I will deal with her squarely. I thought angrily.

Early the next morning, I woke up and left for work.

At exactly 2pm as announced the previous day, the entire staff were called into a meeting with the CEO in the auditorium.

We welcome you all to this staff meeting.
We want to make everything snappy so that we can all go back to our various posts.

The agenda is to inform you that, the award winner and my team will be embarking on our journey to Europe for the holidays tomorrow.
Secondly, I am sorry to inform all of you that, the company has opened up a branch in Europe, so I wouldn’t be coming back to this company again.
I’ve been appointed as the CEO over there. He narrated.

Nevertheless, there is a new CEO to replace me, and his name is Mr Appiah Kubi.
I urge you all to accord him the same respect as you did for me. He introduced.

The new CEO took over and delivered his speech.
He was an ugly old man.

I bowed down my head in tears.
Aaahhh, how could I loose this battle? How? I thought in pain.

Just then, my mother’s thoughts run throu-ghmy mind.
“Baaba, walk into his office and propose to him”

Immediately after the meeting, I walked into his office with tears of confidence.

Baaba, what is wrong with you? Why are you in tears? He asked surprisingly.

Quickly, I went down on my knees.
Sir please, I love you and I want you to marry me. I proposed.

He burst into laughter.
Baaba, are you serious? What has come over you? He asked.

Sir please say yes to me. Please accept my proposal. I pleaded.

Baaba, this is ridiculous!
Well, I am not interested in you and I will never be.
Please stand up and walk out of my office! He instructed.

I stood up and quickly pulled down my skirt!
The man ran out of his office and called the security guards on me.

They came and manhandled me out of his office.
I wept bitterly whiles they maltreated me out of the work premises.

Madam, please go home.
Management will definitely take decision on you tomorrow. The head of security said.

I got into my car and drove off to the house in tears.
Just when I entered the house, my mom was busily watching news in the sitting room.

She raised up her head and saw the tears in my eyes.
She then burst into laughter.

Hahahahahahaha! What a pleasant day! A day to see my enemies in tears. She insinuated.

Mummy, you can laugh all you want, but I a-ssure you, he who laughs last, laughs the best. Just watch out for me in this house you loser! I insulted and walked into my room.

Days pa-ssed and I just didn’t bother myself going to the workplace again.
I just knew my dismissal letter was waiting for me.

My father called me one day to the sitting room.

Baaba, your mother told me you’ve not been going to work lately, is there something I must know? He inquired.

No daddy, I am no longer interested in working at that place again.
I want you to fly me to Europe to go and do my masters program. I responded.

Baaba, not now. I want your sister to finish with hers.
If you leave, this house will be boring. Please un-derstand me. He pleaded.

Alright daddy, I have heard you, but please, allow me to stay in the house. I am not interested in working anymore. I responded.

If you say so Baaba, anything for you. He said.

Now, I have all the time in this world to cause my mother pain.
I will make sure she weeps her soul out. I thought.

The rivalry between us intensified by day.
She made mockery of me anytime I stepped out of my room.

The rivalry between us intensified by day.
She made mockery of me anytime I stepped out of my room.

I went to the most expensive boutique in town to get myself more cla-ssy shoes and dresses to catch up my father’s attention.

One hot afternoon, I wore a tiny shorts and a see throu-ghblouse matched with high heels and drove straight to my father’s office.

Wow my daughter, you are looking great. Dad complimented.

Thanks daddy, I’m here to take you out for lunch. I responded happily.

He wrapped up with his office work and drove me to a restaurant.
We ate, drank, and conversed happily.

I could clearly see the handsomeness in my father’s eyes.
He was such a perfect gentleman.

God, please allow me to pene-trate this man’s heart. I thought.

Baaba, are you with me? I am talking to you but you seem absent minded. Daddy prompted.

Yes daddy, sorry I was thinking about something little. I responded.

Talk to me Baaba, what is bothering you? You don’t seem too happy lately. He said.

Daddy, I am so lonely, that is why I wanted to travel to Europe for my masters degree, but since you said I should wait for a while, I want you to promise me that, you will always be there to make me happy.
Daddy, I want you to promise me that, wherever you go, you will take me along. I said sadly.

Baaba, is that all? Is this the only reason why you look so depressed lately?
Well don’t worry, I promise to do anything you say.
I promise to even travel with you. He responded.

I got so happy and hug-ged him so ti-ght.
The smell that was coming out of his mouth was so romantic.
His body scent was so masculine and se-xy.
I raised my head and stared de-eperly into his eyes.
He stared back at me and broke the silence.

Baaba, get up and let’s go.
Break time is over, I have a lot on my desk. He said and stood up.

I leaned on his shoulder as we drove back to his office.

Baaba, what will you do now? Go back home or stay with me till I close? He asked.

Daddy I will stay with you.
I want to have dinner with you before we go home. I proposed.

That is no problem Baaba, get yourself busy with some movies on the laptop whiles I study my dockets. He responded.

I sat in the office admiring my father whiles he was busy working.
Finally, the day was over and we drove to the restaurant again.

I secretly picked his phone and switched it off.
I engaged my se-xy father in a lengthy chat until late in the night.

My mother kept calling me but I refused to answer.
I knew she was worried about her husband.

Whoops, it’s 11pm already, Baaba, let’s get going. Your mother might be lonely. Daddy said.

We drove off to the house in our various cars.
When we entered the house, mom was furiously seated in the sitting room.

Mr Benson, where in God’s name are you coming from at this ungodly hour? She asked my father.

Come on dear, I was spending time with my daughter. Sorry we stayed out this late. Daddy responded.

I just bypa-ssed them and headed towards my room.
Where do you think you are going to Baaba? Mummy asked angrily.

My room of course, is there something you want me to do for you? I responded cheekily.

Baaba, you are so shameless, since when did you start having dinner with your father?
If you’ve reached a stage where you want to have dinner with a man, I suggest you find a husband. She yelled angrily.

Cut the drama! What in God’s name has come over you?
Don’t I have the right to spend time with my own daughter anymore? My father asked angrily.

Mr Benson, don’t you dare yell at me because of this cheap prostitute! Mummy insulted.

Before she could land with her words, my father had slapped her heavily.
She screamed in pain and the maids run to scene.

What are you doing here?
You people should get your gossip faces out of here. I commanded.

To be continued…
