-hing.”, He said covering his face playfully and she hit his che-st.
“Let’s do something.”, He suggested ki-ssing her ne-ck.
“What?”, She pretended not to know what he was talking about.
“You know what.”, He said as he continued ki-ssing her ne-cked making her close her eyes in plea-sure.
“I don’t.”, She stated again.
“Really?”, He asked.
“Yes.”, She said firmly.
“Let me break it down for you.”, He said as he carried her to the bed and off his cloth.
“You are not serious.”, She said blus-hing.
“I fuc*king am especially when it comes to tasting you.”, He said and she hit his che-st as she blus-hed ha-rder.
“What if the kids see us?”, She asked as they ki-ssed.
“We will be fast.”, He said and he smashed his li-ps on hers.
