As soon as the intruder spoke. Ashton and Charmaine looked up to see Zach starring at them with a crazy smile on his face.
Ashton had totally forgot about Zach telling him that he will be coming to see him.
“My Gosh! You do work fast dude” Zach said not bothering to leave.
Feeling embarrassed by this, Charmaine left the room and in anger, Ashton threw a pillow at Zach who easily caught it.
“Can’t you read the lines and get lost” Ashton yelled at him.
“Sorry but what I have to say won’t take your time. Here you go” he said giving Ashton a invite card.
“It’s Essex birthday tomorrow and we’ve been invited. The dummy forgot to give it to us earlier and so I offered myself as the errand boy and also I heard about the accident at school, are you okay?” Zach asked.
“I am good and am being taken care of by Charmaine, so you can take your leave ” Ashton said as he escourt the laughing Zach to the front door.
“I promise to always knock in future, have a steamy night together ” Zach said as he gave him a wink before sauntering off.
As soon as Ashton shut the door on him, he went in search of Charmaine whom he found sleeping on her bed with her back turned to him.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
“I am” she replied after keeping quiet for a while.
“Why aren’t you looking at me? ” Ashton asked.
“Nothing. If you don’t mind, I’d like to be alone” Charmaine said still not looking at him.
“Are you angry because Zach saw us?”
“Am not, I just…I feel embarrassed. It’s best if I sleep it off and you need to get some rest too ” she replied.
Ashton payed no heed to what she said last and went towards her, lifting her into his arms.
“What are you doing? You are going to worsen your injury” she said wanting to get off but he tightened his hold.
“You aren’t sleeping here tonight, I won’t allow it” he said adamantly before carrying her back to his room where he layed her on it and got in next to her.
“Ashton am not in the mood for…”
“I know and I didn’t bring you back here to continue from where we stop. I just want to hold you while sleeping, it’s hard for me to sleep by myself when you’ve tainted my bed ” he joked softly which got her smiling.
“And also you shouldn’t be embarrassed about it. What almost happened between us is something beautiful and if Zach hadn’t interrupt, it would have been much more beautiful ” he said as he pulled her into his arms.
“Get some sleep and remember that I love you ” he whispered before kissing her forehead.
A smile lit Charmaine face and wrapping her arms around him, she shut her eyes.

Foster walk into house whistling and the first thing he saw was the well decorated garden.
“Oh! It’s the adopted son birthday tomorrow” he muttered to himself before going to his room.
As soon as he switch on the light, he saw Essex waiting for him.
“What are you doing here?” Foster let out softly.
“What was that with you and Daphne this afternoon?” Essex said in return.
“What do you think it is?”
“If you are only around her to mess with me, I want you to leave her….”
“I have no intention of doing that. Daphne is a kind girl and she doesn’t deserve to be hurt by you” Foster cut him off abruptly.
“Am not hurting her!” Essex yelled out.
“You are! You and your indecisiveness. You think I don’t know what you are doing? You love Daphne but you hold onto Stella due to the money her father possess just Incase my dad turns his back on you, you intend to make Stella your easy pass, you bloody jerk!” Foster accused which got Essex pulling him roughly on the shirt.
“You are right. Stella is my back up plan just In case your dad doesn’t give me a thing and I love Daphne. Since you know this, shouldn’t you stay away from her?” Essex asked
“Sorry dude. I have no intention of staying away cause am also in love with her too!” Foster replied as he push Essex hands off.
“Do you expect me to believe that crap?”
“Doubt me all you want and I don’t care. All you should know is that I won’t let you hurt Daphne again, get out of my room!” Foster ordered and having no choice Essex left his room.

< Next Day ~ Charmaine and Ashton House >
Charmaine woke up due to the chirping birds and as soon as her eyes landed on Ashton, she couldn’t help but to keep starring at his sleeping face.
He made a baby face which made him look angelic. That’s why most girls keep going after him, she thought as she pushed back a strand of hair.
“What is wrong with me?” She whispered as she sat up while touching her chest.
“Why’s it beating fast ?” She whispered again in confusion.
“It proves that you’ve fallen for me” Ashton said suddenly.
“You don’t know what you are saying” Charmaine replied and made to get off the bed but he pulled her back and lay over her.
“I know the feeling cause that’s how I feel whenever you are close to me. Feel it yourself” he said as he lifted her hand to his chest.
“It’s me telling you that I love you and if your heart is doing the same thing then you also feel the same way” he muttered and Charmaine couldn’t help but to acknowledge his words.
He was about to kiss her when they heard the door bell, she wanted to go but he insisted on going himself.
Ashton opened the door only to see Gwen there.
“Why are you here?” Ashton asked with annoyance.
“I heard about the accident yesterday and I….thank God you are safe” she said as she wrap her arms around him.
Ashton was taken aback by her action but he began to struggle to get her off of him just as Charmaine walk out of his room.
“Why is she coming out of your room?” Gwen asked as she glared at Charmaine who had obviously seen the hug they both shared.
“That’s none of your….”
“I know that you two are staying in the same house but you both have different rooms which mean she….” Gwen stopped what she was saying as she walk the distance between her and Charmaine to give her a slap on the face.
“You slut!” Gwen yelled as Ashton quickly pulled her away from Charmaine.
“Ashton is my man! He belongs to me and just so you know, We are engaged and will be getting married, So stay away from him!” Gwen yelled ignoring Ashton attempt to get her to stop talking.
“Shut the f^ck up!” Ashton yelled at her.
“Why should I? Am only telling this slut to stay away from what belongs to me!” Gwen yelled at him in return.
“I don’t belong to….”
“You don’t need to worry, Gwen. I have no intention of taking your man away, he’s all yours ” Charmaine return as she glared at the both of them before going into her room.
“You are a slut! You should get out of….”
“That’s enough!” Ashton snapped which got her doing as he said.
“You are really getting on my nerves. Have made it clear to you and our parents that I have no intention of getting married to you! Get that into your head and leave me alone ” Ashton added which got her shaking her head.
“I won’t leave you alone, I love you Ashton and….”
“I don’t love you. I only love Charmaine now do me a favour and get out!” Ashton cut her off.
“Ashton I….” She couldn’t get to finish her sentence cause Ashton pulled her roughly out of the house.
He let out a sigh before going to Charmaine door.
He knocked severally asking her to talk to him and when she didn’t, he gave up and went to his room.

< Restaurant >
“Are you sure about this? Can that Foster guy be trusted?” Charmaine asked which got Daphne nodding..
“He is a good guy and he insisted on me attending the birthday party” Daphne replied.
“If he’s going to keep you safe then there’s nothing to worry about just don’t jump into his bed, give it sometime before agreeing to….”
“Foster and I aren’t like that. We are just friends ” Daphne said as she cut Bridget off.
“I doubt that. Foster has been nothing but kind to you which leaves me with the conclusion that he’s in love with you” Bridget added.
“That’s not it” Daphne insisted just as her phone rang.
“Foster is here already. See you at the party” she said as she hurriedly left the restaurant.
“Lucky her. She gets to attend the party as a guest while we get to attend as a waitress. Who on earth book our restaurant for such a thing?” Bridget asked aloud but Daphne knew that it’s Gwen doing.
She had over heard their boss conversation when he was taking the order.
She only hope that Gwen wouldn’t get on her nerve during the party cause she won’t let her.

< Essex And Foster Home >
“Happy birthday dude” Zach greeted Essex cheerfully as he and Ashton handed him their gifts.
“Thanks. It’s a surprise to see that you two aren’t with a partner” Essex mock gently.
“I don’t mind providing one for you both” Stella cut in as she joined them giving Essex a possessive kiss.
“I brought a cousin of mine which can be of great company to Zach and as for Ashton, Gwen has been looking around for you” Stella told the two of them.
“Thanks but I have no interest” Ashton replied before walking off.
“Same goes for me, enjoy the party” Zach added before walking off.
“You friends are really something” Stella said just as two people walking in gained their attention.
Essex and Stella eyes widened in shock as they watch Foster and a much more prettier Daphne walking into the party.
“What did I tell you? You will be the centre of attraction” Foster whispered into the nervous Daphne ear.
“Am nervous, Foster” Daphne said in return which got Foster stopping.
“Don’t worry, I am here for you. So put your mind at ease and enjoy the party” Foster said as he kissed her on the lips.
Essex hold on Stella hands hardened when he saw the kiss Foster gave Daphne.
“Ouch! That hurts” Stella let out and Essex chose to walk off in anger not bothering apologise.
On seeing Daphne at the party, Ashton knew Charmaine will certainly come and he was about calling her when Gwen showed up.
“Can I be your partner?” Gwen asked.
“I already have one” Ashton returned fiercely.
“If you are referring to Charmaine then you should find another excuse since I hired her to be amongst the waitress in tonight’s party” Gwen told him with a evil smile on her face.
Ashton gaze went to the serving area and he saw Charmaine serving a guest but her gaze was on them , an accusing one to be precise.
Gwen chose his distraction to hug him which got Charmaine feeling more angry and jealous.
“Get away from me!” Ashton said as he push her off of him before heading to the waitress table.

< A While Later >
Daphne stood on the second floor balcony starring down at everyone.
Since Foster attention was taken by his friend Stephen, she had decided to go talk to her friend but on seeing how busy they were, she chose not to disturb them and came to this quiet spot instead.
She was sipping her wine when she felt someone watching her from behind.
“You look beautiful” Essex said.
“Thank you” Daphne replied and made to leave but Essex stood in her path.
“Are you dating Foster?”
“Why do you ask? It’s none of your business”
“Foster is only after you to get to me. Don’t trust him and you should stay away from him” Essex said quickly.
“On the contrary, Foster have always been there for me. Whenever you made me sad and hurt my feelings, he has always been there to cheer me up, so it’s best you save your speech for some one else since….” Daphne was cut short when Essex kissed her.
“Let go of me!” Daphne said as she manage to push him off.
“I love you Daphne. There’s a reason why am still with Stella but when I resolve it then I…”
“Don’t listen to him” Foster said suddenly as he walk towards them pulling Daphne to his side.
“Stay out of this !” Essex yelled at Foster.
“Go wait downstairs for me ” Foster told her with a smile and when she tried to leave Essex took hold of her hand.
“We need to talk” he said looking desperate but Daphne push his hand off before going downstairs.
“Until when will you keep hurting her? You claim you love her but you are only doing things that will hurt her!” Foster yelled at him.
“I love her and you are begining to get on my nerve” Essex yelled before giving Foster a punch on the face.
“And you are irritating me!” Foster yelled in return before hitting him back.
Daphne stood in the rest room, shaken up by what happened a while ago.
She was about applying her lip gloss when it was snatched out of her hand by Stella.
“You slut! Did you dress up to seduce my boyfriend?” Stella asked while Gwen stood by the door way to keep watch.
“Am not in the mood for your nonsense!” Daphne said wanting to leave but Stella pulled out a scissor and began to tear Daphne gown.
“Are you crazy!” Daphne yelled at her.
“Because of sluts like you. Our boyfriends stray away from us, I won’t let you take what is mine” Stella said.
“A good beating should do the trick” Gwen added as they both move towards Daphne but Charmaine who was in the cubicle got out in time to pour mopping water on the both of them.
“Are you crazy?” Gwen yelled looking like a wet zombie.
“You both are the crazy ones and besides, I can’t sit back and watch you hurt my friend ” Charmaine replied.
“Your friend is a slut just like you!” Stella yelled as they both launch towards Daphne and Charmaine and immediately a fight ensued between the girls right in the rest room.
Mean while a scuffle began between Essex and Foster which earned the attention of the guest since the fight was happening on the second floor.
On seeing this, Stephen quickly went upstairs to help Foster and immediately the two began to hit Essex until Zach and Ashton arrived to help Essex.
The five boys fought not worried about the birthday party which they’ve ruined due to their fist fight.
