Bianca’s POV
i stare at myself one last time in the mirror and smile, satisfy with my looks. I have agreed to go to the birthday party but will come back on time i just hope Annie won’t be mad to see me and beside i might get the chance to see Dr. Nigel and Drake.
“where are you going? dad asked when i walked to the parlor

“to visit Yen their will be little celebration in their house,” i said.
“seems you are ready to go,” mom smile
“you look so beautiful dear, please come back on time,”
“thanks mom,” i hug-ged her.
“well i have a good news to tell you,” she looks so excited.
“what is it? i asked curiously.
“we are leaving in two days time, we are going to Toronto and you will be able to go to college over their,” she chuckle, the excitement was written all over her face but to me it wasn’t really a good news..
“that’s good mom,” i replied with a faux smile. Mom has already made up her mind about us leaving and dad also greed to that so theirs no point in talking to them about it.
I walked down the street and boarded a cab, i felt so guilty lying to my parents but i can’t tell them am going to Mrs. Harriet daughter birthday party, mom will never agree to that and is not just about going to the party but getting to see those families that saved my life when i almost died.

▪▪After the long drive i arrived to the venue Mrs. Harriet texted at the G. A hall, i glance at my phone and notice it 6pm, I left home at 5pm and i know mom might be expecting me before 9pm.
I walk to the large hall and was stunned by what I saw. The place was beautifully decorated and also filled with Annie’s picture, most of the guests, seated in-group, were dressed so beautiful in an expensive clothes, I feel like I don’t even fit in here, I stare at my dress,
it a pretty long gown which accentuates my curve, it really looks good on me- it was the gown mom brou-ght for me to wear during the prom… which never happens !
From what I saw here I feel like am dressed in rag even thou i tried my best to look good . The hall was filled with lots of dignitaries and few celebrities I could recognize. I felt so nervous as my eyes roam around the place, I didn’t even see a glimpse of Mrs. Harriet and if not for Annie’s picture that were all over the place i would have say am at the wrong venue.
“Bianca,” a familiar voice called and I quickly turn to see who just called me.
“Drake!
His eyes darted over mine and for a moment i was lost staring at him. He was in an impeccable gold-coloured suit with gilded bu-ttons to match. He looked so handsome.
“You’re looking gorgeous tonight,” he smile
“Thanks,”
“What a surprise visit… you didn’t tell me you are coming,”
“Uhmm… Mrs. Harriet invited me,”
“It nice seeing you again,”
“The party is about to start already..
My eyes were fixed at the door when I saw Annie who just walked in with her mom, they looked so beautiful.
“Feel free and enjoy the party,” Drake said before walking up to them. I sigh feeling so lonely as I sat down.
“Bianca! Mrs. Harriet smile as walked to where I was seated.
“Am glad you came,”
“Sure I wouldn’t want to turn down your invitation,”
” it’s being a while..
My mood changed when Annie walked in.
“Happy birthday Annie,” I smile hoping she wouldn’t act rude or humiliate me.
“Thanks Bianca, am glad you came,” she smile and I was surprised when she hug-ged me.
“enjoy the party let me attend to other guest,” Mrs. Harriet said while I nodded.
✨The party has Commence already, Mrs. Harriet gave a short speech, she’s so intelligent and smart and I always like the way she Did her things, like the way she talks, walk and even laugh she seems to be a woman of principle and highly trained. But I sometimes wonder who her husband was, he must be so lucky but no one has ever mentioned him to me and If he was with them then he should be here to celebrate his daughter. My mind were occupied with so many thoughts but got distracted when I saw Dr. Nigel and his wife. I felt so relief seeing them as we talked…
Annie’s POV ▪▪
The party was going on well and I enjoyed every bit of it. Mom really make it a big day for me but seeing that lowlife in my party ruined my happy mood I just decide to act nice so mom would stop seeing me as the bad guy.
My phone beep and seeing it was a message from Gary.
????** “Sorry I’m late, but am already at the balcony”**????
What!! Does he expect me to go there or what! I sigh as I eye searched for Drake but he was nowhere to be found.
I walked to the balcony and I saw him there holding a bouquet of flowers, he looks so handsome and the flowers looks beautiful and expensive as well.
“Happy birthday! Annie,” he smile then gave me the flowers.
“Thanks,” i sniffed it, I wonder how he get to know my favorite flower.
“So, you came late and you don’t want to go inside and see how the party is going on? I asked
“Am sorry, but let just say am busy this evening,” he said and with that he surprisingly give me an unexpected ki-ss on my cheeks and then left.
What the heck was that!
What a weird guy, he came late and now he left already, so did he just came here to give me this flower then ki-ssed me.
“Who was that? I suddenly heard a familiar voice
Drake!
What is he doing here, did he saw what happen?
“What are you doing with him,” he asked.
“Umm.. he’s just a friend..
“And the ki-ss?
“Come on Drake that was nothing, it just a peck and beside it means nothing to me,”
“Seriously! So if you were in my shoes what will you think if you caught me that way with Bianca!
“And why are you mentioning Bianca in our conversation,” i half yelled
“am mentioning Bianca because she’s the only one you hate for no good reason. Anyway Theirs no point in arguing over this,” he said and with that he walked away angrily. I fumed in anger as i threw the flower i was holding.
Bianca always ruined my happy moment with Drake, of all the girls he knew why will he mention her in our conversation or is she gradually bewitching my boyfriend. I thought she was out of our lives for good when she left but mom was adamant and decided to invite her here even without my opinion, mom sometimes sees me as the bad guy all because of Bianca and now Drake, we have been having issues whenever Bianca is involved..

Bianca’s POV▪▪
“this is the best birthday i have ever seen, Annie is so lucky,” i said to Mrs. Harriet. It was 8pm already and i went to bid goodbye to her because i need to leave before my parents get worried.
“Annie deserves more than this because she’s my happiness, a blessing to me when i lost everything,” she smile sadly and i know there must be a sad story behind those words.
“i like the relationship you have with your daughter and that always remind me of me and my mom, she loves me too. Anyway, i was hoping to see your Annie’s dad,” i asked. I don’t even know what gave me the courage to even ask her that but i guess i was just curious and need to know.
“oh.. Annie’s dad is such a busy man,” she replied but her countenance changed and i saw how sad she was, i felt so stupid for asking that perhaps she don’t want to talk about that.
“it okay ma’am, i have to be on my way,”
“okay, i will just ask one of my driver to drive you home,”
“no.. i can go there on my own,”
“no dear, it dark already and i want to make sure you’ll arrive home safe,” she enthused.
“thanks,”
“you’re always welcome Bianca, so what about those monsters that tried to kill you, Nigel told me you gave up on that already- why? she asked
“uhmm… i have no choice because Morris is already death and Gary denied everything, he looks so innocent, am still finding it ha-rd on what to believe and beside i have no evidence,
everything seems so pointless now and i think it’s best if i should just forget about the past and moved on,”
“you don’t have to trust everyone around you Bianca, always be careful around him that way you might know if he’s innocent or not..
don’t just believe him like that am talking out of experience. I was the type that trust easily back then but ever since the people i trusted stabbed me so ha-rd from behind i’ve learned my lessons and i promised myself i will never allow them hurt me twice again. You don’t have to be so soft always sometimes you have to show how tough you can be,” she said and those words really got to me. I wanted to ask if she knows anything about my mom but an idea pop into my head.
“thanks a lot Ma’am,”
“don’t be too formal, if you want you can call me mom,” she smile.
“mom! it sound so great,” we both laughed.
“uhmm.. Ma’am… i mean mom,” i corrected myself.
“i wish you can meet my mother and am sure she will be glad to see you,” i said.
“wow.. that will be so great.. but my schedules are tight throu-ghout this week. When am less busy we will talk about that,”
“thanks a lot,” i smile. I stare at Annie behind her, she looked so angry and she was staring at me in particular.
“mom,” she called as she walked up to us.
“thank goodness you are here, Bianca was about leaving,” Mrs. Harriet said.
“yeah, thanks for coming Bianca,” she smile and i knew that was fake.
“i will just ask one of my driver to drive her mom,’
“sure mom,” Annie smirked looking at me…
Drake’s POV????
I was so mad when i recognize the guy that peck Annie, he even have the guts to give her flowers. Isn’t that the same guy i saw at Bianca’s place, the guy she ki-ssed. Am sure he’s definitely Gary and he must be behind everything that happen to Bianca. Does he think he can try that with Annie, i guess i need to tell her to stay away from him, she have to know he’s Bianca’s ex maybe with that she can completely stay away from him.
“hi son.. where have you been? mom asked.
“i was busy outside,”
“Bianca wanted to see you before leaving but you were nowhere to be found so she left already,” mom explained while i sigh.
“too bad i didn’t get to see her. I will just call her when i get home but for now i have to see Annie,” i said as i hurriedly went to Annie, she was standing outside making a call, i stood by the door to wait for her but was shocked when i heard her conversation.
???? “this a change of plan Pat, am so angry at her for ruining my party. She has already left in one of mom’s car and i also sent Rogers and his men to follow and attack them on their way.
I want her be to badly ra-ped, maybe after that she will so ashamed to face us and with that she will know her limit. A lowlife like her doesn’t deserve to mingle with people like us, she’s gradually on my mom’s side and same thing with Drake but you know me too well i won’t allow that,” ????she said into the phone and i was shocked hearing that from Annie..????
