“Mom!
“Mommy!
I heard Annie’s voice from outside and I could tell she was close to the door. I quickly return the old stuff back to the box and push it under the bed. Annie doesn’t know about any of this, she doesn’t even know she’s adopted, she sees me as her real mother and she always asked about her dad but I only told her he left us a long time ago. Theirs is no point in telling her all these because am happy having her in my life and I don’t want to ruin it by telling her about my past or letting her know she’s adopted, I can’t and will never do that.
“Mummy! She smiled as she push the door and walked in happily.
“Are you crying? She suddenly asked when she noticed my pale face.
“No sweetie, am just tired,” I said with a faux smile while she hug me lightly.
“I know you so well mom, you looked so happy when we came but now you look like someone who lost something precious to her,”
“Nop, this time you’re wrong because am perfectly fine, am just tired,”
“Okay, Drake is here already and dinner is also ready,”
“Drake is here? I asked then stood up from the bed.
“Yes mom. I’ve missed him so much and he looks more handsome this time,” she giggle while I laugh.
“Well let me see for myself,” I held her hand and we walked out together.
“Drake! I smiled seeing him.
“Hi aunt, happy to see you,” he laughed then rush and gave me a hug.
“It been a while,” he chuckle
“Okay guys dinner is ready and am pretty hungry,” Annie said while I smile.
“You like food too much you know,” I pinch her nose playfully and we walked to the dining table
We had dinner together. Annie and Drake has been doing all the talking’s while I just eat silently watching them. They act so funny, cool, crazy and I like that- such a good couple. Am glad Annie choose Drake.
“Drake! I called while he looked at me.
“Uhmm… your dad told me the girl I saved stays in your house,”
“Sure,” he shrugged
“How is she doing now? I asked
“I don’t know, I don’t talk to her,” he said then continue eating.
“You don’t talk to her? Why?
“Nothing, I guess am not just interested in her in anyway,”
“Who are you talking about? Annie asked, she stared at me then back to Drake.
“You still remember the girl I told you about? The one I found along side of the road almost death!
“Yeah! So what happen? She asked.
“She stays in our house, dad insisted to help her and mom also agreed to that. Nanny Kora like her already she always talk to her.. it’s so annoying you know, I don’t like her one bit,” he said and I was surprised to hear that from him.
“Don’t take it personal Drake, your dad is just trying to help,” I said.
“Help! This 21st century for crying out loud if he wanted to her he should get connected to her parents, take her home and give her some cash and not to bring in a total stranger in our house,” he said, his voice sounded with anger.
“Sure… I mean who does that by bringing in a complete stranger to their home,” Annie said while i sigh.
“But what actually happen to the girl? I asked.
“I don’t know anything about that, I don’t even know a single thing about her maybe except her name and that’s because nanny Kora always talks about her,” he said while I just nodded.
“Looking forward to seeing her thou,” I said while Annie stared at me.
“Are you also interested in her? She asked.
“Nop, I just wanna see her for myself and nothing else,” I said.
“Well, we shouldn’t be talking about the poor thing, let talk about something more important,” Annie said while Drake chuckle. I didn’t find that funny and I wanted to talk to Annie to mind her words but I just sighed and decided to let it slide, i don’t want to ruin the moment.
After dinner Annie accompanied Drake out while I return back to my room and quickly return the box back to the sto-re before Annie will get to see anything.

Annie’s POV ✨
I walked Drake to the gate and our hands were clasped together.
“You like her? I asked him while he stared back at me.
“Like who?
“The girl your dad adopted,” I said while he chuckle then held my shoulder.
“She’s not adopted okay… once she’s fully recovered, she will gonna go back to her goddamn family,” he said..
“Don’t tell me you are jealous already, jealous of someone you haven’t even see,” he laughed but i didn’t find that funny, I just rolled my eyes and wanted to walk away but he pulled me into a hug.
“Babe, okay am sorry,”
“So you think I will get jealous of that low life!” I scoffed.
“Am just kidding babe. I love you and nothing or anyone can change that,” he said sweetly while I still maintain a straight face, he ki-ssed me on the cheeks then wanted to go down to my li-ps but I stopped him.
“I have to go now,” I said then hurried back to the house but he caught me half way.
“What’s the point of getting angry about this? He asked while I smirk, the look on his face was priceless! he looked so worried and i know he can’t stand it when am mad at him. Am his weak point because he loves me so much, even more than I love him…
“Ta….daa…..” I laughed.
“Am not angry with you my love,” I smiled then ki-ssed him pa-ssionately…????
Drake’s POV▪▪
“Whoa… I smiled as i walked to the sitting room. Today was such a long night, am glad I saw Annie, she’s back and I felt so complete, i can’t wait to see her in school tomorrow. I was surprised to see Bianca on the couch sleeping. I stopped for a while and stare at her, her face look so pale but yet so beautiful. What! Did I just say beautiful. I sighed and was about climbing the stairs when Nanny walked in.
“thank goodness you’re back,” she smiled.
“please Bianca is asleep can you take her to her room,” she said.
“You mean I should wake her?
“Just carry her to her room, I guess she fall asleep while watching the TV and I don’t have the strength to carry her and even If I wake her up she will still need someone to help her walk so please just…
“Cut it off Nanny! am not her personal nurse nor bodyguard,” I said walking away
” I didn’t raise you this way, why are you so rude huh?? She said while I stopped him then turn to her.
“Okay Nanny am just tired,” I grumbled then walked over to where Bianca was lying. I carried her in my arms then headed straight to her room which was opposite to mine upstairs, I gently laid her on the bed then stare at her one last time before going out. I know if I didn’t do this Nanny Kora would keep blabbing this shits to my ears and tell me how rude or bad i am- am so fed with her in this goddamn house!

I packed my car as i arrived to the school parking lot. I smiled seeing how busy the school was, i felt so great being here mom really did a good job by getting me admission here.
“whoa…” i smirk as i stare at the few girls around, i never thought we have se-xy girls around here,” i smile to myself.
“hey dude,” Seth smile when he saw me.
“wow! is this your car? he asked pointing at the car as he stood beside me.
“sure… i like this place already,” i smiled.
“or maybe you only like the girls,” he smirk while i laughed.
“here is filled with lots of spoilt brat especially the ladies so be careful,”
“i always have my way to get any girl i want to,” i smirk and just when i was about leaving with Seth i sighted a lady- i froze at the spot as i admire her beauty. She looks so hot and se-xy! not only that i think she’s the most prettiest girl i have ever seen. She’s smartly dressed in a black leather jacket, black short tights, white crop top and of course a boots.
“who the fu-ckare you staring like that? Seth nudge me bringing me back to reality.
“who is she? i asked him.
“who.. that girl? he asked referring to the girl i was staring, she walked elegantly to some group of boys who were probably waiting for her and she hug-ged the one in the middle, followed by a ki-ss, i stood there with a frown plastered on my face.
“that’s Drake. Dr. Nigel’s only son,” Seth while i stared at him.
“am only familiar with his dad thou,”
“and that must be his girlfriend.. who knows,” he shrugged.
“hey dude you’re just new here and this is no longer high school so beware of guys like Drake or rather beware of that girl, she might be his girlfriend,” he said..
“well let see,” i smirk still staring at them from afar…. She’s mine already!
